order we have Joe kasna was with us he may pop back in um and we are missing bill cabal from our table this set this evening um here are the bills if you'd like to review them Dennis to pass those around and if anybody has had a minute to read the minutes from November 18th which was our last meeting nice job Lori up to date on our minutes so I will make a motion to accept the minutes the meeting minutes [Music] for November 18th as presented as presented second all in favor I I how we doing Joyce oh Joe's back all right uh so not a whole heck of a lot to report um things have been steady we are starting to get in permit renewals for this coming 2025 um reminder no have gone out with the um deadlines and $100 whatever the late fee is assessed is is noted on there after the deadline so people are aware of it um septics are still pretty active done at least a couple of parks and some um inspections of ongoing permits uh so that's that hasn't died down at all um housing is pretty active I have a few open cases we are muddling through them um nothing of you know like I stated before the one case that um are working with the family they've made good progress so we have prevented the necessity to to do a correction order at this time as long as the progress continues that won't need to happen um I have a couple of other uh complaints that are reasonable so those correction orders will be going out to the owners um and I'm hoping that with this the start of the new Building Commissioner that will also help with addressing some structural stuff that may come be part of some of these cases so that's pretty much it um I know we'll talk about the board of reg the regulations for the tattooing and only the other thing I needed to update you on is that I attended court today um when anything is disposed up I will be for to the board you that's all good really oh we will be holding a serf safe class um it's scheduled for January 27 and so we've already got how many people at least six at least six people signed up already so that's good we've put it out to other towns as well I just tell the people that I'm in with the grant if anybody wants to take it I don't care who comes um so six people so far we'll cap it at 20 okay yep so that's it we'll be spending some of our revolving funds to purchase you it's $80 for the book in thefe Serve Safe no I have I know you help out with the chur lot I don't I don't serve I don't serve CPR yeah I'm waiting to get a date on the CPR class from um fir fighter ker okay uh he's supposed to get back to me just I know it's just a tough time of year for everybody so we're hoping that you know January February be able to do that and I'm hoping I will be getting into the housing certification class through the state the new safe regulations that came down the safe 2.0 it's the the requirements for health agents in the state just passed so part of that is going for I'm already ahead of the game thank god um but the housing is the next thing that I've applied two other previous times so hopefully the third will be the cham I did meet with um by Zoom Paul hman who is the state trainer for housing I had him I had a presentation by him and um another person who kind of oversees the hoarding task force on the cape during the mhoa conference and um he was gracious enough to agree to meet by Zoom to just review some stuff from previous cases to make sure that we are in compliance dotting all our eyes and Crossing all our tees as far as you know legal wise and and doing things correctly so that we avoid any issues and make sure that we're affording everyone all of their rights when we have to handle these kind of cases so that's that's pretty much it for this month and when is the start nice June 27 January I mean J January 27 sorry wishful thinking J joce yes would you like to tell them all about your uh presentation at town meeting and your success there I was there I don't I don't know that there was M much to report other than I'm not allowed to present at the town meeting but this the septic bment loan um was approved so now I just have to fill in the application with Old Colony to just replenish the funds I think we have 70 grand left right now so that'll basically maybe get me through one or two more until the new stuff kicks in so that is on my agenda for the next couple of weeks is getting all that paperwork in excellent great thank you that's a huge help to it went well it went very well nice she did great what you glad oh I don't care that doesn't bother me um Joe do you think we should wait till we have a full quum to do the regulations yeah I'd hate to bypass some Bill and then find out he had something to add to it so I know yeah we can push it off agree okay so I'd like to I would like to delay that until our next meeting with a full Quorum no that's that's fine okay okay yes Dennis just as an FYI I got a a summons from the uh district attorney to appear in court uh relative to a Board of Health matter you did it yes I did this is um does this go backway prior to yeah it goes back ways to the um um I got a call I was the last one on the list they couldn't reach anybody else so they got me I picked the phone up I had to go go down to the U Baymont or the motel yeah and um uh give a rendering on a a situation there where the room was piled about this high with trash and there was a a cooking stove set up and there was the children in the room unattended and asked to render a decision and I said well as it currently stands I don't consider this a safe place to habitate no um was DCF notified yeah I mean I the police were there and I was under heavy escort I simply needed to be a Board of Health person to render an opinion and once I rendered the opinion everything went out and it left our jurisdiction in our hands I said we had to go back I'm I'm because I'm looking at this they just moved him to another room I don't know what they did I just I just know that they repair they remedied the situation and the summons that I had to appear with from Cruz's office I had to appear in a matter row to and I looked at the name I said who is this what is this all about I had no idea so until I called found down so I thought I should probably when is when is this when did your I believe it's um December 17th Joyce would you be available to go with Dennis to this yeah the reason Dennis nothing against anybody no no no no no that's not at all there any questions answer questions yes if there's any questions pertaining to the Authority or the rules and regs pertaining to the department Jo may be able to help you yeah answer those things that's the only reason I'm encouraging it problem what does everybody else think I think that's a great idea what's the date December 17 I'll call tomorrow I'll call the offs tomorrow confirm the date okay all right just okay I think it' be a good idea um to have the professional in the room with the board member regardless of who the board member is um so that's that's my opinion I'm glad Judes concur um what else have we got no that's it Joe next meeting L yes December 16 what do you got for the next meeting meeting is scheduled for December 16th at 5m do you want any have a problem with that no and we can certainly because we have to post the agenda the week before if we have nothing we'll let you know um but let's at least keep it open in case something something comes up I think that's always a wise idea well we'll carry forward with the rules and regs but other
