Uh this is our update on our on our landfill project. Uh generally speaking things are going very well. moving along at a at a good 28 00:09:57.040 --> 00:10:12.080 clip and we've made significant progress. So, oh, okay. So, um you've seen this slide before talks about um the project, the properties, the lots, um Pineless 29 00:10:12.080 --> 00:10:29.200 Commission or 100 foot corridor we have. And uh the lot on the bottom here was added by the township to accommodate this 100 foot corridor around the property for uh threat endangered species. is the redheaded woodpecker which everybody knows about. 30 00:10:29.200 --> 00:10:47.440 Uh I'm going the wrong way. There we go. So progress to get today. This is an image from a drone flight. This image is actually from Friday. So uh Chris, that's why it took me a while to get this finalized today. Um we've been doing periodic drone flights throughout. Uh the drone can take uh um depth images 31 00:10:47.440 --> 00:11:04.240 so it gets topography, track the progress of the project, etc. Um the construction of the landfill closure consistent with the remedial action work plan and the landfill closure plan is substantially complete. There's a punch list that the contractor has to do that the engineer came up with and they're 32 00:11:04.240 --> 00:11:20.240 going to they're going to finish finish that up this month. um the asbuilt report and the closure certification from the engineer. We're delaying that on purpose that we need to we can't finish that solid waste portion of the project out until the solar development 33 00:11:20.240 --> 00:11:37.600 gets a uh community solar award which is obviously important for the project and the benefits to the to the residents and the community. You'll see all this nice green growth here and I would like to say that that's from our seeding and our grass but it's not. Uh we got our 6 ines of top soil which covers the whole thing from another construction project in uh Debford. Uh sampled 20 something plus samples all clean very clean as far as chemicals go. But there 35 00:11:53.600 --> 00:12:10.160 was some seeds in there. So we got some crab grass and we got this velvet leaf. Velvet leaf is an invasive species. It's been mowed once. Uh we're going to mow it again. I don't know if we'll be able to mow this week because of the rain, but um uh mowing and then once it gets 36 00:12:10.160 --> 00:12:26.399 uh once the grass starts to take a little bit more, uh we'll treat it with an herbicide that just takes care of the velvet leaf. So, it's a process over the next several months to a year, the velvet leaf will dissipate and the and the grass will uh the grass, it's a grass mix that's obviously appropriate 37 00:12:26.399 --> 00:12:42.720 in the Pinelands, approved by the Pines Commission, etc. You guys probably have some experience with that. So, so that's uh one challenge we're dealing with, but not a very big uh big deal. Um I don't have a figure on locations yet, but uh the groundwater monitoring wells that we had to abandon to do the landfill 38 00:12:42.720 --> 00:12:57.600 closure work have now been replaced. We got new nice shiny monitoring wells in there. Uh the first uh post remedial groundwater sampling event is scheduled for the first week in September. No reason other than schedules of everybody, laboratory and sampling crew, 39 00:12:57.600 --> 00:13:13.279 etc. uh as I mentioned seeding is complete and stabilization or the growth of the of the uh uh grass uh and etc is underway. The actually the velvet leaf has helped. It grows pretty fast and it has helped with initial stabilization 40 00:13:13.279 --> 00:13:27.760 which is good to particularly with all these storms we're getting like the one we just had when I went down there to check on the landfill on the way here. There are swailes uh within the landfill area. They go to an inlet which then goes over to the different basins and um then the water gets into the basin and infiltrates. So I just wanted to show you that there's a structure here that uh holds back any significant sediment or anything that 42 00:13:44.959 --> 00:14:00.000 comes through and that needs to be cleaned out on that on routine basis over the over the life of the project as we go forward. Uh and I gave you a large scale of the schedule. Um you can see a couple things on here. Um the green line down the middle is where we are today. You can't really I know you can't see that because there's so much info on there. Um but so this is us today. These tests are all completed. The security fence is going in also the beginning of September. Again, based on the contractor schedule. Uh there's our first groundwater sampling event. Then we file the permit applications with the D and close out the site remediation portion of the project. So uh this handsome young gentleman that was sitting next to me right here is John Irvin. He's already worked a little bit with Robert and uh uh Emily Given office on some of the title action work as well as some of the interconnection work uh with Dan Lovelin. So, I just wanted John to come down and and get a lay of the land here in the U in the committee chambers and have you guys uh say see his face. This is our project in National Park uh New Jersey on a 53 acre landfill here is turned on uh uh last month and is generating power. So the solar portion. So, we we things are going very well with Atlantic City Electric. Hopefully, it'll go so well with the Pineless Commission when we file that 53 00:16:40.399 --> 00:16:56.079 application. Um, and we think we now have our point of interconnection finalized. It was a little bit of a of a delay with moving around on that and uh talk a little bit about that now. But our point of connection, you remember there's two projects because uh community solar can only be a max of 54 00:16:56.079 --> 00:17:11.520 five megawatts. We can fit about seven and a half on this project. So, it's a 5 megawatt project and a two and a half megawatt project. But one project was going to connect out at Noakqua. The other was going to connect at 19th Street. Atlantic City Electric said, "Well, no, it doesn't really work that way now because we changed things 55 00:17:11.520 --> 00:17:28.400 around. We'd like you to connect both projects over uh at the end of N 19th Street at the culde-sac." So, that's the plan. This was the initial plan which was to come here go through the corridor and just be right in this area because I'm still convinced it says in the CMP 56 00:17:28.400 --> 00:17:44.160 that you interconnection for solar is gets special dispensation but in our pre-application meeting um the finance commission said there's no way that they're going to allow this. So we had to switch gears. Uh we looked at um horizontal drilling uh underground 57 00:17:44.160 --> 00:18:00.240 drilling which is how we're going to get across the corridor. We initially had talked to um um uh ACIT as I mentioned and um um I'll talk a little bit about that. We won't get into all the details but um so the 58 00:18:00.240 --> 00:18:15.919 next step once we get this uh the final design finalized is our finance commission private development app. Then we come into the township the planning board for uh or land use board for uh site plan application. Once those things are both filed, we can go in for our 59 00:18:15.919 --> 00:18:31.440 solar community solar community solar application and uh once we get the pylons approval back, we'll submit a closure plan modification. That's not a big deal that they already know about that. That's coming. It's the finance commission, as we all know, usually 60 00:18:31.440 --> 00:18:47.679 takes a little bit of time. So, this is the layout of the project. The interconnection now is both going to go over this way. And here's what we were initially thinking. Again, coming up here, what we've changed it to is putting some of our equipment here, some of the privately 61 00:18:47.679 --> 00:19:03.120 owned equipment that would connect on a pad right here, uh, coming up this way, and then directionally drilling across under the corridor this way. Um, we've had several meetings and presentations with Dan Lovelin of MUA, uh, because on 62 00:19:03.120 --> 00:19:18.799 the other side, a little bit of a closeup here, on the other side of the corridor, so this is the corner of the landfill property. This is a blow up of the culde-sac and there's a 30-foot easement that runs down here and there are two lines. One's a pressure water line and one is a gravity feed. And there's an existing, you can't really see right here, but it is on this on this drawing. There's an existing um Oh, here it is. Right here, that circle. There's an existing uh telephone pole or utility pole. I also spoke with uh Richard about that. He's aware of that and doesn't think that that'll be an issue. U again we hope there's no above ground equipment there. They didn't like that from an aesthetic standpoint. They were worried about the health effects on the students. we pointed out that they have the same equipment on the property already right closer to this anyway. Uh the underground drilling might cost a little bit more but it's pretty much of a wash. So, that's kind of the plan we're with. We're now doing the detailed design with the electrical engineers of how what where the conduit is, what it looks like, how that's going through, what the pads all look like, where the area is that needs to be addressed. Um so that's that. Um, they need to be added to the redevelopment agreement. I have been working with Miss Given on that. So that's happening as well kind of behind the scenes.
