Um it's uh it's the Lawrence Housing Code 5.76. 24 00:13:41.760 --> 00:13:58.079 It's been in effect, but because of COVID um they uh temporarily um um decided not not to um charge any fees, but starting this year, we are we are charging fees again. Um, so, um, I'm 25 00:13:58.079 --> 00:14:14.639 just going to go down the the permit requirements, some of the requirements. So, uh, so you, so you need to go on citizen serve. Most of you know that pull the permits, you need to go on citizen serve and pull a permit for, um, it's called temporary outdoor patio permit. Um, so 26 00:14:14.639 --> 00:14:30.880 you go on citizen serve, you apply for the permit. Um, there will be a charge. Um, >> so, so just to break down the charge a little bit. So, so it's it's usually the way we broke it down, April 1st to October, that's what the ordinance says, 27 00:14:30.880 --> 00:14:46.880 and it's um $70 per month um and $100 uh application fee. So, for the for the season, it's going to be $570 um for the for the permit. Also, um so 28 00:14:46.880 --> 00:15:03.839 anybody that's um going to obstruct a public way, which is like a like a sidewalk or or or you're going to be in a public way, you have you have to pull that permit. Um when you pull that permit, um 29 00:15:03.839 --> 00:15:20.320 once we okay it goes through the process, the we're going to um you need to get an inspection from the from the fire department and from the building building department. Um so, from the patio, there's certain things that we're going to need. Uh we're going to need a detailed floor plan, but it doesn't have to be from an architect. Um if you're if you're using um a sidewalk and you're going to infringe on somebody else's property like the next door neighbor, you need to get permission from them. Um you need to photograph the area and and once we're done, photograph the area and show us, you know, what is it that you what what is he going to do there? Um so they there's areas I think some of the establishment here have their own barriers already. So you could talk to them and find out where you get them.
