I think given shifting um sentiments of various schoolboard members and superintendents over the years, it can't be overstated why documentation and intent mattered. While it didn't give rise to the desired goal, it did give the trustees an opportunity to meet, try to explore other options, and attempt to make peace with the outcome. There's a lot of talent. The kids are very talented in this township. So that has to come from the families. And based upon my interaction with the community, that's been confirmed during this school year. So, I wanted to just I typically do what I say I'm going to do. Um, it would be great because you're going to be celebrating your centennial. I I know I know there were some ideas for some events happening in the fall. We've um been dealing, as many people know, with the situation out at 2407 uh Burlington Avenue where a uh an operation started up in the fall of last year 52 00:14:12.320 --> 00:14:29.440 and and uh thank you. And uh we've sort of been dealing with them on multitude of levels including uh the land use board level. They had filed an application which was uh ultimately delayed multiple times. They attempted 53 00:14:29.440 --> 00:14:46.800 to delay it again at the last meeting and the board basically advised they needed to proceed or they would be subject to a dismissal without prejudice. They did not proceed and it was dismissed without prejudice as a result of that. and uh ongoing 54 00:14:46.800 --> 00:15:01.440 municipal court matters. There's now a construction board of appeal that they have filed uh because they're subject to extensive uh potential fines under the UCCC and construction code violations for occupying the site without prior 55 00:15:01.440 --> 00:15:19.199 approvals. They're also subject to board of health matters and and NJD violations due to spills that have occurred out at the site um in working on trucks on uh unpaved sections of the property. 56 00:15:19.199 --> 00:15:35.839 Uh in light of all that at the last meeting uh mid July, the governing body uh authorized and directed my office to prepare a verified complaint uh against the property owner and the tenant of the 57 00:15:35.839 --> 00:15:51.360 of the operation out there. And so this past Friday, we filed that action. It's a verified complaint with an order to show cause. Uh we don't have the order back yet, but it's I anticipate sometime this week we'll get an order back from the court 58 00:15:51.360 --> 00:16:06.880 setting a hearing date for hopefully sometime in this month, August, for the court to consider whether uh our relief, which we're requesting is basically they be removed from the site unless and until they go through the proper channels and get whatever 59 00:16:06.880 --> 00:16:21.600 approvals they need from us and any other outside agency to conduct their business out there. Um, that's really the long and short of it at this point. I'll be updating everybody as we go through the process. We want to be certain when we go in that we have a significant case. The the verified complaint in this instance is not based upon a week of occupation. So, we think we have a pretty good position before the court.
