Pledge Heavenly Father we hope that you watch over us tonight that you give us the wisdom to make good decisions for the city of lesburg we do this in your name amen pledge allegian to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible with libery and justice for all [Music] all yeah all right so we'll begin tonight uh Andy you gonna install some new Commissioners for us sir I do you first yes ma'am [Music] I James A B J do Solly swear do Solly swear I will support I will support protect and defend protect and defend the Constitution the Constitution and government of the United States and government of the United States and the State of Florida and the State of Florida that I duly qualified that I'm duly qualified to hold the office to hold the office under the constitution of the State under the constitution of the state and I will well and Faithfully I will well and Faithfully perform the duties of City Commissioner perform the duties of the city commissioner of the city of lebur Florida of the city of lebur Florida on which I'm about to enter which I'm about to so help me go so help me God [Applause] [Music] congratulations it really is you I will support I will support protect and defend protect and defend the Constitution the Constitution and the government of the United States government of the United States and the state of and the state of that I duly qualified D qualified to hold office under the constitution of the State Office of the Constitution of the state and I will well and Faithfully I will well and Faithfully perform the duties of City Commissioner perform dut City Commission of the city of lebur Florida City florid on which I'm about to enter so help that [Applause] conat so I'm GNA hand it over to you yes sir all right you want to switch seats or no I don't no so this is uh at at this point in our uh organizational meeting I typically uh am the your chairman for a brief moment while you select a mayor for the next year so are there any nominations from the body for your next mayor I'll nominate Alan reeman Allen's been nomin Allan commissioner reesman's been nominated are there any other nominations I nominate J conell and commissioner canel has been nominated excuse me canel any any other nominations for mayor okay uh so the the mayor requires three votes so we have two Commissioners who've been nominated from the body commissioner canel and commissioner reesman all in FA do you want to formally you want me yeah that R you roll call it uh we'll do all in so what we'll do is uh for those Commissioners who voting for uh commissioner reesman we'll do a a vote of I uh the clerk will take note and then we'll do the same for commission or for commissioner uh canel so all of those Commissioners in favor of commissioner reesman please signify by raising your hand so that's Commissioners Peterson Commissioners bur and commissioner reesman those Commissioners in favor of commissioner canel that's commissioner canel and commissioner Barry so the vote is three- two commissioner reesman you are the mayor do we do a yeah and then so at this time mayor rean you get the honors of running the remainder of this unless you guys want to do the let's get him up here just move here just like that that night you're relax wish we all right we'll let Miss Andy [Music] finish get back to our seat we'll open the floor for nominations for pro term Pro term [Music] mayor like to nominate Mike Peterson so we have a nomination of Mike Peterson do we have any other nominations I nominate J conell take J canell please have a nomination of J conell any other nominations all right we'll close the nominations and we'll go to roll call everyone signifying uh I for uh Mike Peterson everyone's if you're in favor of Mike Peterson say I I and if you're in that's two and if you're in favor of Jay conell as mayor Pro term with a signal of I or raise your hand I so it's two to three okay Jay conell is our mayor proon next we'll move the meeting along to presenting the plaque to outgoing mayor Jimmy bur Jimmy you Personnel committee right now we have commissioner conell and commissioner Barry do we need to change that are we okay with those I would like to remain please commissioner Barry would like to remain commissioner Canal would you like to remain sure okay next lake Lake Community Action Agency we have commissioner Barry as the represent representative and mayor bur as the alternate are we okay with keeping those I would like to remain as well mayor bur yes I'm good okay Lake County League of cities board of directors I'm the representative I can maintain that and then commissioner conell is the alternate would you like to remain that sure okay Florida of cities is commissioner Peterson as the representative and commissioner Barry as the alternate are you guys okay with that I would like to become representative okay she's been more involved so she can take the lead on that you want to be the alternate I'll be the alternate okay so we're going to switch those two I thought you thought the mo Metropolitan planning organization we have commissioner bur as a representative and myself as the alternate I would like to stay you would like to stay on that I'll take that as the alternate as well all right St John's River Water Management District lead on commissioner B bur would you like to St that yes the Florida Municipal Power agency we have Brad chase our electric director he's our representative Al Min is our city manager he's our alternate and then we have James Williams our finance director as our second alternate is everybody okay with those okay yes the Florida Municipal Electric Association we have Brad chase our representative and El Min as our alternate is we okay with those all right the Florida Municipal Power agency policy makers and liaison committee we have commissioner bur as a representative and commissioner Peterson as a alternate would you like to maintain those I would like to stay in okay last for those is the leberg Center for the Arts commissioner Barry would you like to maintain that one yes ma'am that was easy next we're moving along to the airport Advisory Board commissioner Barry would you like to keep Marvin King I do recommend um Colonel King remaining yes ma commissioner canell darl crane yeah yes commissioner Peterson bo roton uh yes my appointment is Byron oldum I will maintain him and commissioner bur Joel haras sure yes sir the leberg public Arts Advisory Board commissioner Barry you have Miss Parker I will keep her so commissioner conell you have Gail Tyson yes commissioner Peterson you have Vicky Murphy yes um commissioner reesman that's my or mayor I'm gonna maintain well I have a question we were talking with Andy before I appointed Richard culvin so he is the but he is the chairperson of the board so I can't appoint him so I need to appoint another person to the board is what we discussed I think so I'm going to probably give me to the next meeting to appoint someone I believe it's written that the chairman of the parts was could be the chairman for the committee not voting and then each commissioner had I think that's correct all right that's correct so I just found that out so I'll make an appointment next meeting and then commissioner bur you have Simone Richardson correct all right Parks and Recreation Advisory Board commissioner Barry you have deanii Nettles um I'd like to keep him all right commissioner conell you have Clay Bell yes commissioner Peterson you have Joanie SMY yes I have Jeff sarik I will maintain him and commissioner Berry you have Roger Croft yes all right um one thing I do ask is uh if staff could get with the lebur public Arts Advisory Board and create some kind of board structure um with their Miss and what their objectives are so um with that we will go back to the agenda EXC May quick question on The Advisory board for the Arts they meet when so that's what I was just asking that's what I want to be if they could create an outline and uh with this first of the year maybe we get a meeting under our belt and then go from there um just with their mission and their objectives and what they're supposed to be doing but would they need to meet monthly or that would be I think that's up to the determination of the board okay um I know the airport Advisory Board met once a month and they moved it down to quarterly CU they could fit it into quarterly and they didn't have that much stuff on there so that's usually up to the board's discretion all right and then we need to appoint people to the electric Advisory Board um I think we had four people apply um Michael Ranken I think he was one Joshua Brewster Bethany Burge and then Amanda mcclee and our appointments that we need to fill are small business large business and Lake County correct Miss Andy yes sir do we need to introduce the resolution ROP yes oh sorry you're right can we get a motion to introduce Six B sorry I'll introdu has to be read by tyone resolution of the city Commission of the city of lebur Florida appointing members to the lebur electric Advisory Board and providing an effective date second all right so with that will we take any nominations and discussion on this for these board members yeah let me let me help you out here because this one this one's a little tricky uh because these are these are fouryear terms um so Andy if you would help me out here too so there were two members and and so there four-year terms for specific their types there're four okay and I'm pretty sure they're four and um there were specific types of positions so it was a city customer a Fruitland Park customer an unincorporated customer a large Electric commercial customer and a small electric commercial customers for four year for fouryear terms there was two members that we appointed for two-year terms I believe that was robu two year terms are they two-year terms commission two-year [Music] terms oh there you go about five number two your St I don't know why four was sticking on my head do say St you're staggering I thought you staggered yes that's why I'm getting confused because we had something that was Stagg commercials were one year and the other ones were two years oh you so we might have reappointed neither Jesse Jesse wanted to re apply so some so if you got five you oh so you got well you got okay well we got three up now so you should make the these are the twoe terms so the two remaining on the board which would be Mark Roberts and Jack have one year left okay so it's two year and we have two that are existing that will so we're we're looking for three positions yeah and the three positions are and and I didn't get a chance to look who the who were the the applicants uh Mike rank he would be an unincorporated or or small business uh Joshua Brewster I don't know if he would qualify for small business okay because I don't know where his business is located is it um is it on leberg electric in Fruitland Park the downtown business oh he could be the downtown bu yes okay Bethany bur and Amanda mcle where did so Amanda would be the the large business representing um Lake Imaging who Josh would be would be a qualifier for the the city resident which is actually Jack seed which is what what was the the fourth um methan Bethany bur boss she's on right realy connection is the business listed associate business address is Dixie uh mailing address is Park Avenue Park Drive in leeburg so she be small business she could be small business or small what is it small large small why don't you do this one step at a time to make it easy that's what we want to do you do the unincorporated first all right let's do unincorporated do we have any which would be Mr ranking rank okay is everyone okay with Mr rank all right do we need to roll call on each of those no do we'll just put that into the resum okay um small business that's Jack as is no that that's vacated correct so that would give you Bethany Bethany yes Bethany bur and then our large business would be just so Amanda Amanda mcle with Lake Medical Imaging is everybody okay with those nominations good to me all right so we need a roll call that's the last thing our meeting just want to say oh no we got city manager right I'm sorry I don't have anything all right roll call commissioner canel uh a couple things one is I want to thank commissioner Barry for her support um I do appreciate the commission as a whole though because I think I just set a record tonight by being the longest sitting commissioner has never been appointed to Mayor um do I get do I get a medal or trophy or anything for that Al for a trophy case we can make one for you sir I would appreciate that because it it is an honor to be the longest running commissioner to never be appointed mayor thank again though Miss Miss Barry for your support that's all I have commissioner bur nothing denight commissioner Peterson nothing tonight commissioner Barry
