##VIDEO ID:tnuC-MfDuiQ## [Music] I have a motion to approve the agenda I have a second second are there any questions motion carries recommend a motion to approve the following minutes I have a motion I have a second [Music] second all in favor motion passes moving on to our first public comment agenda items only the Board of Education welc the public to comment on the items which are on our agenda tonight community members should first try and resolve their concern chice School administrators before bringing those concerns to the board it may not always be possible or appropriate for the board to directly answer questions public com perod speaker is alled Max minutes to make St no one may speak on the same topic you required to your name and address taking your comments respectful and nonat to contain the level ofate for public meeting where miners May the audience would anyone like to speak on agenda item see as there's no one I'll move on um the following is presented uh for informational items um enrollment suspension fire emergency and so on moving on to uh reports uh board session um just a couple things um reorganization meeting is going to be January 7th at 6:30 and do we have any committee report ofd yes please excuse my voice Lara GIS here I'll be brief uh the policy committee and the curriculum committee met on the 10th policy committee uh approved the moving forward of policy 5516 which is on the agenda tonight and we also discussed some missing policies in our policy manual and we did discuss with the superintendent they were reviewed so we thought it was appropriate to put them on for a first read tonight and then in the same day we had a curriculum meeting and a lot of information by Mrs um Lissa caler thank you was given to us um including piloting the ELA programs and which one was more cost effective and also the reviews by the teachers so that was good information received and that's about it and I will be doing notes on that I provided the notes on the policy committee for the board through thank you all right thank you and just moving forward for our reorganization meeting I the time for us to think about which commit everyone like to participate in maybe want to change it up You' on policy toy but um if you want to switch um but right [Music] now um just keep that in mind last couple years have been fun yes so at this time I would like to I'm going start with Mr and I want to say thank you for for your service um the one thing that I'm not going to miss you saying is just a teacher because you are so much more and we've provided so much boort um for Alison on here for her teacher so you can give us that perspective that we not have and you're also a parent or grandparent um so you see it from all those sides and that's what I think believe believe makes us a good board that we all work well because differ and so I can't thank you enough you do with us through selecting a board attorney superintendent search of superintendent search and ever ask always volunte to so forever grateful for your service and you will be [Applause] great um and moving on toes who um joined this board not long after I did and she also could um similar we come from similar backgrounds do not have children in the district but she would never know that because the amount of care and thought that she took into get each agenda um anything policies anything that was brought to her she took that care as if her child was in this District and I know you have a history from your family here attended here um and you can see the pride that you have for little har School District you volunteered in I'm again also searching for a new board attorney and our superintendent we spent all us Saturdays together probably more than we ever thought as board members and most recently negotiations than together also Dr C to say um through all three years that I was on the board I was fortunate enough that you were the president and I I uh I want to tell you I think you've done a fantastic job and what I appreciate most about you is uh probably your toughness and the fact that I know I can say what I want to say to you and it's just business and it's not personal and uh you can have disagreements and uh and uh you know it's just it's refreshing to have uh you know to be able to uh uh debate like we have sometimes with some issues and uh um I just think you've done an awesome job thank you okay okay um one other thing that we have on here are the 2025 UC um I would like to propose to board a switch for the February date completely understand if we don't agree um I just won't here that date and I hate to meeting at the start of the year um um so I'm proposing to change it to just another day that week maybe Thursday since we know that that's worked um instead of that Tuesday I think it's the 11 February 11 um it doesn't matter actually it doesn't matter I any day that week except Monday and Tuesday I'll be traveling is there any issue so is is it that you want to change it from February Tuesday February 11th to Thursday February 13th just want to be clear is that the request everyone yeah so the minutes will reflect uh some discussion regarding the changes and the request for the changes and the schedule will be sent down so you can just say uh the um uh the meeting as revised and I have we not voting on this yes you are you are voting on that on the committee report oh no no I guess my only I I'm assing have [Music] uh that's that's a tight time line because that yeah that the the March and the April um board meetings coincide with the state budget [Music] calendar right but that was that was only um I can I can look at the schedule the state budget schedule calendar and see what adjustments can be made there but usually it's it's pretty stringent I mean previously we had every second Tuesday right of the month it's kind of it's kind of nice to keep it consistent all right does anyone have anything else moving to super thank you so a huge shout out to our music teachers uh Sarah Leanne for the uh entertaining frog Pon chorus and band concert lastday uh it was a great concert and and a huge thank you shout out to everybody it was really wonderful so if you had a chance to see it it was great and it really got got me in the spirit I know I know the kids enjoyed it as well we have successfully initiated two- Factor authentication for the most part we have a couple of strs that we're working with uh but not that has anything to do with with them it's we're waiting the devices and they should be in this week because they were shipped and a huge shout out to Terry maruchi and our Tech Team to keep this moving and assisting our staff to get it taken care of and just our staff who just did it which was wonderful so we thank everybody for that so we are well on our way to increased cyber security within the district so every little bit helps we will be rolling out our new logos and our new branding in January so we'll be doing a presentation at at the board meeting in January outlining everything that we're going to be doing and every very excited about it it's going to be great I wanted to let the community know that in order to to comply with our mandatory suicide trading mandate there there will be a forthcoming calendar revision probably sometime in late February possibly March uh will be likely requesting a delayed opening so as soon as we know what that date is as soon as we secure the speakers we will let everybody know what that is also there has been an invitation for public comment on school funding in New Jersey which just came out today I encourage people from the board and the community to listen to join in to ask questions to reach out we will put something on our website which will direct you exactly where to go but the New Jersey legislature is considering changes to the school funding Reform Act now little L Harbor has lost money in recent years and it is having an absolute effect on the operations of the school district the New Jersey Department of Education has announced four dates when Educators and members of the public May comment on the school funding law this is an opportunity for local Boards of Education to make their voices heard on this critically important issue and there will be four public hearings December 17th from 2: to 4: and I will this will be on the website September 17th from 2 to 4: at the New Jersey Department of Ed in Trenton January 8th from 6:00 to 8 at the Somerset County Government Office in Somerville January 14th from 10: to noon at the department of Aden Trenton and January 16th from 6:00 to 8 in the Camden County Regional Emergency training center in blackw additional information registration and comment forms can be found on the Department's school funding Reform Act Outreach page along with an overview of the school funding formula in New Jersey and other informational links the comment period ends January 17th so there's not a lot of turnaround time and they do have a phone number for contact information again we'll make sure we have this on the agenda so that you can just I mean on the website to just take a look at it and I really encourage you to go ahead and talk to them about it we we will be doing that for sure I know superintendant in Ocean County will be sending something and I believe that local boards will too but I don't know that for sure yet and finally just happy holidays and a healthy 2025 to everyone can't believe it's your thank you we possibly a global yes we can ab yeah that's what I was going to ask you don't have to be there in person right you can call the number or there's a a website that you there's forms that you can fill out and send in so yes we can send that out [Music] sure thank you we have to comply with their form in order to have us sub mittle yes but we'll have that on the we'll have that in the we'll have the link we'll provide the information that they provided to us that I think so I'd like to attend okay moving on presentations we have students good [Music] thee hello hello conratulations great job picture H okay moving on to action items is that better can everybody hear me [Music] now recommend a motion to approve Finance items a through C can I have a motion sorry a g I have a second are there any questions [Music] no questions have aoll call vote Please Mr Phil aello yes M Martin yes Mr Barry yes m zesn m Berber yes M Lawrence yes Dr Snider yes the motion carries recommend a motion to approve facilities items A and B can I have a motion can I have a second second are there any questions yeah I have a quick question um I should have answer this before I'm sorry I don't think it's a hard question but I think like the basketball are those dates correct I feel like the r start so we're good I was say I felt like I saw basketball there was an oversight that was correctly they didn't have both schools when we originally they applied for it but some [Music] oh was grou yeah both schools weren't on it but now we're the group [Music] sorry can I have a roll call vote Please Mr phello yes Miss Martin yes Mr Barry yes Miss zesn M irmer yes M Lawrence M Dr Snider yes motion carries recommend a motion to improve School business administrators non Personnel items a through F have a motion motion can I have a second second are there any questions yes I was with Chris on the live touch what can we do about that or hold off on that approval before I would like to know what a with the packages cost and I wanted would like to know ask to R yeah is it um open bid process for that okay so I'm going to have to defer to the principles to see if the timeline is too late um if we postpone the Life Touch uh contract until next month is that going to have a negative effect upon the picture day this say for the 25 26 school year no but is doesn't this part include the makeups for this year oh it does oh okay I thought it include the makeups okay yes of course we sure so I have a motion that we remove personally I would like humanly possible maybe if there's not an interest if there's someone local I would like to see the money go back I had asked about the percentages too but I also got feedback that they were you know they're a good agency and they were working well for us so something has to be said for the quality I don't know that's you know maybe parent feedback I just I would like to see the cost before we approve it like the package costs that used to be the issue like package I know it's gone up we'll get that information for you we'll postpone it or table like to know before I approve it as a parent I wasent that was my I don't need a gigantic 15 wallets first of all kids I good point good point so you know you give me a 5 by S something small for you know grandparents class picture that's might be something that some parents just want yeah I think they have a lot of options um so my personal experience as a parent is I like them only because I don't know what other companies would be like but you there's a nice portal you can go right online you can pay ahead of time you want to send money in with your child which always concerns me um and there's lots of options I just don't know if they're comparable like what the competition is like out there we didn't have anything loc that way so I I know another like Studios there's a couple other ones they're similar it's online things like that I would just like to see I know life touch is good for schools where like high school where you need you have a large bount yearbooks and you have the I I I Robert if we do an open process is there going to be like a description of everything that is needed you know it's not just not just takeing pictures there's a lot that goes with it I'll meet with the principles and see what the and see what their input is for their students and we'll have all any information anybody if anybody has any specific questions you can email them to me and I'll be sure that they get answered at the next for the next uh board meeting and I just want to comment that it's wonderful AC markets has always given to the school district and they still do this many years later and it's from a sixth grade dance to donating pieces of water they um and they're still donating you know all these years later so we're very grateful and I SP cost as well just a point of clarification so are we making a motion to remove that because we approved the agenda already or you just you know vable ation to [Music] table on that Mr phell yes Miss Lawrence yes M yes PA was I was the third one before you're going to go next Mr Barry yes M [Music] serber Miss Martin yes mnar Dr steer yes motion is approved I problem your last meeting um can I have a roll vote for that there's no other questions for not for uh for three through f out see correct ready for R yes Mr phello yes M Martin yes Mr Barry yes Mr leso yes M Berber yes M Lawrence yes Dr Snider yes the motion [Music] carries recommend a motion to approve personal items a through J can I have a motion have a second second are there any questions I do want to say thank you to Mrs H for her service sure she was here when my oldest was in school [Music] so I think it an instructional Master Teachers any questions not Mr phello yes M Martin yes Mr Barry yes Miss ceso yes Miss Berber yes M Lawrence yes Dr Snider yes the motion carries okay recommend a motion to approve superintendent of school's non-personnel items a through G can I have a motion motion can I have a second are there any [Music] questions um I'm think I know that our budget is very tight and I do not know that it be cooperate or arrange something with um the PTO but with regards to the number of hibs and other disciplinary actions I wondering if there's some type of uh assembly or something that we would have to help prevent prev the numbers especially since we just see an uptick in the winter that would seen historically sorry what was your question could we possibly have an assembly to promote positive behaviors how to interact um because normally in the winter we see that uptick in the number of hip PES so just as a if that's an option the uh is willing to work with us there's something out there we can reach out discussion for sure I I have a question on E the three field trip destinations the attachment I I thought they were the responsibility of the PTO now I mean is the the board has to approve destinations this is just destinations you're not approving the board is not paying for them you're just approving that we are allowing the students to attend these places these locations that's all the board is approving me is that there a finance attachment though no the attachment is all of the places all the [Music] locations we are not we are not the board is not funding field trips so that's the um homebound instruction that's the homebound instruction that you're reading okay sorry [Music] yeah okay sorry no I just I no for a and just as an explanation I'm just oldfashioned it is nothing against people that look into this and uh and I'm sure their findings are correct but I don't see a [Music] um a punishment then I just can't vote for it and that's why I've been voting enough for that um but it's nothing against anybody who's doing all that work to try and uh figure out what's going on else um sorry for the first read policies we'll do a second reading and then vote okay second reading and vote at the same time so thanks month January got [Music] itk so sorry they were ated late yes and they will all they all apply to students and staff as well okay and I I did not get a chance to ask was there much difference between keep position description um changed it not no not major um the old description was geared towards simply a bookkeep uh the new description kind of opens it up to be available to not only a bookkeeper but more someone with an accounting degree background so the accounting degree is not required no so it it it caters to both the keepers and the accounts anyone else Mr phello yes M Martin yes Mr Barry yes with the exception of 2A no M alesn yes M Berber yes but I'm going tostain on 2day [Music] M Lawrence yes Dr Snider yes motion passes um I not believe there's any new business uh moving on to public comment the floor is now open to the members of the public the Board of Education recognizes the value of public comment on educational issues the board requests that each statement made by a participant is limited to 3 minutes as cited in policy number 0167 there's a sign located on the podium please sign in see someone walking before you [Music] [Music] [Music] speak hello my name is Danielle Kate and I have been a dedicated teacher and Community member in this District since 2003 in the 20 years that I have been in this District I have witnessed numerous changes to our busing and schools discussions about new busing changes began last school year and I actively participated raising concerns along with other staff members and the police department despite our concerns the district decided to move forward with the new busing plan we were asked to live it to see how it works out throughout September it was evident that the new plan was not working numerous staff members bus drivers and parents spoke out and expressed their concerns to Administration through conversation text and emails the number one concern expressed was student sa and staff safety the second concern was the continued loss of instructional time even with those concerns expressed the district chose to keep the plan anyway I heard many staff members say well unfortunately nothing is going to change unless someone gets hurt well fortunately for my family that happened on Monday December 2nd for those of you who don't know my husband is Sergeant Sean Crow with the little an Harper Police Department he oversees the school resource officers of little an haror since a new SRO was starting at Frog Pond he went to assist him with traffic imagine my surprise when my superv advisor came into my classroom and said I have to tell you something don't freak out shod was hit by a car he is lying in the street he's talking but not moving he doesn't want you out there I of course ran out to be with him I saw my husband lying in the street something that is very difficult to witness I then had to coordinate with the police department how to get in touch with my son a student at pands so that he did not hear through social media from someone else what had happened I had to make the call to his family that he was hit by a car I then roll it in the ambulance with my husband to the Atlantic City Trauma Center there we waited for hours for him to be assessed and examined somehow thankfully he was not seriously injured I think when people hear that he walked away from the accident they think all is okay well it is not he is still in pain every day and suffering from injury injuries from the accident he has appointments to follow up with Specialists but because he has to go through workman's comp everything is taking longer than we would like I ask you Dr antunes and the Board of Education to please take time to reflect when you make decisions about students and staff we are in fact human beings with families we hope to go home to this is not just a logistics problem that needs to be worked out but a safety issue in the end I think the most disheartening thing to me personally is that I didn't hear from the community members of the Board of Education especially since some of you know Sean personally to resolve this I hope that we can all come together to come up with a solution so that this does not happen again I would like to thank the numerous administrators staff and community members that did reach out your concern and support is greatly [Music] [Applause] [Music] appreciated anything else like see [Music] good evening any English just want to piggy back on what Daniel said not 24 hours after sergeant crowy was hit at parent drop off I witnessed now I get very nervous coming down Frog Pond Road if any Dr Snider you pulled it right behind me yesterday it is chaos out there in the morning coming down Frog Pond you have cars making illegal u-turns all t-boning cars every day well I'm an 835 person I get to park on this side it's dangerous parents do not stop at the two well the one stop sign there's a stop sign on the left not on the right coming out they just blow through the stop signs so I have now dash cam on my camera that I hit soon as I start coming down prog Pond and I've said to a mam like somebody's going to get into an accident so not less than 24 hours after sergeant C got hit I have my camera recording and there is a parent pulling into the boarding exit where the board office is dropped their student off in the exit as the parents were coming out dropped their sixth grader off the sixth grader goes in walking through the trees and now the parent is making an illegal u-turn at the exit and I saw that student later in the day I was like hey you know that's not really safe because my pop didn't want to wait in the line so there is definitely an issue and it is is scary pulling into this parking lot you know just wanted to let you know because if you don't know but this whole area is extremely nerve-wracking in the morning and I talked to SCH you you came right in after me yesterday morning and I was like oh it was it's it's there's two lanes and you really need to be [Music] careful thank you would anyone else like to [Music] see there no one that's the end of public comments and we will move up [Music] on um Mrs C thank you for for getting up and for what you said I of course have a personal connection know you and your husband very well and I'm really really sorry about what happened to Sean um for for for us for my husband I know he's very much involved in checking on him all the time and U I'm just glad he's okay I just want to assure you and the community and the staff that transportation is at the Forefront of the board's mind um we have been meeting as a transportation committee for over a year now um so it's not going unnoticed and we know know things are not working and we are trying to fix it um we just met recently I know there are meetings happening with Administration internally we now have a transportation coordinator um we had to do something we have the children were losing instructional time a great deal of it and we needed to fix it this probably is not the correct answer for our transportation but we will get there it's just going to take some time and it it's not fair that someone was injured um it's it's terrible but um it's not we can't let it happen again and we need we need a plan moving forward so I can assure you that this is top top priority for the Board of Education okay just need to say that and then I want to say Mr Barry and Pam thank you for saying yes three years ago um I will miss you both very very much uh Mr Barry your jokes laugh just keeping things light I just really appreciate you and I appreciate your your speeches and you know really reminding us sometimes of what really matters so thank you for your service and D thank you for just being so even all the time at your common sense um I think many people know this but I've known P since I was five so when I asked her to run for the school board word she had to say yes but I just want to say again that uh you did this for free and that is having me the character that you both have to volunteer all of this time for the kids of little Lake haror thank you for everything that you did the last years um and happy holidays Merry Christmas I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and a good time off and a Happy New Year [Music] um I'll go next I'm glad that Sergeant Kate is okay um when it happened you know I I don't know him personally but I did ask the other SRO you know how is he doing I asked a couple times uh I'd love to reach out personally and you know start that relationship but they have a very tough and scary job uh the Frog Pond and George Mitchell and that 539 that's that's a serious job so as parents you know we just have to be aware you know my kids every time we drive by Officer Brian we say hello um but I know that when we're not driving by he's stopping traffic that's traveling very fast and it's a very dangerous job so thank you for bringing that to our attention again um I wanted to say thank you to Terry maruchi and her team for the second Factor authentication I think we've been talking about that for a year and a half uh but thank you for making that happen is very important in this day and age anybody can sign in to um websites from anywhere in the world and having second Factor authentication is one line of the fence when it goes off on your phone for like a six-digit code and you know you didn't just sign in it's like an alarm system to say hey someone's trying to sign into my account um unfortunately that is becoming more and more common hacks on schools so um thank you for helping to put that together um also I guess last meeting we um congratulated unofficially the two new candidates uh Greg is here and John but I guess on the um agenda tonight was the official results nothing changed other than it's official uh we're looking forward to having you guys in the board I'm glad you guys have come every time since almost this whole year have not listened to it online um they're eager to go we're excited to have them and similar to Abby uh back to 2021 when uh me personally I was looking for who was running for school board and I was very excited to see Mr Barry a former teacher that when I was at Pin lands and Pam who used to be Pam jillson uh is now Pam zesn um and then Laura I got to meet Laura too that year but both of you guys you know I'm going to miss Robert saying Miss zesn I don't know if you guys caught that but he says that every time uh but both of you guys put in a lot of effort um you know we've had long days long nights a lot of reading lot of material a lot of resumes to go through um pros and cons great discussions disagreements uh long hours bad food I just we've been through a lot and you guys put everything you had into it and I just wanted to say I appreciated it a lot of great memories a lot of hard work and uh you guys in my opinion did a lot of good for the district and uh you will be missed and I just request at the end if we can all get together for a photo since it'll probably be the last time we're all together as board members thank you okay um I also wanted to say goodbye farewell to Howard Pam thank you for your dedication to the students always putting them first and your work on the Committees really appreciate all your work you're very energetic while you were here both of you so thank you um and you will be missed uh and the other thing officer karate we did read that email and it was devastating and I and I agree something needs to be done um I go by George Jay a lot in the morning and similarly chaotic it seems a lot of par pickup a lot of par cars I would not have like to be that person that caused that accident so we we will be working on that pressing for another solution part of it that we share busing big problem in my opinion okay and then I just wanted to uh inform the public that two days ago bill 3446 pass the freedom to read act which is very lengthy I encourage all parents and staff to read it um it was mainly constructed I guess because um maybe librarian and this pertains to an older level child but they were receiving comments with diversity in the bookshelves and U different materials that parents didn't agree with so now this bill provides for those inclusive and diverse books to be there but also provides a way for a parent to object um if they're not age appropriate if they're not developmentally appropriate and that pertains to school libraries so it may not be an issue in this school district but for older school districts but just to be aware um that you need to be aware of the bill 3446 that just passed um and I would like to wish everybody happy holidays Merry Christmas thank you [Music] sorry is that better okay Miss ZN because my name is obviously very difficult you know and it [Music] [Music] actually she go I help out my with daughter's class and when checking out books I pronounced your name and your daughtered your name that and I when I'm to say my last name dad still not so so thank you always robt app but the last years andity um I'm very grateful for it was definitely fil with a lot of emotion excitement um stress LA s some night I can say um but definitely a wealth of knowledge that never expected to have in regards to how a school operates and very grateful for that I want to start by thanking the community members of Like Harbor for placing your confidence and your Gos in me um not something that I ever expect to or really cross my mind about letting her school until hit and I think we have a parent at the that was something that definitely changed us and shaped us and kind of opened our eyes as parents and and ADM got in my ear um about running and I really got involved and started coming to meetings and just felt like I was a parent of the place and I be a Community member and somebody who just you know hopefully has insight and just you know give me an opportunity to speak on of other parents in the um I want to thank the administration and the teachers and the staff um you were always there to answer questions when we had meetings you were always there talk with us about our concerns and I was always always always respect with every single one of you we had a curriculum meeting negotiations meeting you know we spent hours together and I felt like it was always there respectful and very kind and I always appreciated that because coming from different backgrounds I'm not a teacher I don't know what it's like and I just very much appreciated has always given to us so thank you very much for that the administration you guys were very open with us I very much appreciate that um it was a pleasure to work with all of you and it really showed me the family that's year at leg and how bless by each and every so thank you I very much appreciate that um I knew that one of the hardest battles that I came on this is that my kids did not and still do not it's had a little life work and I know that was going to be something that was difficult for me um every time I was I had an opportunity to speak with anybody during Campa that was the first thing that I told everybody you know I wanted to be very trans parent with that um but at the end of the day I am a lifelong resident of Li lifeart were born and raised um my husband and I homeowners with I rent haror I graduated fromand and and I still live here I definitely feel this school district and this community have shaped the person that I am the parent that I so I'm forever grateful for that um my husband and I are very involved in the town um Sports my husband's soccer coach become Master we are involved in wrestling ADV Dan we're constantly at community events so that will continue and I'm sure that I will see everybody out and about we her is forever going to the space my heart and I can guarantee that I move out of the state I will never leave leg great house and a great piece of property and uh I just really enjoy being here and I just um this is Def my home forever um when it came to thinking about and deciding if I was running again I really had to p a perspective of where my life was right now and I know for many of us this parents were in every different direction some you feel like you know I I work I get kids we have wrestling we have soccer we have F we have whatever it is um and over the course of January February and March I think I my calar between superintendent search regular board meetings and negotiations and ially remember my started said I have to go and even after CP very sorry about that um and that was what it was I just um I've always pred myself as a mom and that has always been my um most important thing in my life my kids are just all over the place and that's not going to stop anytime soon and I just realized that I have to P back a little bit and I need to be there for them and uh that was kind of brought me to the decision of not doing that um but I forever grateful for this opportunity and finally to Bo members who I have spent hours with and some of you I've known for almost 35 plus years and some that I just met over the last course of the years I'm very honored to have with I feel like has always [Music] [Music] and and I app that and I just app all our [Music] soccer I will see you but I app than you very much and I just you all okay um first of all I just want to say Mrs G I am uh I don't know what to say I am one of the people that you spoke about that knows your husband personally I did not reach out to him um and I humbly ask for your forgiveness Sean is a wonderful man who is uh I know has helped so many kids in our community um I also know that he's well he always stri me as a very private person and uh he has been in my prayers I just I reached out through the superintendent uh how he was doing and I've been keeping track but I was waiting because this is my fault and I asked for your you know your forgiveness but I was waiting until time passed when I could you know uh talk to him and see how he was doing and I guess that that well was it was was it was the wrong thing to do I should have reached out right away please understand that uh um I love the guy he's really he's one of little egg's finest uh and I asked for your uh humble forgiveness um but uh please let Sean know it if it's okay I will be calling him um [Music] um the the board members here you guys have uh made it fun uh youve made it uh interesting to be on a board School Board like this uh when I ran three years ago I ran to uh to try and do things and not to uh not to be uh reelected I was just doing what I thought was right the whole three years and my wife knows that you know especially with some of the things when it comes to budget with all stuff uh and some of this especially some of the early year with this being in this uh was many sleepless nights for me because I take this so personally um so uh I thank you all for making it as enjoyable as possible you're all wonderful people um Robert has been a pleasure to get to know you and um and you know as an accountant you know you're not that bad of a geek you know you're you're uh you're pretty good guy uh and I like the fact that I could ask you any question you would take the time to explain it to get it through my thick skull what was going on and stuff and you always took time I never felt as though you know intimidated to ask you anything and and uh I appreciate apprciate that um Dr SN of course I already spoke about um you know you and thanking you for how you help navigate uh us through these past three years it was challenging and you did a great job and uh Dr an Tunes uh I've uh respect you and I'm glad you're here um you know some people in uh all the years I spent in education some people you know they go back and they keep getting degrees and stuff like that for many reasons and I think too often than not they go just to get the letters added to their name um in fact I think some even go to get that doctor degree so they can have themselves paged there but uh you I don't think that's well well I mean you have that chemistry and biochemistry that's that's a hard one and but I I don't believe that is the case with you Dr you you want to better yourself and uh uh I'm so happy you're here um and uh I said that I just want to close with with my wishes as a as I complete my term as a little Lake Board of Education member I'd like to State what an honor and privilege it has been for me to serve this district and Community I've experienced firsthand how hard the support secretarial maintenance custodial teaching counseling administrative teams work towards the goal of educating our children to be successful members of society the importance of each of their efforts cannot be overstated the business of education has its obvious rewards but it can also be quite frustrating it is my hope and wish that all of you will continue to stay the course as your efforts they are making found positive difference on each child and in closing I would just like to say i' like to express my uh wishes to you for a Merry Christmas to everyone may we remember the reason for the season celebrate the baby born two three 2,000 years ago it will come a time for each of us to lay down our trophies in this life and I believe it is because of Christmas and the sacrifice that Jesus Paid for us we can live forever my job as a Christian pathetic wretch that I am is to love everyone and to implore all to accept Christmas for the one and true gift it's meant to be thank you all right I would just like to say um uh I'm we are terribly sorry and be asess I'll say I an imperfect person um I'm my husband's in law enforcement and I a vehicle is a weapon and many people don't realize that and I I truly feel it and I can't imagine what you went through that day and for that I am terribly terribly sorry um and it may sound cliche but you were without a doubt in my thoughts and prayers so I do hope that there he recovers um quickly and that you know that and as Abby had said Transportation all I can say is again we're doing the best we can we have tried every possible thing that we can think of and we're trying to do the best for all that's involved try to have deive buildings where everyone arrives and leaves at the same time as the same start time of the day and that children get the most out of their educational day and of course that everyone is safe um and I'm not going to lie with English I did stop and did a pause before I went because fear thatone would not stop at that stop sign and I did take a pause so um but um we're going to keep trying and um so and again I apologize and I um you are still all of our CLS purposes um and you are going to be missed I seat um it uh our next meeting is going to be our reward Mee on January the 7th at 6:30 for those who wish to attend and I'd like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and happy Hanukkah and I hope that everyone has um a blessed and wonderful 2025 um this year seems to have gone really fast even I think I will say as a board I think we accomplished a lot um and we worked we not have done it without working together um Boy Scouts always has this what is it extra hands right below um and that really is the truth here all take our um unforunately Mr take a lot of balance but all right um have a wonderful evening and can I have a motion to adjourn all in favor
