##VIDEO ID:CZ7vIkXn2W4## realized I all right man I forgot to start the recording all right hey can I I um go ahead go ahead I was gonna say start I'm gonna start over a little bit just because I uh I screwed up and I didn't start the recording so first thing we have is I'm going to say the meeting minutes that were presented um I'd like to take a vote for approval so I'm going to go around the room again um uh Kim Miss Duffy hi hi Mr pasos hi Mr Snider hi and Mr Holden do you have a chance to read the M minutes and any comments uh I all right great I'll pass those okay so now I'm going to jump into the uh styrofoam Tyler was giving us an update on the styrofoam um uh he has he has a contact that he's been working with um and the idea would be having he's worked with the manager at Hanford so manager the Hanford would um house and maintain a 40 foot container the folks that for the recycling will charge $500 a pickup to recycle um and this would be this would be Tyler what kind of Styrofoam will they do um this will be like white shipping styrofoam for like anything from like TVs microwaves like all those like big blocky stuff okay usually see in like a moving or something like that gotcha gotcha so this would be bulk kind of bulk styrofoam um $500 a pickup there is a cost of the for the container that's somewhere between 1,500 and three grand that's to be determined and Tyler you're proposing that we try to find a uh a grant to hopefully help help offset this cost yes all right have have we been able to identify anything just yet or do what do you need some help with that um I'm pretty crazy with school to be honest but uh I can try to use some free time to try to um sort of look up some all right let me see what we got um I guess the idea would be is um how do folks feel if there was a a minor charge for dropping off the styo like if did like a token say $10 or something like that or $5 something like that oh could even yeah could be a relatively low low number if a lot of people are dropping uh dropping off materials there um so yeah I'd be fine with you know a $5 charge or something like that just to get rid of this stuff and know it's being uh hopefully recycled yeah it definitely fund the system yeah I me you know like a what per trash bag full or how does that work work yeah so what what I got from Matt is that he's going to provide us with I'm not sure how many bags but I'm guessing there's going to be a lot of bags um but he's going to provide bags that we then put the styrofoam into or the people who put the styrofoam into and then I guess we could do pice per bag or something like that um that's a good idea so so Matt is the gentleman who's recycling correct okay all right for the price the only thing I'd be looking at because I'm looking at how much the bags are for like people to throw away the like recy the styrofoam that they would normally be throwing away and I think we would just want to keep it to the same price as they would take for people to throw away or less um so they does they do have the motivation of like recycling yeah but like what's people's motivation if you know if it's the same price um for some for styrofoam if if they're not you know caring too much about the recycling component like I just want to be able to make sure can motivate people a little bit so I have the the um prices here for the bags and I guess I'm just kind of curious like more about the bags that Hanford was mentioning are they going to be the lunenberg bags or are they other types of bags um I'm assuming that they're other types of bags just because they're going to be coming from Matt who is the star person um but I'm not sure what size a bag those are at all but they would be so yeah think be good to know that what gallon size bags those were because that's the price that we can kind of like the unit that we can use um so Kim if we assumed it was the large trash bags the lunenberg large trash bags how much are they charging for those now um so the large trash bags are 33 gallons they're five for 1639 so they're three 28 a bag and how would the so what the like stor from we're putting it into bags what are they doing with those bags are they throwing them away or recycling them in a different way um I'm pretty sure we just reuse them every time over reuse them okay that would be good um okay yeah so I I agree with you Kim so it' be interesting to know how much can fit in in a bag that they're giving us yeah now because if you guys have ever tried to stuff one of those Luna bird bags I mean barely barely the styrofoam from a TV fits in fits in there so true yeah and then they don't take them too you put one piece of wood in there and they won't take it so okay right all right all right so uh no this is exciting Tyler it's just a matter of what we can you know obviously we look to try to offset the $500 but 40 I mean I agree a 40 foot container should be able to hold more than a 100 bags yeah easily well depends on how well they stuff it and everything else like that so yeah yeah all right all right so yeah it would be interesting to understand from thatt how you know how how big these bags are how many gallons uh they are and um you know because my thought was was if if if it was a little bit if we were ending up making a little bit more than $500 per pickup we can offset the cost of the container yeah it might take time it might take like you know 12 loads but still maybe we can offset the container yeaha all right excuse me I'm sorry Matt what was that I was just wondering if there's a flyer or something that gets into like all examples of what styrofoam is acceptable like is there something we'd be able to give out to the community that says this is the type of stuff we can take and this is the stuff we can't right because some people may make assumptions about what's okay you know the white styrofoam that's on the bottom of a meat package may not be acceptable or maybe if it's washed properly it is like those I think we need to make sure it's clear what can and can't go into the bags like post it on the container and you know post it on the container have a flyer to distribute that announces the program you know all that stuff have posters up in P Haniford potentially saying you know this is what's acceptable um the other question I had too was if they were if there was talk of like a bin or something at Hanford where people could bring individual pieces and put in the bin or is the expectation that people are getting bags and filling their bags and then bringing in a full bag um you know there that might be something to consider too yeah um I'm not sure about a flyer but I know in one email he specifically said what kind I was trying to pull that up right now no I mean we can create that yeah even even if we put something together too exactly I just want to we want to make it graphical and easy so that people aren't making interpretations about what's meant you know all right I just found it so so nothing dirty uh no labels no tape um no colored foam or peanuts so I'm guessing it's just like white okay it probably could be stuff from section um but I assume he's also like the the dark or the the the heavy dense foam versus the like squishier porous foam as long as it's white and clean it's still okay yeah that's what I'm getting from this okay yeah so I'm sure we could put together something that makes it clear yeah and I I can definitely do we know what he does you know his what his act like what actually is done with the styrofoam uh yes so what he does with the styrofoam is it actually gets melted down and turned into um like other like cuz polystyrene is like a type of plastic so it actually gets remade into like other things like rulers and stuff like that so he basically makes these like little cubes of plastic so so on my understand is he kind of made the pellets that somebody would use to make something yes okay gotcha so he produces he produces a raw material that other people can then turn into other Plastic Products yeah yep okay Ty this is Dave pasio do you think Matt would be willing maybe a little further down the road when this is starting to come together uh to come to one of our meetings and we all kind of share our information and questions and and you know at some point down the road where it's about maybe about to launch make sure all the eyes are dotted and te's crossed um so that it's a move a smooth transition into the recycling that Dave good suggestion in fact Tyler I mean we're I'm very excited for what you've done so done with this and go and keep running with it and we just don't we want to make I think we're trying to just make sure it doesn't kind of fall you know that it when it's launched it's a successful program yeah yeah and and there's not little things that we find out afterwards because obviously we're GNA have to present this to folks and I want to just make sure it goes soon so if you know you know the questions like the bags maybe maybe Matt would be willing to you know come to our be at be whether it's Zoom or in person at our next meeting yeah maybe okay uh the other thing for Tyler is to uh contact I'm not actually sure who to contact is such a uh in the middle of change over on the executive level in town but we have a recycling program and there are at least two people that assist in managing that program so even if they don't have answers to questions or possibly contact that you can get additional information on grants uh they can point you in the right direction okay thank you all right guys sorry guys I got a visitor that keeps popping in to the camera the other thing you got to figure too is that once you make the investment on the uh dumpster that that's a more or less a one-time deal with a little bit of maintenance cost probably yeah so so Dave we're looking we're looking at this as a container so it's one of those like uh shipping containers as opposed to a dump right but we might even get like a local maybe there's somebody who will sponsor it or something a local investor since it's a one-time purchase or onetime fee right correct yes so that that might be a way to get the funding of the Box itself dealt with and then just to cover it in my mind hanford's going to have a drop off point for residents to drop and then they're going to move the material or the bags from there to the container in the back of the store or the rear of the store um yes okay so there's going to be like a sort of a drop off there's so there's going to be like I guess two options there's there can be like a drop off bin which we've talked about like in the front of the store near the cans yep and that will get moved to the back by employees or something like that and then I guess there's another option of just going straight to the back of the store if you like I guess know where it is and stuff like that all right yeah think we'd have to look at this because the last thing I want is that you know folks are dumping things that they're not supposed to in there yeah and this it will have a lock on it I I mean I understand the container will have a lock but you know whatever this bin is you know it right I mean I know even the fact when I go in there and do cans and they don't take half the cans I just want to leave them there I don't want to take them home yeah so yeah that's that's the whole thing I don't want uh the wrong styrofoam to be put in there and then they got then Hanford has to deal with it yeah so it should be a certain size clear plastic bag so I guess we got to find out from uh uh chis guess I'm gonna have to find out from Matt what kind of bag this is from the recycler right you know yeah makes sense Chris it sounds like he's gonna Supply a bag similar to like the town supplies for our uh pay and throw system for rubbish so it's going to be very clearly identifiable I would expect because Matt's not going to want 10 different types of bags to deal with he's going to want to be able to identify his bag when he's grabbing them out of the uh container that type of deal right I'm just thinking that to to to make sure that people are um disposing of um or you know or recycling the proper kind of plastic identifying this through a bag might be uh you know being able to see what's inside the bag clearly uh would be able to help just because I know uh cross-contamination in recycle materials is is a is a real problem you know people get rid of anything that they can if they think they're getting away with it yeah like hiding Shing does does he have other collection sites that are sorry go ahead Dave no go ahead I was make a wise crack comment go ahead so I was just asking if if the if Matt organization has other collection sites that are already like set up and operational that might you know I not saying I can necessarily go swing by but if we know where he does we could always check out an existing operation and see what that looks like and how it would translate to us yeah good question I don't know if there's any need us but I can definitely ask him to see like where else okay yeah I think it's just you know we definitely want to make this work it's just you know making sure we're not caught the prized or end up you know like there's the clothing uh collection bin between Hanford and Walmart that has a heck of a lot more than clothing being dropped off by it right so it's sort of we want to make sure Hanford isn't going to regret their decision to get involved yeah I think having the primary drop point inside the building is going to deter a lot of that we just uh in my eyes and it's up to the store management uh I think Dave was right earlier saying that I don't think we want a lot of U random traffic around the back side of the building true right yeah and if the back's locked I think that would make it hard for people to drop it off because they'd have to go inside to get it unlocked or or whatever need to do yeah yeah yeah so I I definitely agree that the idea would be is um if there was a drop point inside you know and the whole idea is that hanford's looking at it as it's causing you to go into the store yeah to maybe shop right right while I'm here yeah yeah exactly right all right excellent so um Tyler I'm really excited about this um uh you know appreciate all the work if you I guess the question is um you know we'll look to have a meeting next month and if Matt would be willing to you know join us for the meeting for some questions yeah definitely ask that too okay excellent excellent because you know like I say yeah are they if is it black bags is it you know clear bags is it things like that so um you know I want I want this to be successful yeah okay excellent excellent all right all right so I'm going to move on there is a um a a grant available coming up well first of all you know as you guys know we've applied for um a green Community grant for the spring for the you know fall Grant period we're still waiting to hear should hear I think it's the end of next month that well the end of February early March that we'll hear whether or not whether what we received and what what if we received anything on the grant okay but as we know what we've talked about many times is the idea is that you know right now we really don't have a a good way of knowing what buildings what what's what we could do what we can even do for Grants um you know um I must say uh Susan Gilson the person who does Finance at the schools in the school district was amazing when it came to like understanding what we were trying to do with the HVAC how we were benefiting the schools and basically pushing people to get all the information together in a very short period to apply for the grant um I I must give her a lot of credit credit for that but you know in in reality there's obviously other buildings in town um but there is a big push this year for um for schools and getting getting things with and getting things with schools so I I sent out a little notice about a um a grant that's Avail a grant that's available in um that's going to be Avail available in March um is the deadline is March 7th I think it is to apply so we have some time to get this together and what it would be is a technical assistant award for $115,000 to help us identify possible programs or possible things that we can do for the next round of Grant of funding type of thing so it's the technical assistant categories are like any um here let me let me share a screen sorry about this um share did F did folks get a chance to to um to look take a look at that or am I and or am I just back babbling for the sake of babbling I didn't get a chance to look okay well good all right all right yeah I kind of looked at it um I usually pass it on to uh like the schools and stuff but they've been swamped with their own issues yes most recently so I've I've been leaving them alone okay okay so the categories are this um energy resilience um um so uh site site assessments energy resources this woman I thought was a little tough um to go for uh there's a heating ventilation and air conditioning which I thought that's Prime because um they've done a couple of phases at the elementary school and there's still one phase to go with that as well as um we've been talking well we've been talking about things for Turkey Hill um as well for um HVAC for going mini this would be the idea of going Mini Splits the only problem here is that you need to do have done an audit to to say that the building is properly weatherized and insulated that ain't happening at Turkey Hill right now that might be that would be tough yes correct where we get it we get away with it at the elementary school because it says it cannot be further insulated without maor Renovations because it's brick or masonry building okay so that that's why I feel like the elementary school is okay it's going to be tough for a the middle school right now that so that was another program um audit of electrical Oil propane electrical resistance resistance heating buildings this is a definite one this ashro level two okay because you know we have so many buildings that are oil oil or propane heated buildings in this town so I'm not sure I'm not sure what ashray level two is um then we have um this owner agent application of soliciting for Energy Service Company must have been issued so this I'm not sure what this is this next one but you know we and I'm not sure what an energy saving performance contract is I I'm looking to I'm trying to do a little bit more research on that right now um the public water supply and Waste Water treatment facility Dave I thought this was interesting based on the uh Sewer Commission so energy efficient technical assistance of process so maybe this is something for the Sewer Commission to look into Dave uh this came out of uh do uh age right correct okay so Kelly is still our representative correct for this okay yes um you know at some point either maybe it' be a advantageous for you to have a conversation with her rather than uh or asking her to come on the meeting to because she knows lunenberg and she should I'm assuming understands what these offerings are and could highlight the ones that we could concentrate on or we have the best chance of U you know getting some benefit from okay all right and again you know we have a little bit of a window but uh a month is not a lot not a huge window especially with some of the requirements uh that are impossible to pull off in that short period of time if they're not already in place okay so I'll look to schedule that for our next meeting with Kelly okay uh this retro commission was is another one I thought was um was interesting so there are some things in that I think we we do qualify Community shares solar anybody interested in that that could be interesting for for a lot of people maybe right so we've we've they um we've been approached if you remember about doing the town landfill and making a solar farm there but you know I don't know if it makes if it makes sense if I'm going to utilize this person's Services is that the best use of the services but I agree it would be interesting to look at Dave I think you're aware on that on that landfill that uh doing a solar project on there given perfect condition ground conditions and surface conditions over there uh is kind of like a no-brainer but the way that landfill was capped it's it's a liability waiting to happen the minute you disturb anything over there agree agree I said I feel like our needs are more on the buildings right now right then worrying about this there's enough there's enough there's a lot of solar projects people could be part of right now in town and things like that okay so it's some as I mentioned you know it's this was just posted January 10th it's due on March 7th so we do have time to put this together and E I think this is I think this might be a nice Grant to help us identify and uh um some upcoming programs to do Dave you foresee uh the same process we use for the green Comm communities competitive Grant where uh Kelly's our adviser Karen Chapman um pulls together the information and fills in the application and goes from there and submits or is this going to be more inhouse than what we've done in the past I I have to talk to Karen to make sure it's in the scope of what she does for us okay if not it might be more inhouse and um um let me just go jump to that um okay project summary was easy scope of services and you know so anyway it's the I let's I I get I I agree with you Dave let me get Kelly have a conversation with Kelly and see if she can talk to me talk to us about which programs we might be best suited for yeah now based on the date we're going to be up against the deadline within a day or two at our next meeting well um correct maybe let's let me let me talk to Kelly and see if I can maybe have a conversation we can have a conversation earlier yeah if and if need be you know for a a vote of the committee to say yes we want to move forward with a basically a synopsis from you as to what is going to be applied for I think we could pull that off in an emergency meeting okay yep I'm with you because I I I I really I'm struggling right now guys because of that's what the whole idea is that know we really need the help if if it to apply for any major grants or major programs available um just to ask the PE you know ask the employees of the town is not doesn't seem to be the best way way to do this when it's if it's out of their scope of daily daily job it's becoming difficult and until the new budget comes out for uh 2026 I'm really not sure what's going to happen with that $50,000 that was plugged into 2024 and never got used uh or maybe it was no I think it was 25 hasn't been used so far for grant writing services the U interim Town manager openly suggested that there was a better use for that money but I didn't quite understand his rationale beyond that in his comments so kind of waiting to see where that 50,000 is going okay and I think I told you guys when I when I went to that green Community Summit I sat next to a gentleman from from Rockport and that was his sole job for rock the town of Rockport was to write brands and they had a part-time building inspector part-time water guy part-time sewer guy you know part well water and and things like that and and conservation guy because they felt it was more important to pay for somebody to write grants he did that and the intertown manager in his comments again I didn't get the whole gist of where he was going with it but in the middle of it he said something to the effect that uh a full-time grant writer uh in today's employment atmosphere is in the realm of $60,000 a year which even at $60,000 a year if he generates a half a million dollars in Grants a year then uh that's a win-win that's a no to that's a no-brainer all he has to do is generate $100,000 in Grants this town could use it right yeah oh yeah definitely trying to make the numbers look like you know something that actually could be achieved right I mean the grant writer should essentially pay for themselves in the grants that they bring in right so it definitely is a no-brainer yeah yeah yeah the only the only thing and a grant writer would know this the there are certain grants that allow administrative cost to pay for the grant writer expense and others do not but you still you still make out yeah even if it's not directly funded the funds that you don't have to pay because we got the grant more than make up for the person's salaries totally agree okay who likes to write right all right so guys um give me a I might ask for a quickie meeting in a couple of weeks just based Bas on this based on the time frame I forget I I forget that we're already in February I'm still sitting here thinking that it's Jan we're talking beginning of January so I was saying oh we can meet for the February meeting we do this and then we' i' we'd have three weeks for but Dave I appreciate you pointing out that time is time is fleeting quickly from a single Bachelor we could do it on February 14th as far as I'm concerned I understand well let let me see how quickly I have again wise crack joke more than anything no no I appreciate back if we do that okay all right so let me I'll table I I'll find out more information on that as we go um you know these are some of the new programs available you know the idea would be I don't you know is it up to the I it I would like to have it so that the green committee is assessing programs that have possibilities versus right now we are chasing people to come up with programs right now and I know if you guys tune in tomorrow they're going to have the building reuse committee is meeting with the selectman to talk about the cost of doing the new town hall and um redoing the present Town Hall as a town meeting room and I think it's going to be quickly rejected so um but that's just that's just my insight as to what's going on as a member of that committee type of thing I was asked by a citizen to um provide information like I have in the past off the department of revenues uh tax impact uh formula page yeah and I gave that person the numbers I just haven't had time to uh print out a screenshot um the tax impact per million on the town of LG's taxpayers uh especially when you get well it it's pretty clear I mean last year's override was just short of a million dollars and for the average home I believe it was um in the realm of uh $200 a year uh so if you're going to go 5 million multiply that times five you're going to go 15 million multiply it by 15 um the numbers are easily calculable in yes it it's it's out of this world yeah I I agree agree and and Dave I don't disagree with the money needing to be spent see that's the problem I made the comment uh Capital planning I think the other night or one of the meetings that lunenberg problem is that we have not kept up with doing capital projects over the past 20 to 30 years so now we've got $25 million worth of work backed up that nobody wants to look at the increase for that kind of money being uh added to the the uh Levy so we've shot ourselves in the foot agree agree 100 per. okay all right so I'm just guys because I'm gonna trying to be cognizant of your time tonight and things of that um things so um one of the things I like to talk a little bit about is committee committee makeup I feel terrible because I feel like I've I've let you guys down in the fact that I haven't been able to be consistent with setting up meetings and doing things of that sort I don't mind the first Monday of the month works for me for meetings I just need um I'm going to be asking to see if I can get some help when it comes to you know coordinating making sure that we get get get some kind of an agenda in and things of that sort to to be able to have the meetings to have to still have the meetings on that first Monday of the month I missed out in January think I missed out in December but um it's it's been it's I'm finding myself neglecting neglect I time passes by too quickly for me right now so I'm asking if any of any of you would be willing to help when it comes to um you know helping set up up the zoom and getting an agenda to the town folks for for this meeting Dave I'm sure I can do something like that it's I mean it's I can set a reminder in my calendar and we just go over like all that's required for that at some point you and I can connect on that but I think I can take that on okay I mean obviously we'd love to find a place to meet but um I'm okay with just if we're doing it at Zoom whatever is I will realiz everybody's time is getting to be is too valuable for things and as as Dave Dave was so nice to point out to me it's it's TW the first month of 2025 has already passed me by that's right Dave the other thing that you guys might consider is putting together a very generic agenda that uh if you had to you can revise right up to the last morning of the meeting and so you'd have that generic agenda that either one of you could submit the week before say on Wednesday to make sure it gets in um but then if there's or even before I mean you could give the the um town clerk's office uh generic agenda that's to be posted for every first Monday of the month right something like Grant update project updates exactly good idea something like that yep yeah and then and then if there's something specific that you feel can't be covered in other items may be uh addressed to the limits of the open meeting law then go in and do a a revised one up to the morning of the meeting and add that to it but at least you've got a basic agenda that allows you to meet on every one of those first Mondays unless you cancel it it's a good idea all so so Matt thank you I appreciate that we'll get together um I don't know if you know Heidi with the schools but she does the zoom she sets up all the zoom things she'll she can give you several months of Zooms in a you know to be able to fill in the blanks for Zoom Y and and guys I you know it my feeling is it's probably easiest to do Zoom unless we have some specific stuff to kind of look at and cover at some time yeah yeah not to Short Circuit this conversation but uh I heard some and it's all rumor I have not clarified it yet that something new relative to open meeting law is going to be coming out of Boston by the end of February uh I've heard some pretty extreme changes uh that I can't believe they're going to entertain so I'm not even going to bring them up I just we need to be aware that there may be some major changes to uh the way we conduct our business as a public body okay am I going to enjoy him or not enjoy him um that's all right let me put it this way the the rumors I heard were extremely unrealistic compared you know considering what we've been doing for the past three years okay all right cool okay all right so so um I'm going to move on for my next thing is Tyler I apologize I will talk to the town again about you becoming a member Now Dave can you help clarify for me again we have we have alternates or what do we have we have no we have we have two associate members along with our five voting seats um I sent you a note the other day that in the process of getting Tyler onto the committee and and the rest of the committee probably should uh pipe in on this um I think it would be prudent to request that the select board change the configuration of the green communities committee and replace those two Associates with two alternates that way that way your alternates can step in if you don't have a and I was thinking about it today I'm not sure they may only be able to step in to make quarum that we would have to double check but at least you could make Quorum if you have an alternate on the on the meeting or present at the meeting to step in um also want you to be aware that uh my involvement with this committee is not forever um I'm I'm envisioning through the winter and probably not much Beyond that so you guys are just aware that um you know I I I've been telling a lot of people you could take David out of lunberg but you can't take all of lunberg out of David so that that's my position right now but I need to I need to sever a few more chords in the next six months okay well Dave appreciate all the help you've been G you given us and take it we'll take every moment we can get um guys I guess that's a call for us to you know start talking to friends family and others about whether you have anybody who you think would have a passion to become a member another member of the meeting type of thing so I I do take that I I'll take that onto advisement I'll talk to the selectman I'll try to have a Ty I'll try to have a joint meeting I'll make sure it fits into your schedule of a getting you as a member but also changing that from an associate member to an alternate member um as part of the zoning board I know the alternate me alternate members are allowed to vote so the idea was you'd still be you would have full voting privileges if you know if we don't have the well as you know over and above the five five up to the five votes that we do as a committee hey Dave so you can answer this question truthfully when the select board asks you I make a motion that the committee uh authorize you to uh talk with the select board in regards to converting our two associate members to alternate members and um start the process to get Tyler onto our committee second do excellent excellent any further discussion on that from that folks all right I'll take a vote then I'll go I'll go with M Duffy hi Mr pasos hi all right Mr Snider hi and Mr Holden hi excellent all right the eyes have it because oh I'll go I as well so it's a unan unanimous um I will look I will push to do that I got a couple weeks to do this so I'll be all set okay excellent all right so I'm gonna open up the form now is there any anything else that anybody has that they would like to discuss um I did not get for for for some reason when you were reading through this is Chris by the way I'm I know I'm on a phone I don't know if everybody else is on the computer um I did not get a working link to tonight's meeting that's why I called in on my phone yep Chris I apologize what for some reason when I did it in Google Docs it doesn't become an active link you had to like copy yeah I was yeah I was I past ones I've been able to open them and um at least see this that I couldn't get this one at all I couldn't highlight it copy it you know do anything with it um and also I didn't see the document that you were reading off of when you were going through the available projects that we could look at um if you could somehow um get that out before the next meeting that would be great uh I I will I will I will send that out to everybody right now the com oh all right yeah I mean I I looked through you know a few past things and I didn't see that you know those any of the items that you were looking at but that's kind of why I was quiet through that whole thing I was scanning my old emails and stuff okay I I will definitely look to make sure that I appreciate you're telling me that because uh as I said I'm not I haven't been the best lately at all this stuff it's everybody's too busy it's very challenging yes yeah um and all right so let me do that um let's do reply all okay okay um anything else from anybody I got a public service announcement Dave but I want to make sure the committee's done with our work sounds like it is yeah I'm done I don't have anything um yeah this is a public comment um above and beyond the reach of this committee um as a former taxpayer and still a registered voter in the town of lunenberg uh like to remind everybody that uh election season is coming up in May and I know the Facebook pages and a number of locations the available positions uh that are open uh to be filled this spring have been published uh pretty widely around town of note the board of Selectmen have two positions uh up for grabs uh to the best of my knowledge one of the two positions that's up to this year will go for reelection that's not been announced formally as far as I know but I believe that's going to happen the other one um is an open seat so um you know and and we have needs elsewhere in other committees and Boards as we have all year uh please consider running the um ah forgot the name of it what's in March oh the uh um uhau caucus yeah citizens caucus is coming up in in mid-march and that is the easiest way in the world to get on the ballot all you need to do is show up there or have a couple Representatives show up there and nominate you for a position that's open on the ballot and if you are nominated by the caucus then you don't have to go through the nomination process uh with the paperwork and everything so I encourage uh people there there's a lot of new people in town I've been contacted by a few that are in the process of what they call going through their warning curve and don't feel they're quite ready but um I encourage anybody that is ready jump in there's a real need thank you for the yeah thank you Dave thanks Dave I haven't seen any of that information um posted anywhere maybe I'm just not looking in the right places is there somewhere in particular it's been popping up on some of the lunenberg Facebook pages but I believe it's on the uh town clerk's page if you go to the town clerk and and open that up there should be a document there and there was a complete calendar also that was posted recently oh in fact oh shoot thank you Dave that reminded me of something oh darn it um um bear with me a second here yep here we go okay so uh let me go zoom zoom share here we go all right share all right so this is a different calendar but this is um this is from the doe site of what things coming up so we talked about this Municipal energy technical assistant that's due March 7th coming up opportunity there there's a municipal decarbonization roadmap assistance one let me do some more research on that I'll have to I I kind of just saw this but there's obviously there's a March 28th but there is a block at March 25th as well as a regional school you know Regional School District so we're not a Regional School District so I don't know if we qualify there um Regional energy planning assistance this is if we wanted to get together with other towns in the region and they will let us combine for a person to help all of us so there there's some things there's some new programs opening that um um that might be interesting to us yeah that climate leader communities technical support is kind of similar to the technical assistance one but you have to be a green community so the the climate leader one is you have to be a there's a there is a different designation there's a climate leader Community ah which I don't I honestly I don't know out let me get Kelly to meet with us to talk to us the difference between the two yeah Dave uh you definitely check with her but I believe we do at this point do not qualify for that because that designation would have kicked in another 25,000 with the competitive Grant correct correct so these are just new some other things coming up guys for for us to possibly deal with yeah I know you guys uh we almost done but I have a drop dead time of my alarm just went off um I have a public meeting up here that I need to attend and I have to actually have to drive to this one they don't do anything by Zoom all right well go ahead we get Dave thanks for joining have a great evening you too you're introducing yourself to another Community yes go kick some butt up there Dave yeah excellent so guys any anything else on the agenda that you guys want to do no I'm gonna keep doing um keep thinking of um when I put the on the Facebook page about the street lights I've just been uh just slacking because of school and then once we get the fall grant information back then I'm think I wanted to do something for that as well but that I got Tim not Kim Kim Kim I'm okay with that the fact of the matter is is that if we if if if we end up getting the fall Grant and being able to hand the school $200,000 believe us believe me I'm looking to make a splash all over the place on that you know so that I feel like it's the only way to get some help in this town yeah definitely have to highlight those achievements yeah yeah excellent excellent all right so let me ask this is this time good for people or would you on on the first Monday or would you rather have it later you talk to me a little bit because I'd like to talk about the next meeting anything before six is tough for oh I'm the other way anything before is either works because I'm commuting from from Auburn but all right this is Chris um if we're meeting in person later is definitely a little bit better for me though Mondays are usually okay um if I can if we can zoom in I I can be pretty flexible all right legally the same for me if in person later is better but I can do earlier if it's Zoom what would 6:30 would would 6:30 work at all if we didn't if we just did it at that and said whether it's Zoom or in person say doing something like 6:30 I can do that this is Chris yeah yeah work works for mat too yeah for me all right Tyler your thoughts um personally right now um I have hockey at like 7 o'clock so I have to leave at like 650 is well not at 7 o'clock but I have to leave at 650 is um but I could probably zoom in for like the first 20 minutes it's I could be flexible around that and sort of shoot my points off real quick and then leave so I could probably be flexible about that all right so let's say this we're gonna set the next one up for six o'clock let's set it up for six o'clock and be a zoom meeting does that work okay for you Matt yeah yep okay all right so we'll just do Zoom but we'll do it six o'clock this way it gives a little gives you a little time to get towards the Homestead and uh we'll just do it as a zoom meeting next time that way Tyler if you need to drop off at 650 you're you we'll we'll take we'll take whatever time 6:45 we'll take whatever time we can get with you all right perfect thank you EXC okay sounds good so whatever the first Monday of the month is in March I don't have oh it's gonna be the same it's the third okay it's the third of March all right and Matt I'll work with you so we can set something up with uh you know getting a zoom getting a recurring zoom and all that stuff sounds good all right excellent hi this this is Chris um do we have a so are you gonna set up a um kind of an urgent urgent short-term meeting coming up here I short cycle meeting I I might let me find out from Kelly what the whether she feels we are as a town where El we have what it takes for any of those okay okay just kind of reminder thought there yeah yeah so I wouldn't be doing it next week it would be the following week all right y just keep us posted please you got it you got it right all right excellent all right anything else folks motion to adjourn second all right and I'm going to do my roll call vote Miss Duffy hi Mr Holden hi Mr Snider I and an I from me all right tyo next time you're voting okay I'll get you in there so guys forward to it Kyler yes appreciate that once again appreciate all the help with the styrofoam stuff yeah great job great job on that all right guys enjoy the evening um enjoy the warm weather and uh we'll look forward to talking to you again thanks again thank you good night everybody thanks everyone bye right right
