administrative um 3B pulled from this evening 3B is going to be pulled there some numerical vales that are not correct so I'm pulling 3B thank you do we have any committee reports tonight Personnel um committee met on December 4th for the observation of the second round uh interviews for the assistant VA position and Dr PR um is bringing his recommendation to the board on the agenda thank you ble High School principal and vice principal met with the um curriculum committee earlier tonight um to start we relay some brief messages key messages from that meeting um unit lunch remains a key Focus for the team and they plan to visit high schools nearby high schools to observe and collect more data points they have met with key stakehold ERS over the last few weeks and we'll continue to do that um we'll continue to do so on January 2 22nd they plan to take all the feedbacks and data points that they gather up until that point and um to host a community information session so that we can extend the uh feedback it broughten the feedback loop and invite more community members to um to come in and and and and ask questions as well as for the team to present their findings um so we hope that they continue involv community members and we also suggest that there be some sort of measurable or develop some sort of measurable matrixes or for folks to understand the impact of this block scheduling um initiative thank you commit yeah I I don't have a mic on December 9th okay on December 9th uh the pr committee met to hear a presentation about block schedule and we also discussed it um very happy to report that forley police have hired a class another class three officer and have one more in the pipeline that hopefully will be approved before we come back to January but one is already said he's already working believe I think he he's not starting yet any day he should be starting but so hopefully by January well three CL three office like all from 10 years ago do any board members have questions or comments on tonight's agenda or any other topic I do have a question on G the schoolb playground yes Doug could you just get a little closer to the microphone can you hear me yes yeah just had a question on 3B on the school playground I know that we I'm sorry one one um on the school playground uh uh I know that we've discussed issue that school one playground um is is with this pretty much cover on concerns that parents have brought forward um at school number one um have a few questions um The Proposal says that it has a 30-day expiration date proposal was submitted back in late September so at this point are those prices still good yes great um and if we move forward with this what is the timeline with with this playground be ready for spring what look if it is if it is because we're using the same footprint um if we can use the same footprint and the ground and weather holds up we haven't have again then we should be a have ready spread so yes it will it will satisfy all the needs it will be up to code one of the things we do when we purchase is you know first thing we do is we look for a state approved vendor um if you don't so we always make sure we are up to code with everything so that's it So speaking of that another thing I had since have we worked with this company in the past actually sort of related to one B and G um I had inquired about this prior to the meeting but in general Dr pric can you talk about how does the district come up come to choose a vendor specifically you know in the case of one b& what is the process so the normal process for us to choose a vendor is first we always look for is a state approved vendor tly is part of a lot of Cooperative buying groups at data is one middle sex Hunton Regional um are we part of whiska which is a national I'm not sure we're part of whiska so there are uh buying cooperatives throughout the United States that we are part of if we purchase through a buying Consortium they are state approved we can just purchase whatever we want uh in including Staples as part and specific items would be in that Consortium um if it is not a state approved vendor we usually ask for three quotes that's the best practice that doesn't mean you have to choose the cheapest one you have to choose the one but you have to have your quotes so you know what you're comparing to once we choose a vendor and have a contract we traditionally submit it to the attorney for review to make sure that the company is vetted and making sure that there's no liability for us similar to an RFP request for proposal process and then we'll also ask for references uh who else has been using them for playgrounds who else uses whether it's a tutoring service or anything we always do all of those things to make sure that we're what we used them in the past so those are the three criteria one perly a state or a approved vendor through a contract Cooperative that we're part of two uh we check the contract with our attorney and then three we get um you know other school districts that have used and then references checks reference checks for them so thank you um so my only concern with that process is that a state approved vendor doesn't would bypass the quote comparison criteria so we don't need to check them in terms of pricing that's correct is there still like should we still consider getting a second quot just to make sure that we're getting an honest quote from this cender you can I mean in some cases you'll notice on the agenda also is a um fixing of the high school sign so we finally the high school sign will be fixed actually won't be fixed it will be replaced the um both vendors happened to be state approved that we ended up with quotes with one was out of Florida one was out of for got the other one where it was located but we ended up choosing one of the two both of which are state approved vendors two different cooperatives and you we'll find that multiple Cooperative multiple vendors can be on on different cooperatives so one from a pro Manda one from middle section Consortium that we're part of that's what we'll do and that's what we did with the High School sign that will be replaced any reason why we're not doing it here um there were other quotes that we had other companies that we've used that were both also state approved but this is the one we wanted with the same footprint with the maximum number of slides and everything else available to us okay thank you y and actually the PTA just does an FY the P school one PTA met with us we presented all of the options as well so they got to see um what we were looking at and hopefully they're cheering no thank you I think it's really important that even if it's a state approved contractor price check share responsibility using reasonable price year I just have a quick comment about 5B gos and District goals I know we had reviewed this in the past um I would just um want to ask if we would for district goals especially number two and number three will we have a measurable metrix to ensurance for example number two address the this proportionality of performance on standardized test among the district different Democrats what are we targeting here or will we put a specific metric so that we know we hit that metrix so we'll be starting to give updates now that the goals are approved and what we're doing to to create um that action plan to make sure we're addressing it and we'll give you updates regularly for the board of education at least monthly you should have some update of what we're doing okay fantastic I think if we can do that for two and three they they are definitely items that we can tie to some mat so all all district goals are getting get that action plan there is it actually a template that most districts use once action plans are approved and then I give updates you know it identifies who's responsible for what actions to take place I have one Kristen you could tell me anyone else I was not present at the last meeting I'm not able to print agendas um just tell me the resolution for the minutes that I need to abstain because I wasn't there I'm not good at switching screens trying to find it tonight one b one b thank you okay um may have a motion to open the floor to the public motion second motion morale second buyers Kang all in favor I any opposed or extensions okay we will hear first from members that are physically located here tonight then we will take questions and comments from those participating remotely you are limited to three minutes to make your statement for remote participants please select the raise hand button Mr rero will recognize each Community member in the order of raised Hands by lowering your hand please unmute your microphone and begin your comments please everyone limit yourself to three minutes and make sure you identify your name and address for the record anyone in the public tonight wish to speak come on up uh hello hi my name is Jack Robertson I am a junior at the high school and I am here representing Dramatics improv um folks in the pictur it's behind me as you can see here um we are all members of Bley High School's creatics and uh group organization um it's been held every Friday from 3: to 5: p.m since 2017 uh yes it's even through Co and now ironically this isn't improvised but bear with me um I call it an organization because it isn't officially recognized as a school club um as I'm sure you're all aware School station clubs within our district receive an automatic $2,000 C on them um without this stien our lack of resources means that we will be terminated next year um this morning we were informed that traumatic will be on Hiatus until further notice um we don't have a supervisor payroll um we need every week to play improv games and hone our ability to take on our feet and last year we had our very first ever major performances and our very own tramatic Studio weekend as well as Circle the Arts of course uh both of which were huge successes um we were helping continue doing performance this year but without funding isn't Dramatics provides a unique space for students who don't want necessarily perform on the big stage it's chance experimenting with their friends and a judgment PR enviral uh Christian Salvador who I believe is on the zoom meeting right now um he started uh he was our lead in a recent redition of the play The Outsiders um but before he was on stage he was in Dramatics um another one of our members who I be uh nameless um she I had a couple of classes with her last year um very quiet person never heard her speak in my life uh she made a choice to join Dramatics this year though and every Friday I see her become a more outgoing and social person and it's really amazing to see and U ma Matthew over there in the leather jacket um he I would have I would have met him if it weren't for Dramatics and now he's one of my closest friends um and we just fear that our demands for becoming school club have been diminished because the Administration has Lum the in with the rest of the programs sply High School's theater to offer um we are a standalone Club more than a third of our company consists of people who aren't associated with the theater in any other way than theat Dramatics um again Matthew V who's also here um um we tried to contact Administration multiple times over the past eight years that we have been uh in production asking to become a club and every year Administration tells us that we're not able to because High School won't be creating any new clubs for the perable future now this school year alone three new clubs have been established namely the Club no place for hate and social media Club all of which have received the after mentioned STS Dramatics create a community of the most talented and diverse individuals I know all I ask is that you recognize Dramatics in PR the school club so you can continue to provide this vital space for me and my peers uh thank you like sure thank you very much for speaking up I appreciate it um I'm not aware of an improv Club it's not in the contract usually when a if you go to the fortly Board of Education website policies and regulations it tells you how to form a club if there's an advented advisor for 2017 until now we were not aware of that so I don't even know if they were getting compensated um and that kind of just from a logistic scares me that we didn't know who was with you um because that's but um three other clubs the ski club is not a club that was created and the other two were cre created in conjunction with the union and that's what the policy states so we'll speak to the union tomorrow morning we have a meeting with them at 9:05 and we'll find out from Union leadership who's running the club what were their staff members doing there and we'll figure it out and we try to put something together but again it's Union approval when we create a new club because it is a stifen position usually so we can get you some answers you're welcome to email me and I can get you answers after tomorrow at 9 o'clock thanks hi everybody good evening keep go uh 2185 Le Mo Avenue let's talk about drones promise so we're having our cpag meeting uh Thursday I know it's late in holiday season or close to the holiday season but we're having it here in this room in person Thursday at 700 p.m. um um we sent that a survey or Monica the director of Social Services sent that a survey um getting feedback from hopefully all parents or Guardians in the district of students with B Wars and IEPs and we're going to be reviewing those results Thursday we're also going to be doing a a live uh session where we ask what's going on this year to see if there's any common themes that we need to work on so it's very important that everybody shows up um we hope to see as many parents here as possible in person uh the other thing we kind of been chatting about me Andrew and Cynthia a little bit and me and other parents is block scheduling um kind of excited because both my kids seem to would benefit from that the more time and more attention um and less transition would fa both my kids so I don't know if that's everybody in the district or every kid in the district but it seems like a good thing um for a lot of kids so we're looking forward to seeing where it's going uh other than that happy holidays to everybody and that's it thank you [Music] hello short uh 555 North Avenue I wanted to thank the administration for making decision either way about block scheduling thank you for deciding it sounds exciting it sounds like a good way forward I'm looking forward to more information and I saw that there might be a test week which I think would be incredible for the kids so whoever's in school now will get a sense of what to expect next year which always helps alleviate anxiety I don't know if anyone else's kids experience that but happens occasionally in my house um and finally merry Christmas happy Hanukkah happy New Year you for your work and we will see hi my name is I live at um I just had a few questions I was a little confused as something said earlier so dramatic had been a have been running for high school since 2017 was established we had has survived through Co it has met every single Friday it is a club that currently has 30 members um I remember last year how big of an impact that Dramatics had on me it's it allows you to open yourself up and for somebody who is an aspiring theater dramatic helps you it helps you be yourself it helps you express yourself in by environment where you know that you are safe you are surrounded by your friends who love you and are not going to judge you for whatever you do I think that such important that every person should be in help with public speaking to meet a community who really respects them and know them for who they are Dramatics is so many things and what I find so upsetting is that we have been trying to make the our advis madra has been working very hard to get this club to be approved and year after year she was told this cannot happen because we are not introducing any there were two I this year which are amazing but I am currently an officer of the nuley club and it is an amazing place when I not understand is why m not simply receive so we can have proper St and the money to run this St we have 30 members who are left with nothing to do on their who are so used and even for our new members love shap this C it's sad for all of us that we are losing our Friday hour everything right and it's not going to happen and refuse to think that happen I want to know why how I can sh that sure thank you I before and if that process wasn't followed I can't tell you why but that's why those two new club in reference the union was aware of it we went through the process together if we go through that that's why it's in contract the contract is up online you can read all of the clubs that we have you can read the board policy on how Club is created um there has to be a teacher they have to contact the principal there's a whole process outline tell you Club the policy number you can look at it and if that's followed then that's what we do so if that wasn't followed in the past I can't comment about that but I can tell you what the our process when we create a club is the same that has been um since I've been here for about three and a half years so if they're following that process we go through it you know there were Club presentations and I know at the middle school we opened up new clubs because it went through that process so that's it we are nobody's hindering any club we have a limited budget but we try to support as many as we can if we can add them but there's there's a reason why the sement are defined in the contract so that how many times a week do they meet has to be advertised to everyone not everyone can be appointed a club visor you have to advertise wall that's part of the Union contract as well so everybody gets an opportunity to have a club so if that process isn't be followed I don't know why but we'll look into it tomorrow morning thank you Dr yes it's I I'm sure everyone isn't watching the chat I missed the name of the club what what that because it seemed like they come came out in force what is it so this they've said The Improv and then they said dramatic Club I know dramtic impr so improvisation and dramatic Club is that what it is it's called so on the contract we have theater producer theater play choreographer theater costumer technical theater director I'm reading from the the contract that we have with our current teachers I mean these are our current advisers to clubs right I like I'm just Cur I don't I I I I couldn't hear the name of the club that they think that they have and I'm just curious well that's that's what I'm trying to figure it out so what we do every year we post the positions for every Club yes and I appreciate that people apply for them it's districtwide posting they we advertise it they apply they get appointed as for the board policy and that's how the clubs work um I'm just hearing about a club that it's not on the contract I don't know who's running it um well I would just ask if they if someone was there how it doesn't into an existing club like why we don't have like you told me we have Dramatics and or whatever I like I'm I'm I'm at a deficit here um how does it not fit into one of our existing clubs and how are you different I would like to know I I I'm going to find out hopefully from the advisor tomorrow find out what the difference is and how does it fall into that that group okay because we want to encourage clubs and and if you could all you know let us all know sure I'd like to know did I hear that we have a ski club now he thought we had a ski club but you said it's not created and now now I'm gonna be like you know the advocate so so last year there were a group of students that presented an email to a teacher that said they would like just by policy G buy a thousand of them there there was there was a policy that was created Bo policy to create an extracurricular activity the students came presented that they were contacting to a teacher they contacted a teacher who wanted to be the advisor to that ski club we had the email from the teacher saying I do not want to be the adviser to the ski club they wanted ended up going on a SK break so last year the ske club went on a ske excuse me a group of stud students went with a teacher on a spe trip um the teacher that they informed us and said that they wanted it sent sent me and I have it I shared it with the board last year copy saying I don't want to be the advisor for that club so as per policy you're supposed to have a advisor to a club with you at all times and that's for the Safety and Security of every student as well I hear you so on the agenda um on the trips ski ski something so there was a ski trip that the teacher said I will take them but a ski club we have a list of clubs in a contract that teachers get compensated to hold meetings they're responsible for taking minutes making sure they do everything we don't have a ski club there was a teacher last year who took them on a trip did something again this weekend um that was um you know was on social media um that was at the American dream and it was titled something about the the Ste Club so that's scary because if someone Pi something was to happen that was not a border approv trip so it what if it was a forly school distri trip that was not on the board agenda or a teacher was there and something was to happen that would be a liability for the district to quite radio social media so just someone post up doesn't mean it's a exctly what it is sure I mean I I I've been away you we all know for a long time and I viewed that as like a district sanctioned every student believed they were on a school trip so I don't know how we balance like okay the district is saying oh it's not us but all the students believe they are um I saw multiple videos of it they all believed that they they were on like a school trip wow uh so I was not aware of it it was not an approv trip which we approve every every time we have a board of education meeting uh there were no I'm assuming there were no buses there from us because if anything God forbid was to happen there's no buses so none of those students had any insurance if um that would open up a huge liability for this din I know this isn't really for discuss now but uh as far as Dramatics are concerned SE action given the fact we've been uh we've been together for so long I'm wondering if there's a possibility that we can circumvent the usual process and and maybe reopen process that you had dis closed for them specifically if an advisor is going to set up I didn't close it we didn't even open it so first thing we would have to do is post it for an advisor the district we have to go through a process that's that's contractual so otherwise we would get called you know that called out on that so I'd rather make sure that we doing it the right way I'm not opposed to having a club but just like anything else we want to make sure that everyone who's in the club being the advisor is vetted I don't know if it's anyone who's not in the district from the district I know but I don't even know that so know we don't we don't know who when we when we have a club we ask who's responsible any individuals who will be in the club are there volunteers that are going to be working with certified teacher is certified by by us and does a proper check if there are individuals who don't hold a current teachers's license we don't vet them we don't know who they are so if there's someone with your children out there and and something's happening on school properly without a beded employee that's scary understood I'm just hoping we can fast TR yeah absolutely but I mean just that's why when I hear about clubs that are traveling without using fortly high school's name that's kind of dangerous um because again we're doing the vetting and if you if anyone out there is assuming that Fort Le is responsible for a ski trip if you just read the agendas and it wasn't on the agenda then someone's doing it without us knowing about it speaking to them tomorrow morning yeah I speak to actually have an appointment as I mentioned previously with the Union president I go over that with her and do they need to be included in those conversations because anyone that's out of contract right so the contract is identifying the clubs so they would have to move it and go from there we can look 9:05 tomorrow morning I have a meeting I'm sure she's listening the union president leadership we have a meeting tomorrow morning we'll see you there we'll discuss okay anyone else out there anyone else out in the public want to speak before we go Zoom okay Mr roero you're up uh Melanie Goodman you've been promoted to panelist please unmute your microphone and feel free to share your video please state your name and address for the record you have three minutes good evening actually my name is Andrew I am on my daughter's email address thank you and happy holidays M you've been promoted to panelist please unmute your microphone and feel free to share your video please state your name and address for the record you have three minutes um hi can you guys hear me yes yeah mial kesu 254 Tom Hunter Road forley New Jersey um so I have a couple of questions in regards to my plan and how it translated to his report cards that he got so for example just to recap my kid didn't have a special teacher for his special at class for most of this trimester the teacher was in class for about two weeks and a half at most cuz she was also sick after coming back from maternity leave so in the meantime one of the things that I brought up as an IEP Point since the very beginning since June he was in K we brought it up in November when they didn't have any teachers and so on was the fact that he needs writing and he needs targeted writing and assistance and training for that guess what I see the report cut my kid Fells writing I start digging around no training was provided obviously they didn't have teachers in class and nowhere on the report card says that my kid failed writing because no training was provided not that they had specialized teachers that they should have taken care of this issue so the question is how is this fair to the kids with IEPs and kids in general to be tested for things that are not in the that they haven't received training for and how do you go to fix this issue cuz what you're doing right now you're kneecapping my kid compared to all the other kids in the district you have any other questions yeah this and this is not the only thing I mean the teacher came in you kind of like rushed through the C curriculum you add them like trimester wor of Science in one week and then you tested them on science you did the same thing with uh reading you did the same thing with all the other stuff that was supposed to be on the curriculum and it wasn't thought on time because I have messages with you guys and I was complaining when do they start science when do they start Spanish when do they start this when did they start that none of it was addressed in time and all of a sudden at the very end the the trimester ends you guys Rush the whole curriculum that they need to be tested on in a week and then you start testing this kids and obviously they fail more than half the of the classes that they have how is this okay how is this fair and we're talking about a special needs class not the regular class is that the end of your question yeah please thank you very much for your comment so I can't speak individually for students um I will tell you that it's always best to contact a teacher or your case manager for your child who will be able to answer those specific questions I know I will be reaching out to your child's teacher as or building level tomorrow but always the teacher and the case manager can answer specific questions regarding uh interventions and what what teachers need and the curriculum and solutions to problems uh but they would be your best resource specifically for each each individual child because I cannot comment publicly about any individual child thank you there are no more raised hands I have a motion to close the Flor to the public motion motion Rino second Morel all in favor I any opposed or extensions okay moving on to call please miss firers Pang yeah Miss colbat Miss Curry yes Mr right yes M Kang yes Mr Lopez yes M Morell yes is Rabino yes M Victor yes is there any old business any sorry that I had to leave during all your resolutions uh but I'm back okay we are moving on to any new business okay go ahead please no all right so um I just wanted to discuss a little quick so anyone who want a special needs kid I know said it takes a special person to be a par profession and over the course of last years I've met several who have expressed interest in taking their commitment to our kids to the next level be teachers um sadly money is preventing many of them doing so um I've read that towns like patteron have applied for receed Grants to help par offet the con tax Tex test bre and other Associated expenses to help folks like this become teachers and uh I think it might be a great way to to address our teacher shortage while also showing appreciation to a group of folks who I think are unappreciated on some Heroes so um I just like to you bring that up and see if there if any other members have any thoughts about that and see if that could be something that we could focus on in this District one other feedback to add on um that I've heard from par is that when teachers receive their professional development that they day that pars are not given as as Rich of the development as the teachers and and often it's the same class year after year um so I wanted to just bring shine you know shine some lights to that if if our parents are working with students who need extra help they need extra help um so to the extent that's possible for consideration that we do prioritize to enrich their professional development in in in in more meaningful way so you know that we give handle training to some of our Pate Professionals in the last professional development day I was sitting in with the power professions actually um while they were going over a handbook that's being created and being reviewed so we were sitting in the cafeteria of the Middle School um miss hin the the director of special education was reviewing it with them and they were doing uh some training as well on how to communicate in that classroom and and some of the the concerns that they uh they had they could express to miss hin so she as the Director of special education spent the entire hour and a half with him doing that professional development so I do know that M Miss Davis as well has spent some time with them um but as far as the concern about grants we have we don't have a full-time grant writer here I know there are districts that are trying to do that as well um locally we don't pay for the practice and we don't pay for the classes usually districts like patteron and nework have a larger budget than we do that's that's just that can sustain that we don't have that capability um we do assist in any way we can by giving them guidance and I know our new HR Director has sa aumed that have bachelor's degree and said you know this is the process if we can expedite it in any way just once someone does their license um once they submit their paperwork for license we have the ability as a district to expedite the process possible we could possibility of reimbursing folks those expenses if they meet a certain threshold like for instance accept work through the district or something of that nature so that would be again a union issue because that would be almost tuition reimbursement because for if someone one doesn't have a bachelor's degree they would have to get so there's a cost associated with that if they an alterate rout teacher there are classes require prior to starting that they would have to take and there several thousands of dollars so we ended up with a many teachers like that and that in that scenario it would cost the district some money and as we know we have a 2% cap on what we can do so we have to look into whether it cost where we find that money from uh to create a program like that but I'm not saying it's not a great idea and I know there are districts that have gotten grants for those type of things and there there are a lot of people looking for innovative ways to to promote from the thing around the country actually thank so I apologize having to step away but to the extent in new business I was intending to abstain from resolution 1B um if we're talking about grant writers Patterson's budget is entirely different from ours and they have cut teachers and staff and par Professionals in a way that that we would never even want to experience in our district I would just ask um as kind of new business is there anyone in our district that that you know for like focused grants could write a grant where we could give them a stipend I mean you know grants are free money um Patterson is not something that you know you know from a grant writing perspective you know I think their budget is at least $200 million and I could be off by a multiple of like 10 it's 600 million 600 million so I said 200 I I'm glad like I was corrected that that their budget is doesn't compare to ours and and so when you have a budget and subsidized in a way that ours isn't by the state and just different kind of needs I I would never want to compare us to like Patterson with their their funding I think if we dig deep and we're creative and we think out of the box um there are grants that are probably available to us that we have very capable people on staff that could do some grant writing I like and if we know of grants that we're in we think we could win I think you should present to the board a proposal that there are these you know the XYZ ABC grants and this is time intensive and for $50,000 we could get $500,000 it's like a cost benefit analysis um I think so I I I just proposed that I like came back on and I'm like Patterson grant writer well you know where where we're a different District I agree if we have an opportunity like we did two years ago PA if you remember we you paid someone $5,000 to Reg a grant we got a $500,000 security grant for the safety for safety y it was a grant that we two years ago $5,000 was the cost $500,000 is what we want um so that you know one of the few in the country so you know when we see a grant that we are able to get we will we can either hire someone or try to find out how to incorporate someone to to get possibly a Sion but we always are looking for those um to the best of our ability we have a you know a limited number of people and we're trying to work through as much as we can but I did I do know two years ago we did get a $500,000 grant for security no and we used it wisely so we used all of the the uh it's called a lens system so every panic button all of the intercoms in all of the schools now are are linked to the Police Department with emergency lighting and sto lights and everything all consistent with across all it's live and it's connected to the police department it's top of the line was it in Alison's law type Grant or where many school districts got it I forget because I and we were quoted you and I were quoted it because Bill pascarel announced it that it was Fort Le last they got a great great um did a press relas yeah and we were able to get it I think in New Jersey there were only two districts that got it we were one of them um so we were happy to to get that and that allowed us to put all those strobe lights and all those Panic buttons that you see with the the red button that says you know alert um and we applied again this year for another $500,000 we did not get it we'll be deep looking because we need to upgrade a lot of other things including not just security and safety but other things I we're looking at infrastructure grants and how we can save money that way we'll definitely look to make some calls into patter and see what Grant they're talking about what that entails but sometimes we don't necessarily qualify it's we're a unique District in that way socioeconomically it's a lot of some some grants are based on free and reduced lunch which we wouldn't we don't have a large percentage comparison to other districts uh especially talking about the bill the Gaye Foundation that those grants as well as the Walton Foundation so we're a little bit different um just so just for reference how many students this patteron scho District do 15 15,000 [Music] suggest how much that they get so they get a tremendous amount of State a um and that you know that 24,000 25,000 they get some state aid to offset their their their tax levy they don't have a very large tax levy so they get the state aid that offet cost um you know Trent is a half a billion dollars nework is about a billion dollar budget 800 million 800 million 800 close 600 800 there you go and on that note I my teachers um there are a lot of great people who work in P who do a great job with what they have and and and I I I will tell you that I started my career in Jersey City and it's a very interesting place and if you really want to learn how a teachers start when you work in an inner city you'll learn very quickly how important education is to a lot of people and and how we take a lot of things for granted we need to really look at ourselves when we when we complaining about things there are people who are complaining with a lot of other problems that we don't even recognize and you know I told the same way we take a lot of things for GR I mean if anyone wants to meet the Patterson Board of Education they they are available to us and and you know they have challenges that we don't but we can learn from them I I I know a number of them can I share a few comments on new business um three things I I want to congratulate this congratulate the students who have been accepted um to their early decision and early acceptance school um fley is indeed the place to be I also want to encourage those students who have not heard yet or may not got the letter you want to get I want to tell you life will be okay and that you don't lose courage and I want to encourage those who are on the call tonight to please share this message with your children and that they can bring it back to the school to encourage each other that I hope the education forly provides it's not a college degree but a confidence that you will excel no matter you where you will be because I S we did and I'm very thankful for the for the education um second I want to congrat I want to say congratulations to the outsider actors writing everyone it was probably the best show I have seen from the forly school I I haven't done to many of them um and I'm probably going to say the same thing next time when I go to the next one but it it was phenomenal and on that note um this is the first I heard of The Dramatics CL as well and it's evident to me that you care deeply about it I am as perplexed how does a club that started 2017 gets terminated or be notified that it's terminated whether it's a club it's not not in existent I robt um M Dr PR you have always been very open process is important to you I hope that you go home and meet that process and I'm not you know I'm not saying that you put a rooll block in front of you just so you understand um but I I hope that after the meeting tomorrow you got some clarity and if you don't I want to applaud you to not to applaud you for coming tonight but not to give up so thank you anything else for new business okay may I have a motion to adjourn second motion Rino second Morel all in favor any oppos okay thank you all for coming go
