Uh also field maintenance um at the grandstand field and other surrounding fields is underway. So some residents may have seen um mounds of new clay for those fields. Um, so a lot has transpired, but we will try to keep the highlights here. We had a public meeting. Well, I shouldn't say we had. We attended a public meeting last Thursday on April 7 00:01:46.320 --> 00:02:02.320 2nd that was held by the board of public utilities and the uh act the administrative law judge. Uh and we had a lot of comments uh because what is 8 00:02:02.320 --> 00:02:21.200 before the BPU is a rape case for the the Violia New Jersey and Allenale is part of Violia, New Jersey. So we are actively registered as interveners in this case in order to ensure that the 9 00:02:21.200 --> 00:02:37.680 contract that Allenell signed with Violia is recognized and addressed by the BPU as they are making decisions on this rate case. for everybody that is a resident of Allenale. 2026 10 00:02:37.680 --> 00:02:55.599 starting July 1st is a year where we should see or could see as much as a 5% increase in our rates. And what we are trying to ensure is that Vilia is not 11 00:02:55.599 --> 00:03:11.760 allowed to take higher rate increases than that. But I can assure you that there are thousands and thousands and thousands of pages of documents that we are really attempting to weed through and have sent a lot of communications to 12 00:03:11.760 --> 00:03:30.000 the rateayer advocates to the BPU staff and um also we've talked at great lengths to other elected public officials and had some of those public officials on the public comment this past Thursday. Uh, this was the final round after an interview with the public safety committee last week and after the pass process is now in its tabulation era. All our candidates did very well and we'll have an excellent tenant when Lieutenant Griff retires later this year. Chief Anderson reports that we have two new members joining the ranks, which is excellent news since organizations are having a lot of trouble finding new members. So you know every time we're on these calls it's really refreshing anytime I get an alcohol people and they're taking it seriously. So um a lot of hard work went into it.
