Uh so we're going to go through the uh purpose of 12 00:03:08.239 --> 00:03:23.440 this meeting is to provide information about the Northtown Tan Parkway and Beach Street project. This meeting will include the project location, projects purpose and scope, construction progress, process, project 13 00:03:23.440 --> 00:03:39.519 schedule, not and notification. All questions will be answered at the end of the presentation. So, an overall view of the project location. It's North Tarant Parkway and North Beach. 14 00:03:39.519 --> 00:03:58.080 It's bounded by 35 West Loop 820 and Main Street looking big picture. So the project purpose is to enhance safety, mobility, operational efficiency at North Tan 15 00:03:58.080 --> 00:04:17.040 Parkway and North Beach Street intersection by improving capacity, optimizing turning movements, and upgrading illumination. So, the project scope includes additional concrete on the left and right turn lanes, channelizing right 16 00:04:17.040 --> 00:04:35.240 turn islands, upgraded traffic signals, pedestrian sidewalk and curb ramps, drainage, illumination, signage, pavement markings, and necessary utility adjustments. 17 00:04:36.000 --> 00:04:51.360 So here is the here are the plans. So we have uh traffic signal replacement on all four corners along with pedestrian sidewalk and curb ramps. We have the 18 00:04:51.360 --> 00:05:13.680 dedicated left turn lanes on all four approaches. We also have dedicated right turn lane improvements and pavement marking improvements. The construction process is as follows. We'll go with notification, 19 00:05:13.680 --> 00:05:29.759 traffic control implementation, erosion control plan implementation, site clearing and demolition. Then we'll go through the phased construction process which will have total of eight phases. 20 00:05:29.759 --> 00:05:46.720 traffic control and erosion control removal then final cleanup. So the project schedule and notification the anticipated project start will be August 24th, 2026. 21 00:05:46.720 --> 00:06:03.919 Project duration is 390 calendar days. The anticipated project completion will be October of 2027. So working hours will be standard 22 00:06:03.919 --> 00:06:20.800 7 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and then if requested in writing there will be weekend hours of 9 to 5. the project notification. There will be project signs placed seven days before 23 00:06:20.800 --> 00:06:36.400 construction and then there will be notices to residents and businesses 7 days before construction via door hangers. The project schedule could be affected by unforeseen events such as inclement 24 00:06:36.400 --> 00:06:54.400 weather. So, we'll go through some frequently asked questions. Question, will the intersection or roadway bay be completely closed? Answer, no. Full intersection or roadway 25 00:06:54.400 --> 00:07:16.800 closures are currently anticipated. Temporary lane closures and traffic shifts may be required during certain construction activities. Advanced warning signs will be provided. Will utility service be interrupted? 26 00:07:16.800 --> 00:07:37.280 Utility adjustments will be required. However, no plan interruptions to water, electricity, communications or other services are to expected. Are we impacting driveways in the project? If so, will there be any access 27 00:07:37.280 --> 00:07:53.199 to the property during driveway construction? There will be multiple driveway reconstructions in this project. We will be replacing the driveways half at a time and will provide continuous 28 00:07:53.199 --> 00:08:11.120 access to the properties at all times. Question will existing irrigation systems or grass be impacted in this project? Answer: If an existing irrigation system or grass parkway is impacted by the 29 00:08:11.120 --> 00:08:27.199 construction, the contractor will be required to repair these to preconstruct pre-construction conditions. Question, how will construction noise, dust, and debris be controlled? Answer: The contractor will be required to follow city requirements for working hours, dust control, site maintenance, 31 00:08:47.040 --> 00:09:04.880 and debris removal. There will be some overhead utilities still when the when the project is finished. Most of those poles have been relocated, but there are a couple that are still pending.
