##VIDEO ID:CEU1s7QF780## [Music] good good morning everyone good good morning everyone can everybody hear me can you hear me at all a little do I have to put this in my mouth I feel like these guys on TV to sing they they swallow the mic before they can sing well anyway good morning glad that so many people could make it where there is a busy day across the street and all the people we got voting and so forth but anyway uh thank you for coming uh I have a few things to do before we have a speaker come on and I'm going to start with uh December 3rd that's our next meeting and as you some of you most all of you know that uh we do not have a speaker in December we have our own that's our own day to do what we want to do which is uh voting for new offices which of course that's a simple one we only have two just we're sitting right here so whether we get elected or not that's to be seen in uh in December but anyway uh we're going to have the Christmas party which everyone uh likes to do it's the Yankee swap and uh we'll have the table set up for uh coffee and all the different things that the the girls bring so we don't have a tree I don't think darene do we have a Christmas tree for the next month okay all right could you light it for us I'll no problem okay so so we do have a small tree for the table is that what you do okay we'll look together so that would be good because along with what we can do for decorations and everybody here helps out all of the stuff over you see on your right over here that is all the train section which will be up here in back of us those the all the trains that uh all of the villages every one of those boxes has to be open and set up in the back here and uh I don't know if you lot know about it but but Charlie celing who was the fellow in charge of that he developed that years and years ago and he was here and every year he added more and more to it but he when he left a few years ago he was told uh he told others that he didn't want to take it with him to leave it here and every year people can have it set it up so it's a donation to the town for all of that he did himself for over the years my first uh have election for the two offices and that that course is going to be for the secretary and the president and that would be uh at the party after that we will all join in for a fun party and that's the Yankee swap I think any everyone knows what a Yankee Swap is Right Joe liit [Music] yeah it can be unwrapped okay so it's uh $10 $10 for a wrapped present how big is it got to be rap Joe I'm still using my okay all right so that's what that's going to be the Yankee swap and it's a lot of fun we have a separate table for hot coffee and most of the time each one would bring in something special to have on the table for uh eats afterwards and for the new year our first meeting which will be on January 7th and our speaker will be Kathy lanatra she is as you know the state representative for our our town as well as other towns she does the host host section but when when the town was divided uh things changed a little bit so anyway Kathy represents Halifax uh and that is as far as I go with you at this time the election for the year uh starting will be in January so if we're elected the two of us here this will start for January meeting and it will go on for one year and that's what we do the offices are for one year a time so what I want to do now I want to turn the meeting over to uh a special fellow from the Halifax fire department that's Captain Jeff kuzo and uh Jeff's going to light a fire up here and show you how he shuts it down so Jeff uh welcome here and would you welcome Jeff he's a good person he's a good guy and he's been with a force how long Jeff over here I've been here in Halifax for 18 years so some of yeah it's been 18 and 19 so it's been a long long time I know the town pretty well lot of famar faces like you you know you've been in the town a while when I drive the road and every third house like much no matter where I go the you know so long that pretty much so unfortunately some cases you know some good cases bad cases but yeah yeah there's there's four captains in there's four shifts so four groups right now we have about three people on per group we also call staff as well the call staff kind of supplements the full timers so there's three of us on at any given day so four groups four officers four C so basically I'm in charge of I supervise in one group uh I'm group two so when I come in I have two other support who are underneath me I take the car they either jump in the engine or the ambulance mostly the ambulance depending on the calls and uh yeah it's more of a you know supervisory role uh but basically as far as what they do we all we all do the same job whether it's fire ORS so obviously in this town what whatever call comes in we either jump on the an or we'll jump on the engine cross train or whatever mitigate whatever haard comes our way when a call comes in Jeff I I no this a lot of time the police go f is the police go first because they AR to usually see a police car going ahead then the animal just comes up a little few seconds later well depends on where they are depends on what the call is so most of the time unless the cops are busy unless the p is busy we'll go to any call together so whether it's a medical fire call it's kind of a unified response with both feing and fire so it's a team effort you know by both sides and I can honestly say and this is the god-given truth like in some towns believe it or not the fire Poli like really don't get along not going to say where who but honest to God in this town the relationship is a pretty strong one so no you have that going for you as well which is which is how it should be I mean obviously I mean people are always like not get along but in this town um we both sides work very hard to make that happen there's a pretty good relationship between fire and I wasn't sure if he checked for guns around the property before you arrive if what check for guns around the property before you you arrive no no not unless word that okay I'm sure they're around yeah okay so I'll let you go ahead with your presentation oh okay so Joe should we go fire blanks first or extinguishers the fire blanket um I think in right for everybody okay every house was issued one so every house in the mobile homeall park yes really I know that every house in the mobile home how many is that 400 units 43 430 units I thought yeah I thought it was 440 okay 430 so 430 of these were issue that's good to know so so for oh I do oh my God so I gotta be careful that's the good thing is is uh unless we actually use it on fire it sounds like it is reusable so these blankets um honestly I don't have too much experience with I'm going to go over a fire extinguishes as well in a few minutes but let's go over these and let's take a take a close look on on what we have so like I said I've never I mean I've seen one I've never really utilized one but looks like the fire blankets you can open that up yeah I love okay the pros and cons basically especially from the videos now every time we watch a video online we want to make sure and take it with a grain of salt because it might not really be as effective as that and the thing is too especially with fire what you see on a video whatever video you see that they play for this you know fires are obviously very Dynamic very changing the conditions are different the variables are different the people who are using it so yeah seeing me or a young firefighter like one of our 20-year-olds with this blanket jumping in action might be a little bit different than you using it when you know you have a grease fire in your kitchen and and all of a sudden you're really nervous and anxious does that make sense what I mean is by the mental state too is a little bit different there's a lot of variables we have to consider um when using something like this so we'll go over a little bit more of that in a second however apparently so what a fire blanket does right is stomp out a fire smother it and a lot of times when we say smother we mean it's like stomping on a little fire in your grass or in your fire pit smothering it removing the oxygen if you remove oxygen oxygen is part of the fire pit your hedan if you remove that you have no fire make sense so I think what this does is by smothering it you're removing the oxygen from the fire and again you remove the oxygen fire goes out you don't have an issue a little bit more to it than that especially if you the difference between like say you have a crease F or electrical fly depending on where the fire is is coming out the outlet is it on the stove um but in any case it seems like this would be a good thing to have now as far as this compared to extinguisher so um like I said I'll open it in a second I'm going to be biased and say I still rather have an extinguisher nearby than this now um I'm a not a pace Co obviously but that doesn't mean this isn't any good but doesn't mean doesn't work I'm just not like we don't have these in our trucks we have extinguishers and I can honestly say so from a fire extinguishing perspective the extinguishers work really good you can buy out those in Home Depot you can buy pretty much anywhere and there's some symbols in there that can pretty much put almost any fire out that you can see in your house so a couple different things according to what Google says is like sometimes these are good for cook fires uh sorry uh grease fires and other sites say these really aren't that good for grease fires so greas you're cooking right how many of you guys cooking your stove I've been in many mobile home parks where your pots and pans are on the stove sometimes the stove is on and we're you know assessing the patient and we turn the stove off but that's good um but Reese fires are more of the dangerous side to fires because you can't use water right so the only way besides removing the pot from your house is by smothering it or using an extinguisher because you can't use water uh but the meantime supposedly these as long as you cover it completely we we can use it now storage the thing is I think extinguishers for some reason are a little not for some reason but a little bit more easy to see usually you keep it underneath your sink so a lot of times if if you know where this is that's another thing like this can easily fit in a drawer or a box and you kind of lose sight of it I think too with the extinguishers is the extinguishers it's just it's a little bit more Vis visible I guess it's it can stand up straight it literally fits right underneath you know sink or I this can you put it underneath your sink but sometimes people may slip at somewhere else and you may not remember where it is but in the meantime if you do remember where it is let's take a take a look at it now take and release tap each hand and pull down okay drop the blanket over the Flames okay so say we have a fire right here how's that sound right here yeah so like anything else if you do use a blanket right you obviously want to open it this you I would know I mean you would want to open it as full as it can go okay pretty conspicuous interesting material feel it different okay open it up switch off the heat leave the position into cool yes well this is not in real time I'm just reading okay but was one of those things it's kind of like crawl walk run so we're kind of at the crawl stage we'll fold it back up and then we'll do a quick you know what I mean so they kind of show you real time so and then it lays over lays over the heat okay I would say suggest that say if your pan or whatever catches fire if it's in the center you obviously cover it so it's covered on on all sides now as that says too one of the things is we always turn off the gas the grilled whatever the case may be it's electrical fire we turn off the breaker so if you're in your house and you throw this on a pot obviously what we want to do turn this so off right want to make sure we do that we want to remove any type of heat source that we can um so that being said uh that's what you do and then you leave in place go outside wait for the fire department to arrive so that was one my my question or comment I'm from the DA's office and the L's from the sheriff's department we've been to a lot of fire presentations and there's in a hot debate about the blankets some are like just calling right oh yeah I'm yeah I'll go over that right I'm going to go over that right now yeah just going over some of the steps but then we'll go over the practicality I'm G to get yes yes they down electric St stay for a long time they do I would not do that yeah exactly yes I would not do that yes I keep my Hang right in theory that would work good so we're getting the practicality purposes okay we're getting there yes all right any other questions about the use of it 911 okay so now that that's being said I need somebody I'm calling you can you fold this back up and put it ready to go you can reload good question I'll get to that I'll get to that a minute yes Joe's got Joe Joe spits out questions I can't even I barely keep up you know barely keep up F the back I'll put it back in there oh fold it back yes thank I thought I was please and thank you with an with with an extinguisher right this is something you can use to fight a fire okay um anywhere farther away six feet away pulling squee sweep move towards fire then you can leave right even before now now here we go so Theory versus practicality like I said the anxiety the emotions that you have even for me you know if you have a fire in your kitchen how are you going to be thinking about the Flames or the fire in your kitchen you think your anxiety level and your heart rate is going to go up right now we've been trained since you were a child to do what as soon as it's a fire well no no but yeah what do you need what do you need to out get out of the building and call 91 so regardless of everything you see here or Tau with the fire blanket okay get out of the building and call 911 because chances are the fire department us or whoever response times are usually pretty good me this day age and we're going to get there pretty quick from our perspective if you become a casualty inside your house that magnifies our what's the word um what is it word no not no that that magnifies are headache so to speak for lack of better a term times 10 if we know you're in the building right usually I I don't know the exact statistic nine times out of 10 19 out of 20 when there's a fire say you have the kitchen fire say something's going on by calling 911 you know and using your phone you can you can use your phone as you're walking out it's like doing CPR on a baby as you're walking for the phone test Impressions you know what I mean um you can be calling 91 so you're kind of kill two birds one stone you're calling on one as you're leaving the building so that makes things way less complicated for us because we know when we get there that what nobody in there one of the first questions I asked somebody else asked when we get to your house is there anybody else inside the house how about the animals great question she's I mean she ask me these questions uh remind me I'll get that in a second okay I'll get back I don't want to talk about the anal just yet we'll get back to that so when you guys out that makes things way less of a headache nine times out of 10 19 out of 20 times we're going to be able to extinguish your pigeon fire because we know we're going through motions if you're in there and you're on the ground because you trip fell move um spilled something because you're anxious J just CFE little sh see now mag if you have a fire in a kitchen by getting that blanket by unraveling it which in of self looks like it takes about 5 seconds if something happens during that do you want to take that chance I really wouldn't but that's just me so like I said it's tough to truly answer the question because I'm not in your kitchen I'm not in your house I don't know your capabilities you know some people are much more slower moving and think of how ambulatory how how fast a lot of you are able to walk and I can guarantee from I've been in probably half of the units in the mobile home park over the years literally i' probably about 200 probably more people move a lot slower than you guys okay so my first reaction and practicality of resolving the situation is getting out does that make sense can I okay yes yeah lot of don't live in the so we didn't get anything there quite a few people that don't right y yes absolutely so her question was extinguisher dates if it's expired can you bring it to fire department absolutely because most of these are expired but we can still use them we'll still use them I suggest just like medication or anything else will it still work it's going to work but bring it to the fire department we'll just dispose of it generally these are disposable you can kind of just go to the dumpster but we'll do it because we'll use it because a lot of these extinguishers if these are expired we'll just bring them and then to show you guys how to use them sounds like a win-win to me right so yes so a lot of these extinguishes so these are pretty cheap you can buy a Walmart Target T um home those pretty cheap small pretty easy to use so I think in a little while in a few minutes or so after we go through all this we can go outside beautiful day it is and we can test some of these extinguishers how does that sound Joe's got a huge fire off back fire just too lit unfortunately there won't be any fire but we can wake with 10 right use these these extinguishers are used to put out virtually any type of fire that's in your house whether it's ordinary combustibles paper plat paper cardboard wood whether it's greases oils and pans this will put out your grease fire energized Electro equipment Outlets say you have a sparking out kind of gets nervous right all sparking you see a little flyer Outlet this will put it out so between electric equipment grease flyers and orinary combustibles which is 99% of what kind of fire you going to have in your house this will put it out pretty simple to use too holding the bottom you pull the pin and you squeeze the top keeping it about waist level say if the fire is where Joe is you know six to eight feet away and then walking towards it a little bit spraying it and you'll see in a few minutes when we do it outside it has a good reach of about six to eight feet spray to the center of the fire this will extinguish it all right there's different um sizes and types you know some these are a little a little bit bigger some are using more commercial properties so when you look at extinguishers you're going to see the classifications on them like I said when you buy the ones at Target or whatever it's going to your build what you need it for but you see the little blue symbols they tell you they're kind of grunt proof as we used to say in the military they're kind of gr and they tell you what it can fit out wood paper liquids right I'm over I'm over 40 so I know it's going electrial equipment so you'll see exactly it's pretty like I said grunt proof pretty easy to follow all the all the mechanisms for using it are the same holding the bottom of the handle pulling the pin okay uh taking the hose and just spraying back and forth as you approach the fire so again something to consider now besides a blanket using this in your house you kind of go offensive so to speak and not defensive def offive is calling 9 one and leaving the house this is offensive now I'm not telling you to not use it or use it but just knowing your limitations and knowing your capabilities of the extinguisher this is ours this is the pressure high water extinguisher so this just shoots water so it says here so ordinary combustibles right you see the other ones the other ones are xed out because this is just water okay so this is just water right but being pressurized is kind of nice see see that pressure is pretty good but you you wouldn't want to use this on a grease fire that would make it wor but as you see pretty impressive the the other extinguishers they don't shoot quite that much but but pretty close so as you walk around a clamp mine in my house not clamp so that's just a simple clamp it really took a split second to but as you see the detectors okay so ABC orinary combustibles paper greases and electrical so even in this town hall this Great Hall this Hall that we're in you can use this for pretty much anything in here and within a split second you can probably put most of it out but again it's up to you what kind of fire is it is it in a trash can because if it's in a trash can and and you're composed you can put it out pretty easily you're not going to burn the place down what depends on you depends on how much how well you can walk you know where the exits are um is there anybody else in the room is there anybody else you're worried about okay so again call I one and leave the building and will come but getting back to the extinguishers you'll see these every sure what the code is every I don't know 15 20 ft I think there's two in here one one maybe other out the hallway you'll see these the see these all over all right with regards to the symbols and those extinguishers um any questions on those Joe Jo darling is that all pull it up oh yeah all right I need a volunteer I need a volunteer come on great question every second counts darling this is what I mean this is a good example you're in your house right he like oh Jeff show me there's tabs there's tabs you get this out that's been sitting in your drawer for five years and the tabs are like stuck in it's one of those things when you're in the Heat of the Moment and um the younger people here but you know you guys know by by wisdom your years that when you have a serious situation you tend not to think it's clearly so all of a sudden you you don't see the tabs just kind of like whatever I need to get out of my house again which is fine but it's one of those things that you got to if you want to use it it would be a good idea to practice once a year watch some more videos and go through the motions but yes good qual with the TS all right volunteer there we go all right I'm Fred okay so Fred's in his house right he's standing right there and the fire is right there Fred's like oh there's a fire so Fred's going to take a blanket and put it over the fire [Applause] they gave me the first thing I did was somebody else had mentioned it I put a little es but I put it up on the cabinet door that was like four or five ft away from the top of the stove yeah so and every day when I open these various cabinets for whatever it is coffee cup or whatever reminds me of where that blanket is and then when I need it I don't even need to this all I do is grab those two tabs and put it on that thing is ready to go at all times the other thing reason I know some of this is I used to sell fire exting anyway with the fire Extinction where do you put it in your house you put it near your front door or the door that you would Escape by from your kitchen and the reason you put it by the door is because by the time you get to that extinguisher now you're looking to see am I going to safely be able to use this or do I get the hell out of the house so by putting it in that location by putting this in your cabinet you got your location standardized you see them every day and make your home safe good [Applause] idea now know I'll be there one day one day anyway than for that the thing a couple things that caught my attention about what Fred said is I think he said standardized and if you look at Fred you see a guy who's pretty well organized right yes so there 430 units in the mobile home part we keep using the mobile home part for example 380 of them are not organized they're not standardized I've been in a lot of them some room are Prett me and keep stuff pretty high and tight but that's probably not the majority of the cases so that's something to always consider on when you're talking to a neighbor a friend is to help install move Place brainstorm where the best places you know and by what threads that maybe near the front door so things think think in mind so not only do you help you want to help yourselves and you're a priority number one but your neighbor as well and that's some things to consider to look for because I can guarantee I've been a lot of the mobile home parks and a lot of them are not like I said they're not near the front door there's other stuff near the front door and that's why you know that's why I always go to the location of underneath the sink which is probably near the wood probably near the stove which is where you don't want to go for something to put out the fire but it's just the general idea of where someone's going to go or think you know in in an emergency right away for their ex but good things to consider now can that can that blanket be used suppos supposedly very official term by myself right supposedly so we're going to go the wait let me give my opinion Jeff Kel's opinion nothing do with cifax or or captain or whatever I like I like fresh it's like um you turn it once in a real life situation actually we did a month ago you're not going to use it again we're we're just going to check it same thing with because the way I look at it is why why would I if I really use it on the fire there a legitimate fire and it work great they're probably pretty cheap I know times it's tough and budet tight but I can't imag I how much I'm not sure price2 yeah I can't for the purposes of safety for the purposes of Peace in mind I can't imagine using it again I just throw it out that's what I do say I would go I would throw out buy new one because chances are if you're using more than one a year you assist living or you just like to see me my colleagues you know could be um so there's probably is probably issue something you're doing wrong that's okay we can talk about it but if you're using more than one a year uh but $20 for a piece of Mind voice of the yes how do you know are they are question everybody question so the gauge on it you want it you want the need on the green pretty simple they're usually as an expiration date as someone pointed out to 2012 I should say somewhere I'll would keep it maybe you know two years but there is a needle as long as it's in the green it's charged right and now the thread would probably know more than even I would about it but that's generally what you look for if it's less than that I would probably either thr away give it to the fire department or buy any one because if it's fully pressurized and fully charged you're going to get a lot of out of it and you probably going to put out a lot of fire if that's if that's the case okay so like I said if it's less than that if it's less than the center or not in the middle not in the green I would just consider it bad and buy a new one again because why would you have one that's not yes could Fred right you can bring it to somewhere it's a lot of steps like lines in Brock but I mean I don't know people yeah you can bring it so re Lions they're in Rockland that's what they what they do I mean again that's like five more steps in what you as the the average homeowner need to do but yes you can recharge but uh buying these at the Home Depot or Target 20 20 30 bucks maybe the most again a pce of mind and uh what's the expiration date how long do these last plus the fact that because they do have an expiration date and you've had it for a couple of years or three years or four years whatever now you look and it's down into the no pressure range do you want to go recharge it or just say okay let's go buy a I choose the L right that's just me peace of mind done boxes checked moving oname blame you hear me all right any more questions yes talk about our oh pets [Music] yes let start with pet so in addition to the importance everything there's emergency information that's very very important we always ask um we've included it in our newsletters as well it's an emergency sheet that will provide with an updated information so that is your the latest number or emergency contact so emergency contact in the park is very important so you might reach out to the U the uh office there and let them know as well because that's so important we had some issues in where we had no emergency contact neither the park and that was really important we didn't know how to reach the next toin which was out of state so if you keep your information current that's so helpful as well so it we work with fire department police department all C recorded um any kind of you know situations maybe you need a wheelchair maybe you need some kind of um oxygen tank or something those are important factors in a lot of the uh emergency uh information that we provide on that sheet or you provide on that sheet so I was just I can drop file life cards that's updated information so file like you can just keep it right on the refrigerator so that's helpful we we have a database as well that we can actually maintain that and then we do share that with the fire department in the event of some situation because sometimes they don't have it at the park or even outside the park so the the file of life we have plenty of those and we are thankful for the ti as well as the sheriff's department to provide all that helpful information so it's really really important to keep your information updated to support the what said so the file I'll I'll do more about the pet in a second the file Al life is huge huge is like another statement um is of extreme importance and helpfulness I guess we La better term when we see that file life so again not only for yourselves but for thy neighbor having the file of life on the fridge is extremely helpful because when we go into these homes and say someone's short a breath or has chest pain they can barely talk as it is or the film is not there or um there's a language barrier like I counted the other night having that has all the information it's right on the fridge having and and having it on the fridge and that's a big thing not only with do not resuscitate orders but fly lives when we go in like we went to a uh sudden a few weeks ago that the party deceased but we looked on the fridge and there was the the DNR the do not resuscitate order so having your refrigerator fire life or any dnrs on the fridge is of utmost importance and extremely helpful for the fire department doesn't doesn't matter yeah somewhere on the fridge ideally within ey shot you know like you walk by as long as I mean sometimes like my fridge is not really aside because the cabinets I would put it obviously on the front but yeah yeah it could be anywhere could be anywhere getting back to the pets too and so examples like what we tell like the second graders or the third graders as far as the pets concerned because we do the same thing as they ask about pets and I know pets are extremely important like how many people have pets in here dogs cats um Birds whatever the case may be so my thing is pets are important we will go into a building for a pet I mean we'll go into the building anyway to put the fire out your pet will if possible will be saved by it it's that most important it's like a child we completely get it you know we all have pets but we always say don't go looking for them if you're walking by you know you have a fire something's wrong you call as you're calling 911 if you can grab your pet and go uh do it so if you want to take a split second to look to keep a door open even though that's something we also do not kind of recommend because by keeping the door open if you're feeding the fire you're uh again L of words you you you can get a draft going and that can keepy the fire so a lot of times like people to close doors but if you have a bedroom you know your cat's in the bedroom you have a fire in the kitchen if you can't find a cat and you know you need to get out close the bedroom door close the door right it's amazing how much how long a room can sustain not being um filled with smoke or clown fire if the door is closed that's what I'm trying to say so if that door is closed with the exception of the whole house burning chances are that pet honest God will be perfectly okay as long as the door is closed if you're if you leave your house real quick and you keep the front door open and you forget to close it you have a cat or dog chances are nine times out of 10 that animal will leave and then you'll just have to look for them outside but they will be okay few years ago uh yeah we had a fire and I walked in and we looking for the cat and we found the cat cat was fine and it was and the house was fully filled with smoke the cat was underneath the chair you know probably a little smoke imulation but we grabbed the cat because that was and that was we have enough Crews at that time uh to make the pet a priority we went next door to Penbrook I did the same thing there a I have a picture of myself and my buddy on Penbrook with the cat she had three or four cats I think so we the smoke was out of the the house it was it the garage fire but we looked for the cat for 45 minutes we found it cat was fine you know cat was fine that was but that was a priority with the exception of putting the fire out and our safety the pets come next so just so you know it's on a high priority where you get the stickers that say don't forget and then you write two dogs one cat and you put it on I mean we don't I have you I don't know where I that you order it fire prevention supplies like a website that we go through probably has them like I don't think we have any at the fire station yeah that's important it is well a lot of times what we'll do is we'll talk to the homeowner when we get on scene so not only with Personnel inside family members but also pets you have any family inside no again nine times out of 10 that homeowner is going to tell us yeah but I have a cat inside of a dog great that's all you need to knowf where do you think the dog and cat might be okay that'll be good so so a lot of times we're going to talk to the homeowner and ask them where that where that animal is so that's obviously the best yes I made my own sign put it on the front door C inside see that's a isue right there she like she likes her cat what's the cat's name Dexter Dexter I like the TV show so that's good right so Dexter's inside Dexter is just the just slightly well the importance of a human and we understand that so that's definitely a priority but her homemade side is great good initiative initiative well I we had a kitchen fire not really bad I grabbed two dog treats it was upstairs you know where I am ran to the door left the door open threw the treats out the dogs ran out shut the door I more important M so her treats we used we did that once the dog got loose but the dog was stuck underneath the deck so we brought food some kind of food I forget one of the guys grab some Tu wear yeah cuz it's one of the things to a dog's heart just like my heart is food Donuts coffee you know so yeah to get an animal out it's not a bad idea good tactic good tactic any other questions about the extinguishers all right okay sir I know you mention about one out a few years ago I how many people were here but we all met over at the fire station it was during the time when you could go out it it's good weather we all met over there for our meeting and the chief took us out back and actually had a fire home and he showed us how the use all of these with the fire going I wonder if sometime this early summer can check with you and see if you set up a time to all meet there and have a fire back to the station is that possible now absolutely y absolutely I think that would probably be good because that way you actually see the fire and actually use it yes we can you want to take we can still use these and I got some more on my truck outside there's just no fire you still want to do you still want to go outside and use them what's up to the people here time you have but I'd like to see us set up so that we could all meet over across the street sure there would be a regular meeting for all of us and the chief would know when that meeting would be and uh well I'm back you set the building on [Laughter] fire you [Applause] do y you there's some some type of machines they have our back maybe you know where they are and that's where they have the fires in these uh containers and all and they would we would use actually all of us would use it to put that fire out so I thought would be what's that you can arrange that with the chees absolutely y that's easy yes window access yes so they do make KNX boxes for residential places because we we have them for commercial occupancies but they do make them um I the applications are online where you can go to the fire department speak to Kendra I think we can give you an application and then it's a whole application form that you fill out and then you order it and then they send you the notch box so why don't you come into the station I think you could do it online either go online or if you're not going do that go to the station and see Kendra and she can get you a form how does that probably 15200 blocks yeah a little pretty penny I think yes I bought and it's not that much oh you did yeah you bought a box Lo yeah on the door oh oh oh that's a lot oh yeah so then the no I was say so the nox block that that we use which I think she's referring to is one that there's a there's one key one one type of key that everybody in the fire department has that opens up that box um and no matter what building it is in town whereas what you're talking about yeah that we we still have to try to open up and if we can't get the combination whereas I can go to any building in town with a nox box and use my one key and get get your key out no yeah yeah you can use it um you can buy it for residential something like that they average anywhere from 40 to $60 expensive those look a little bit of they have ones that are reinforced like some different yeah yeah absolutely I those I looked into that we purchase them through an association I forgot the name of it the state and they said to to contact our local fire yeah but I I'll I'll research it a little bit more okay anything else yes the house numbers special house numbers yes house num how we get them and we get themost house numbers all right so it is against the law it's illegal not to have um one of our house numbers you can be arrested you have a c so the house numbers are the reflective Blue House house signs that we have are very helpful I know I'm kind of being dramatic about it but I can't even overestimate underestimate how important they are and how easy they are to see at night so we sell them 20 bucks because they're not cheap uh we'll put the numbers on for you just come to the fire station and we can uh we can make it for you the house numbers the blue side you probably see on to the blue right I meant to bring a prop up but I forgot uh so yes combine fire it we'll make you some reflective house signs yes those are very because at 2 in the morning even when we're you know taking the sand out of her eyes yes and sometimes you can't see the house numbers on houses sometimes they may not have them in the mailboxes and trying to pinpoint I mean besides our GPS's and a lot of us know you know where the streets are but finding that specific house sometimes is a fill especially at 3 in the morning do you put usually on the mailbox post two simple screws you can go right on the post itself we have mail boxes on the opposite side of my street so my house the mailbox is over there my is that be that that should still work a lot of times we know that we know on so as long as we're like oh it's 23 right here then we know well there's no house there it's your house right there as long as we don't so with that that having the reflective sign will just stop us from Blowing by your house at 2 in the morning as long right there and then if there's a really big issue you know we'll see you right away or see something outside that's fine thank you for bringing it up yes animal signs yeah anything anything else we got Ken go outside thank [Applause] you field trip outside real quick give everybody a try so why don't why don't we do this why don't we be at the uh charging stations out back the elect be charging and then we'll go right to the woods how does that sound all right friend's excited great selling extinguishers what I do want more with sure he's not excited all right me every outside five minutes all right you won do that [Music]
