posted on the city website in the city hall bulletin board notice is hereby provided that c City Council meetings are audio recorded and or video streamed live live video streams are posted to the K May City website the city of K May is not responsible if audio recording or live video streaming of a meeting is unavailable roll call uh Deputy Mayor ban here council member McDade here council member Meyer here mayor mullik here council member Jagger is absent city solicitor Gillan Schwarz here city manager Dedrick here Deputy manager rigs here Deputy clerk Turner here and CFO Haney here any additions or deletions tonight Council any additions or deletions Council no updates old business city manager I have a couple things uh first um I'm going to start with the easy one uh we have a lot of different construction projects going on um for the major road jobs uh please visit the K May City website we have trying to keep schedule updates on the website as well as plans so if anybody's interested in what the projects look like and have details I've also given some of the costs and who the contractor is working on the projects just to give more information out to the public um some projects that AR 't there there's some City projects starting on uh November 4th uh we're going to be red public our public works department as part with part of the ada8 grant money that we have we're going to be reconstructing the uh Mount Vernon uh access so that you know so once it gets started working on that beach access will be closed until further notice um we just don't know how long from a timing perspective but um at this time of the Season everybody's just going to use if you're going to get use that end of the beach you're just going to have to co use the Cove entrance and uh work from there um there will also be a project here at City Hall our parking lot probably won't start for another two weeks so I don't know if we're going to have another meeting before that so um City Hall will be still open just parking you're going to have to either find on street parking or uh you know park it over at Acme if they're not charging that day but um or use the St John Street parking area or or lafette Street Park area uh for parking for City Hall why we do that work should only be about 3 weeks I believe for the total project time so it's not a long time um and we'll be asking our city employees to put in their steps they can all wear their steps you know watches and and increase their steps and do some health and wellness uh Fitness as part of their coming to work every day um next I have uh we did have been working with Kevin on scheduling uh the department budget uh hearings uh so we're going to we have two scheduled for November 22nd and November 25th so we'll make the appropriate postings uh for those meetings but we uh we we've advised the different department heads to you know schedule their meetings appropriately and um we'll have those that meeting available to the public if they want to uh sit in and see some exciting discussions on upcoming budgets where where we what we did this year and where we look to go next year um and then I just wanted to update we do have a resolution number 297 um and that is uh authorizing the shared services uh I've gotten a couple questions yes this is the same resolution we had at the last meeting um but after reviewing it with uh Chris and Aaron uh we just noticed some discrepancies between the actual proposal letter and and and uh what was in the payment schedule uh in the resolution so this is just to revise that payment schedule to reflect what their uh final proposal was that came in uh at the last minute which really was to the C's benefit so it it delayed some of those payments and I believe that was some public comment was about you know how much we're paying upfront so this I think if you look at this payment schedules it was based on you know a more appropriate payment schedule that was reflected can I interrupt real quick the certification of funds were on the previous previous ones and and we'll make sure we'll make sure that that same certification of funds is copied into the resolution to as part of the record thank you and I believe believe that's all I had for this evening thank you city manager go go ahead pardon me I didn't talk about the thing that was listed on the agenda I'm sorry um so on the agenda I had listed for the flood plane management plan planning annual progress update report so this is a report that we do every year it's part of our CRS program but it's also part of our uh flood Hazard all mitigation plan it goes through that plan and looks for any updates so obviously I've gone through did the various updates uh to it you know the big the big changes um there were some changes in our OEM team so we have to make those noted changes and then we did add one additional Hazard mitigation activity and that was a flood resil along Elmyra Street and Bank Street if you recall that was one of the capital projects that we put in the capital uh Bond but in order to make it eligible for a potential future FEMA project it needs to be identified in our HRA mitigation plan so we've included that there uh this report will once I present it here I will then uh submit it to both uh the county OEM director and uh send it out to the press for a public press release as as well as included a copy onto the city website um and then as a special note this year was our five-year uh annual recertification for CRS so I went through the uh long arduous process of going through in the recertification Recycling and I just got information at our flood plane conference last week that the um we will be able to maintain our class 5 uh CRS certification for this year um and so all things are good and they will be able to have the same similar 25% discount on uh your feem of flood insurance premiums great that's all I had thank you mayor that takes a lot of work Paul so thank you and to all of our OEM um folks and yeah and actually hard work and and this up here coming is actually the annual or the five-year update of the all Hazard mitigation plan so the OEM team will be doing a lot of extra planning this year and and updating that um all Hazard plan so that that's coming up this year so you'll see us having some additional meetings as well as making some public presentations here and at the planning board on as we update that all Hazard mitigation plan thank you city solicitor thank you okay city council any updates or old business no okay on the ordinances for introduction as first we have 547-2240 4 ordinance amending Bond ordinance 399 d2020 and capital ordinance 302-20 2016 uh 418 2021 each her to four finally adopted by the city council of the city of Kate May and the county of Kate May state of New Jersey to amend the description set forth therein do I have a motion I'll make that motion do I have a second I'll second any questions or comments Council actually yeah I actually had a question of Mr Haney from uh for 547 2024 I'm just curious um Mr hany how often is this exercise undertaken for the the sort of the reconciliation of of bonds um it's typically undertaken every couple of years in this instance we're going back um over a decade essentially through old Bond ordinances and collecting basically leftover amounts from projects and purchases sweeping them all up and reappropriate them to something that we can spend today on current projects okay so would this be an exercise you would see uh doing yearly just to sort of do a check-in versus allowing you to go definitely a yearly review to see what's kind of just sitting open on the books and we can move and then as things start to get old we would just do one to kind of sweep it all together I think she was also asking about the prior ordinates I think it was yes that was so that's yes that's yeah those older that's what he was addressing yeah uh and then um I just forgot my other question the second resolution no the second res I actually didn't have I I I understood what was being done for the second resolution I didn't get a chance to sort of question that's okay for the first one I can even clarify so for between the first and the second so the first one is related to things that have already been funded so that's where we're sweeping them up and reappropriate for the second ordinance it's related to either items that haven't been funded yet or are from Capital ordinances as opposed to bond ordinances and so for those we're just going back and amending the wording as opposed to reappropriate the amounts okay yeah thank thank you understood I think it's important to mention it's 560,000 yes between the two total 660,000 actually that we're freeing up essentially to use for current projects thank you any other questions or comments Council roll call council member Meyer yes council member McDade yes Deputy Mayor Balwin yes mayor M yes and now we have the public portion on the resolutions only is anyone here wishing to speak on resolutions this evening Mr Rous come on up uh Jules Rous 1010 New York Avenue if I if I could uh make it just to make a reference to 547 and 548 the you're you're having large sums of money without any definition of what project is going to receive how much money to do what and will that will those uh two ordinances Define what what they're going to be what the money is going to be used for we're we're basically taking the sweeping up all of those funds and applying it to the line item that was in our most recent Bond ordinance um in section three of the first ordinance you can see that they're being appropriated to provide for various improvements to City buildings facilities and Parks including but not limited to Lafayette Street Park Bank Street retaining wall Franklin streetcape and Tennis Club improvements so that's the wording that's taken from our bond ordinance in adopted earlier this year and applying that balance there so that basically frees up that money for us to spend against those projects we don't assign like specific set amounts to any one project in within the ordinance but we have that like on our side essentially in terms of the accounting for it well I guess the question is will city council have an opportunity to see what the project entails how much it how much it and how much it is and approve it yes good um in uh um resolution 297 um the the decision to go with uh Cumberland County was based on the experience that you've gotten uh as a result of Franklin Street School mhm Y and you're confident that they were the ones that were employed to do that construction management they were it was part of the decision I mean you know obviously they they made a presentation um on what they could do for the police station again I'll make the same comment as the last last time I think we're accelerating the the payments scheduling to them U but that's obviously your decision um just Mr Rous so you know that this actually decelerates the payment schedule to them this is a a change to the previously authorized agreement and it it backloads the payments towards the construction phase so there's lesser payments up front under the resolution and agreement that's in front of council tonight just just to be clear about that uh in at 297 has has it been identified as to what the the dam damage was and how much uh GIF or the insurance will cover 298 right9 298 298 yes you just covered that yeah we have an accounting of how much was damaged and how much we're recovering I believe the just I think how's the exact amount um so roughly 347,000 was the total the GIF and the Mel so together covered 100% of that minus are deductible of 1,000 happy to report that Paul and I were at that claims hearing and uh we should have the check any day we we actually already have the $999,000 check and the balance will be here any day that's great well done and this just to follow up with that the city further spent close to another $70,000 in providing additional lightning protection ction here at City Hall to prevent or lessen any future damage or attacks here at City Hall by putting lightning you know protection throughout the building as well as grounding all of the uh apperences within the building so you know I think we learned from past experience and we don't want to do this again to this magnitude again so uh we we've gone through and I I feel confident that we've protected Ed the building as best that we can um both electronically and you know from all the different systems Mr did we not also um have evaluate we we did look at the fire station but also we were doing an assessment of some of the other City buildings we are doing an assessment of all the other City buildings and that will you know we'll we'll look at budgetary Appropriations as necessary for those various other buildings that may need upgrades thank you uh in the bills uh there's a 24216 Rob Conley for $3,750 for the beach Patrol could there be an explanation please of of that we've been looking at doing renovations at the lifeguard station to improve the uh showers and the overall for both the men's and women's facilities uh the women's facilities are much you know the when that building was designed the I'll say the the male female ratio was skewed heavily to the the male population it is now I'll say more in Balance yeah it's 50/50 Mr Ral and those facilities are not adequate for the one guards I believe there had been discussion of enlarging the building I don't know whether so is this part of that we're looking at that analysis uh you know I guess a prior year proposal had had done some different expansions uh we had had some discussions with the D and shipo about you know conceptually but they needed some more finer details to find out where from an environmental perspective and a historical you know view shed based on our historic status so we we're doing some more fine tuned the layout and then ultimately building renderings for the permitting agencies thank you uh 24464 uh the street sweeper I assume this is a for a new sweeper and did we have to trade in or have we sold the the used sweeper we were we've been successful in the past that is a new that is a new street sweeper and I I don't know if that I don't know if it we have a a series of vehicles on gov deals now I'm inclined to think we might have sold one but but I don't know that off the top of my head yeah we have to we Council authorized several vehicles for sale I don't know if there's a street and there's been a batch that have been sold and there's some batch that are still out there so I don't know it did sell it did sell yeah it did sell do do you recall what the what the amount was I don't have that off the top of my head it goes to public auction on gov deals so highest bitter I'm just glad to see the city have the asset return but I and I but I will say that the prices that we you we saw much higher than what our minimum values were that we had established for that and in some of the ones where we would were looking at an alternative vendor through Enterprise to to re resell them we didn't use Enterprise to resell them we actually sold them on gov deals for a better price than what Enterprise was going to buy them back from so you know we looked at both of those and got a better deal for the city that's job thank you very much oh I mean and on that we the easiest thing we could have done is just per the contract that we have with Enterprise turned them in and got that number but you went to the extra step of getting uh more money frankly so thank you okay anyone else for uh public comment on resolutions this evening seeing none we can close close public comment on resolutions mayor if I could just comment on 299 if you don't mind um I really just want to thank again Deputy fire chief e um he couldn't make it here this evening this resolution really is to uh obviously accept that donation and thank him and his family um for it I really would be uh you know remiss if we uh you know just glanced over that so I just want to tell him thank you because it really is a huge addition to that Firehouse do you want to explain what that is which it's a piece of Steel from sure it it um is a piece of the World Trade Center steel that um has family um was able to obtain his father um actually separated into three different pieces for him and his two sisters um and when he saw the obviously the new Firehouse complete he thought it would be a the best spot really as a tribute to his Fallen um firefighters and First Responders it's really cool really y thank you for that okay on to the consent agenda yes anything to remove tonight Council anything Council no no all right do we have a motion to approve the consent agenda do I have a motion I'll make that motion may do I have a second I'll second call council member Meyer yes council member McDade yes japany mayor Balwin yes mayor mullik yes okay new business city solicitor nothing tonight mayor thank you city manager any anything new even within the last 30 seconds can I hold my comments after after the public portion I'd like to make a final announcement before the end of meeting city clerk just a few a reminder we obviously have trick- or treat this Thursday 5 to 8 I want to remind everybody that Washington Street will be closed from Jefferson to Union for the trick-or-treaters um election day coming up polls will be open 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 P.M on November 5th so our next meeting will not be until Monday November 18th due to the league of municipalities conference in Atlantic City a lot of us will be going to that um so reach out if you have any voting questions I'm here thank you and thank you for all your work of course setting up the voting it's obviously so important but thank you it's l of work um okay on to city council members uh Deputy Mayor the only thing I want to do is really thank um you mayor um as well as um Mr Dietrich and LX for that wonderful presentation at convention hall it was very informative there was a lot of information uh the public really um really had kind of an eye opener as far as what was going on in the the you know the look back period as well as the um uh the ability to go and make public comment so but thank you thank you uh councilman Meyer I I don't have anything to say at this time thank you okay uh councilwoman McDade nothing at this time okay I just want to um just before this uh meeting um we had a very nice uh presentation and um ribbon cutting for the new playground at uh at the Housing Authority um and I just want to thank Kate May cares and the fund for Kate May um all the donors and volunteers that made that effort um if you get a chance you don't really see it um but take a peek behind the buildings right there and look at the um kind of the Quad inside there it just looks if you were a kid and you looked at your window now and there's this brand new playground in a little shade structure it's just really really special and um there's a lot of people to thank for that but I I just thank generally the fund for Kate may all the donors and volunteers they've done so much nice work with with that group so thank you um two two good ones I I wanted to thank Deputy Mayor the Jazz Festival I heard so many great uh comments from that Kate may I think is like the busiest town in October and November every weekend I feel like I miss five things that are like big events um but uh the U I was at the hollow the hollowed half unfortunately I didn't run maybe next year we'll work on that uh but they really did a very nice job um the Halloween movie at Rotary Park on Friday I heard was very cute and great for the kids so thank you to Casey and and her whole staff and really um all of the September and October events that we've had at convention hall I've heard such good comments about so it's um again to the recreation department they had the three onree basketball tournament um Mack had the uh uh antique uh baseball um game which was in a tribute to the citizens of Kate May beating the Philadelphia Phillies one nothing back in the 1800s so that was pretty fun but anyway so many great events and but a lot of effort and time put into it so thank thank you to all of those folks involved um two two quick ones too is in regards to Atlantic City Electric um tough negotiators but we had elmire Street paved and um and Venice so that I saw the striping went down today thank you Paul and and Justin for working on that took a lot of effort I know probably a lot more than necessary uh and I and I want to thank Mr Meyer That Sidewalk is in and everything really just looks so much nicer on in that area so I took a lot of work um and also Justin um I got a complaint on yacht Avenue about the amount of uh gas lines that were going in on a relatively new Street um I took a picture of look like patch after patch after patch you contact the South Jersey Gas and this spring we'll have the brand new Street on on yacht Avenue paid for by South Jersey gas but uh only happened because of your work to get it done so thank you and thank you Paul very much with that I'll open it up for public comment anyone wishing to speak please come to the microphone state your name and address Mr rash I think that was a movement I was thank you very um a couple very small things sorry name and address please I'm sorry jul 1010 New York Avenue uh Paul you had mentioned in or Mr dri you had mentioned in one of the council meetings about a uh retaining wall along Cape Island Creek could could you could you elaborate on that a little bit or should I said the the parking lot on Bank Street yeah so I mentioned that earlier this this evening so yes we're we're appropriated in this Year's budget was to do some engineering and permitting for a flood resiliency wall um from Cape Island Creek along almyra Street come down almyra street go around the backside of the substation and then go to the back side of the bank street parking lot um that's where we see a as probably I'll say we have two areas that see that receive lo you know continuous localized flooding from I'll say the nuisance high tide you know full moon high tide storm events and and everybody knows yacht Avenue and Alm Bank Street are the two culprate locations I've we've recently completed as part of the um almyra improvements we also did some drainage improvements uh that the city did uh advance of the paving where we the the drainage system on almyra was not connected to the drainage system on Venice uh we interconnected those two so that we have a storm mot pump that pumped out the Venice side of it but most people thought well they saw the pumping out that but Al Myra Street was still flooded so now that that interconnection now the that storm modal pump will now pump out both Venice and bank but also will now pump out Elmyra uh as part of that drainage Improvement I also put a tide valve on the Elmyra Street there's an outfall that on the the in set of inlets that's closest to the bridge uh on Elmyra Street there's an outfall that goes out towards the creek well what happens is the water comes up up into the pipe and up into the inlet and then the street so as soon as the tide comes up it floods right away we put a tide FL on that outfall so now it it'll lessen the amount of flooding that Elmyra Street gets until the bank overruns so what this flood resilience wall will Elevate that area behind it so that it when the tide rise up it won't come over the bank it would have to go up and over a bulkhead which will put at a certain elevation that it won't flood so we will essense you know if that project moves forward it'll be removing one of the two nuisance areas that we have for nuisance flooding do you do youv Vision that uh retention wall going up to the uh miniature golf will it go that far not initially I think I think eventually it could go there but I think this initial uh phase is really just to look at resiliency on on the the more localized storms um because really to to make that effectuated you got to look at both sides of the creek and what does it do as you would go I'll say to the northern side of Elmyra you know so that's a that's a more broader bigger resiliency question that we have to tackle okay thank you um the the city enjoys a a bunch of recreation projects and I I did watch that uh half court basketball tournament uh which was really quite interesting some of those guys are actually pretty good yeah uh and then I noticed a flyer at city or convention hall that you're going to have a a program for uh uh field hockey uh Sky I forget what the name of it was Skyhawk Skyhawk but they they're coming here as a result of the city's promotion is that or or how do that come about are these private clubs so it's a private organization that comes in and runs a program on the city property and we get a cost share of those proceeds um I believe we had a soccer event about a week ago a little ago and I think we you know I think the check was about $680 maybe from you that's what the city saw as a revenue out of that with really no cost to the city and these projects are basically our GIF funding will will protect our liability yeah there's our Risk Management Consultant reviews those um proposals and the those vendors have sufficient uh Insurance to indemnify and cover the city yes uh that's great um one other comment about the the successful lawsuit or lawsuits that we've had recently um I had asked said something to the solicitor after the meeting last week about seeking uh restitution for our legal expenses I don't know frankly that process whether the C that's um has to be a petition to the court whether the court orders it what maybe you could expand on that I mean everyone would like to get their legal fees but the American rule as it's called is what governs most cases throughout the United States and certainly in the state and that's that each party pays for their own attorney's fees absent a statute or a contract provision providing for some sort of fee shifting I can tell you that that's something that myself and any of the attorneys various attorneys that handle matters for the city that I coordinate with we're always going to look for an opportunity to recover fees if it's available but usually like I said it's in those rare cases is where there's a statutory provision or a contract provision that provides for them if they're there we will look for them but in some of the cases that you're probably referencing um you know it it it may not be the type of thing that will be available to the city I wouldn't rule it out though Mr I just like it would be nice to see the city get hold that's all well I I that's why I say I will never rule it out um and there's always a request for them um but it it's you know that's the general principles that apply uh my last comment here is is uh on behalf of the taxpayers association we're vitally interested in the actual and planned city uh capital projects and the projected cost of each going forward it's estimated that we Pro have approximately 20 individual projects now in various phases um and the TPA believes it's uh uh these are essential projects we're not questioning at all the the the projects we're questioning the actual costs uh the amounts of financing and the types of financing so that we can see a complete Financial picture of all these projects uh I was a standard sitting down and looking at at how many things we have going on it's it's for a town less than 3,000 I mean this is a significant amount of work uh I guess I don't have to tell tell you that yes but I don't think we're a town of 3 thou yes we have 3,000 permanent residents that that I'll say reside here 12 months a year but you got to look at oh 50,000 you know I mean we're we're we're a city of much larger than a city of 3,000 so I think when you look at the projects they're commensurate with the city of a larger population oh I uh I think you do a great job um I think if I could just I think it'd be and I know Paul usually attends a lot of the taxpayers association meetings but perhaps we could have Kevin and Paul go together on all active uh projects and and do a little presentation on that yeah I think it would be important uh to break it down for what the project is and the funding source because there's a lot of the the projects are funding source is Grants or de or you know or femur or other sources and I think sometimes and you know I was actually um having a conversation about this recently that gets lost in the translation so what we're sometimes talk about is the total cost of a project um but some of that is not necessarily all funded by the city we receed funding from other sources so I think it would be good to have that Illustrated um you know as a summary document to really and have it on the website because it does get lost sort of when you're looking at those details but if there was an executive summary that listed the 20 some projects and what the funding sour was how much was received by the city for through Grant or other means and how much actually was being capitalized by the city yeah we think we think that that kind of information would really be valuable for the public and actually for the active projects that information is on the website both the uh the total constructed costs and and projects that we have grant funding committed for that's all presented on the website on the construction project page so Mr Dietrich not to put you on the spot but I will what's the percentage of the projects that are funded um by via Grant or other means as opposed to um city funding well a lot of the grants are different percentage levels but you if you were just to say there's 20 projects and I'm making up a number $5 million and it's 80% is you know would you be able to probably 40% okay 30 to 40% I would say if if we probably looked at the total capital projects that we probably have 30 to 40 % grant funding because you look at some projects like you know we have planned Harbor View Park that's like a 90% funding we had the Ada you know projects they're 90% funding um so you know but then we have some projects that you know I mean the FEMA the the seawall project we're anticipating to have that I think that's almost 75% federally funded um but you know obviously some other projects you know that aren't at that level L you know so we had some road projects like the 2023 Road Project you know it was $2.1 Million I think we had maybe $300,000 of that 2.1 in do grant funding uh you're probably going to see the next round of capital projects that we're going to put out uh if you recall last it was last meeting you know we had authorization for DeBlasio to submit for um ibank uh funding you we're looking to get you know 80% potential funding on you know the water sewer and storm water infrastructure costs associated with that including the design costs on those projects so so so there's a lot of you know I think to to council member mcdade's point I think 30 40% is probably a a good estimate when you when you aggregate them all together that we're getting money on it would really be nice to have that that kind all that information into into one little package that could be looked at by both council members and and the city and we would be happy to to put that on our website to thousand members uh which would further put the information out of of what is being done what our taxpayer has to pay and what the grants are I think that all that would be very positive we can work on that thank you very much thank you anyone else uh public comment Ros I'm sorry thank you uh I think it's great how we have swept up the money that you said from the capital projects um and that we're going to reappropriate this money my question is um how do you determine which projects um get this extra money is it like equally divided or is it like I mean how do you determine that it's based on the Project's needs yeah as needed basis I would say say that as needed basis I would say as we need the funds we okay we sweep them into that account we specify which projects they can be used for and then as the projects as we realize the costs we sort of appropriate the funds there and is there a time limit to that is there a time limit as to when you have to use this money no no no oh okay all right great and um I too want to thank Mr Dietrich for that presentation on the um the flood insurance it was really eye openening and um just very informative and that the gentleman from the county was was was really great yeah and we did put so I guess I've had I should have brought that up in my previous comments um the both presentations that the gentleman made are on the city's website it's under the Flood information yeah page and we also put up a uh a sample letter that could be sent up to both the governor and the public comment period which is extended through through November 7th so you know feel free to reach out to our website and grab that public information if you want to make a public comment yes um I did I have written so I'm um but I think this is a good example this was a good example of how when you actually speak to the residents um I I thoroughly agree putting things on the website is wonderful but there is something to say with a face to face um presentation I think it makes the whatever issue it is it makes it um it it brings it up to the Forefront and it makes you think about it more and when you see people's uh it's nice to see other people's questions about things because it helps you you know possibly re-evaluate your situation so I think there is a lot to say about um a presentation such as yours so I thank you and um I would encourage us to have you know presentations like this possibly in the future about things thank you thank you RZ anyone else um oh Paul go ahead if I could I apologize um I had to go back up and uh get some papers that I thought I had with me can I just officially close public comment is I just want to make sure nobody else wanted to speak no we'll close public comment sorry Paul go ahead sure about 2 months ago um at our city department head meeting um I kind of put a challenge out to our various departments um considering this is you know we we have City Hall in an old school I I thought it was appropriate to bring some school time back into uh the the building and so if you've visited city hall over the last couple weeks you've noticed uh a little decorations going along the doors and if you haven't um been by City Hall please stop by city hall and uh take a look at you know we challenged and and and each department uh did a door decorating for the uh Halloween season and uh we had some celebrity judges do some judging over the last two days and we uh tallied up the last bit of uh judging today and um the the obviously the winner gets epic bragging rights uh with all the rest of the city departments as well as um some lovely parting gifts from the city manager um so uh it was really I think that the Departments went all out and and making some presentations and we had some great doors and the uh the ultimate winner was uh the police department with their their door right behind me if if and they kind of the judges were told the judge only on the door but they if you've if you've ever visited the police department it's kind of they have like the little Corridor Hall area down there and they decorated the entire area in a Wizard of Oz theme uh so it it kind of incorporates everybody and there's a little tornado and kind of all of Kate May is whipped up in the tornado including our illustrious mayor uh is uh being taken up into the tornado um apparently I was in there at one point but I was removed because one of the conditions of the uh the rules of the game were so to speak that they they could not have any likeness of me on the doors so I was removed from the tornado but I I appreciate everybody that participated and I appreciate the people that came out and helped judge and you know just bring a little uh positive Enlightenment to our City City Hall very fun y there's some really cretive ones in there too yeah Amer and if I could so honorable mention well I'll give out two honorable mentions uh in second place was the clerk's office I'd like a recount thank you and in in third place was Public Works DPW so um those were our top three uh vote Getters uh in in the contest so good job to everybody thank that was fun Christmas time yeah um yes and and and we are going to elevate it because I I I I really forgot so there is a mayor's door so the mayor will be councel and there's also council chambers so if Council wants to partake in that they can they can get into uh the council chambers and and decorate council chambers store so uh the the rules for that will be going out uh later and um you know we'll we'll we'll get festive for the Christmas holidays as we get approached December thank you Paul um and I just forgot before we close um there is a dark skies event on November 8th at the uh Kate May Convention Hall 7 to 9:00 local astronomy groups free telescope viewings interactive activities great for all ages this is in partnership with dark sky New Jersey and the New Jersey aabon so it actually looks like it's going to be a really fun event I mean they're going to have a really nice telescope that you can really see some beautiful stars so November 8th 7 and N with that we'll yo Please Mr I just want to add that if you go to see the police department take your time there is so much to look at and is it's I mean there on the door itself is there so much intricate detail and uh it's very positive and one thing I wanted to mention um and I think it's important to mention uh there was a member of our community that was walking the beach and they saved a person's life in the ocean and uh they deserve a lot of credit I don't know if they want to be pointed out but you know this person as a community leader and and volunteer and uh a person that just took it upon themselves to save somebody it's it's incredible and uh it means a lot to all of us do you want to say that go ahead you can see it's a member okay we're not going to call her out but it's a member of the beach Safety Committee so that's a good indication but all right with that we motion to adjourn I'll make I'll make the I'll second all right thank you everyone have a wonderful evening thank you 547
