##VIDEO ID:pYxh5Gkj9bA## as this is my first meeting of the sub Committee of this term and for myself as chair I would like to make a brief statement before we begin I intend on to operate thise as way as it was um we will continue to ask questions and have discussions of these appointees um their duties and their work as what better counselors and commun simply prove a oh sorry as a reminder this committee does not make the final decision simply um Prov anyone St Scott to the position of local inspector thank you very much Mr chairman uh Mr ch's been working with the city now in his probationary period and been very impressed with the work he's done every report I've received has been that it's a very thorough and firm but fair uh evaluation uh both with the members of the public and the staff that he works with here in City Hall I've been very happy with the work that he's been doing um you know it's been you know during his probationary period um you've seen work e it he brings the job and we don't get to interact daily uh because of the way our positions interact but when we do interact or the stuff the reports they get back to me from people who do interact with him daily have been nothing but Pleasant and the Building Commissioner commissioner sua can certainly talk more in detail as someone who directly oversees this position by state law this is one of the few positions that are under the department head that have to be appointed to medic city council uh in our departments that we have here too uh so I'd like you know him to speak a little bit more but I've been very happy with Mr chat's performance so far coming back to us with a strong Public Service background this law enforcement career and now transition to building enforcement side of the Institute so it's great to have M to been working as a local inspector now since August I don't see any any reason for me to ight May the August of September um work EIC is second amount as mayor re law enforcement so um stresses of this job don't see moving forward as you all know you're aware of how hard and long process it was to try find atice depart curiosity very next day how long were you pop how was that and then jump construction many many many years prior to that what basically changed my career PA was 911 I young enough to be in the military g into the military I retired as a detective um as a um DED with injury um that's great um are you all my [Music] a few things so with us febr4 right into the ele chaotic you know just do this just do that and didn't complain and just literally thr the fire of like the chaos of ele and the cl's office um he's a fast and doesn't complain ask questions um I can show him something how to do something want and gets it and if he gets stuck then he'll ask me but he'll try to um figure it out on his own first before come in YouTube it make a phone call Google it whatever but he's very good with like shhoting any errors err questions problems that come up in office notic um he the follow the office to find ways to um make the operation for efficient I'm always open to new ideas and ways to make our office workow work and I think one of my favorite ones was the um during the election time we have all these early voting ballots and and what we normally would do just take them and put them in bags to send them out to the election on Election Day here I just love that idea so now it's already in order for voal list and all we just did was wrap it up and send it to them and the coworkers election workers thought was a great idea very good about the customers um I have received a lot of like compliments from constituents customers either verbally by email by phone else C just love a really good personality with them hand some of the sometimes customers better than our like I see I can my office the way talk to them all a above beyond for the C as well there's like if someone needs help or he makes a phone call or whether it's calling the bet for certificates for so as we know August 2024 that time all that that was around the October primary once again he was thr to the fire but he stepped up to the plate and took care of all the operations that need to be done in the aice I had to call back mlar and then and they helped him with with the elections with everything going on and excellent job when I was gone appreciate his help when when I here so especially during the lunching time too um you know also learn from Alan great knowledge too you know he's like a encycopedia just knows everything so I still so he also while was gone since I had no staff but now he also conducted the um interviews for the other two position admin coordinator so two people that he had to go through that up with them intervie soose [Music] employees right now and also Excell I could have asked for another the dynamic theice and he's also been around concerts as well so but it's a new year everything that I'm doing as I go so every time I start something new working on the sentus now this is what we do we're working on Street working on like nomination all these communications so like my so my name is Janar and as he said I been office here now and I just want to say that through my time here I can honestly say that even now for a year I'm still learning new stuff every single day and I just want to say that I'm looking forward to learning more stuff in the future and learning everything that I can do to help the residents of the city and help gu your forward what was concerned is very big know very
