representative reports from buer middle school we have L and folks and Jessica lambing the boulder Middle School winter sports team have begun we have our cheerleaders boys and girls basketball teams and wrestling teams starting their season now the student council organized what they call a white elephant event for the eighth grade students to be held on Friday period 1 there were several rules for this event such as you need to sign up to participate by a certain date to receive a gift you must enter the media center with the gift there will be a price limit Etc students are excited to participate the eighth grade officers held a goodie bag fundraiser where all students of Faculty could purchase a little bag filled with candy canes and other seasonal treats for themselves or to give to someone special the Multicultural Club continues to have monthly meetings with lots of fun activities and delicious food the Dr the drama club allowed eighth grest to audition for the Kingsburg High School play Evil Dead the musical The Joseph all Middle School band had a holiday performance on December 10th and the entire audience enjoyed it our school had its annual holiday shop last week where everyone could purchase gifts for their family members or for themselves at a very low discounted price they were having fun looking at all the items that were available for sale Boulder's new e e gaming Club is a big success it held it is held daily after school where students have the opportunity to to compete against other schools in the area this week is school spirit week each day of the week is designated with a theme for the day for example the first day of the week was called Mary Monday and students were asked to wear the colors red and green pictures were taken of students who participated and their photograph will be in the yearbook the culmination of spirit week will end with a pep rally on Friday everyone at buer is looking forward to the holidays and vacation time we would like to wish everyone a very happy holiday enjoy the time with family and friends we will see you back next year in 2025 thank you thank you [Applause] thank you to our Boulder rips and from the high school we have Lindsay Rivera and Cameron sby evening everyone December has been a busy and exciting month at Kingsburg High School it began with us announcing our teacher of the year support staff of the year and Educational Service professional of the year with that being said we want to congratulate Miss bony miss lowski and miss King for all they do for our Kingsburg High School Community yesterday we kicked off Spirit Week With pajama day and our annual cookie Wars competition Mr broy Mr Reed Mr Manos Miss D Martino and our food service manager Mr ditel judged to had the most delicious homemade cookies out of our students and teachers Mr folks and Bella Fernandez claimed Victory with their incredible cookies Spirit Week will continue throughout the week this week including our annual door decorating contest and our beloved Iceberg games which will will occur at our winter pep rally on Friday winter sports are in full swing our wrestling team won their first try today to open their season big congratulations to coach Anderson who got his first and second varsity win in his head coaching debut our bowling team has already acquired two victories so far this season and both our boy and girl basketball teams kicked off their season tonight the Esports team is up and running with a committed group staying after practicing and getting ready for their UPC upcoming competition other news report as you all know art Titan 5K was last month but it needs to be mentioned that we raised over $3,500 for Tunnels for Towers which obviously is a huge win for the incredible organization please also save the date of our annual pocketbook Bingo and gift auction which will begin on March 14th if anyone is interested in donating for the event please contact Diana Lopez as you can see we are non-stop at Keb high school but we want to take a minute to wish everyone a Wonder upcoming holiday season and happy New Year thank you to our high school Representatives sample one that they gave us for Co that we fill in pretty much everything so we have a lot to choose within this one whereas the usual ones we don't so we don't really know so we need to go about it my thunder so we'll talk about the winter sports I have a question hopefully someone if e Sports have a home game how do we watch them very question yeah so in the past there was an option that we could kind of Zoom it and that so some schools do it that way too where you can like zoom in and watch through that aspect I don't know if we have that set up yet to do um as we have a new person doing it this year but um I could definitely ask them if they sure I know how to get to the bowl and Alley I know how to get to the gym wrestling match are you asking specifically like if you can go in person to watch if you I don't know we can ask yeah I mean it is like a small it's like in a classroom so the the space isn't huge but like not everybody gets to play at like a match so basically the other people that are on the team cure on those that are you know competing at that like that specific de I have another silly question what kind of games do they play and I don't a big one is Super Smash Brothers sorry I don't play it's Mario characters and stuff like that they fight each other yeah that's on Nintendo it's every like character from Nintendo basically really but they do all different ones there is Mario Kart that's one yeah where they race everything else that was number one Brook Community College has a big eorts program but they have combined that because of exactly the question Mr Hoff's asking is how do we watch this that they are essentially doing close to a radio television film type broadcast that they have a whole group of students that are not the Esports people that are not interested necessarily in video games but are actually broadcasting and uh producing the whole video and the YouTube feed of the people that are playing so they're learning how to to do the other side of this which is how I think you it's a billion dollar industry right there a club you know and then puts them up for anything else that they want to okay um an amazing day today we've had U cuso school sing two sessions I only made one but it was an amazing job say I yeah but an outstanding job amazing job pass on to the teachers good luck to our retirees um how come we didn't give out Awards tonight for the teacher of the year support staff it's after we still the district it's usually January okay well congratulations I look forward that's one of my favorite times of the year um so in yesterday's paper as Park mess as I call free old school districts looking for $137 million for upgrades and everything else I kind of feel bless that we did everything under grants security doors under grants and then the stuff we just approved today I don't think they're going to get approved we talking about security and we're ahead of the game I know when we look at the line and what it cost everybody but now they're going I don't know what they do with their grants but they didn't spend that like we did I'm kind of proud of that because even though they say it's only going to be $37 to the average tax person but I don't know malan I voted that voted that resolution down we are ahead of the game so that kind of puts a smile on my face that everyone's come and lay for the table and we're already here um if nobody has a place to go on Christmas you can come to my house Andor you can go to the Episcopal Church in Asbury Park 503 Asbury they be feed from 12: to 2 Santa will be there as well uh for families they give out gifts um the Board of Ed gave it um donation for Christmas the project PA so and on behalf of my family to your family to everybody out there in the audience merry Christmas happy New Year uh whatever holiday you celebrate I wish you the best thank you thank you Mr Melle you have anything I just want to say congratulations to the re myces thank you Mrs relle you have anything I just want to HCK you back on what you said I intended one session today and the kids were great they were very excited and they did a wonderful job happy holidays everyone thank you Mr M you have just my condolences the family of Mr pulman um and the family of Miss Smith um the Mr pulman and I passed um a little bit he was in high school my wife was not before I was on the board but we did serve on a couple of ad hoc committees to get to know him um also just want to address you know nationally school shooting in Wisconsin um no teacher no student should expect to come to school piggy back to a degree of Mr Hof today we're signing uh again another memorandum of understanding with our Police Department um our security guards our district has been ahead I believe of security make sure that we have police officers in each building and making sure that we have um all the security and things that we need to and you again my thoughts are with the people there but knowing that we've taken action so that hopefully that never happens anywhere but definitely never happens here again just happy holidays Merry Christmas Happy Hanukkah and points I wanted to share uh last Thursday the M County New Jersey School Board Association had their what say monthly meeting and it's nice to see that on our agenda we have the tech expo that our administrators or teachers are going to be going to that because their topic was Ai and how it's been implemented into not just the education but how it's expanded into student learning and it can make not just our lives easier but it could also expand on our knowledge so it's nice to see that our teachers our staff kingburg is going to be in the future age um also on top of that uh Saturday was the delegate assembly and though there was a couple points that was discussed I think something that should be aware and you said yeah it's very Park sorry was that last part of it um anyways a lot of these news organizations are switching to digital media and with municipalities and school districts where we have to give up open public notice that whole environment is going to be changing and then from what I understand the municipalities and New Jersey school board is going to be working actively so that way everybody is in compliance just a new age and something that we're going to have to be updated with and as far as updates in this school year I just want to say that this year has been a prosperous year it's been a successful year I want to thank heing for a lot of that Su success and that Vision it's not a lot of hard work and a lot of dedication it's not just her but also her team and the teachers and last wishing everybody a happy holidays a Merry Christmas A Joyful New Year happy Hanukkah happy Quanza andjoy thank you Mr cook Mr Mor you and I just want to say my condolences to thean um as you know Ray Coleman was with our district for 41 years I was probably his second class when he started um and a lot of good memories with him and when you read so many positive beautiful things about him they're all true I mean he was a friend he was a mentor he was an educator he took Sports we didn't have um a bowl and Alley but he made it happen and he was a champion and our kids learned to bowl and they brought home rings and a lot of positive influence same thing cross country we didn't have a track but we had Great Hills and streets and beaches and things to run and my memory with him is the Grateful Dead I might not look like a dead head but I am and I want to tell you that right after I graduated in 1977 I went to the Dead concert at the Intown graceway and he was an influence so not only did he teach us science in a different way but he taught us to love music and it's okay to different so um for that we were blessed to have him in our school district he he was someone that everyone admired he was kind he wanted you to be yourself and it is a great loss that'll forever be in our hearts and I'd just like to wish everyone a very happy holiday it's about being kind and respect and love each other and that's something we're instilling with our students it's nice to see them happy um thank you to the administrative team the Educators all the support staff we have a great School District going on it's growing we're doing good things and the
