##VIDEO ID:UNIvMNDeRfA## down according call the meeting to order please U this is a meeting of the hamon select board being held in the townhouse Auditorium on February 4th 2025 at 10:00 a.m. this meeting is being conducted in person and remotely using video conferencing technology there is a quum of the board of selectman here Mr Flynn is on Zoom please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance Pledge one na godible for all thank you everyone for being here is anyone recording the meeting other than ourselves Kristen rivers from the wilam Camden times is good morning Kristen uh so the first item on I just want to put a couple of things up of Interest put up the i i this is from the um this is from the hamton Centennial Siler program of 1978 just quickly let we get started here got it yeah all right I just thought this about the townhouse I thought this was interesting that it said uh 1978 in the in the svanir booklet it said actually it was was a townhouse which made ham then uh suddenly changed from a small community Village to typical suburb of Springfield and then they make the comment For Better or Worse we thank Mrs sessiones for her generous gift so I don't know if that's a prophetic statement or a sarcastic statement but for Better or Worse those bir years ago and the next the next one is the U is the Gazebo which is now still in front of thoron Burg's school but it's a terrible disrepair and uh the Lions Club had made that for the town was there hope that uh that the project would they completed it and that the town would use it for many years but it's a disrepair but I think if we move the townhouse there now we repair that it'd be a good place to have band concerts and things like that like a lot of the other towns do trying to get um just side note I'm trying to get uh this girl scout in town to do her Gold Award to repair that thing but I haven't she hasn't really been to a lot of initiative yet but I'm trying to prod her into towards that project anyway or we can get it done it'd be great yeah all right the first item we have is the um fire station has got a fire station concept presentation you have a presentation ch or Mark you got the you got their things you probably need to be near a microphone yeah come on anything but what anything but I have the yeah consultant sent yeah the thing to consultant sent good so we just got from The Architects basically I want to call it a preliminary draft um which we just got a couple weeks ago and although you know certainly wanted to be here to bring you guys up to speed on where we're at we as a building committee haven't even met yet on this so we literally have the first draft from the architectural firm um with a potential ideas taking in you know all the input that they've had from their site visits you know from previous work that's done um we have our building committee meeting scheduled for tomorrow which again will sit down as a group um we've already looked at this there's certainly some tweaks and changes already we know we want to make um as far as flow goes and um you know and from that point obviously it's kind of a refining process so we literally have just got the first rough draft from the architect after their site visit um and again conceptual is is it's way in its infancy certainly at this point we don't even have a a design that we want to present to anybody yet because we've got to go through the process um you know hence we wouldn't have any numbers at this point I know that's obviously an important part is what are we looking at obviously what we've been trying to look at what we are looking at is using the existing fire station you know utilizing as Absolut as much of it possible you know there's ideas you know going left going up going back again we're in the process of trying to come up with that design then obviously to bring to you know to go through the vetting process process and you know have everybody weigh in on so again we're we haven't haven't met as a building committee yet we just got the plan from The Architects so and we're meeting tomorrow as a group do you think you're going to have something for the town meeting that's our goal our goal is um again you know they've been pretty responsive as far as turning stuff around um getting stuff back you know changes so again that is our goal to be able to have something for us you know for town meeting this spring can you share that hold on a minute sure this is from Monday There's an email from Jeff from y Jeff from from Monday Y is that something that can be shared that attachment or no oh again again this is the draft we haven't even met as a building committee yet to go over that so some of the people in the committee might not have even seen that yet again it's it's a draft okay you want me to share it or yeah fine absolutely absolutely but again this is the understanding that's exactly that draft number one it's the first thing we've seen back from them yep that that would work that would work so without seeing obviously the existing sort of station layout um as kind of a reference if you look in sort of the Middle where it says res one and T1 those two trucks right there that's sort of the exist from that point is sort of the existing station right so we're talking about in this proposal where the to the right of that or to the top of that would be new new Bays there and then what you see kind of on the left side of it basically it's a big box right now we've kind of squared it off and gone back a little bit um and then there is a um again where in the Middle where it says rescue one and T1 there is second floor that they're proposing in that area there to gain square footage so again this is the draft this is what they've come up with um there is a lot you can kind of see there's a ton of little rooms we're we're in the point now we're trying to again utilize the space and maximize flow there's some of these things here won't work um or we don't think will work we're going to go back to them and kind of re you know kind of get rid of some of the wasted spaces here but again this is our first the first draft we got from the you said there was a second floor yeah what they have there's I don't know if you've got that page or not oh I can look for it right but yeah basically there's a a second level that they that they had to get again gaining some square footage for space is that just storage space or is that it it again it could it could be variety of spots I they have the gym up there they have um day room up there they have future future potential bunking area if that became a necessity they've got showers it's it's space there's going to be Mechanicals up there yeah um and one of the reasons you know we sort of you know looked at that too is some of the equipment you know like for instance engine one the cab goes up right now you got to do all that stuff outside being able to have that raised inside and work on it for PM stuff is is has that ability yeah that would be perfect so there yeah there you go that's the slide showing again that sort of middle section of the station with again space needs to be reconfigured they that would be the second floor second floor correct potential second floor and again we've talked to them about doing things in phases as you know getting the space to also have for future needs too that's that's an important part of this should address egress on that as well if you have a future you'll need to have another way out if you're going to have people sleeping in that just sure so you're aware yep and again this is literally the first thing and they don't even have dimensions on this is really the sort of schematic you mention people y so it always ends up like that sure would it be would it would it would would it have an elevator question we've asked so again it's not we're not although we probably wouldn't have would have abl firefighters but have you might have administrative people s slide any right right I know you have a pole to slide down but it P to go up no we did ask that question again not sure if the area now this is obviously area that wouldn't be accessible by the public is that different when you have it just would it be for fire Personnel you know would you need to have an elevator so again questions been asked of them already Mark when years ago when the capital planning kind of looked at at some of the stuff the fire department was doing there were there were a couple of questions oh is that pretty there's a couple questions that needed to be answered before you could figure out building needs as far as what the mission was the fire department was going forward one was are we ever going to go beyond a first shift in the near future I.E do we need uh do we need a day room do we need a bunk space if we're not going to have a first shift and are we in the ambulance business or not have those questions been answered by the selectman or the department so that you know for sure what your future is I don't think every one of those has been answered but maybe to to to dial it back is a lot of the space work you know whether we have even a full shifter who are still you know all call or volunteer some of these spatial needs are just safety considerations and bring things up oh sure sure um I think to answer your question on sort of the ambulance part of it um you know I don't think it's been addressed 100% but regardless some the town of handon will needs an ambulance regardless of who staffs it who supplies it and runs it so one of the things again when they're designing fire stations is also often times fire stations house and ambulance no matter who runs it so you know the question you know trying to look forward to is could this be a landing spot for whoever runs the ambulance that's hard I remember when we did the police station right they they spent money to have an ambulance hook up there and then of course it never got used correct so you know I just try to get that uh my second question is as far as you know because it concerns this building yeah is the footprint the ground the parking area on adequate for what we're doing or do you need more land not sure yet again because it with the design change could change like right now where we sort of have it is we would be adding more parking probably in the back again we've got to do some you know serious sort of site work we we know excuse me going off to the right is going to be into the bank we know we we know it's again it's it's not the greatest site but we're trying to work with as much I don't know yet as an acceptable answer I just wanted to get that right but it's it's absolutely a concern you know would we have enough space thanks Mark Y is there a Decon space in there mark yep there C there certainly is there is an area designated for Decon um you know we've done as a group some you know looking at other stations talking look physically seeing what they have for space and that was one of the areas like Deon here they have what seem to be more space than we would need so you know went over to wilham this past week again they have a Decon area but it could be probably half the space again we're we're now trying to refine this to give us we want to have the things that a fire station needs to have to be safe to operate um but also not to have wasted space that that's space is a premium so yeah that Decon area little little deceiving because things aren't in there like washers dry or showers it's kind of an open box but that that particular amount of space is probably more than a Decon area need you just need to have a spot get that first slide back the first one up yeah basically which is that slide was kind of plugging in the uh apparatus maybe demanding aren't you we go there you go yeah that was the first one going along with what he said about the future th Department you got the vehicles penciled in there and I see you have the ambulance what's ant1 is that the an anti yep that's the antique okay the question that was asked years ago when this was was first brought up was what's the purpose of having those two vehicles parked inside the building that's a lot of square footage and I know it's it's a design concept but it certainly is a place that if nobody else challenges it I'll certainly challenge what's the need for that because it wasn't just it wasn't cleared up to us at the in the capital committee years ago I don't see where anything's changed and obviously I know the selectman's got to give you guys got to give get some clear-cut Direction but the last I keep hearing on the ambulance there was no indication that we would ever bring it back into town service now no no ever is is something that changes that's that's just basically what what the town residents heard was the ambulance is farmed out it's always going to be farmed out with with the exception of the ambulances every vehicle there one you already have none of them are Futures there's no expansion R there right that you know you talk about taking the should the antique be there it's got to be somewhere and at least it gives you a spot for hey Homeland Security just gave us a truck you know so okay yeah it's just space at least um Mr Flynn do you have any comments want unmute John yeah did you unmuted well I mean it's a great first shot uh personally I think it's maybe a little large what we need I am concerned about the space between the right away to the North and the projected costs I go back to Dick's comment and back to that as well have we really made a determination of you know the the path forward for the fire department you with the ambulance Etc but it's a good first start any other comments on thank you thank senior cator sir Senior Center um we met with the selectman after the V of town meeting uh believe in December um and without clear Direction uh we the building committee met in January to begin trying to figure out what our mission was quite frankly um and what we settled on is that the senior center needs are not going away there's some immediate uh maintenance needs that need to occur in the next year or two and so we began and again this is just preliminary based upon our discussions uh during this meeting but we focused on one the bathroom upgrades now we're not talking the half million doll bathroom upgrade that we talked about ear earlier if we were to do that it means moving walls losing program space possibly the Library without expanding the the senior center so we're not going to do that but the bathrooms do need to be upgraded the toilets need to be replaced with higher toilets we have grab bars that need to be put in uh the um stall panels need to be replaced probably paint um better ventilation in there and also lighting upgrade uh for the the bathrooms so that was our first look and we feel that's one of the most immediate needs storage as we've talked about um way back when 2 and a half years ago when we started this um we began talking about storage cabinets on the walls um in the craft room possibly in the bage room so that um the things that the craft people need won't be on the floor won't be on tables they'll be on walls we'll buy some cabinets and we'll we'll uh upgrade our storage in that respect fact that Thornton Burgess may be available for uh legal and long-term storage for some of the files would be helpful to get it out of the hallways where it is now uh the third thing is window replacement um quite frankly um power washing then the senior center results in uh offices getting sprayed and they are very energy and efficient we're not talking about looking at uh total replacement we're looking at the standard windows that are around the building not the stained glass not the uh specialty windows at this point one of the members of the committee has a very good friend that's uh with Harvey windows and he is going to come and and and get us a price that we can uh then begin to make make certain um one other thing point out is that the parking lot is getting dangerous um speaking with the highway superintendent he has indicated he is willing and probably has put on the schedule for Paving um the parking lot it would be a Mill and overlay it's not a complete um reconstruction because it's not necessary but certainly to Overlay it and Mill it and overlay it uh would give us another 25 plus years over there as part of that when the septic system was um reviewed and passed with flying colors the uh inspector did note that there were a couple of minor things that need to be done uh with the parking lot if it's going to be paved there are covers uh covers on the grease traps covers on the septic system that have settled over the last 25 years they need to be adjusted before Paving takes place um the septic tank should have an effluent filter placed on it and the uh vent pipe has become unstuck and needs to be uh fixed um again minor improvements but probably somewhere in the range of around $5,000 to to do that kind of work um the other point was washer dryer quite frankly the staff has been taking home uh the um table coverings and the Linens when they have formal dinners and doing the washing and drying themselves so we think at this point it' be something we would like to see as part of the overall maintenance which would include some Plumbing uh internally that would have to be done um we didn't include or again this is just our first pass at this so you know we didn't include the roof we didn't include the HVAC replac and we didn't include lighting upgrades uh we will be pursuing possibly grants for lighting upgrade but in talking with the Town Administrator it's a public entity if we were a private residential and we probably have a much much better chance of getting a grant and Grant monies um but we will pursue it um so you know we did talk to our local legislators year and a half ago about grants trying to uh come up with dollars and cents to be saved by the taxpayers and uh quite frankly um didn't go very far uh we will go revisit it though as I say so with those four potential upgrades we'd ask for a warrant AAL place we still will look further at refining it but it rough numbers and this is my number this is not something we've gotten in estimates um from people but we're probably looking in the range of about $100,000 to $125,000 to do those not including the parking area that would just be the windows the bathrooms septic and the washer dryer in there um we have a meeting Monday we'll start to fine-tune or talk more about um you know uh where we're at and getting uh some more estimates in Becky's having the plumber come in in the next couple weeks to give us a number on the bathrooms and and that kind of thing um and if there was a will to increase that number we certainly would look at the roof it's 25 years out but again our Our concern is we heard the uh will of some of the people in town about not spending money so um if I recall the roof was about 150 I mean right about 170 170,000 year and a half ago you know so yeah yeah I would say the maintenance of the building is not what was in question Gary if it's 100 grand for the roof to me that's the longer you put that off the more money it's going to cost okay so get a roofer to look at it and give you an evaluation um the Linens coming out of the restaurant business way back when have you looked at just leasing that out because there's probably not a restaurant in town that has tablecloths that washes them themselves you can get them cleaned a lot cheaper than doing that yourself okay that's something we lighting you got fluoresence in there now yes I I re lit 100,000 foot building went to LEDs you don't need grants but you save electricity you pay for the lights we'll include it then just just get a quote on the get a quote on the lights and get a quote the guy will tell you what you're going to save electricity M and I'd almost guarantee you you'll pay for those lights in two years okay what's the status on the ha track how bad is that it's it's it's functional at this point um we have hot rooms and cold rooms that need to be tweaked internally which we're thinking about doing but the overall system is 25 years and it labors quite frankly it labors uh it for heating and it labors for for cooling was it natural gas yes yeah we've had a couple of furnace repairs oh yeah a motor we had to replace that fire department that one point is it hot air ducted hot air lot hot air over well I was going to make a joke about the hot cold zones about knowes but aren't there uh power companies that come out and do upgrades for free for the save of power and maybe window upgrades also we T when we talked originally there were no uh programs available for public Mass Save Mass Save is all yeah a good try yeah and and we are out there but um you know I think just to be on on straight out with everybody um from what we've heard we probably we wanted to get the dollar started and thinking no I understand going with I just throwing it out there maybe there is if there is we can out save a book and you get more rights yep okay Gary did the the friends of the senior center originally had you know committed some money to the original project that they committed any money to this or no they are not allowed under their bylaws okay under the bylaws they can fund programs um but um the monies that they were committing um in under the bylaw it is for expansion good yeah John do you have anything to add I think well going forward I me we need do the uh constant maintenance for it to keep the building up in shape this is all you know gearing towards making sure the programs are adequately supported and that the people that go in have a facility they can be proud of you I I think I'm just going to say that the building has been well maintained okay I'm going to just speak to that and I think what you're seeing is that in the past 25 years there has been advances in Energy savings and things of that nature and what you heard was um these were maintenance and if I correct me if I'm wrong in other words a blower motor might have moved with books replaced so the original furnace is still in there so um yeah so the original furnace is still there but it's 25 years old and where where do you make that cut off and another thing is is that as Gary said you have rooms that are hot some that are cold now do you take that forced hot air system and then start to Zone it um so you take care of those areas um so we'll see what happens um again with the shift in climate change um I think there becomes more demand on um air conditioning maybe than heating so there's there's some issues that have changed environmentally that would then change the system changes just the last time we met I asked if you guys had talked about you know having a presence at twb if you were opposed to that and you guys hadn't met on that yet and talked about it and you thought you might do that at your next meeting did you guys discuss you know a possible Presence at twb if we were to move over there something we can talk about um we have not talked about it you know again uh splitting staff and add probably would have to add staff if we do but it's not just even a space where you know you can do you know the nail clippings or whatever you guys need to do just having a presence over there at tww doesn't necessarily need to be staffed maybe but I was just I asked that question last time me you guys there was no answer about yes or no because you hadn't met on it yet so interesting to know about the the feeling behind the people and what their feelings are storage need some even if it's just a storage need whatever yeah and and we talked about that maybe Becky wants a an office off site some I'm thinking about staying here dick some of the programs were based on outside people doing it oh yes so those would be the programs possibly might have a fit yeah where you wouldn't necessarily need to have a staff there's you know there's a room available dedicated space who knows a dedicated space know there's again we'll look at it without a doubt but there's a logistics issue too about people that go for lunch and the program and that kind of thing moving back and forth there a walking pth between we're going to put a zip line in Z off cart what percentage of the users Drive do you know the percentage of users that drive to the to the we don't we're going to you want to move on to on you know the percent just just is it's probably 85% yeah all right thanks um Thon Burg's update that's you so um I had the meeting uh the followup meeting with time Bond and we've uh created a second version of the uh space layout for the building uh we have uh Reserve I've reserved two times to visit with staff next week to walk through the building to try to ground truth what's what we've done while not in the building within the building to see what makes sense and we'll make additional edits based upon really what make sense in those conversations uh the title five so so the the septic investigation was done on January 17th I believe they were out there and and B you said it was a a conditional pass because they needed to put a a cover on a electrical on electric circuit yeah they needed otherwise I'm waiting for the written report back y so that's that's the status of the septic the water there is is a public water source so it's regularly tested and one of the concerns that that that they're dealing with right now is is posos levels um within the from the well there um it will like record some level of filtration to bring that uh within the the allowable range um so are you saying there is um posos yep and it's out everywhere specifications uh uh okay so what's happening now is the the 20 is the is the limit now EPA is proposing to change that to three um so it's between 20 and three it is okay and every year it's going down okay changing and it's dropping yeah so it's it might be a seasonal thing carbon filter on the whole building would take care of it carbon filters take care of people fast correct yep so that would be a upgrade we would need to make for that um in let the other things for twb um in terms of um it stuff I met with uh the IT director of The District um and uh him resident Scott Thomas he works for Wally Computer he's a network engineer for Wally Computer we walk through the building with uh the IT director and we identified what we would need to make that it Network functional for the town and it's in pretty good shape um I think the highest priority need is they have 10 uh switches Cisco switches in the building currently they're over 10 years old there's a grant opportunity to get those replaced the grant is actually due at the end of this week um so we'll put in for that and the other need would be wireless access points the district is going to take um the wireless access points that are currently installed um they're going to take those back um so that's that's pretty much what we would need for that other things that are still on the list to do um they're going to be removing whatever type of electronic access system they have currently within the building um so we'll need to uh find a replacement for that um depending on what the board wants to do in terms of the level of cameras um we currently work with Valley Communications here we'll reach out to Valley Communications and try to get them um into the building hopefully in the next couple weeks um they also need to get quotes on what it would cost to uh move over there and related to earlier conversations we had I want to get um an energy consultant over there to walk through the building the lighting is old there um you know a lot of the a lot of the mechanical are older there so we definitely need to address lighting and I want to see what um what those costs would be to upgrade um the lighting um currently right now there there's there's limited um heat pump mini splits in in certain locations that that's something else that we might need to address moving forward um we did and I don't remember if this was before or after our previous meeting we did receive uh advice from legal councel that that um we should vote to repurpose um we should vote to repurpose the purpose from which for which the for which was the school um and that would take a two-third vote at the annual town meeting what am I missing put your thing up sure that'll be the library one I'll change it defin one the other what I'm defin one again the other this was the revised way layout that's revision this is revision number two of the layout okay yep still some some tweaks we want to make with it but um per a document storage here parks and wck here Library space here um some unused space over here um so if there's a need for you know if there's a storage need or a need for space for the Senior Center there's there should be adequate space that that could be made available um and again there's the idea here was to work within the existing layout these offices will be larger um divided at some point they could be divided the idea is to work within theist layout to keep cost down initially at least I asked Ellen I asked Ellen to give us a idea how she would use the library space So yeah so you have your Hightech Hightech hand out here High presentation so um we this is our updated one we looked at the space and what we could use it for and we wanted the best use of space um so for our needs the children's room down at the bottom in the middle is um wonderful for Kate because there's a partition but it's not there so she can have the library aspect of it but then she can do her programs in the um the classroom next to it it'll be open so she's already thinking about how she's going to set things up the teen space will be um to the left of it and there's a door which um line of sight is very important for us so Kate could check on that and then in the Middle where I circled with that little star is the doors for the three different areas so it'll be important um for us to be able to see what's going on in those other rooms um and we um talked with the friends about the rodford reading room relocation and they're happy with the space that they have um I went on our Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners website and they have a document about ADL ADA compliance for libraries it's pretty long um so what I'd like to do as we designate a space make sure it's ADA Compliant when we move into it um because that's very important for me and everyone um it'll be nice to have it all on one level and you know it might change a little bit depending on how things work out but right now this everyone really likes this setup um and it'll also be nice um for ease of access to people for the to be in the front of the building because we have a lot of traffic um our deliveries from CW Mars the lift is of and broken we get deliveries every day the guy has to come up with boxes of books we do around 8,000 inter Library loans a year it's a lot of books to be dragging up the stairs so if we can make it so that you know he has easy access that would be wonderful I asked him are we the worst building on his route and he said yes when the lift is working it's great but um he doesn't mind as much but last week I think on Thursday we got 11 bins and that's a lot of bins piled up way higher than us um so I'm looking forward to being able to tell him that there won't be any stairs that he has to deal with anymore do this give you more space it does yep and um right now so if you'll see the the room next to the children's room that would be programming for children's and teen children and teens which would be nice um for bigger events like our Halloween party's a big event um we might still have to use the auditorium over there for like our summer reading party cuz we have like a 100 people attend that um but it will be really nice to be able to have everything contained in one space um and um this is what we have so far so if anyone wants to look at this um ADA compliance it's really interesting and um you know I want to abide by it as we move in so it'll be all done because right now we're nowhere near a a compliant in our it's some areas are but there's a lot that isn't so accessibility is very important for everyone so okay any any comments questions so it seems like that space has access into every damn Corridor around it so that's going to have to be controlled if you're going to have different access zones right I like this access control I think that Brian put in I'm not sure who put that so like on a Saturday you'll come in here and you'll only have access to the library can you point to the screen cuz we can't see what you're pointing at the table show um see the blue the dots so that those I assume will be doors so it's the library is cut off from the rest of the building so the library entrance will be over to the right so people will park there and come in there and they won't be able to access the rest of the building on like Thursday nights were open till 8 and Saturdays were open 10 to two well you have doors to you have a door to the hallway across my Cemetery you have a door in the back and all that's going to have to be taken into consideration well they can lock it I guess what I'm saying yeah know you're limiting the fire exits too by one entrance I don't know how that goes we got to ask our fire guys maybe it's the access control should automatically open our fire right well that's true maybe it's an alarm door instead again this PO area have to be worked out but it should be a minimum of two right I agree and we want to do what's the right thing to do so for a regular day all the entrances on the top and the side will be closed like I want people to just come in that Central room and have the doors for the the teen in the children's area all in that line of sight kind of like what we have here so your main entrance is to the left of the word restroom correct okay Y and then those other doors are right there in that Circle I see it would be your main entrance into the library but you're going to have to have the the upper part open or unlocked for emergency purposes okay maybe yeah we'll do whatever we need to doent will we be hiring like a facility manager for this whole building like Access Control moving I hope so moving all the access controls and handling all that CU that takes time to have a building manager my God cough drops any other comments Ellen and I did meet uh we did have a telephone conversation with uh the IT director for CW Mars and essentially what all that they need is a there's an existing uh Charter or Spectrum uh fiber into the building currently that all they need is a all they need is the the fiber connection into the building and they can do the rest they can provide internet services exactly the same as they do here for the library um can they hook hand a fiber already comes up wam Road are no yeah there's Charter from the fiber optics running up and down werham road I don't know how far it goes but it go at least go wam John would you know they hooked the police department in it oh they hooked us uned he can I'm pretty sure I'm pretty sure that the school department did a dark fiber connection between all their buildings so there's definitely fiber coming down werham Road from the main office whether or not that could be repurposed to our fiber that's a question cut their budget we'll get it State Eva State computers would also have to look it does now yeah I I sent an email to EV I want to coordinate with um yeah the the state whoever that is there to make sure that those get transferred over okay all right all right we're making some progress here uh the only thing I keep in sorry just one question um Brian if we send you an email would you send the uh second round uh or the revision of the building spatial layout that uh tyan bond has done okay thank you yeah it's been shared with staff so done Connie's got to con I think around 7,000 is that close Brian I see five eight I see about eight 8,000 at least 8,000 okay double the size of we're going to make really good use of the space that's a they showed us all in here four departments yeah well just the fact that we have to make things ADA Compliant takes up a lot of space yeah so we're moving but spreading out a little bit because like for example up in our library where we have the adult fiction the um it's not wide enough and when you get to the end if someone was in a wheelchair they couldn't go around it so we're going to be it's going to be nice and spread out and good for people who need space or and wheelchairs because we do have people who come in wheelchairs and they come up the lift when it's working um so it'll be very nice to have that space to be compliant okay so we're making some progress the uh we need some the we're going to close the where our plan is to close the U the the the warrant onor about March 1st March 1st the thing so if we can get some some at least some wording I mean the dollar figure we can get a little bit later on but we need some wording for each of these things these projects and uh we like to get that in and I guess we can schedule our next meeting for shoot I'm sorry I just wanted to say one more thing um with regard to moving um there are moving companies that specialize in moving libraries but I would like to see the moving people who move the rest of the building move everything but the books from our library and then have um they're actually out of um the place that everybody uses Out of Three Rivers they specialize in um relocating libraries cuz there's no point in having their specialized people move like desks you know what I mean so um I'm going to have to have a site um survey done with them so hopefully that will be less cost because they'll just be moving the books in the shelves everything else I would like to see moved when the rest of this building is moved so I'm glad I asked the all the directors in CW Mars and this place was highly recommended and they're so close I already reached out to her but she said she needs to do a site survey of both so when we get that chance thanks um well you need more shelf space in other words uh I don't think so um I also need to get in there it'll be interesting to see what they left there's Library shelves there now there are some and we're going to reconfigure things so that we don't have the bottom shelf for um so it's going to be we're going to be a little wider so I think we'll be okay it'll all depend on the walls if we can put shelves against the walls I don't know if we can mount them to the walls I remember the um custodian saying that might be an issue right so if we have to have freestanding shelves we might need to buy a couple but I think we're in pretty good shape for the most part how about furniture would you be looking for um you know the only thing we're um looking for is one table for the children's room and um possibly new chairs for ourc in area in the main library but everything else we have cuz we redid the um Young Adult Space so everything there is on Wheels it's awesome to be able to be flexible with that and then to have the these guys come in and move the big shelves um we'll make it nice is there Furniture left in the building from students do we have to deal with that when could that be used in the library yeah I want to see what they left because there are there's like an office if they left repurpose it white buy it definitely repurpose it and I would like to suggest that anyone who when they get to their office if people if stuff is left there and they're not using it move it to like the auditorium to see if anyone else can use it you know I'm before you move on um has any do we have any new information that we're going to be using to determ in the future of this building it's our last meeting okay just but just slot machines no no table games we did have an informal review of the septic system right because we had to get it correct um pretty rough shape Yep this building yes any other thing March March 4th Mar fourth look everybody same time you want all the Departments here again yeah okay anybody cares you're off on Tuesday yeah that's I'm kind of dressed casual it's okay I can 10 on that I can come in the LI electrical good sarce for contractors is just called the supply house okay call Grangers you call grer and say who's your electric who's your lighting guy and they'll give you the list of the best contractors thank you I was just wondering whether if they're going to be doing a review of twb whether we could piggyback that yeah I if they're coming in have a look at the gym lights too I don't know if we can do that or not but those things are pretty terrible anything else motion to adjourn John so move on Mr chair second all in favor I I good thank you presentation have a good one just kill Zoom you who was your Quorum in the meeting time remember the first time I ran into
