Mr Marner yes Mr mcdermit yay thank you the January 6th Board of Health minutes were adopted unanimously by members present okay Health officers report Taylor so for retail food inspection on 1212 the cranberry convenience store was rided satisfactory for Pet Shop and kennel inspections on 1217 love your dog was rated conditional satisfactory for complaints on 1210 on South Main Street there was a high grass complaint where I had um performed an abatement check and on 1212 on Justin drive there was a health concerned with communal laundry facilities but after investigating there was no cause for action for me meetings and seminars we had the Board of Health meeting here on the 2nd and on December 13th I had an electronic inspection program training at the middle sex main office in Piscataway and on 1217 I had a plan review for Indo Pac which was approved would you mind if I ask what is electronic inspection program so right now we're actually doing everything on paper for our inspections so the reports and everything but we're going to a portal online so basically after the inspection the owner will sign on our tablet and it'll get emailed directly to them okay is that a Statewide initiative no so we're actually middle sex is one of the last counties that are not using the program so it's we're getting on board yes thank you great any other questions nope all right environmental report for environmental on December 19th they did two soil logs at 12 Hardley drive and it looks like that was it for environment right easy one any other questions no no okay let's go to Old business thank you thank you Taylor so on behalf of the board I am delighted first to thank our volunteers we had Dr madzy and Jerry from public works also with Kathy and Jean and myself at the ray Clinic um delighted to share theal thank you Taylor 35 total dogs were vaccinated oh wow breakdown here 33 had pre-registered 29 of them had attended and there were six walkup so I think it worked fairly well um a note for future volunteers including myself uh to be sure that we are properly indicated on the prescription and the validation certificate the years of vaccination first year of vaccination is only one year prevention if it is their second or more it's their three years of vaccination and to properly ensure that we have the right date and date of xpre and we'll work with whoever the volunteer is and if it's Dr mzy or another will do that uh a reminder the deadline to apply for our fall rabies clinic is going to be June 1st and in terms of update on animal licensing we have 341 dogs and 50 cats that are currently licensed late fees will begin on February 1st if spay and neutered the fee is $16 if not spayed and neutered the fee is $19 licenses not obtained by March 1st will receive the first offense violation summons from from the Board of Health with a fine of $50 and licenses not obtained by April 1st will receive a second offense violation Summit with the Board of Health and a mandatory court appearance with a fine of not less than $75 or more than $150 so it's important for everyone to make sure that they get the proper licenses in place and as a reminder these applications for both cat and dogs can be found at the Town Hall on the clerk's page of the website where you can itiz the new online payment option available through sdl any other old business um so I wasn't I wasn't able to make the the rabies clinic this time but um how did it go relatively smoothly and do you think Dr madzy is a candidate for continued work with the Board of Health or or or um is he was it a oneandone for Dr mancy yeah I'm sorry um it went well uh Dr mansey is professional and uh conducted himself as such uh all the people that had their dogs vaccinated were you know pleased um I did uh speak to Dr mancy about uh the possibility of being recognized as the township veterinarian and he initially agreed but asked you know what his responsibilities were so I um I am not familiar if there is a written description of what the uh the township fering is responsible for and I I would certainly want to pass that along to him and of course the other thing that comes to mind immediately is um since he would be recognized as the township venerian where is that town where is that recognition listed does he come under the Board of Health and and uh does it indicate that he is responsible for uh giving vacc vaccinations to the animals uh that I'm unfamiliar with and it would be wonderful to know that he also indicated that he would look at dates for the fall vaccination uh he seemed to um Express uh a preference uh initially for October so I said please look at the dates and let us know when you would be available yeah so Wes one thing I'd add is I do think the pre-registration worked very well I think and thank you to scout for having all those filled out ahead of time with a couple of the minor changes I think it made it very smooth we were able to accommodate the few walk-ups that we had both from the town and outside uh but I thought it worked very well I think the three volunteers worked fairly well in terms of of checking in handing off to the vet and then partnering right Kathy with the veterinarian as we did and Dr maby as Jean said he already agreed to do it again in terms of you future V yeah no that's terrific I'm glad um I'm glad it sounds like he's willing to help us out so okay any other questions for old business all right uh new business I don't see any new business here but I don't know if it's appropriate I do want to recognize Scout this is Scout's last Board of Health meeting with us oh oh I see Wes um so Scout's going to be moving on to become the clerk for North Hanover Township in Burlington County um Scout's been a devoted servant at cranberry since December of 2021 so I know we're going to miss you I'm certainly going to miss you and certainly the preparation support you've given us in the few months that I've been here in the Board of Health it's been fantastic so thank you Scout yeah thank you SC out thank you um any other new business don't think so I don't see anyone here from the public for any public comment so do I have a motion to adjourn I'll second that all those in favor I
