the fiscal year 2025 tax factor and tax levy referred to the Council on 1022 2024 we hold discussion you have any questions one just one counc seat for councel Kilby yes hi everyone uh just a customary question I was asking most people ask is what's the recommendation of the administration so the administ I mean the admin you please for a moment say your name and what department you're thank you I'm just asking I usually ask a question administration's recommending I believe 1.75 correct yes that's what I thought okay just want to clarify for the record that's it thank you thank you councelor Council C2 Council DM yeah I just have one question um it's an unusual increase in New Growth for personal property uh this year can you explain why it's such a large amount uh basically um if you notice drive around town uh we have experienced the last two years tremendous growth from um fora gas and um from our electric company and and the zigging and the U road construction is all adding up they they putting in new lines making the um gas pipelines brand new or newer in our community and that brings in quite a bit of money and what happens and how we get get that money is we send out what's called every year a form of list and the form of list is sent to business owners and they tell us pretty much where the new items are what the new items are and they give us a Price Less depreciation and at some point in time if there's a problem with those values we come back as a board and um ask to sit down and hopefully we never get there to negotiations or we end up at the Appel tax board but um I can say this uh F gas and our electric company has been very very good to us so moving forward obviously um as the work is completed there'll be a decrease in that Revenue but this is just a very uh lucrative year right and and there's a there's a item out there called progress uh or Construction in progress and that's that's the big deal because they have to tell us even though a lot of times it's it's not done the work is not done yet they give us an idea of this Construction in progress for us in the future to look forward to so it gives you a Target date and almost a target number so to speak uh not so much a number but it gives us a date because uh the date is always as of end of uh December that's when by law we have to have it March 1st and that's when they give us this form of list and it's kind of like a a Roundup of uh what construction they have done in town for that period okay very good thank you with that I yield thank you coun any further motion carries and that would be to adopt both orders we have one that sets the factor at one the 175 shift which is 84.9 57 and then we have the second that sets the classes of real estate yes yes do
