I'm the city of Fort Worth project manager and um as you can see I've got the some of our team listed on the screen as well. Um so let's go ahead and get started. I'll go to the next slide. Um just wanted to give a special shout out to Council District 6 and all the 3 00:01:06.680 --> 00:01:28.240 work they do for the city. Um I'm not sure if Council member Hall or any of their staff are here, but if so, um feel free to introduce yourselves. Say hi to everyone. So for the agenda for this evening, um we're going to go over the current conditions of the um roadway or lack thereof um at the project site. We're going to go through the project objective, the improvements, cost, schedule, and then last the 5 00:01:44.440 --> 00:02:00.680 funding. So currently what's out there today? Um there's a two-lane roadway on McCart from Valley Bend Drive to Cayman Drive. And then I'm sorry. I don't know that that's right. 6 00:02:00.680 --> 00:02:16.080 Yeah, I think that's right. Um and then sorry. And then there's a two-lane roadway on McPherson and that's from West Cleburne to east of McClain Farm Drive. Um the rest of this project will be new construction. Um it's pretty much undeveloped land there. Um 7 00:02:16.080 --> 00:02:32.360 yeah, so we'll get into um what it looks like today. As you can see, um we've got McCart um towards the north side and then Rising Road and McPherson and we'll be expanding McCart and McPherson. So, the main project objectives for this 8 00:02:32.360 --> 00:02:50.320 project are to increase safety and improve connectivity by adding this corridor um for the city. And then here is an overview of the proposed improvements for this project. Um as you can see, we've got um expanding McCart from Rising Road all 9 00:02:50.320 --> 00:03:06.080 the way down to Twin Leaf on the south and expanding McCart McPherson or sorry, McPherson Drive. McPherson, whatever, to um from West Cleburne to McCart. Um and then here a couple snapshots from 10 00:03:06.080 --> 00:03:21.080 the plans of the typical sections for this project. Um mostly McCart will be from the north side of the project down to McPherson will be a two-lane divided roadway with median um 11 00:03:21.080 --> 00:03:38.360 cutouts for left turns. And then from McPherson all the way down to Twin Leaf, it will be a two-lane roadway with um continuous two-way left turn lanes. And then on McPherson, um it'll be a divided roadway just like McCart um on 12 00:03:38.360 --> 00:03:54.400 the north side of the project. Um two lanes on each side with a left turn lane um going on to uh Cleburne. So, here is a bit of a zoomed-in version for the proposed improvements um on 13 00:03:54.400 --> 00:04:10.640 McCart, and this is the segment from Risinger all the way to North Crowley-Cleburne. As you can see, we're going to be doing, like I said, a four-lane divided highway or roadway with median cutouts, and those will be at Aruba Lane and Cayman Drive. 14 00:04:10.640 --> 00:04:26.680 And then, on the south side of this image, obviously, we're going to have a roundabout connecting McCart to North Crowley-Cleburne Road. And then, here's a zoomed in version just to those median cutouts. Like I said, they're going to be for Cayman Drive and Aruba 15 00:04:26.680 --> 00:04:43.880 Lane. And then, here's a zoom in of the roundabout at North Crowley-Cleburne. As for the proposed improvements for the rest of the project, we're going to get into some of the other segments. As an overview of this part, we have 16 00:04:43.880 --> 00:05:00.680 another roundabout being proposed and three bridges over bodies of water. Yeah, so this first section is North Crowley-Cleburne Walnut McCart from North Crowley-Cleburne to McPherson Boulevard. Um 17 00:05:00.680 --> 00:05:17.360 As you can see, like I said for the previous segment, this is going to be a four-lane divided, and it'll go in directly to the roundabout. The next segment we'll talk about is McPherson Boulevard from um Crowley-Cleburne, I think, to McCart. Um 18 00:05:17.360 --> 00:05:32.120 and it'll be a four-lane divided as well. You can see the bridge highlighted in orange right there on the screen, and that'll be going over um a body of water. And then, going to the south limits of the project from McPherson all the way 19 00:05:32.120 --> 00:05:48.040 to Twin Leaf, it'll be mostly a a two-way two-lane roadway with uh um two two-way left turn lanes. And then, um obviously, on the north side is that 20 00:05:48.040 --> 00:06:07.080 same roundabout that we saw in the previous slide from McPherson. All right. Um getting into the product cost and schedule. Um we're going to be constructing this project for $35.4 million. Um the total project budget um for the city for this project is $48.8 million. 21 00:06:07.080 --> 00:06:24.680 And then as for the project schedule um construction's going to be starting next month in July of 2026 and will complete substantially um in July of 2028 giving this contract a 2-year time span. Um as far as project funding sources 22 00:06:24.680 --> 00:06:41.400 goes um most of this project is funded by the bond program and transportation impact fees and there are some various other um funding sources as well. So, the massive thoroughfare plan takes into account um anticipated volumes for the ultimate build out of that section 39 00:11:19.000 --> 00:11:39.800 and it didn't warrant four lanes. So, it's going to be a two lane section with a two-way left turn lane. >> Is there any anticipation how long after the completion of this that they'll turn into a four lane? >> At at this time it's not anticipated to 40 00:11:39.800 --> 00:11:54.640 be a four a four lane um at all. The map we have a what we call a master thoroughfare plan which maps all the city streets that are in the ground now and that are needed in the future 41 00:11:54.640 --> 00:12:11.520 uh based on anticipated traffic volumes from the various areas once they fully developed. Takes into account uh land use. If it's 1,000 homes, what have you? And that is taken into account to predict what the uh number of lanes are going to be needed on every road.
