Part: 1

1
00:00:03.200 --> 00:00:43.950
Good afternoon. We'll call this, regular meeting, the Carroll ISD Board of Trustees to order on 05/18/2026 at 5PM. Our first agenda item is executive session. Therefore, we'll adjourn to executive session in accordance with Texas government code five five one dot zero seven one, five five one dot zero seven two, 551074, 551076, and 551-0821 at 5PM. Alright. Good evening, everyone. Thank you all for being here. We will call this meeting back to order at 6PM.

2
00:00:44.315 --> 00:01:30.440
Our first agenda item is the opening prayer, pledges of allegiance, and moment of silence. Will you all please rise? Heavenly father, we come before you tonight with grateful hearts, thankful for the opportunity to serve our community and the students entrusted to our care. We thank you for the teachers, staff, and substitutes we recognize this evening, those who give of themselves daily to educate, guide, and inspire. Bless them for their dedication, their patience, and their commitment to excellence. We celebrate our students in the many ways they shine in athletics,

3
00:01:30.900 --> 00:02:08.140
in the arts, and in their passions like our barbecue team. Thank you for the gifts and talents you have placed within each of them. May they continue to grow in confidence, character, and purpose. We are especially grateful for the generosity of our Carroll Education Foundation and their commitment to supporting our teachers. Bless their efforts in the spirit of giving that strengthens our district. Lord, grant us wisdom as we conduct the business of this meeting. Help us to lead with integrity, humility, and a focus on what's best for every student.

4
00:02:08.865 --> 00:02:59.110
Guide our decisions, our discussions and our actions so that they reflect alignment, respect and service. It's in Jesus Christ's name that we pray, amen. Mr. Pike. I'm in third grade. We are all students of Old Union Elementary, and we are excited to share a bit about Old Union and our school song with you this evening after we help lead the pledge of allegiance and moment of silence. Hi. My name is Adam, and I'm in fourth grade. Please stand and join me in the pledge of allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of The United States Of America,

5
00:02:59.730 --> 00:04:04.605
and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, Hi. My name is Ava Gordon. I am in third grade. Please remain standing as we honor the Texas flag. I pledge allegiance to the Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible. My name is Evan, and I'm in fourth grade. Please remain standing for a moment of silence. Thank you. You may be seated. My name's Ethan, and I am in third grade. When Old Union opened its doors in the fall of two thousand two, one of its first traditions created was our school song,

6
00:04:04.825 --> 00:04:41.530
written by our original music teacher, Angela MacArthur. For more than twenty years, this song has closed every kindergarten through fourth grade music program and has been part of the heart of our campus. Its words tell the story of who we are as a school community. As we walk through these halls, there's a one deep within. Those words capture what Old Union has always been: a place of belonging, caring teachers, meaningful friendships, and endless opportunities for children to grow. This song reminds us that though our time here together is just for a while,

7
00:04:41.830 --> 00:05:23.565
the times that we share will always bring smiles. And nowhere is that more evident than every spring when our graduating seniors return to walk these halls one last time proudly singing every word from memory. At Old Union, this is more than a school song. It is a tradition, a legacy, and a and a reminder that it and a reminder that old union gives us a great start. It was our honor to share this tradition with you today. You're welcome. You don't know how we did that. Yes.

8
00:05:23.565 --> 00:11:10.320
The Irishman come up, and they are gonna perform the Old Union song. Just one song for y'all, and then Old Union is done. This stuff's making her way in. It's a great song. That was great. Thank you, parents, for being here. And, that's our last, campus of the month, presentation until next fall. So we're excited to end on Old Union Elementary School. And, I forget the name of the student that memorized that whole speech. I asked him, how long it took him. He said a whole week. So You did a good job. It'd take me three weeks to figure that out. So you guys are welcome to stay,

9
00:11:11.055 --> 00:11:45.605
or you can leave. We have a riveting meeting, to go through tonight. And so we are going to start with our first recognition, and it's our Inspire Excellence Awards, Excellence Awards, always sponsored by EECU. They're so very generous to our district, and we appreciate them very much. So item number 4.2 is board recognition Inspire Excellence Teachers of the Month. Our first principal to present is doctor Davis. Good evening. It's hard to follow that. Yeah. Good evening, Board of Trustees, President Bryan and doctor Glenn.

10
00:11:46.385 --> 00:12:19.395
It is a true honor to recognize someone who has clearly lives out what it means to inspire excellence, miss Rachel Hensman. Miss Hensman is a kind teacher who leaves a lasting imprint not only in her students' academic growth, but on her their confidence, their character, and joy for learning. She leads with patience and kindness, but what truly sets her apart is the way she wholeheartedly invests in every child, both inside and outside of the classroom. She doesn't just teach her students, she celebrates them. Miss Hintzeman makes every child feel valued and important. And she doesn't stop there, she responds, encourages, and uplifts one student at a time,

11
00:12:19.395 --> 00:12:53.100
and her impact is deeply felt in the confidence her students carry. Beyond academics, she goes above and beyond to meet individual needs, researching strategies to support a left handed writer, meeting with families, offering thoughtful and personalized solutions. She builds a classroom where every child feels known. She listens and truly listens and creates opportunities for each to shine. What makes miss Henson extraordinary is the culture she creates. Her classroom feels like home, filled with joy, respect, encouragement, and connection. She teaches kindness and confidence. And perhaps one of the greatest testaments to her impact is her students don't just

12
00:12:53.180 --> 00:15:15.345
succeed in her classroom, they carry her influence with them. They light up when they speak about her and seek her out long after they've left her class. Miss Henson exemplifies excellence in every sense of the word. It is with great pride that we recognize miss Henson as truly deserving of the Inspire Excellence Award. Congratulations. Alright. Miss Lewis, you're up next. Good evening, Doctor. Glenn, President Bryan, and Board of Trustees. I love that the month of May gives me the opportunity to introduce Victoria Castillo as our Inspire Excellence Teacher of the Month. Fun fact, tomorrow Victoria will actually graduate from Texas A and M with her master's,

13
00:15:15.645 --> 00:15:57.880
and so her family is here to celebrate. So, I think it's pretty amazing that at the end of her very first year as a teacher, she is already being recognized for the passion, dedication, and heart that she pours into her classroom every single day. Victoria serves as one of our special education teachers in the structured learning classroom, and you may actually remember that she stood beside me earlier at one of the other board meetings. When I first met Victoria, I was immediately drawn to her passion, her excitement for students, and the seriousness in which she approached her role as an educator. One of the nomination letters described Victoria perfectly by saying that she is deeply dedicated

14
00:15:57.880 --> 00:16:35.765
to both the academic and emotional well-being of her students. What makes Victoria especially remarkable is that she understands education does not stop at the classroom door. She actively creates real world learning opportunities for her students through community based instruction experiences, helping students learn skills like grocery shopping, cooking, volunteering, and navigating the community with confidence and independence. Her students have volunteered at the South Lake Public Library, packed grocery bags for Metro Meals on Wheels, visited local community organizations, and participated in vocational opportunities that helped them build both skills and pride in themselves.

15
00:16:36.305 --> 00:17:09.540
She also goes above and beyond to create individualized opportunities for students to experience joy and belonging. One family shared a story about how Victoria coordinated with Mr. David Lowne to ensure their daughter could continue participating in jazz band during her senior year in a way that was inclusive, meaningful, and supportive. The story speaks volumes about who Victoria is as an educator. She looks for ways to say yes to students. She looks for ways to help students feel connected, valued, and successful. Her students absolutely adore her and honestly, so do we.

16
00:17:09.860 --> 00:17:45.440
She has built wonderful relationships with families, staff, and administration. Parents consistently mention her communication, responsiveness, and willingness to support her students far beyond the school day. I love collaborating with her and watching her continuously create a classroom that is a space of learning, love, and where students feel safe to take risks and to grow. That is extraordinary for any teacher, but especially someone just beginning their career. Victoria Castillo represents exactly why this award exists. She's changing lives, creating opportunities, and reminding all of us what excellence in education looks like.

17
00:17:45.580 --> 00:20:09.425
Please join me again in congratulating Victoria as our Inspire Excellence recipient. Alright. Next up is, item 4.3, and that's Inspire Excellence employee of the month. Mister Park. Good evening. Sorry. My remarks don't meet the length requirement, but, it's from the heart regardless. So I'd like to introduce Alicia Campbell, our purchasing manager, as May with the month of May's Inspire Excellence employee of the month. One of my big tenants in our financial services office is that we provide the utmost,

18
00:20:10.125 --> 00:20:44.995
and and best customer service to our campuses and our departments, you know, no matter what what task it is, AP or purchasing payroll, you know, to to support our teachers and our staff who who, you know, teach our students every day. And so, I think Alicia, you know, embodies that so well. I think at least three campuses I I visited this year, someone's come up and says, hey. Will you please just, you know, say say a thanks to, Alicia for helping me out with whatever? And so, you know, it's it's the last month of of this year,

19
00:20:45.235 --> 00:22:37.610
doing this, but, you know, she is truly deserving. And so that's why we're here in May to, award her with this Inspire Excellence Award. So Congratulations, miss Kennedy. Okay. Our next recognition is, item 4.4, which is Dragon Super Substitute of the Month. Mister Fike, you're up. Okay. After seeing Ethan memorize his speech, you'll be nervous coming up here. So, no, I'm thrilled to recognize Meredith Marshall tonight. Today, we're excited to recognize Old Union's super sub of the month, Meredith Marshall. Some sub substitutes fill in for a day, but Meredith has truly become a part of the Old Union family.

20
00:22:37.990 --> 00:23:12.060
For many years she's been someone we can count on, reliable, flexible, and always willing to step in where needed. This year she went above and beyond by taking on two long term sub assignments, Serving in first grade in the fall and kindergarten in spring with incredible dedication, patience and heart. What makes Meredith so special is that she simply doesn't just cover a class, she creates a classroom community. She builds genuine relationships with students, helps them feel safe, supported and loved, and our staff know that they can always count on her when coverage is needed. She is professional,

21
00:23:12.440 --> 00:24:45.010
adaptable, calm under pressure, and always brings a positive attitude. Meredith's servant heart and commitment to our students have made a tremendous impact on our campus, so please join me in congratulating and thanking Meredith Marshall on a well deserved Old Union Super Sub of the Month recognition. Alright. Our next agenda item is 4.5, and that is the Texas Girls Coaches Association Diving Athlete of the Year and we have members of the TGCA and their Executive Director, Mr. Sam Tipton. Mr. Tipton? Thank you. Appreciate the honor to be here tonight and present a very prestigious award from the

22
00:24:45.010 --> 00:25:27.410
Texas Girls Coaches Association. I have a special person with me tonight. You all all know him. He's, enjoying retirement, but I get him to go with me throughout the state. But this man, happened to be an educator. He happened to be a coach. He happened to be at one time a school board member, and then he became what they call the executive director of the University Interscholastic League for about thirty years. And I'm so honored that to help present this award tonight, I have doctor Charles Bright up. Thank you Charles for being here.

23
00:25:32.835 --> 00:26:15.200
This award that we will be presenting tonight, if you take all of the female swimmers in the State of Texas 4A, 5A, 6A under the UIL umbrella, our committee picks one individual to be awarded the Athlete of the Year in diving. And we're so honored tonight to bring before you who our committee has selected. A young lady, not the first time we've been to the School Board meeting in Southlake Carroll, you all win quite a few honors. That's a that's a great deal.

24
00:26:15.820 --> 00:28:30.698
But tonight, we're gonna look at Bella Sanovan. She is the Texas Girls Coaches Association twenty twenty five twenty twenty six Diving Athlete of the Year coached by Coach P. Congratulations. Okay. Our next agenda item is item 4.6, and that is the State Visual Arts Scholastic Event Competition, CISD art students. And our presenter is miss Lewis. Okay. Thank you for letting me join you again. I'm gonna go ahead and ask ask these students to come on forward.

25
00:28:30.761 --> 00:29:09.370
That way you can show your art. Okay, before we begin talking about our wonderful students, I do have the honor to be able to introduce some amazing teachers from our art program at CHS and CSHS. Those teachers are Emily Trammell, Summer Neiman, Jan Varzatini, and Pam Roanhaus. Additionally, I would like to personally say thank you to Ms. Trammell, Ms. Neiman, and Ms. Van Seis, who helped make our recent military symposium a memorable event for our community and surrounding

26
00:29:09.370 --> 00:29:49.685
areas. The beautiful florals were arranged by Mrs. Van Seis and her students, and the visual art pieces that lined the gallery and other areas were but done by her students in Mrs. Trammell and Mrs. Niman's class. So I wanted to make sure I took time to say thank you. Okay. Each year, visual arts students across Texas participate in the Visual Arts Scholastic Event, better known as VACE. Through this highly competitive process, student artwork is, adjusted at both the regional and state levels. This year, 20 artworks from Carroll ISD advance to the state based competition,

27
00:29:50.145 --> 00:30:22.845
an outstanding accomplishment that reflects the talent, dedication, and creativity of our students and our teachers. At the state event, student artwork is evaluated and may earn either a superior rating or the highest distinction awarded in the competition, the Gold Seal. This year, only 151 artworks across the entire state of Texas earned a Gold Seal Distinction. We are incredibly proud to share that Carol had a record breaking year with three Gold Seal recipients.

28
00:30:23.785 --> 00:31:30.670
Those recipients are, and when I call your name, if you'll step forward, sophomore Brooke Young. Sophomore Emily Lou. And senior Lauren McHugh. In addition to artistic competition, students also participated in workshops and scholarship opportunities throughout the event. Two Carroll students earned these highly selective scholarship awards. Freshman Grace Engelking. And Sophomore Lily Bella. We would also like to recognize two seniors, Lauren McHugh and Katie Shane, who qualified for and attended state VASE during all four years of their high school

29
00:31:30.670 --> 00:32:18.475
careers. That is an extraordinary accomplishment. Students compete in multiple competitions throughout the year. And for the first time ever, we also have a student who won a Congressional Award selected by our U. S. Representative, Beth Van Dyne. Emerson Vu holds this prestigious honor. The Congressional Art Competition is a nationwide bipartisan program sponsored annually by members of the U. S. House of Representatives and the Congressional Institute to recognize and encourage artistic talent among high school students across the country. Each congressional office hosts its own local competition for students in their district.

30
00:32:18.855 --> 00:33:03.985
In Texas' 24th Congressional District, the competition is open to the public, private, and homeschooled high school students residing in the district. A panel of judges selects one grand prize winner whose artwork will be displayed in the Canon Tunnel of The U. S. And Five local artists spent two hours deliberating at Gallery in Grapevine and chose Emerson's piece as this year's grand prize winner based on her technique and artistry. In June, her and her family will go to Washington, D. C. To visit Congresswoman Van Dyne's office,

31
00:33:04.205 --> 00:37:34.725
see her artwork hung in the Capitol Building, and attend the Congressional Art Competition celebration. And of course, none of these accomplishments happen by accident. The kind of teacher who inspires students to create at this level should also be celebrated. So once again, I'd like us to give a great round of applause to our art teachers at CHS and CSHS, as well as all of our other students in base who also qualified. Okay. Our last recognition of the night, is Carroll Senior High School barbecue team, state championship, grand champion. And, miss Goodman,

32
00:37:34.785 --> 00:38:19.950
mister Higgins are presenting tonight. Miss Goodman. Thank you, Board and Doctor. Glenn. We are here tonight to celebrate with you the success of our Dragon barbecue program and the major milestone that we have accomplished in our high school competitive barbecue circuit. We are highlighting our OG barbecue earning the State Grand Championship title, which is going to be that big blue one after we tied last year and brisket broke the tie and we were reserve champions, so we're glad to bring home that big blue one. I am also proud to recognize Until We Meet Again for their impressive fourteenth place

33
00:38:19.950 --> 00:39:01.925
finish and Overtime Barbecue for placing twenty third. And these were out of 98 teams at state competition. These accomplishments would reflect the strength of our program, that we began in 2021. And it takes a lot of rigor in our training, and the dedication is demonstrated by each one of these students standing here today. We want to also recognize that we have some great leadership and mentorship in our coaches, Ken Goodman. And this year, taking over is Breece Higgins and his wife, Melissa. As we continue to expand the programs,

34
00:39:01.925 --> 00:39:34.900
we are going to be working in collaboration with our culinary pathway going forward. And chef Anne, who is in our audience where did she go? She's behind me. Chef Anne is going to be an instrumental part of our future growth and our continued achievements for all of our students. We sincerely thank you as a board, Doctor. Glenn, President Bryant, the CHS and senior high staff, and of course our barbecue parents, for their continued support and recognition of our barbecue program. So our members with us today are going to be our very first four year

35
00:39:34.900 --> 00:42:28.410
Dragon Barbecue member and senior Chris Darnell in the green. We are representing Overtime Barbecue. Our two that are representing Until We Meet Again is going to be Marcus Wynne, Sr. And Kylie Christiansen, sophomore. And our OG barbecue team members, Preston Inouye, Sr, Kaden Robertson, Sr, Ryan Vu, Sr, Darien Kwai, Jr, and Cruz Paredes, sophomore. Thank you very much for this matter of recognition. Super proud of our barbecue teams. They fed us, ribs and chicken tonight. And so if we go into a,

36
00:42:28.730 --> 00:43:06.625
sleep coma, that's why during this meeting. So we appreciate you guys very much, and congratulations again for your state championship. Alright. We're gonna move on to item number five on the agenda. We're so thankful and appreciative of this group, the Carroll Education Foundation. I wanna bring up, the CEF board chair, Ms. Gunnerman, and the CEF executive director, Ms. Martin, to, tell us what the big reveal is. Right. Well, thank you, President Byron and Doctor. Glenn and board for having us here this evening. I am Andrea Gonerman. I'm the current board chair of the Carewell Education Foundation.

37
00:43:06.765 --> 00:43:43.010
And today, I'm joined by our executive director, Alex Martin, members of our Board of Directors, as well as some of our top donors. At CEF, it's no secret that we believe a great education begins and ends with great teachers. Funding teachers is the most impactful, tangible way we as a community can support not only our incredible educators, but our Dragon students as well. And it's our way to let the teachers that we currently have in place and those who are considering joining our district know how much the community loves and supports them and appreciates the investment they make in our children every day.

38
00:43:43.870 --> 00:44:20.765
From day one, our mission has been to support the district by funding teachers. While the how of that has changed over the last thirty years, our why has always remained the same. For the third year in a row, we are honored to be able to directly fund Dragon Teachers through an end of the year gift that will go directly to fund all classroom teachers, librarians, reading specialists, ESL, and SPED teachers through an end of the year cash teacher appreciation gift. That's not all CF has done this year. We've reinvested through teachers through things like scholarships.

39
00:44:21.305 --> 00:44:57.845
This last week, we awarded a total of $12,000 to nine amazing teachers, paraprofessionals, and CISD staff members who are pursuing further their education. Dollars 21,000 in cash awards honoring those who go above and beyond to inspire excellence daily as teachers of the year. Our surprise and delight program, teachers and paraprofessionals across the district have received gift cards, lunches, treats throughout the year, including a $50 spa gift card to all CISD staff members during teacher appreciation week. But the one that we are the most excited about and why we are all

40
00:44:57.845 --> 00:45:42.840
here tonight is the end of year teacher appreciation gift for all of our classroom teachers. It is my honor, on behalf of the CEF board of directors, and our incredible donors, to present the district with a check for $971,000.763 dollars and 96¢. Sorry. I get a little emotional because I'm so proud of the school and what they've done. That's alright. This amount represents a couple of things. The teacher of year cash awards, is included in this, as well as an $1,800

41
00:45:43.060 --> 00:50:31.335
end of year appreciation gift to all teacher full time teachers and 900 to our part time teachers, which is an increase of $200 over last year. Wow. Congratulations. In total this year, CEF has reinvested $1,056,000 directly into our Dragon teachers. This is our largest one year reinvestment in CEF's thirty year history and our first year breaking a $1,000,000 total reinvestment. We're excited to celebrate this moment with everyone tonight and we can't wait to see what next year brings. Congratulations. CF, thank you guys again.

42
00:50:31.335 --> 00:51:12.560
I know you guys worked hard year after year, day after day, and, we appreciate you and what you've been able to accomplish, and we certainly appreciate the generosity of our awesome community. So thank you very much. Okay. We're gonna move on to our next agenda item, which is item number six, and that is public comments. There's one speaker tonight, so we'll give that individual three minutes. Ms. Shelton, will you call the first and only speaker? Our speaker this evening is Mr. Tim Sheets. Good evening. Good evening. Is it on good evening? It's off. Good evening. Tough act to follow. Great.

43
00:51:13.260 --> 00:51:49.085
My name's Tim Schutz, resident of CISD. As we close out the final board meeting of this school year, I wanna thank Doctor. Glenn, the board, administrative staff, campus principals, especially our teachers for their hard work, dedication, and guiding our students every day. We all know education is not easy work, and we are fortunate to have so many people in CISD that truly care about our kids. I also wanna thank the school district for the CLASS program. It's given me an opportunity to see firsthand our district's actions and become an advocate

44
00:51:49.145 --> 00:52:26.155
for our community. It is clear CISD offers a wide range of opportunities that many districts simply cannot match. And I specifically wanna recognize the recent middle school theater production of Newsies Juniors. It was fantastic. The students were more than impressive and the staff involved should be very proud of what they did help our kids accomplish. Also, I like the senior pass. It was great. As you know, over the last twenty four months, I have heard you've heard from me many times about the importance of helping our students focus on learning,

45
00:52:26.215 --> 00:53:04.510
about the cons learning without the constant temptation of personal communication devices nearby. I wanna thank doctor Glenn, miss Lewis, miss Holiday for the time they recently gave me and spent with me to discuss improving the enforcement and increase determinants determinants to reduce violations in the next school year. I know it's not easy, but it is critical for learning, discipline, and student mental health. Additionally, I look forward to seeing CISD develop a clear AI policy that outlines expectations for

46
00:53:04.510 --> 00:53:40.025
everyone, students, faculty, and parents, so we can use the technology wisely while protecting academic integrity and student success. This week is also a week to celebrate, to congratulate our graduating seniors. Congratulations to the class of 2026. I'm sure everyone leaves leaving CISD proud in what they have accomplished and excited of what's coming next. I also look forward to a productive summer as the school district continues to strengthen our school student learning environment including AI policies,

47
00:53:40.485 --> 00:54:24.390
screen time, BOYD controls, and personal communication devices. Finally, my daughter graduates this Friday, and we are incredibly proud. I know I'm going to miss her coming home every day after school, even if she's never said, dad, what have you done with our phones at school? Thank you again for the service and everything you do for our students. Thank you, mister Schutz. Alright. Before we move on to our next agenda item, I was just informed that, Carol Dragon student Gabriel Norsini is in the audience. Will you please stand up,

48
00:54:24.390 --> 00:55:06.960
Gabriel? Gabriel earned his communications merit badge for Boy Scouts recently. Congratulations to you. Thank you Gabriel. Okay. Next item is item number seven which is consideration of possible action on our personnel report. Trustee Yeager. I move that the Board approve the personnel report as presented in executive session. Second. We have a motion and second. Any further discussion? All in favor? Motion carries seven to zero. Thank you, Trustee Yeager. And moving on to item number eight, which Is the president's report, 8.1. I know that some trustees have some committee reports to report out on.

49
00:55:06.960 --> 00:55:40.280
Trustee Yeager? Yep. I do. I'd like to thank mister Nickel. Mister Nickel is our faculty representative on on one of our transition teams that I am a member of. And many members of the community, if those folks in the community that were on this committee and also people that are in our teaching staff, I would just like to say we had great attendance in our recent meeting. Mr. Nichol, thank you so much. I found it to be a really productive first meeting, and we'll keep meeting until we work through all of the transition needs. And,

50
00:55:40.680 --> 00:56:15.235
I think as I said, we're off to a really good start. Thank you, Trustee Jaeger. Trustee Stacy? Sure. We had our first curriculum team, transition team meeting last week. And so thank you to miss Petty and her curriculum and instruction team that reminded us that they were volun told that they had to be there, which kept there. And we had so many community members, and staff on there as well. And so it was our introductory meeting, and then we really talked about, in each group what were the big things that we needed to tackle, the medium things that we needed to tackle, and maybe the small things that we needed to tackle.

51
00:56:15.235 --> 00:56:46.315
So I think we made some progress, and I'm looking forward to our next meeting, which is at the end of the month. Thank you, Trustee Stacy. Trustee Bottom? So we had our first special programs transition meeting, and this person said a great job laying out, you know, an initial vision that, you know, everybody's kind of going to be thinking about over the summer. I think one of the things that really stood out is we had so many principles there, principles that didn't necessarily have to be there but wanted to be there just to make sure that, you know, our population was taken care of. So I look forward to seeing what the committee comes up with. Awesome. Thank you,

52
00:56:46.315 --> 00:57:22.445
Trustee Bottom. Trustee Reese, do you have a report out, Trustee Lannon? No? Trustee Sexton? Okay. We will move on. Thank you, guys, for for being at those meetings. We will move on to my President's report. Good evening again, everyone. We have important news to share with our community regarding our pending case before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit involving the Department of Education. This case challenges the Biden administration's twenty twenty four revisions to Title IX, changes we believe exceed statutory authority and raise serious concerns related to fairness and due

53
00:57:22.445 --> 00:58:00.020
process. Title IX has long served as a cornerstone in protecting students from discrimination based on sex in educational programs and activities. Carroll ISD has maintained that the proposed redefinition of sex from XX and XY to include gender identity conflicts with district policy and current Texas law, laws designed to protect the rights and opportunities of our students, particularly our female students and athletes. Tonight, the Board will consider a stipulation of dismissal of the appeal before the Fifth Circuit.

54
00:58:00.560 --> 00:58:37.825
Approval would make the lower court's ruling final, invalidating the twenty twenty four Title IX regulations as applied in this case. This outcome represents a significant legal victory for Carroll ISD for the State of Texas, the entire nation, and for those committed to preserving the original intent of Title IX, which was to ensure women and girls had equal access to educational opportunities, expanded opportunities in athletics and extended protections in sex based discrimination

55
00:58:38.845 --> 00:59:16.965
like the prevention from boys accessing our daughters' bathrooms, locker rooms and competing on their athletic teams. Congratulations to this board and to Doctor. Glenn for your leadership on this issue. Thank you. Now as we close out the twenty twenty five-twenty twenty six school year, I'd like to highlight several key accomplishments from the past five years made possible by the leadership of this board and our superintendent. First, in academics. Despite decreasing enrollment over the last five years,

56
00:59:17.425 --> 00:59:55.860
our district produced 155 National Merit Scholars compared to 97 in the previous five years, a 60% increase demonstrating a sustained commitment to academic excellence and positioning Carolinas to be among the top performing districts in the nation. Student performance in reading and math ranks the highest in Tarrant County and amongst the highest in the state of Texas, reflecting the effectiveness of our teachers, curriculum and a culture that prioritizes student achievement.

57
00:59:57.600 --> 01:00:38.485
Every campus in Carroll ISD has earned an A rating from the Texas Education Agency, an indicator of consistent district wide excellence with no gaps in performance across our schools. We have won the UIL Lone Star Cup twice in the last four years, never finishing below third, and are on track to win again this year, bringing our total to 10 titles, the most of any six a school in Texas, reinforcing our tradition of excellence not only in academics but across athletics and extracurricular programs.

58
01:00:40.225 --> 01:01:21.500
Now in finance, we have balanced the budget every year while maintaining strong reserves in our fund balance, demonstrating disciplined financial management and long term fiscal responsibility. We have reduced the overall tax rate by 27% since 2021. This summer, we plan to be below the no new revenue tax rate for a third consecutive year and set the lowest school rate lowest tax rate, excuse me, in Tarrant County, delivering meaningful tax relief to our community while maintaining high quality educational outcomes.

59
01:01:23.320 --> 01:01:56.675
By August, we will have reduced bond debt by $236,000,000 approximately 50% from 2021, saving taxpayers of our community over $80,000,000 and are on track to be virtually debt free by 2031, a distinction unmatched amongst 6A districts in Texas placing Carroll ISD in a uniquely strong financial position for our future.

60
01:01:58.015 --> 01:02:35.160
Our community approved a VATRE this past November, allowing us to provide meaningful compensation increases, including a 2,000 stipend for teachers and staff, an important step in valuing and retaining the high quality educators who drive student success. Most notably, Moody's Investors Service awarded Carroll ISD its highest rating of AAA, reflecting exceptional financial strength and achievement reached by only a select number of districts statewide

61
01:02:36.260 --> 01:03:14.370
validating the Board's long term financial stewardship and credibility in the market. While strong financial stewardship is essential, our greatest investment will always be in our people and that investment is clearly paying dividends across our district. So moving on to personnel, We have achieved some of the highest teacher retention rates in North Texas and across the state, demonstrating a positive work environment where educators feel supported, valued, and committed to staying in Carroll ISD.

62
01:03:15.765 --> 01:03:54.175
Last year, we averaged 60 applicants, six oh, 60 applicants per open teaching position, allowing us to be highly selective and ensure we hire the best educators for our students. As of today, which is the last week of the school year, we have only three open teaching positions out of 186 positions across our five elementary school campuses, an extraordinary accomplishment that reflects both strong leadership at the campus level and a strong

63
01:03:54.175 --> 01:04:32.350
workplace culture. Collectively, these metrics speak volumes about the attractiveness of working in our district and reinforce that Carroll ISD is not only a destination for families but also for top tier educators. And most importantly, great teachers drive great outcomes. These personnel strengths are a direct reason why our students continue to achieve at the highest levels academically, athletically and in all areas of student success. Now my last category,

64
01:04:32.650 --> 01:05:08.690
safety and security. For the first time in district history, every campus passed the TEA Intruder Audit signifying that our safety protocols are not only in place but consistently executed across all of our campuses. Special recognition goes to principal Shatina Lewis at Carroll Senior High for passing three audits this year, marking the first time that campus that campus has ever passed an audit demonstrating her focus leadership and commitment to safety.

65
01:05:09.105 --> 01:05:43.745
Thank you, principal Lewis. And to principal Patrick Holiday at Carroll High School for successfully addressing prior deficiencies and passing this year's audit where that campus had failed the last two of three years. And thank you to our middle school, intermediate and elementary school principals who have successfully passed all of their TEA safety audits for the past three years. Because creating a secure learning environment remains one of our highest responsibilities.

66
01:05:46.685 --> 01:06:23.880
So while these highlights represent only a portion of our progress in the last five years, They reflect a consistent theme: strong leadership, disciplined execution, and a commitment to continuous improvement. At a time when many districts around the state are facing challenges, Carroll ISD continues to move forward and get stronger each year. A strong school district drives a strong community and our community is thriving as a

67
01:06:23.880 --> 01:07:02.240
result. Promises made. Promises kept. Thank you. Now we'll move on to our next agenda item, which is the superintendent's report. Doctor Glenn. Wow. Thank you, mister president. You didn't leave me much to talk about. That's, that's a remarkable report. And and when people ask why Carroll ISD is the number one school district in the state of Texas and one of the stop top public school districts in the nation, that's the list that you read them. As we close out another remarkable school year here in Carroll ISD and prepare Friday night to pop some fireworks and celebrate with our seniors and their families,

68
01:07:02.855 --> 01:07:36.695
I want to take a moment to reflect on the tremendous strides we have made together as a district. This year, our students and staff once again demonstrated what makes Carroll ISD exceptional. Academically, both our elementary and secondary campuses continue to perform well above state and national norms. These accomplishments are a direct reflection of the dedication of our teachers, administrators, support staff, students and the families who strive for excellence every single day. I also want to recognize this Board of Trustees for their leadership during a challenging

69
01:07:37.235 --> 01:08:11.675
financial environment for Texas Public Schools. As President Bryan outlined in his report, districts across Texas continue to face significant financial hurdles, many while experiencing enrollment declines. Despite those challenges, this Board has remained focused on protecting the student experience and investing in the people who make Carroll ISD special. This Board has also made strategic financial decisions that demonstrate strong stewardship of taxpayer resources.

70
01:08:12.430 --> 01:08:47.460
One example is the District's decision to utilize a retainer program with Jordan Law Firm. In the first month alone, the District normally would have accumulated more than $3,000 in billable legal fees, but under the retainer structure, those costs did not result in additional expenses to our taxpayers. Smart, proactive decisions like this matter and they add up over time to help better position our District for long term success. To our parents and community members, thank you for making Carroll ISD such a special place.

71
01:08:47.680 --> 01:09:22.800
Your support, partnership and belief in our schools continue to make a tremendous difference. And to our staff, thank you for another outstanding school year. Your commitment to our students and to one another is what drives the success that we celebrate tonight. We have much to be proud of and even more to look forward to. I was on campuses all day today and I can tell you there's a lot of good things happening and a lot of countdown going on. And just to keep part of the, the tradition of counting down,

72
01:09:23.105 --> 01:09:58.275
there's only eighty seven days to the star school. We're almost there. Hang in. Hang in. Thank you, guys. Go Dragons. Mr. President, that is your report for May. Thank you, Doctor. Glenn. Great report as always. We'll move on to the information portion of our meeting with item number ten, ten point one. It's child nutrition department report. Miss Dodge, you're up. Thank you for having me. Good evening, president Bryant, doctor Glenn, and board of trustees. Nice to see everybody. I'm doing a overview of our department, so I'll go through the first slide. We are structured as the director as myself,

73
01:09:58.735 --> 01:10:38.245
a secretary, and, a food service managers at all the sites. Right now, we are having actually 10. One manager's overseeing seeing two sites at the moment, and, we have about 34 food service workers with two open FTEs. Our favorite dragon lunches, our primary one is spaghetti day, of course. Everyone knows that. And, the next would be the penny and meatball day. So What happened to the orange chicken? I know. It's still a top contender. It's just the pasta day, we can't compete with. Yeah. And they also still are loving the breakfast for lunch.

74
01:10:39.000 --> 01:11:18.810
Of course, the classic chicken nugget day. We switched to popcorn chicken, which they're enjoying, so we're doing that. Cheeseburger day, of course, the infamous, orange chicken, and, of course, pizza every Friday. They seem to be still loving it. So here's some pictures that I'd like to share. We did a charcuterie bento box, and some kids enjoyed it, but I just always trying to offer different healthier options. So, we consistently offer a hummus box every day and yogurt bento boxes, so we always try to reach all the students. Our participation remains strong even though we've had a few decline enrollment.

75
01:11:18.950 --> 01:11:56.055
We are averaging about 21 to 2,200 plate lunches per day. That's about a third of the children every day eating lunch, so I'm really proud of that. And, year to date, it's almost up to now 350,000 plate lunches and a lot of extras. So kids still come back and or they while they're in line, actually, they ask for extras, so it's kinda fun. And we do plenty of a la carte, as you can see, over a million. So we are, very busy in the lunchroom. We still remain, challenged with some equipment repairs.

76
01:11:56.115 --> 01:12:31.595
So, our average age of equipment is about 18 years old, but, our equipment, whether our freezers go down or, you know, coolers and that kind of thing, we do have a nice reliable vendor that comes and helps us, but that is a challenge that we continue to go through. But the positive side is we do, every now and again, get to replace some of the old equipment with the new. So, Carroll Middle School just received a nice new oven, so we're very happy about that. And, the Doctor Pepper coolers are actually free because we use Doctor Pepper.

77
01:12:31.595 --> 01:13:05.680
So they're very nice, and they look beautiful in the line at the senior high. So those are our two new, equipment additions. And that's all I have for you today. Thank you, miss Dodge. As usual, great presentation. And we appreciate so much you and your staff. Y'all are doing an excellent job. Thank you. And you've only been here three years? I can't believe it's been five. Has it been five? I believe I got my five year pen. So Alright. Well, you keep you keep getting better, every single year. You and your staff, and we really appreciate what you're doing. Thank you. Just so the community knows, this your department is really the only self sustaining, department,

78
01:13:06.140 --> 01:13:40.220
in the school district, and you keep growing and growing and getting better and better. So Yeah. We appreciate that and know that you are working very hard, for our children and their nutrition. So thank you so much. I'll open it up for any questions that anybody has for miss Dodge. Being on the SHAC committee, Trustee Lennon and I have seen your presentation. We have a deeper dive. And I know we both hold you in such high regard, miss Dodge, because you work so hard to not only it's it's so important. We we kinda forget about it, but students need the energy. Yes. And when they have really good food that they like to eat,

79
01:13:40.220 --> 01:14:13.080
it's it's a better student for the day. And one of the best stories I think you told us was when when the students came with the credit card for student for the teacher and said, would you get me this? I mean, obviously, it's like your food is delicious. We love what you talked about, about even making some things by scratch. I know you said time constraints, you can't make more by scratch. But just the fact that you're innovating all the time, I just feel like we're we're probably, you know, the luckiest ISD in terms of child nutrition. I really thank you. Thank you so much.

80
01:14:13.080 --> 01:14:44.825
I so appreciate that. Yeah. And I know I know parents I know parents appreciate you. You really try trying to keep a watchful eye out toward healthy choices, healthy foods, fresh fruits, vegetables. I know protein shakes are a big deal at the senior high. And so, you know, thank you guys for for really making a a concentrated effort to make sure our kids are eating well. Thank you so much. That's what I wanted to say is, you know, just a little bit of some of the items that my kids won't eat at home, then they'll say, I ate all my cauliflower at school and, I eat lettuce today.

81
01:14:44.825 --> 01:15:20.585
So keep it odd because you're kinda expanding their horizons. So thank you much. Okay. Well, my kids have never said that. And the a la carte items are blowing my budget, but they love them. So thank you. Yeah. We appreciate Appreciate everything that you're doing. Thank you, miss Dodge. Appreciate you being here. Okay. Let's move on to item number 11, which is the discussion and action portion of our agenda. Item 11.1, which is to consider and take possible action to approve a stipulation of dismissal in Carroll Independent School District versus United States Department of Education and the United States Court

82
01:15:20.585 --> 01:15:55.800
of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. I'll introduce this, topic and then open it up for discussion and subsequent motion. I really want to reiterate a portion of what I talked about, earlier in my president's remarks, and that is tonight, the board will consider a stipulation of dismissal of the appeal before the Fifth Circuit. Approval would make the lower court's ruling final, invalidating the twenty twenty four Title IX regulations as applied in this case. This outcome represents a significant legal victory for Carroll ISD for the State of Texas,

83
01:16:00.280 --> 01:16:33.850
the title IX, which in part which is in part the protection of our daughters from boys accessing their bathrooms and locker rooms and competing on their athletic teams. We are also grateful for the representation provided by Alliance Defending Freedom in this case. Their willingness to stand with us reflects a deep commitment to defending constitutional principles. As a pro bono firm funded entirely through donations, their support underscores both their mission driven focus and the generosity of those who make

84
01:16:33.850 --> 01:17:13.335
their work possible. Thank you, ADF, for partnering with us. Okay, I'll open it up for discussion. I'd just like to say, Trustee Bryant or President Bryant, and those that were on the Board at the time, Trustee Lannon, and Ms. Stacy and Mr. Sexton, I'm so proud of all of your leadership. It took a lot of courage. For those of us if you've ever been in a federal courtroom, it can be a pretty intimidating place. And when you're suing your own government, it's a completely awkward existence for you that moment in time. But we did the right thing.

85
01:17:13.635 --> 01:17:51.520
And history shows is going to show that we did the right thing. And the fact that I presented down at the State Capitol this last year and I said as our lawmakers were considering a basically legislation, I said, the women, the young women and girls in Carroll ISD are protected going to the bathroom, sports teams, locker rooms. And the State of Texas is behind Carroll ISD. And I was it was great gratification that the State of Texas followed our lead

86
01:17:51.580 --> 01:18:26.790
and passed a law to make sure that now not just Carroll girls, students and women, but all students in every public school are now protected. And that is a great leadership of you, President Bryant and our Board. So thank you very much, you guys. It's an honor to serve with you. Yeah, it's a great team effort. Thank you, Trustee, Yeager. Any other comments from Board? Okay. Can I get a motion? I move that this Board approve the stipulation of dismissal as presented. Second. We have a motion to second. Any further discussion? All in favor? Motion carries seven-zero. All right. Let's move on to 11.2,

87
01:18:26.790 --> 01:19:10.115
which is consider approval of amendment to twenty twenty six twenty twenty seven transportation department compensation compensation plan. Mister Bennett. Good evening. My name is Jim Bennett. I'm the transportation director, and I wanted to, talk briefly about a amendment to the compensation package for the drivers and age for the twenty twenty six, twenty twenty seven school year. Last month, the district wide compensation package was approved, and it added thirty minutes to the downside guarantee of all drivers and aids. Again, I wanna say thank you for that because it makes us more competitive as compared

88
01:19:10.115 --> 01:19:47.050
to the surrounding districts who already had a larger downside guarantee. However, in in looking at it when we're trying to catch up in order to stay competitive, of course, you have to do it in increments. And so getting it up to four and a half hours, while that is a very positive thing for about sixty five, seventy percent of our drivers, some of our longer routes, especially with the, transportation office being all the way in the Southeast, the further North, the further West you go, some of the routes, the four and a half hours,

89
01:19:47.670 --> 01:20:34.825
it doesn't touch those drivers. And so I would recommend, in lieu of the thirty minutes increasing for all drivers and aids, $1 an hour, just so that we can guarantee we touch every driver. Who would that move our hourly rate to? Starting driver would be, 24. And Mr. Min, is that consistent, with some of our neighboring districts or districts around the state? Is that what they typically do when they address this situation? As far as the I'm sorry. I'm not Raising raising, hourly rate versus adding time to their day?

90
01:20:35.125 --> 01:21:10.250
Correct. Yes. Okay. Yes. Yes. Yes. Alright. And, have you talked to I'm soon you have. You talked to the employees, our bus drivers and, received their opinion on what the district is recommending? Absolutely. Yes. And it would it it it breaks down largely as you would expect and, you know, they just wanna make sure we're able to help everyone with this. So this is a, kind of a switch from our last meeting and that is in lieu of you said in lieu of, not addition two. So in lieu of, taking away the 30,

91
01:21:10.390 --> 01:21:45.820
getting it back to where it was prior to last Board meeting and adding to their hourly salary or hourly rate, sorry? That is correct, sir. Yes. Okay. All right. Question. So Mr. Bennett, we won't be doing an increase in hours. We'll be doing if we pass this an increase in the base salary. And I just calculated what you told us, dollars 1 on $23 or $24 is about 4% and I don't recall was the percentage that we gave other roles similar to that?

92
01:21:46.120 --> 01:22:24.085
It was 5%. Was it five percent? And I'm not doing your math, so you got me at a disadvantage, but we did 5%. Keep in mind, drivers last year were one of the few groups that were able to get a raise as well. Ideally, and I think this speaks to President Bryan's question, you know, it would be great if we could, up our minimum hours to, what, six hours? I know some districts do as much as six hours. I would love to do that. I think everyone on the Board would love to do that. Chase Park will tell you that if you do that you're going to have a deficit budget and it's going to be at this expense of teacher raises and things

93
01:22:24.085 --> 01:22:57.630
like that. So, the pie is only so big. I think it's a little disappointing. I know there was some misinformation maybe reported that we were gonna be able to do both, which caused a little grief Yes, sir. In this room in it as well. The one of the local community papers did, publish a story in which they said we were going to do both, and that caused a bit of chaos in the department. Yes. Yeah. So so from where from where we stand, what we wanna do, the prudent thing to do is try and continue to drive things up. And, and so for us, to be able to touch every driver, a dollar an hour does that. Is it enough?

94
01:22:57.630 --> 01:23:30.780
No. Absolutely not. You know, we want to be the highest paid for teachers, for paraprofessionals, for drivers, but you gotta start somewhere and hopefully as we move into the ninetieth session, we'll get some relief and recapture and we'll have the funds where we can get our drivers where we really want them to be, because they absolutely deserve more. But this plan allows every driver to get something whereas the previous plan left out about 30% of our drivers. I like it. I agree with it. I'm curious, would it go into effect now or retroactively? When would it go into effect?

95
01:23:30.780 --> 01:24:10.455
It goes into effect with the other raises for next year. Next budget cycle. Thank you. Okay. Any further discussion? I move that the Board approve as recommended the amendment for the transportation drivers wages as presented. Second. We have a motion and second. Any further discussion? No. No further discussion. All in favor? Motion carries seven-zero. Trustee Lane, you got ahead of me. Thank you, Mr. Bennett. Okay. Next up is item 11.3, consider approval of spring twenty twenty six acquisition of K-twelve instructional materials and elementary classroom

96
01:24:10.755 --> 01:24:47.670
library materials. Ms. Petty? Good evening, trustees, President Bryan, Doctor. Glenn. I am here tonight seeking approval for the the spring acquisition list. That includes all of our resources that we have, our books. It also includes our classroom libraries. So we have exceeded our thirty day limit. So we have received no feedback on any of the books, any concerns. So we are asking that we move forward and approve this. Ms. Patty, any discussion questions for Ms. Patty? I move that the Board approve the spring twenty twenty six acquisition of instructional materials

97
01:24:47.670 --> 01:25:23.580
and elementary classroom library materials as presented. Second. Question and a second, any further discussion? All in favor? Motion carries seven to zero. Thank you, Ms. Petty. Okay. Item number 11.4 is to consider off campus physical activity guidelines. Miss Souter. Good evening, President Bryan, trustees, and doctor Glenn. I'm here tonight, to request the approval of the $25.26 off campus fee packet and the $26.27 off campus fee packet as well as, a vendor application form. So that's, new to this year.

98
01:25:27.275 --> 01:26:04.385
So the difference like, I'm just gonna point out just two differences. We, we have the application for the vendors. We changed some language, stronger language in there for parent selected provider because these are selected by our parents. And then we also added, that Carroll ISD, does not select the providers, does not endorse them or vet them. The packet also encourages parents to vet their providers as well as do background checks on them. So those are the two the main big changes in the in the packet for 2627 school year. Okay. Thank you, miss Souter. I'm assuming,

99
01:26:04.385 --> 01:26:40.720
Doctor. Glenn, that this additional language is gonna protect us further from Yeah. The good news is, in the packet we've always had language making it clear to parents that we offer physical education right here in Carroll ISD. But we offer the added bonus that if you want to do something outside, you absolutely can, with the caveat that it's impossible for the district to vet all the vendors. And I know just this year alone, I believe 43 different vendors were used by families. So those are parents that decide that they want to go to an outside source.

100
01:26:40.720 --> 01:27:17.620
Let's just take one and say, you know, I have a daughter who's a gymnast and I want her to compete at the Olympic level and so rather than do traditional PE here in Carroll ISD, I'm going to take her to a gym. And, that's fully acceptable and the state allows it. And I know when I go do that, whether it was this year, the year before, or five years, prior, that it's my responsibility to go and, and vet, that organization. What we want to do is really strengthen the language in our off campus PE application form to make sure that families really understand that in this day and age

101
01:27:17.920 --> 01:27:53.505
that the District is not going to take responsibility and can't take responsibility for all the staff and all the organizations that hire in multiple staff throughout the year for these parent approved providers. We are going to put language in there and also give a little guidance to families of where they can do criminal background checks should they choose to do so. But again, parents are choosing to do off campus PE and so the responsibility to make sure that they're vetted through criminal background checks will fall to the parent. That's not something that will fall to the ISD and simply can't because there's so

102
01:27:53.505 --> 01:28:27.125
many organizations with so many employees. But again, first and best choice is always do your PE and athletics right here, right? We have a lot of programs and that's what we want to encourage parents to do. But we we're we recognize that a lot of families have, a lot of needs that are outside of the scope of what we can provide. Thank you, Doctor. Glame. Masudar, you know, I people aren't gonna go searching our our Internet site, to find this policy. So does your department have a plan on how to get the word out to

103
01:28:27.125 --> 01:28:59.575
parents before our next, school year starts? Yes. So we'll contact, any of the parents that have currently already applied for the off campus fee program for the following school year, this next upcoming school year, as well as all the vendors. So we'll contact all the vendors and let them know they need to fill out the application and all that stuff. So, yes, we will. Okay. Thank you. And we did speak to to Barney Fudge at TEA. We need to act quickly and get on the the 25, '26, approval and then the '26, '27, approval. We're inside that window right now. So as soon as we get y'all's approval tonight,

104
01:28:59.575 --> 01:29:34.440
we'll be in contact with them tomorrow. Yes, sir. Are are we gonna have vendors, renew every year? That's gonna be something new. Correct? Yes. That'll be something new. Okay. Every year. Okay. Okay. Trustee Smith. Yeah. President Brown, I I wanted to say my own children have benefited from being able to use external coaches and I know lots and lots of families who do. I appreciate that our community brought to our attention maybe some holes in our current policy. We need to look at these policies every year and I especially appreciate Doctor. Glenn that we're giving families the opportunity,

105
01:29:34.980 --> 01:30:08.820
the information so that they can do background checks themselves and they can investigate who's coaching and teaching their children. So I appreciate us building that into this process. Thank you, Trustee Laymon. Any other comments? I just have a quick one and I thank the conversation here, thank you all for having it because when you dig into this, there is just no way that as you said, Doctor. Glenn, there's just no way that we can vet all these people that we don't they're not employees. And what's so key is they're not endorsed by us.

106
01:30:08.880 --> 01:30:41.905
We have no idea who you pick for golf or whatever endeavor. I like the fact that the state, you know, it's legal, that we support it. And thank you. This information is just gonna empower our parents to make good choices and, as you said, to do the background checks themselves because we can't do that. It's just too large. Yeah, that's a great point. Okay. That said, I move to approve this, this new plan as presented. Second. Motion and second. Any further discussion? All in favor? Motion carries seven to zero. Okay. Going to the last agenda item,

107
01:30:41.905 --> 01:31:15.765
which is our consent agenda. I know that we have several donations to announce. Trustee Yeager? Yes. As many of the people, if you tuned in earlier, it was a record night for our friends and the leadership, the tremendous leadership from the Carroll Education Foundation, which presented this Board and this district with the most generous check-in the amount of $971,763.96 So again, Carroll Education Foundation, well done and thank you so very much for that. Carroll Education Foundation, well done and thank you so very much for that amazing year.

108
01:31:15.765 --> 01:31:50.315
You put a lot of effort into it and we are so appreciative as well as our teachers. The next donation I have is from the Southlake Foundation and the generous amount of $4,190 We thank the Southlake Foundation for that. From the Carroll High School PTO, a generous donation of $24,762 And the Southlake Chamber of Commerce, an in kind donation of approximately $9,500 Thank you so much, Chamber of Commerce.

109
01:31:50.535 --> 01:32:22.135
I know we have a lot of them. I think I have one last one. And again, thank you to all of our community. This district is not great without all of the generosity that we receive from you and the countless hours of volunteerism that you give. And that is from the National Charity League, which has donated $11,900 and that in purpose of the CISD Special Olympics. Thank you so much, National Charity League. And that is our donations for this evening. Thank you, Trustee Yeager. I move to approve the consent agenda. Second. Motion is second.

110
01:32:22.135 --> 01:32:29.765
All in favor? Motion carries seven-zero. If no objection, we will adjourn this meeting at 07:32PM. Thank you, Board.
