so can we note on the um Regular meeting minutes without the deadline for uh information to the bo to for prek and kindergarten Administration any other questions or comments on those particular items we'll be voting on approving those items with the noted amendments that we just made to so that's a roll call Mr Daner yes Mr M yes Mr VAR yes m l yes Mr ja Mr saor M Miss and Mr Hopkins are here Comm meon reports R beside High School I did mention to uh Mr Adams we'd like to have a person um potentially start coming from Riverside High School uh their meeting was last week so I know he said he was going to get on trying to to find somebody to do that I did not hear back being um signed but I assume hopefully by next month that we would have somebody as a community as our reporter from side ofoo PTO just a couple quick updates from the PTO um thank you everybody who signed up turned in your memberships if you haven't done so and you would like to still do so we will never turn a member away it is $5 for the year um um we stop sorry um for each clubs they're going really well right now we are doing grades three through five I believe the middle schoolers are next I'm not 100% sure Moren has done a fantastic job with doing that um and so far we've had some really positive feedback um from the kids so that's really good we're hoping to continue to make this a yearly thing um book fair went well thank you to everybody who volunteered their time came in for for their shifts help the little ones shop as always Wendy Flanigan holds it down runs it bing bang boom she's amazing um I we are still waiting on the official number I think we sold a little over $5,000 um we are looking to do another one in the spring probably somewhere around Easter break give or take um it's not definitive yet but we will definitely get notice out for that um thank you to everybody who came out for the Chick-fil-A dine and donate congratulations to miss batas class they had the most participation so they will be having an ice pot party on Friday um yes they're all very excited um room rips for each of the classrooms have been sent out uh they will be coordinating with your teachers for parties and events uh they are all getting prepped for the Halloween party games snacks things like that they will provide all of that um and work with your teacher uh we will be finalizing approved snacks and drinks by the end of this week with um the school just to make sure everything is good um now the one I told you I was going to talk about till nauseum the auction December 6th it's going to be held here at Pearson we are looking to host it in the gym tickets will go on sale starting in November I do have up here a pile of the auction letters um as well as the donation form on the back if you know a business a family member if you would like to make a donation monetary gift card basket anything like that please feel free to do so if you are going to a business or you yourself you can let them know it is tax deductible all of our tax information is on the letter um so they will be able to submit that as tax deductible for their business win-win for everybody um letters went home boxes are in each classroom each Home Room has different items I cannot tell you them off the top of my head my kids were quizzing me this morning and I failed miserably so I need to take a look at that um we are doing a point system this year one point for an individual item which coordinates with the basket for The Home Room 10 points for a completed basket if you're doing a completed basket it does not have to be in with the theme of your child's class so if you're I 6w which is my daughter's home room she's crafting if she wants to put a basket together it doesn't have to be a crafting basket they still get the points for it um so again this is our Big Money Maker this is what gets everybody on field trips assemblies in the schools pays for the transportation things like that so the more money we raise the more we can do for the students during the air um so it is a big one again any type of donation uh or donation gift cards baskets anything we appreciate it um we will be sending out signup sheets as well um um any volunteers are always welcome our lovely teachers um will hopefully maybe definitely be our Runners again this year um our returning voluntold MC is in the house tonight she does not have a choice she will be back so um I think that is it um like I said uh once the break happens if you do have somebody uh we are looking for donations to be in by the Wednesday before Thanksgiving if it's a gift card or something like that we could probably take it the next week but back and things like that we would definitely there's some buckets out there for any canned food you want to donate to help these families out thank you so I was going to make mention again um you know we had obviously some families um within our community and at that range is much further than just the school uh in regards to that tragedy happened over there uh past the bend on Burlington Aven mult fs and and drops set up um thoughts and prayers are obviously with that family and anybody that can help we ask that you do help um with those families as they help to rebuild and get back a lot of it was um a lot of the sense of Mory that friendly in school he's also really friendly outside of school so I got to know Evan um from Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and one of the biggest things is not just being friendly to others in your troop but also your environment and taking care of the animals and um everything around you and Evan is so great at that I got the pleasure of having on lunch duty last year with him and he was always so kind to everyone that he sat with he was always so helpful I can't believe you're in middle school now I don't know what happened it makes us old I don't know how we did that but Evan please keep being you because you're a wonderful kid okay buddy all right thank [Applause] you actually you can give it to Ron because I'm just gonna have presentation um huh yeah we do guys we'll do a uh like a 3 to 4 minute break while everybody gets set up we are back in session now we so I just have to say I don't know how I can talk man Sharma over there goodness excc you might have this jot for the rest of the oh my okay so um I am doing a presentation for the njsla scores from 20123 2024 um eventually I would like to find out what happened last year um unfortunately I was not here last year so uh we will find this data and try and see if we can make a comparison between the two ronee I'm told that's going to happen at the next meeting is it we'll have you and Miss partment yes uh so Jen is going to be here at the next meeting um curriculum um so we have a lot of solutions that we have myself Ally and Jen have sat down and talked about um a couple things that have been implemented to try and assist with this so the njsla um it used to be called the park and in 2018 2019 they transitioned the name from Park to njsla and it test um Ela for grades 3-8 math for grades 3-8 and science uh only grades five and8 um of course high school as well but we we don't deal with high school so just looking at the English language arts um scores what I did when I created this spreadsheet um the numbers of parentheses is the number of students who were in that category the percentage of our school uh based upon the students who were in the category and then uh the state average now what I do have to say before all this information is talked about is when we look at this information we're just a small little unit when you look at it cuz the state for example uh for grade three you're looking at almost 40,000 kids for that percentage when you look at our school we have 43 kids one kid alone may drop the score either 3 or 4% or may raise the score at of 3 or 4% so when we're looking at our scores one child alone makes a difference so right now we're looking at grade three um anybody who met the needs of ela were actually 14% which was six kids out of 43 um in grade four 38 students took the assessment 13.2% which was five students of our school um were either level four or higher we did have one student who exceeded the expectation uh and you can see that one student is 2.6% so so when I'm talking about you keep moving students you're looking at a 2 1/2% increase compared to the state where that might be like 2/10 of a percent if one student doesn't do well um grade 5 33 students took it 12% passed uh so it's 36.4% um for grade six we have 40 students who took the assessment and the importance of why I'm saying how many students because when you look at math some of the numbers are going to fluctuate and it's because there may be a possibility that a the outted the student out of that assessment from then on it could have been that the student was absent um and then you see some students some numbers are increased that means maybe the students decide to take the test um on that day um grade six like I said 40 uh 40 students we had 20% pass which was eight students um in grade seven we had uh 2.9 sorry 23 1.2% eight students but we had one student meet or um exceed the expect ation so again you're looking at a 3% increase if another student were to pass so we're looking at 3% when it's small compared to the state who had 52,6 uh sth graders who took this assessment and 54% pass uh grade 8 49 students took the assessment uh 30.6% passed and again we did have one student exceed uh the expectation and that was 15 kids student uh total who um met or exce C the D score um as a principal as a former supervisor as a former assistant principal me personally what I would Target here and this is a discussion that we've been having in the curriculum meetings is that approaches number if you can increase some of those students over into the meets or exceeds those percentages of of more students passing will drastically increase because we're looking at an increase of anywhere from and2 to maybe 3 32% per student so that's where the target has to be to try and bring those students up as well as the others and and be not exceeding or partial but we call that middle level the bubble you know those are students who might have missed it by one point one question and now they're in approaching instead of it it meets or exceeds um so that was Ela oh I have a question question you may have one for M too so this is mathematics so as you can see um 43 students in in third grade took the assessment 20.9% of the students passed which was nine students we're looking at 38 for fourth grade that was 5.3 so it was only two students who passed in the fourth grade in fifth grade uh 34 students took the assessment n students passed 26.5% and as you can see the fifth grade was kind of consistent with their scores in ela and math that's another thing that you know we look at um grade 6 41 students took the assessment we had six students pass 14.6% in grade 7 35 students took the assessment and only two students um met or exceeded which was 5.7% and then in 8th grade we had 45 students and that was 15.6% which s students but if you're looking again like I said the numbers for the state the number of students for the state who took the assessment is drastic number you're looking in the 40s the 30,000 where we're only having a limited amount of kids per grade [Music] level and the last portion of the njsla scores is science so only grades 5 and 8 take this assessment 34 students took the Science assessment and fifth grade we have four students now if you notice in ela and math there's five categories in science there's only four so it's either you're Below near proficient or Advanced where in the ELA and math if we go back and slide you'll see it's not partial approaches meets and exceeds so here again 34 student took the assessment we had um four students who reached the level three of proficient or Advanced so that was 12.1% so if you do the math you're looking at 3% per student so as I said if any of the students else move up that number increases by 3% every time compared to the state where it's going to be minute the the increase uh grade 8 49 students took the assessment and we're looking at six students who passed with 12.2% and again the state average was 18.8% so um we see that it's a it's been a big struggle science across the state it's not just the Lano um that's one of the biggest issues that the state has been finding and I personally think it's just because they're trying to cram so much assessment in the other um subjects and here the wait to grade 5 and 8 where the students are being cred all the information are you going to remember all the information from let's say kindergarten to fifth grade that being tested you know so something to think about but this was the um presentation that I created for you and like I said Jen and I will work on the comparisons finding those numbers uh just to see what was last year's scores compared to this year and um we're going to make a change Ryan you have any question sure um so how are you supporting our students that are in that targeted group to progress up to meets Beyond approaching to get to meets now last I checked Mr P put in new type of curriculum or supported some specifically in ela I know we piloted it two years ago like half a year then we fully went into it last year what supports are there what supports do the board we need to help you with like it's you're and you're the captain of the ship so so um Jenna and I have had I didn't want to step on her Tes but I just say what we're doing um she's going to be here next month to answer these questions but we instituted iel for all four sub so you have for math Ela science and social studies which reinforces comprehension you have your math skills they have extra math not embedded for math um there's new curriculum the hmh program for ELA that's being embedded so whatever curriculum was in place before has been rebank and it's a new program that's being brought in to the school um as far as math I know they're doing uh I think it's M2 math and that progressively work on um they're going to have a person come in to assist the teachers there's a coach Le now with hmh where the teachers can reach out to a coach um from the the program company itself and it's like a 30min session with that coach and said their answer ask any questions that they need any responses that they need any help that they need it's all available through this coach um so there's more that Jen has been bringing in so we we we have a lot that has been being implemented as well as Frontline now um the teacher evaluation tool has switched so Jim can talk more about that because we're upgrading it to the Daniel 2022 model in I think you had a question just want to make sure I have give everybody again Mr Sant um for the the valid test scores what are the class sizes per GRE for each of these kids I mean is there as an example for fifth grade that you have up there is it our third grade you have up there is it 50 kids but 43 or valid there was makeups I mean District in a phenomenal job in sending out the makeup Fe So when you say valid test how many the classes take these and then why would they not beid so I don't have that information okay but these are the numbers that came from the actual state report so 43 was the number that was given to us of students who tested okay I was here last year so I can answer because I was the state I was uh school test coordinator so that all the students do take MJ MJ unless their parent opts them out however with Ela and math it's not scorable me there's not an answer then their test is then not scored so you might see the data skewed at that way because there are students who do it is a difficult it is a difficult test you do see students who log on who are frustrated from the beginning and decide that they wen't able to continue so they may not answer so some of the things aren't able to be scor because there is nothing actually there um so that's where makes me a little bit of difference also if there's a child who wasn't able the window that they give you for njsla is a c certain amount of time so if a student for some reason um misses a section and we work to try to get them to make it up and they are still not able to make up section then they are sport so you get is there a way to collect that data um so so on like our end for they interface next and then it's coded in there um I mean I can go back and look and see how it's relevant yeah I don't I mean I can go back I know I did not we didn't me personally last year we had no students opt out we had no we had no parent letters opt out um so we had everyone concern yeah we didn't have anybody all the students do approach and take this all the students do approach and take it and honestly from my perspective they try their very best sometimes it's just it's a it's a difficult assessment sha shaking her head she a test coordinator so she has that through before um I'm sure know that their child comes to but um so you might see that the data is that way where they didn't were able to uh finish a section or um they just didn't they just decided not thank you so this I'm going I don't know if this is an ignorant question or not but using the example under um English language Parts grade three exceeds level 0% yes okay so that means that nobody so the scores where it goes where you see where it says like me so it that means that nobody in third gr exceeded what the state what what they needed to um like the state state New Jersey has their own I guess formula so that in another so she so if there's nobody the other children would they would either be at meets not at Feats partially met not yet so so here here's something to answer your question as well if you look at 8th grade there's 45 students who took math but when you look at Ela there were 49 students who took Ela so that could be kid solware problem didn't want to answer it too much wording you know things like that nature so therefore that unv violates the assessin that's where those numbers may be coming from also sorry really quickly anyone who is an English language learner who enters the country after June year does is is exempt from taking njsla just Ela they do still have to take math so if you think about so we have students who do enter the United States um if they enter the United States technically before June 1st although this may be their first school and they do not know the language very well they still the state of New Jersey still would like them to test njs Lang so when you see there is a breakdown about subgroups you will see that some students um it's difficult because the test is in English um they are given students are given accommodations but um they are not given the test in their native language so so um so any student so after Jun first any student who enters the United States will be um would be exempt from taking it this year but um but next year it's the stat even though all the data says that you don't learn a language until like and 12 years they still would like you to take that this also goes for students just so everyone know also goes for students who are on homebound instruction bedside in a hospital as well as maybe because we have had that um situation with had students who have been ill um and have still had to than very much um and and like I was saying with the approaches is the same with me be a kid missed one question and but you know under the state guidelines when youed they the corre correct this is always the hardest part of every year when you look at the data just you know because it it it wakes you up as to what changes need to be made I know one of the things that I do want to talk to the staff our next faulty meeting is to start instituting questions questions instru see it the less fear have when it's time to take you're welcome I wanted to make sure Mr Santiago had um at the beginning of what the superintendent report would be to do that before we did public comment on agenda so at this time we are going to open the meeting up for public comment on agenda items only Mr F just on the topic of that still um obviously our numbers are abisal they have been for a number of years and I Fai that we're working on curriculum I think one thing to note if you look at the column on the right State average the state is a bus when you have less or in most grades less than half of the student population passing or um meeting the expectations in the state what's it say about the curriculum and the tests in the state not just so much l yet New Jersey ranks consistently high in the country when it comes down to the education as far as like the rest of the states go so um kind of goes to show right um that there's a story all the numbers data can look one certain way but there's definitely a story behind every that so was it thank you this is luga Kayla luga 3 time Walter um when do parents get their individual child's reports I believe now is presented it can go out right M they've already been mailed out okay perfect they were mailed out yesterday our lovely Mrs teal mailed them out so they will be going personally mail get shout out thank you m yeah I have one more um are we changing the science curriculum are we bringing in a stem program at all I mean I know the entire curriculum was changed it was the you know that's what m mcpartland came in and wrote for us that that was going to be a big um discussion with the qack review as well because that was something that it didn't get updated for many years it's something that we're we're happy that we were able to bring in somebody to do that I know this year there's a lot of professional development ongoing professional development on that curriculum to help the help our staff um I'm really excited about that it's long it's long overdue I just I've heard Ela change of curriculum and math I haven't heard anything on the science end so I just want to make sure that cuz science is a future which just science was included in the curriculum I kind know correct speak to that Dr Fitz unfortunately isn't here tonight right so otherwise I turn some of that over to him as well miss miss MC Partland has been very busy doing a lot of curriculum work I will tell you that one more Mr Bart again K made my mind f for a second with the letters that are going out with the individual student scores so now that you know the district has the individual students scores you know originally with the park the whole thing was they weren't getting the results the district wasn't getting the results to maybe April May June of the following year when have three4 of the year has gone by already now with the individual results are is the curriculum going to be geed to let's just say the students in that level one are they going to get additional instruction based on that well I'm sure that the data drives instruction right I mean that that's the whole part of benchmarking and being able to look back at where students are missing and and not grasping certain Concepts to be able to retach and bring those students back up to part so that's something that the administration is definitely working on and I see head nodding in the back as I say we have we do use multiple measures when student for for the bogram this year um because obviously we have a lot of students who struggle in very limited we don't have very have limited resources when it comes to basic skills there's been a lot of more class interventions that especially with the H and program there's a lot more when it comes to just a lot more resources that the teachers are able to use but they are J MC she'll talk about it but um we would like to Target the students who are struggling both with they take Benchmark with h and then they ENT and and who are all sitting at this L will be tting and then the students that exed they would be targeting more more GI so we should be able to off that's the goal thank you Eric can I mention something yeah absolutely so so the goal uh Mr Barlett when you look at test data um CU that was a former director of curriculum when you look at test data you look at the whole then you start looking at all the components of that hole all the um categories that fall under the units the you know for example Expressions algebraic expressions things of that nature when you look at that and you look at the individual student now we have theel program right I can say okay you're strong in algebra but you're lacking in in Geometry so now I can focus on you sending you geometric uh you know units for you to work on where now your algebraic is still being targeted in the classroom but your geometry is being focused with that program so it's still hitting the skills that you need work on but it takes time for the teachers now to get their students individual reports go through each one and say okay Ramon is struggling with this sart is struggling with that you know and and Target all the kids and then you got to ship all this out through the program Ela Math Science Social Studies I get it will take time yep yeah so it's it's a it's a process you know um but I think we we're moving in the right direction with everything that we're putting in it's still better than the eight months it took for Park so I'm done look I want to make sure I give you a time thank you this is lug um is there a plan to put in some type of tutoring program I know I I advocated fly for the um tutoring Grant last year and then we did have a a some kind of program for a very short time last year and then that was discontinued I feel a tuning program would benefit is there a plan to there was a discussion a discussion had um my thought um local colleges some of the kids would you know may want to come in in tutor the kids here you know which I would love to have that um so I don't have an issue with having tutoring but now it's just a matter of putting a schedule together finding out who's available what kids really want to do it who has what semester available to come you know so it's a process as well but I would love to have that because the kids can benefit from it yeah my daughter benefited and then they had to stop so that's why if you remember correctly even that other Grant I believe that was happening last year um that was for external companies and even that money for the districts that applied for starting as well so um we didn't apply for it at the time if I remember correctly when Joe was here it was because we wanted our staff members to be able to do that we were utilizing the co money for that we were trying to support our staff members with that and that's where that program was at the time I believe the drag yeah it just every fall we sit here and you know we see these same scores and we don't really make changed and I'm glad that we actually have the curriculum person here to do that and there's personal Vel professional development and everything so I'm cautiously optimistic I just think a tutoring type of program would benefit all the kids even if it's on like a rotating schedule so everybody can benefit from it if they again step one was getting that curriculum written getting an Implement starting that work it was obviously leading school year last year as how it was done started to be implemented I'm sure there were trials and everything like that leading into this year so there's there a lot of work that was done leading into this year um by the current Administration remember this current Administration came in in October this year we've been here for so there's you know we're in a better place there's still a significant amount of work to and we acknowledge that and I think everybody ackn yeah we're here to do that I appreciate it has something changed um since last year this year with the use of U I'd say volunteers because wey community members that be retired with a teacher certification and then list our Dr Fitz found out that it was actually to violate the teacher contract so is that changed well the teacher's contract hasn't changed we would have had to have a sidebar agreement that hasn't happened so I don't think that's going like that that's not really on the table right but it is when you mentioned um college students is it that that would be something for administration to look at as far as say I'd imagine if they going to go in a different direction other than our staff for tutors that they would have to fect that with the staff with their un representation with that contract and ensure that everything is followed to yeah so I I would you obviously the stuff that Ron mentioned is in an infancy stage as far as like being talked about so I think that's something we can definitely Mark to follow up on but that's something that we do have to defer to Administration to get the ball rolling on and make sure that they got their eyes with it because we certainly don't want to be in violation of the contract we respect and deeply care for our staff if you know there's ways to have them inv we want so that's way I just want to make sure is there any other public comment on agenda items okay seeing none I going to the public comment on agenda items uh the superintendent report says Dr Fitz Dr Fitz unfortunately is not here tonight um there are principal reports submitted by Mr Santiago and Mrs KY on your drives you can see the student enrollment and this is a sub that Dr pit usually goes over student enrollment as of October 11th which was last week K to 5 is 253 students 6 to 8 is 112 12 students out of District prek to 8 would be 5 9 and 12 uh would be eight total enrollment of 378 students there's fire and emergency drills listed here uh for the month of September the discussion topics that Dr Fitz would have discussed here tonight State Testing results that Mr Santiago presented to us preschool updates Miss U Miss bash yeah just to uh let the board know that we meeting with neighboring districts to see if you're interested in joining in a preschool program and I know that STS are ongo ongoing so it's something that we're uh we're excited to kind of continue hearing uh roof the roof referend referendum if I can speak correctly tonight again like to thank all of the board members that have been up and about at the community events really pushing the information handing out the Flyers pushing people to the website uh information is there information was presented back to school m a website is up there with the tax calculator uh roof and HB repairs are obviously ongoing there is a website update they are Contracting with educational networks to Begin work on a new website they contracted uh contacted several vendors a couple to do demos between Ed Leo and educational networks and bed on the prices and the portfolio that was presented to the administration they selected to move forward educational networks I know the website has been a big topic of discussion amongst board members and amongst the public as far as updating that making sure that it it is ADA Compliant the website's going to meet that ada8 compliance a professional photographer is going to come out visit the schools take pictures take drone video with the students uh to be able to be featured on that website and that all comes with everything that we're doing uh teachers are going to be able to build their own Pages they're going to have access to training and support with that so every teacher will have their own website that they can put stuff out on I know most everybody has their Google classrooms or their Dojo already but it's just another tool that they can use and have at their disposal for continued communication with their classroom communities there's going to be enhanced communication with that website VI have Mayors um calendars news announcements it does include a free mobile app um the website's going to take 6 to 12 weeks after approval for a designing and Publishing and the website is going to be able to be in multiple languages I know that I started researching districts that had educational networks um there's a translation button in the top Corner that they're able to translate the plan text on those websites to multiple languages so um that is what Dr Fitz would have discussed tonight and on his uh resolutions here I'd like a motion to approve under the superintendent report resolutions items number 1 through 7 I need a motion second to be able to discuss it was moved by m schin second seconded by Mr C are there questions or comments on the resolutions yes okay when do I get to ask questions of the superintendent that would be an um if the numbers are correct and I know they are it's 11 11 children have been added to the rol since last month um and I believe that October 15th is still the count that's when your snapshots didn't funding um do you have any feedback on percent of of families that have build out the Fally funded red and free lunch program ter hand that she's just I know she's referring a few of them back to the parents for missing information but what is the deadline on that um 17 1 so tomorrow literally tomorrow but there was also two ever there's another caveat to it that you can automatically get put in that program throughout the year as well okay and that helps your numbers it's like an auto auto fill Joan was there any I just want to make sure you get okay are there any other questions or comments on the superintendent report sections I have a question about the contract with the educational Network company so um the cost for this contract that is for everything but I believe that goes under is that that's not under a superintendent report would that be under Budget Finance he was reporting on the uh on that they're going to propose that is that under our bill it doesn't you repeat the questione superintendent and had discussion topics and my question as far as the education am I too far ahead 4300 4300 that amount of money that covers everything long that's Ann it's annually and it's a threeyear um agreement I tell you that's that's similar to what we do in our district um it's a it's a lot more in our district because we have more schools and more websites to to have right um but it is an annual cost I I think it's it's cheaper the second year but I don't know if I have much yeah because they do yeah it's more expensive the first year because they do the on boarding training so that's all question thank you no problem although I do one more question so the number of students that Mr Santio on his principles report is not the same number of students that we have listed for student enrollment in the previous meeting you said that um the number of students differs based on out of District placement um new enrollment students dropping off we had a conversation a couple meetings that we were asking to list the number of students that we had in and out of district for grades K through 12 so that we would know how many students we had and what we were paying have better accounting and I just wanted to know those two numbers those numbers are very different what this nurses bu those are nurses visits yes so those were 112 students who went to the nurse in the month of October wouldn't be surprised yeah so that's nurses visits for the yeah that's Nur is that we have NES do but again that information frankly is in the confidential folder so I'm going to cut the conversation on that particular um topic but I will say that uh as students come back to school the snipples become more prominent drink of water yes water bottle you're correct that those two numbers are thank you any other questions or comments on the superintendent report okay this is a voice vote says Voice vote on nothing money no so Voice vote yep Voice vote all those in favor please signify by saying I I opposed abstain motion carries budget and finance a motion is requested to approve items 1 through 12 in the budget and finance section and then we can discuss moved by Mr dancer second second In by Mr bar questions or comments on the budget and finance section seeing and hearing no questions unless okay uh this is a roll call yes Mr dancer yes Mr yes Mr vargan yes M schin no no Mr Jess yes Mr Seer yes M Stone Mr Hopkins just for clarification Joan you vote no do you vote no on all 12 or is it just I didn't never question first time um um I'd have to go back which I will do okay I have to go back and look at my docents tell you so for this time it's just I can go back I I think for me it's it's a number 10 it's the um is the maintenance plan um I don't think it's enough and I think we' been D talking at it foring and if we don't have the money like we have to talk about this if that referendum doesn't pass all due respect budget's not going to cover the cost I don't believe oh and I haven't even started budgeting for next year I haven't even met with him thing that we just this is due October uh due in fact it's due November I think 1st and it's just a continuation of basic maintenance nothing Beyond uh the comprehensive is I know okay that it's it's basic so I'm going to say you vote no on number 10 but do you approve so okay so I'm going to make that not I'm going to have make that note that it's no on number 10 from this but in response let's just hope that that referendum passes because it is needed it's yeah the roof is bubbling now um okay operation and Facilities like a emotional approve items A and B on operation and Facilities move by Mr C seconded by m slon any questions or comments on operations and facil ities it's exhibit M which is a report monthly report on maintenance activities and just informational that lead testing was completed for the water on the school okay seeing none and hearing none at this time I like to do The Voice vote on that so all those in favor signify by saying I I opposed abstain motion carries uh board leaon reports Riverside like I reported in the beginning I I asked Mr Adams as far as getting a representative here so he's going to continue uh to work on that and I hope that next month we have somebody here to present on behalf of Riverson talking BCIT we talked about adding BCIT that's correct I reach out to um um I know Joe vudo who's the president the principal over at BC West and see if he can get um nom out there and see if he can talk to somebody at as well do we have anybody goes in I know we have people who go to they have a discovery they do have Discovery depart is discover and rivers njsba and bcba mlyn wi set a report it's exhibit Q it's also fored uh in your inboxes very extensive report like to thank Joanne for that um any questions or comments on that particular exhibit okay Township committee okay go ahead okay um we have to I believe update uh The Spectator code of conduct policy and I believe um that's due pretty soon um also um there was the discussion to the elected bu and I believe our has an update on that um and um lots of discussion on they're really advocating the state level to start talking about budgets because they're clear that in all likelihood there's not going to be that 43% add it on so even though we don't have a number we did certainly last year so it's something for all us the update on we were uh awarded we were we were contacted that we would be getting full electric buses which we don't have a need for so we have uh we gu the state is they would allow us a 26 passenger and they did agree to that so we will be a 26 passenger Elric electric bus doing PL thing we have to put in a plugging in the charging station yes I'm sorry and uh Township committee Miss Stone sent an excellent uh report there as well as noted by Matt as well here uh in the audience thank you Miss for that report are there any questions or comments on that or anything you'd like to highlight on there thank you can I just make one correction Eric I if you say please please pretty C yes uh on item number one for the 401 Creek Road property um that residents came out and discuss that says that we're int to purchase the property for 2 million we don't have any price discussed whatsoever the 2 million is what the prev the current owner paid for it there has been no number discussing right I just want to make that clear so that's L thank you uh Personnel motion is requested to approve items a through I in the Personnel section moved by Mr dancer second seconded by m slon are there questions or comments on the Personnel section what was bivia H she was the social worker she's moving out State now what are the plans for that um I think they hired negotiation somebody right now I I do see there were um instructional leads items a through b on here um so I'm happy to see the AIDS are coming in uh to The District in addition to um you know a lunch Aid there and in addition to making another instructional Aid full-time so there's we're working on closing that G and I'm happy to see that especially is with a daughter class they need having very Mr SL I think you starting question on on number um I continue to be um I need to learn more full of speech um because there's bills that were paid at need um for speech so are all of the concerns that were brought up in our August or September meeting has that been addressed that we have services in place or are there still services that need to be put in place and this is one of them that will begin in November we were paying a um that was an external company yeah an an hourly grade to an external company this is hiring our own speech therapist so the external company will follow through until she starts yes okay and at that time the external company would not be part of offerings were and that monetary figure there is prated over the remainder of the time so that's that's not the full amount because she's starting later in this school and what is just for references what what is the correction of the 3500 to the 44 for the athletic director is that a contract issue that's that's in the DTA contract so it's a new contract no that's the one that we negotiated what last year so it's was just a mistake and this is the Cor thank you so much are there any other questions or concerns on the Personnel section before we okay uh seeing none this is a roll call Mr Jer yes Mr M yes Mr yes Mrs M yes Mr J yes Mr Seer yes m yes Mr Hopkins okay uh old business during the small break I forwarded out to all board members uhit committees Riverside score presentation um previous uh inter CSA evaluations and the proposal that was sent over from the township in the library for everybody to look at uh as far as that goes Dr pitz is obviously way he has said that early next week uh Joan and I is the uh committee there would meet with him he gets back he will call us to schedule that so that way we could go over that and uh kind of get back to the township on that so anybody else that has any old business to add to the agenda so I'm sorry the initial miss the board self evaluation I asked Darlene that would that has to be opened up with with the njsba say so I asked R to contact them and open that up that's not something I can personally do all right is there any new business stuff this time okay seeing none I'd like to open up the meeting for public comment on non-agenda items seeing everybody race up I will close the meeting for public comment on non-agenda items uh we had a link the executive session at the beginning I don't believe there's a reason for us to go into executive session at this time we do have future meetings uh that are going to be advertised our next regular meeting is on November 20th we will have advertised meetings on November 6th and November 13th which we going to be discussing uh the posting and sorry that to be discussing the posting and uh the verbiage of what we're going to put out there for the uh superintendent position uh that is going to have to be an executive obviously but we're going to all obviously be here so we're going to open up the meeting there's going to be legally a time for public comment and then we will go into executive session on the 6th and 13th to start that work and continue that work as necessarily on the 13th so I do want to announce that those are going to be out there in addition to the CH all right seeing no other reason to go into executive I'd like a motion to adjourn move by Miss schine seconded by Mr dancer all those in favor please signify by saying I I I opposed abstain motion carries thank you everybody have a great night
