America and to the for stand one nation under God indivisible with liy and justice for all thank you let's give big round of [Applause] applause all right great job that's how we start our B every day do you remember that when you were right okay um so tonight we're here for our Board of Education meeting that they come to every month so thank you everybody for calling and tonight Cliffwood gets the host so I'm very excited about this so I wanted to recognize our students who have a 100% attendance so far this school [Applause] [Music] year I hope everybody's paying attention to those really important newsletters I send every Sunday right every around 5:00 and in there we've been discussing how important it is to be coming to school every single day so we want to show you how much that means to us and we want to recognize our students who've been coming I also want to thank the families for that because at this stage it has a lot to do with you to so thank you for that we really appreciate it we have a long of students which is a great thing so I'm going to call them up by grade and then we're going to come up and the teachers will help and we're going to pass out the certificates okay so yeah so we'll start with prek so any prek students that are here with 100% attendance if you can come up if the pre teachers want come off too you come off congratulations any other students they can call with their families [Applause] great job everybody nice [Applause] job and we have k k can come up with 100% attendance congratulations to Kar a big round of [Applause] our firsters one more round of [Applause] applause come on grab your jacket okay all right how about let's have second grade our second [Applause] graders great [Music] job great job and last but not least our third graders congratulations to our [Music] [Applause] at this time as the third graders are getting their certificates can we have all the students with 100% attendant to come up for a picture we need a picture of you all certificate [Music] certificate all right everybody come up for one big picture [Music] oh oh boys and girls we have a special [Applause] guest all right by you take a picture [Music] I my pre students in the front pre students in the [Music] front let's take our picture ready get wait wait over here here backgr all right [Applause] know new we also share that every day we check each whole room to see who has 100% attendance and we have a m board outside in the hallway here and every class that has 100% attendance each day brings down a clip foot Paul heans clip very happy right clip yes and at the end of the month we see which classes have the highest percentage of 100% attendance and they get extra who knows you get extra what who doesn't like extra reset right yeah all right so that program can going very well we're exitting about that so next up what what the night is also dedicated to is our amazing community members and our amazing businesses in this community who have gone above and beyond to support Cliffwood school I ask if we can recognize them because I believe that this is very important when I first came to Clif school one of the sayings that I always heard is we are flip foot proud and that really stuck with me and I realized what that means is the commitment dedication and passion that the community members that the community businesses in this community have the dedication they have to our school and to our students to make it as amazing as it is so I think it's very important to recognize them and to thank you all for that so let's give them all a big round of [Applause] applause so without further Ado we're going to start recognizing our community members and our first one is actually a Manan Regional High School student Matthew long conations so I'm let so Matthew is going to share what he's been doing for Clifford school and all the schools here and that school district all right so I'm a senior at the high school and as you can tell um but I'm very into theology which is the study of flages so for every school including Cliffwood I've created a flag find for them so for Cliffwood specifically I made three designs and then I came here and presented it to each of um the students and they voted and if you you look up here the designs yeah on the left of the three designs it's a little small but eventually they chose one we'll show that in a minute and on the right is the flag design I made for the high school which is where I began and so without further ado we need a drum roll we like drum rolls in all [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] R so the final results I don't think oh so um it was really close between design one and three of this one one by one class um so the repres the representation the maroon and white um the school colors and Cliff in the center as the center piece [Applause] and uh specifically wanted the CPW proud slogan rather than Elementary so I Incorporated that and then the CL obviously means thewood the abbreviations thank you so [Applause] much I also P because they funded the flag and they also funded the banner for the cafeteria so let's give them a big of [Music] Applause holding the flag you hold it so Matthew's getting a certificant of appreciation and a photograph with the first flag you made for our district thank you [Applause] [Music] Matthew all right next up is everybody here at CFA knows her as Miss hun so I had to call her Miss hone so miss hone without further Ado please come up [Applause] [Music] cafeteria here and she knows every single student here she knows what they like she knows what they don't like and we could not R lunch without Miss honey and thank you Miss honey also this's husband owns a company in local in here and it's called d& d r right and I had an idea that I want this year our theme at wood is sing towards success and we wanted to get a boat in front of the school and to good even everyone there's just a few of us here this evening right um but great job M chair and the staff thank you so much for putting a wonderful presentation and recognizing our community members your students and staff um did a wonderful job and it's great to um for everyone to be acknowledged and really just to show the Gratitude um so this evening um short update um previously um in Prior months we've been working on school security um both with the public towns aine and mana and I've been keeping the board members in the community add at each meeting in terms of how we were um working towards having school security in each of our buildings I'm happy to say that throughout the process we've remained committed to providing safe and secure learning environment for all of our students and staff um we've been the board's been supported in terms of upgrading and continuing to upgrade school security cameras infrastructure and communication systems and this is something that we've been working on since the um the start of July 1 F school year tonight on on tonight's agenda um you'll see that there's aarian agency um we being recommended for school security this partnership allows us to have consistent school security officers in our district we're recommending that we have school security officers in each of our buildings um we're proposing that one full-time officer be assigned to the mid school one full-time officer to be shared FL Ro and store and one full-time officer sherff took with Drive the SRO will continue to be working at the high school and will also um be at Cambridge par and the various schools our relationship with aine and Manon remains strong in terms of the communicating with the police Chiefs um and the Town Council our private security however allows us an additional layer of security while being physically responsible as this is being fully funded through our security aid from the New Jersey Department of Education and our local budget if we go back to um our budget presentation and if you look at line items that is where um we we allotted um school security we funds there was an increase um for this current year and um we had planed to move forward with some sort of plan once the reprend reprend each of the officers they work 7.25 or to 7 half hours Monday through Friday Additionally the officers will be able to cover um any extracurricular activities as well the goal is and Still Remains the Same that any security officer or any police officer that getes into the building that the goal is to for them to build relationships with our students with our staff and the staff Community we expect the same from um and we had long discussions in terms of petarian agency being able to provide so we look forward to working with them they have years of experience in law enforcement ranging from various um various communities um at the level of Lieutenant Captain um working at the prosecutor's office and even having um both male and female and officers of color so in terms of diversity we are excited to that as well they are um the the security officers are licensed in New Jersey state police under the security officer registration act they have found the G extensive betting maining process they will be able to carry arms in the building they will be monitoring their interior and exterior of all buildings and they will offer additional Security in our hallways cafeteria as we D to cre safest leing environments each and every day they will be um the staff the security officers will be St um clo they'll have um they'll have uniform that'll say security officer so there easily identifiable um and they will also any control cars will be identified as well so they will be outside of the build um we look forward to working with them um the plan is to do a meeting gr with our administrative team um upon approval and then we will also then um be introducing to the community community events involved in that as well that concludes um my first part of theant report and now to thank you good even um there is a presentation behind if you want to slide chairs sh this so this evening we're going to share some information about student prod naesm in the district before we get into the presentation just to uh again e what we saw a little while ago um my presentation is not going to do justice what you saw a few minutes ago and then you was ch the three most important factors to improving student attendant we're in the room this evening the building principal teachers and the parents and you saw in practice tonight some of the things that are happening in the building and I encourage you when we walk out the doors later you can see the B more about attendance that that really is what this is all about that was a positive side of what we can do to impact kids and impact attendance what I'm going to share tonight is where we're at in terms of some of the data and some of the practices in order to move the whole District work to increase to so again the agenda we're to go through what it is what we're doing how we got there and how we improve what is chronic absenteeism so this is defined by the state of New Jersey that if we're missing 10% of the Academic Year for any reason then we're considered chronically absent if 10% of our district is absent 10% of so our students go to school for 180 days which means that if you are absent 18 days or more you be considered chronically absent so districtwide I'll just walk through this real quick start get the B working our way up the 2122 school year districtwide just over 15% of our total student population were considered proly absent the year after that 22 23 it's about the same 15.3% in 23 24 the data has not been released publicly I have seen it and I can tell you we Haven improv this but we're still above the threshold of 10% but we're moving in the right direction it brings us to this slide where it's now broken down by building by the same 3 years and you can see for the most part from year to year 21 22 22 23 the numbers stay about the same but they're all above 10% which means that every building up about 10% we're on a corrective action plan that in just a minute if you move from left to right ready given building you can see for the most part the numbers stay the same there's some decrease there's some increase get a load this last year's data it's in barod I'll share this with the PO in the district data dashboard that I shared last month you''ll be able to see this year in a few months but I can tell you this we are trending in the right direction in every building still above a threshold but when you see the number just say okay we're getting better so that's a good sign so what is a corrective action plan so again our buildings are up above to 10% then you have to follow these steps so you're not going to see the actual corrective action plan because there's student information that's incorporate in them but these are the categories that are on each building play so it's designated her building we have to show historical data by grade level by students at risk we just saw a snapshot of that we did give a survey out to our community there were 600 369 responses or about 23% of our families responded to the survey I'm going to show you that in just a moment in the action plan there have to tier strategies so think back to last year think back to the summer remember the pyramid we talked about mtss and interventions how to improve academics green on the bottom M on the middle red on top that same model works for attendant as well so our ctive action plan is based on that per we have to show areas for improvement and we have to talk about what has worked and what didn't work in our and then the progress is Su so we not only follow the data but we actually follow some of the practices that are in place are they working are we improving student attendance or not and then we have to justify that so what strategies are being implemented it's building specific because obviously the students at fard are mucher than the students at the high school with different expectations and different requirements so action plans and what we're doing to address the t is going to valed our good appropriate there's going to be a mix of universal things that we're want to do there are some and there some restorative practices it is a lie to improve work policy I just mentioned is based on the three tier system for improvement we do have to have attendance committees at each building which we do have so that when we have input from staff in the building and then there's regular monitoring of data so quarterly we meet with principles and we review the attendance dat to see this Pro so we start with the high school and obviously the high school we saw the numbers were were relatively High High terms of theism and when we get to the high school we know that seat time being in class is extremely important because this is what leads up to graduation and there are certain specific gradation requirements to tell so again you can see it this be consistent throughout an increments of four letters go home after four absences there's conferences after 10 days out working with the S principles working with school counselors meeting with students Stakes are high at high school so the more out the greater chance of loss of credit so those War letters do go home at 15 days for a full year course 7 days for a half year course calls go home bu School couns letter to home again that human piece that high school special you could repeat a grade you may have to do some makeup course work summertime summer school we to count for the sea time there are times where we do home visits if we're not hearing from families and the students been con be we do home visits on the positive side we do celebrate attendance at the high school so the freshman class after the first Mark period all the students who had per attendance Mark period one came into the auditorium they were celebrated recognized by building Administration there was raffle gift cards were given away students of the high school can earn hustle tickets for perp of attendance so it's happening we started with 9th and 10th graders because trying to build a pattern of attendance at the high school and when you look at attendance not only in Matan Regional High School but all high schools across the Jersey seniors have the worst attendance we also know that seniors the high school students have more control over their attendance they can drive to school they're making the choice to come to school or not when we get in younger grades is more the parent decision but high school a lot of that responsibility falls on the students are trying to create good habits with nth and 10th graders TI are part of that program we encourage participation in extracurricular activities starting in middle school high school we have a data and this is no secret kids who were involved in athletics extrac curriculum band theater they come to school because was a purpose become a school the more get involved the better their attendance is and the last bullet so this is for the high school H Cliffwood we're participating in an attendance collabora with some EAB as our research partner doing a national collaborative where schools come together via zoom and EAB share some research of best practices to improve student attendance and we start working with other schools to talk about what they're doing that works what's not working we share ideas and so collectively together we have an opportunity to to collaborate help through attendance that actually begins next Tuesday these are just B points I try to group it by what would be considered punitive versus positive and historical so Middle School you're start to see a pattern something are very similar so attendance letters phone calls Council meetings AB meetings these are happening with the middle school as well great there are the few pieces home businesss happen in Middle School it's been a focal the Middle School especially and lower for in parent presentations like at the school lights where the administration is talking about attendance it's in newsletters the Middle School you just heard uh lindsy mentions in the student report the incentive challenge has started at the middle school and then again encouraging participation where you would have a first opportunity to do things after school but Middle School to get kids involved in help schol T Elementary so again same Ty pattern keep calls and administrative meetings that these are more student focused to parent more so than student to student at the the high school you see the element school is more about connecting with families and parents so it's been a FOC point for parent presentations and newsletters we try to send out the messages that we're here to support families and really educate them about attendance because when you're talking your your youngest Learners and B your first child and you're really not so sure about what the attendant policies are we do Senor child of school or not we're really working with our younger students and their fam who to get them educated about coming to school now I'll show you just real quick if you look at the bottom right hand corner you've seen these pictures kind of pop up on each of the slides so those are Graphics that were supported the district by the Department of Education and meant to send out information to families in quick War liners and blurbs of the importance of coming to school and the impact good attendance has when students attend regularly so those type of messages are being sent out in News letters espe the elementary levels again incentives and reward challenges you saw that in action tonight and then Cliffwood is representing the element schools on the E okay so in one of them uh buets earlier on we talked about the survey to parents part of a corrective action plan we need feedback from community members so we sent the survey app the May December was open for a couple of weeks and then the data came back in So this this is right problem with the survey so you seeing what the the input was for families so the question was are you aware of the district's attendant policy and a majority of the respondents said yes we are aware that there is an attendant policy great that's good news however are you if you're aware of the policy how familiar familiar are you with the Poli policy itself so you might know what's out there but you know what's in the policy you know what is directing you as a parent to do so a little bit more concerned about 60% said we're somewhat not very familiar with the policy so they knew it's there they just don't what's in it that's important information for us that's telling us through our action plan into the buildings one of the first things we need to do is one make the policy more visible and easy to find website should hold and then educate parents about what's in the policy so at every level all the action plans were addressing the visibility communication and education of our how important is daily student attendance at school you can see that most parents and Guardians recognize the import dailing TS that's great news if you look at the red and that little green silver piece of the pie it represents 177% of the respondents are saying um it's either not important or somewhat important that lines up to the number of students who mooving proper ABS so that those first couple slides it said about 70% of proper absy and here we go hearing the feedback right from home about 17% are saying not so much that's the important number that we're going to start to to focus so in the opinion of parents which the following do you consider acceptable reasons for a student to be asked from school 100% of the responding said illness yes if your child is sick they should stay home from the school and they're allowed to stay home from the school they're say and then at the bottom the bottom in terms of responders if few said family obligation responsibility would be to accept the reason to stay home everything else seems to to fall in the m so this is the next interesting one have you ever felt unsure about whether to send your child to school to do their health it's almost we split half said yes I don't want to send them half said no I don't that's important that's going into our action plan that's the next that we're going to address we educating parents on when is it okay to send your child to school if they have a running nose keep them home or send them to school you send them to school if they're vomiting or they have a high gaver you keep them home or you send them to school keep them home so we've done communication at the beginning of the year you know letter that's got home to school but clearly that's not enough so we're working on a couple of things to roll out the second half of the year at the beginning of next year in the fall to really get in front of parents and educate them to move that number so they have a better idea of when to sunas school that should help with our numers communication how would you prefer to be notified about your child's absences this was interesting so the majority of respondents said that they would like a text message from the school about attendance so we have limited capabilities to do group text messages it's a snow day we can send that out via text what we're going to work on is narrowing that down to the building and then narrowing that down to specific families some of the feedback that we've gotten from EAB was when you're doing text messages and this work in other districts you need a little more empathy so rather than saying you've been out four times you've been out three times and get to school and here all the bad things that happen if come to school how about on the third Ence before you get that letter let's be a little bit more empathetic and say we haven't seen you in a couple days we're worried about you is there something that we need to know that's something that we're be working on from the building level out to communities as well and that is being how often would you like to receive updates about your child's attendance majority say that they want Communications as needed so if you were to do this survey again this question needs to be cleaned up a little bit more because we really want to know what does as needed me it's a little too open-ended but I think if you could address the text message piece that will allow us the communication vle this you have numbers that would make a little more sense but this question we can okay there were two opportunities for parents to give open-ended feedback the first question for open was what do you see as a barrier preventing your child from coming to school regularly are there any factors that we need to know about and so when I went through the data I recoup ones that popped up most often first one there were 29 comments about illness absolutely makes sense based on 100% that they would be good child they were S I guess interesting several parents have mentioned concerns about mental health and anxiety for their students that was a reason why they would keep their child home there were comments about Transportation or lack of Transportation there are comments the next went about some doctors only have appointments during school hours that that's a that's reality so we understand that but there are times we have to kind of work around that that's out of our control there were some comments about facilities and lack of plous and schools that might be contributing to their child's health there are comments about sports schedules being too going back into this I don't believe this was middle school high school sports schedules but this was Recreation schedules that were running to late in the evening and then their child is over bed later oring up later so I think that's more recreationist Sports couple comments on school culture which will make sense in a minute comment about family vacations so and we've heard this before that there are some families who can only take vacations during the school time that's important to them to their family and so that it's going their their patients and then a comment about high school start time being to ear which there's plenty of research about when you change start times with the older students how it impacts their mental health it impacts their grades a lot of important research around got them the last opportunity for a feedback that there are comments regarding theend this is now wide open if there anything that you want to tell us about attends go ahead this is your your chance so there were a couple people who said PR back fall break this is the week that leads into njba conferences a teachers convention we did that once before there are districts in M ocean counties who do that and so the the Cs said this we're taking off that if you want to improve attendance if we close that entire week then we don't have to worry about our attendance because everything's closes so while that's a valid point at the end of the day we have to C it's 180 days and limited to where we can ship these and take days off good feedback but it's not no easy to to do with in the power and then next tenant policies to strict and it causes anxiety resulting in absences but we need to have strict policies in order to be able to take the next steps the next one it's in yellow for a reason so there was comments about confusion of excused versus unexcused that's good feedback it it's confusing so what we're going to do is and this was some feedback from the board as well we appreciate this getting this more visible on our website so as soon as you are without having to to drill down and dig deep for attendance policies how about some information about excused versus unexcused yes we're going to do that we haven't been sent out letters in the fall that maybe we take a different approach then a form letter really trying to do some explanation and some examples of what's excused versus unexcused this is important for the purpose of chronic absenteeism it doesn't matter if you're absent 10% or more you're considered chronically absent regardless of what labels are ab and then goes on talks about excuse ABS people more Le in some parents said I'm just going to send my kids to school sick some parents said I'm not going to send my kids to school sick later start time after the high school so we see that again continue to offer incentives School Street were fun so again you saw that in practice tonight the kids were happy to come tonight was well supported to me we're doing that fin a solution for students to stop spreading germs so I I had a similar reaction the first time I read that and up a couple of times I said that's very difficult to do but actually the more you think about it that's pretty insightful because they are things that we can do to help stop spreading germs and that's educating parents equ to and the cas scho so it actually makes sense going back that pie chart whether you were unsure said or not so now you're just seeing a narrative for so actually it doesn't make sense we can't prevent stopping spreading germs by a magic WS but there are practices we can put in place educating parents is the first step keeping C schools is an important step so there are things that actually you can do which ties to the next confusion about wom to send the home working on that parents have asked to be more flexible allow students to take as much time as needed we can't do that there are standards that are important you have to come to school to be educated you can't be as comped as people would like school expectations are too high into stressful we can work through the stressful part but I had shared this with the principales when I said congratulations our expectations are too high that's a good thing you should have high expectations of coming to school is more about that and then too many messages about 10 minutes going home that's also a good thing that means that they're getting they're getting a message there may be some confusion maybe some clarity but we're doing what we need to do in order to get the message out and part of that message is and I'll say it again you can be absent 17 times and that be considered probally absent if you're sick you can stay home that's okay that's a lot of time it's almost a couple days a month that you're allowed to particular out it's important to be in school it's very diff the time where you're not in school but if you're sick there's opportuni this so that's in terms of the presentation on the agenda I'll pause but I get to on my part of the agenda that we're asking the board to approve the resolution for the corrective action plans that we we've done the survey we put the plans together we shared with the bo next month when we are monitoring through Pac they're going be seeing a similar presentation actually looking at the corre action plans so level of accountability for the district at the state level so that would be the The Next Step the other intermediate steps we're working with the principl to look at quarterly data and to put some of the actual incentives in place like we saw this Mr President questions so thank you so much for running the survey thank you so much for analyzing the data so thoroughly I want to ask you a follow question one thing that you talked about J know was true is the percentage of students who are aligned with activities of sports directly impacts POS attendance do you have any sense of the percentages of the schools that the students are involved is that part of your evaluation right now it is and on the um District Das that I shared December one of the colored lines actually shows participation extracurricular so we have the data we can break it down it's it's middle school high school primarily High School data is more detailed more reliable because there's a lot more activities so we can look at who's participating in what and we can align it to their attendance we haven't done this but we can we also look at student attendance and extracurricular align to to achievement I was hoping you would take a look at all of that the data is so strong that if you have a reason I have so many students in my classes who came to school because I can't participate in XYZ tonight I'm not here I of course should stay home but if we could really pull out some of that data and then really take active role in who's not and what could we get them involved with um the second question I just wanted to ask you even though it's not great I saw the data that road and rine with 10% as opposed to the rest is there any way to parse out why is their percentage points lower than the other schools do you have Anya yes so there's two parts that part number one is teacher involvement where teachers reach out to families that make that connection teacher par connection is strong throughout the entire District we use Loy as an example so Loy roads numbers you saw that were on the border we can't say for sure what's going to happen 23 24 dat if I had a crystal ball I would bet that l Road would maybe see some significant improv and it has to do with back lection so teachers who build strong relationship with kids and parents show that what's different about boys particular teachers are taking it on individually in School Michigan of some sort that's different from the rest it's a combination of things and so Lloyd Rose your first opportunity as a student to start to get a taste of extra CCS it's your first opportunity of me kids outside your home school you have an opportunity where you got a nice tight group of teachers who understand the importance of kids coming to school you have strong leadership in the building so it's a combination of a whole lot of things which it exists in every building we we'll set the high school aside for a moment to talk about the seniors and how that really impacts student data you have all the right pieces in place so our CH it's not 30 to 40% right on level and so what's important is that that 17% that we saw parents who said somewhat important it's the same 17% that shows up thewi what's the movable Li and so we have data that shows students who are out 12 times in a year up to 17 times in a year they're on the cost being prodly absent then we have data that has 18 to 22 so students were absent 18 to 22 times that's the movable M if we can take that group and improve their attendance by 1 to 6 days how convers start to come down and it's a combination of things and It ultimately comes down to looking at individual students and individual families and seeing what the reasons and needs are for that and that's the other the second piece of this is really really looking at the data with building Administration school counselors central office and we need with principles to look at this data but they're really the ones with their teacher and staff that are making to look at IND individual needs so what Mr even know some information as elementary schools that's lower like there any not that the other movable things aren't so important but when I see the difference in the staffs I really wonder and maybe schools are so small scho yeah that's another part of it the mathematics behind it sometimes we're only talking about two or three kids in a building where the population is less and obviously the high school which has thear thank you so much so thank you I very very here question I to um so in terms of our aism we're not alone as the district we learn that Bo like we are most a lot of districts are struggling with the exact same issue we are um in terms of attendance right so it's just so that Community knows it's not just a m issue it's 400 out of 600 school districts so 70% of Jersey is in the same position so that's that's um in terms of attendance I know you touched up to the high school so that's primarily by seniors okay um and then I know there may privacy ISU is there any like we know anything in terms of what's driving that so is it illness lack of Transportation like I'm just throwing it out there like is there any anything you can share without getting into specifics of family so it's tough because we know the specifics of families so we will address that and it's a it's combination of both things and so on that where it looked like there was 15% 3 years ago that jumped to 21% and I can tell you it won't be 21% when you look at be more aligned to the other that's there are pockets of circumstances that we're aware of and there are obstacles that parents share with us that sometimes we can address sometimes so I'll give a coup Transportation well that that that's what I wanted to there's no way to know within this Serv did District wide rather than so we don't know if familyes said Transportation specifically but it came up in so we know that Transportation look at any of the build that perhaps Transportation could have been issued in 2122 and 22 23 that's a Poss we have have par be feedback um half [Music] so there are it's difficult for them to get to their kids leave home yes that's that's very good that may not be cfic good to okay um thing um love the idea of positive acknowledgement um this shar's extra recess for elementary I think it's phenomenal and I would recommend that we consider it in other places that's appropriate um because I think that's great for little kids I think that right there or play time to who doesn't want that um so I think that was fantastic um positive acknowledgement I know I me mentioned this in my questions and maybe it's that I do have nth gr so for some reason I had no clue as a parent that there was positive acknowledgement going on in the high school no um and I know if that was just me like maybe I just didn't read it maybe I just you know I think that's great and maybe there's a way we can make more parents aware of that um I don't know how it's just you know it's another motivation to get your kids to I don't know what but that's fantas I love that idea I just the more we can make people aware of it the better um so that that was another Point um Google Classroom so my kids have actually said to me so when they're out six so child but um have said like when I'm like oh my God the work you're going to miss that what they say is it's all posted on Google Classroom like I so it's almost it's a very different from when I was a kid to now Google Classroom has made it too easy to miss because I just log on I'll see the work I missed and that's why I wanted you know I was interested in that question of how important are people thinking attendance is for their education because that was just like you know and it's true because I'm even the other day and I thought he'd have a lot of work but he actually did it right then and there at home on you know so it's just an interesting I think it changes things from when we were younger so it's just you know it makes it almost less important to be in the classroom um I don't think it's important um but I think kids potentially could see that and then yeah so thank you for sharing and I'm interested to see the numbers in this SC see if they get I just on Google Classroom so Google Classroom it's a great tool for educators parents kids we know with any tool especially technology driven that there are a lot of positives and then there's the downside to it well Google Classroom cannot replace a classroom classroom cannot replace teachers so that that is important so we try to do a lot of things to help connect kids and parents to let them know what's happening in the classroom ex home public off you have to out then there's an opportunity to at least be able to maintain some of the pace so it's a great tool for that but absolutely it's not not a replacement and then we have the C of technology that our social media website putting things on our district website that are more easily accessible um you know including the actual policy and what are the ex you know little bullets of Education as to when send your child to school and when you know not to send your child to school so thank you that was awesome appreciate it just a couple questions or comments um so you said the excuse listen my kids are my kids are colge don't understand I still think confusing excuse non excuse so when you say if you go on the website can we have that on the front with the policy and just that little section is excused is not excused all the other stuff that would be really really helpful a lot of what we read uh you know we read the pages on Facebook that parents I don't understand I feel that's excuse or is excuse or why am I getting a if my kid is sick I feel that's okay so it's just it's just confus um as far as I have days that's a good point that parents sometimes don't think with it but I also think half days are good because if kids can come in at least for a half day they're considered a day it goes both ways not saying all right let your people defitely ill for 4 hours but if a little under the weather at least get through the first 4 hours and then they can always call home um so that's another way to look at that but again the parent has to be around so that's not that's um and and like said huge huge thing with Co I think that they taught people they be and you see that the workplace you see that people don't want to go back to work listen my kids generation oh I want to work hybrid like what is that like so we need to get back to every this is 5 years now and I really however we're going to figure that out the world is just trying to catch on people need to be present so while I love classroom um I think Co made it too easy and and there's no way to go back from that now um but that's a huge point um and you know just listening to KidsDay they're job seeking jobs and um I guess that's it so the excuse oh and then lastly the survey we do do we do that more than once a year like do we do it for students or do we do it just for parents so this is a once year just for parents in order to get feedback specifically to the c c these and corrective action there are other times where we do surveys clate surveys students get involved parents get involved St survey this is one was very Po and specific this particular okay thank you thank you Mr Le that was excellent I I also wanted to add that there is a um because of Co there is a concern about sick versus not sick because for over a year we were told that stay away from each other don't tou each other sick you might be sick you could be sick so stay with each other so that's my little sobx moment about that um so I'm thinking that we I know that you're planning on working with um educating about when to every money knows it's okay um maybe through the nurses I don't know exact how but um there is going to be some people that are still afraid because so just to really reiterate that everybody good and we can start being around each other again so that's that's all say about that kind of put this feere into people that any kind of spple don't don't go yeah it's important point that R knows and C I've been around for a long long time and came to school and now we're at a point where cost of money nurs still exist so we we are working with our School nurses an important part between our head nurses actually viewing visual graphic right now make sure it's accurate some we want to be able to send out so sometimes we ignore form letters when we come but this is going to be bit more visual easier to read little more attractive to read also have an idea of you can make refrigerator magnet with this information that parent it's right on the refrigerator so that may not happen until the fall those are type of things that we're working on get part of the education I have question um so if student if you're on the fence without sending your kids to school if they're not feeling well they don't have a fever and can you make it is it counted as an absence if they go to school and they really don't feel well they go to the nurse and they get sent five yes it's an absence and loss they have that the minimum of 4 hours so if you're sick sometimes you you think you can make it and you get off the bus and to the school and you're not meet the threshold few hours super hard for a parent so you know if you're like knowing that they're sick and if they're going to go and try it out getent home why would they child so they want to keep the frustrating part yeah for parents get to get in that situation which makes it difficult to try to make the right decisions very I think we're already started talking about this but when it comes to that explaining the excused and I mean I think the excused policy and also defining chronic absences to communicated together because I have the same conversation the front all the time I'm explaining okay not look at the calendar or think about how your kids been out and if it's edging towards 18 we need to call the school to figure out the plan because there's something wrong here and um if it's less than that then you know that's that's when you kept your kid home sick and I mean I don't know I have one child that points who tends to just get sick more and so we're always edging towards that the other one will probably win your award I mean like he's never so it's just how it happens but but um I so I just set I get those letters set aside frankly we can be excused that's n that's not our issue our issue is counting C have you been sick what can we do and that that's what needs the kind of the the positive education of how this works to be P down parents a lot of people don't know that I know that got inside sorry one more clarification so an absence is an absence in terms of what defines chronically absent cor so for this data doesn't matter if it was an excuse thank you thank you thank you thank you Mr and before I turn it back over to I wanted to acknowledge our board members um January's board member appreciation month so I wanted to thank you for your dedication our school Community to our kids for your love for our kids um and the staff um we've done a lot of work together over the last year um superintendent and um we without support be able to do a lot of have thank so I'll get back to you a little later but um but I want to thank you and appreciate all you it is all volunteer next we get pretzels and cookies thank you well I do want to acknowledge that the board is um really involved and active and ask a lot of questions because they want to know the information and it's important to them to have all information especially because these are things that we are voting on um the community so I also want to appreciate everybody here um um I so I have the board president report so I'm thrill to share that our most recent budget audit had no findings so the objective of the audit is to clarify the accuracy of the school board's financial statements Ure proper accounting practices identify any potential mismanagement misuse the funds and it's a state requirement and it runs from July to January and they audit uh we use a company that audits our books accounts and funds and why this is really important that we had no findings is because um in previous years we had several findings so school year ending in 2021 we had seven audit findings school year ending in 22 we had two school year ending in 23 had one and that was just that we had extra funds in our food services um budget and those funds have been spent on Services related costs and they were so we upgraded some cafeteria equipment um and this the the decreasing findings that you're seeing is because of um our business administrator St on R team so I would like to thank her very much for her I'm not a number person uh so huge kudos to anybody who is um so thank you um I also wanted to talk about Miss testimony at the New Jersey Department of Education school funding for school funding form Outreach a public hearing and Tren and she addressed funding for for us specifically she addressed funding for transportation concerns for our community um and she highlighted the challenges of the fact that our students from both our towns are coming from you know sometimes Crossing and coming from areas where there are highways skate highways involved so um she will continue that and I wanted to turn of over her to give a little um accting okay um so yeah so the uh when I was at was on January 14th and it was the New Jersey Department of Education holding the hearing um about school funding reform that will actually be a legislative effort but they were holding the hear about it and they actually hold four public hearings around the stage this one was cont TR um very well attended that was interesting um they there were board members superintendents business administrators Town officials parents from districts all around the state um especially obviously because it was trending a lot of Central Jersey and down the shore too um so we had our neighbors hlin and Oldbridge both had good representation um and then I was there I spoke as well um generally general what I was hearing over and over with a lot a lot of districts have similar issues um the topics generally talked about were about um weaknesses the current school funding formula um a lot of it was about how special education funding is allocated um because it it is doesn't really track with the number of special education students as they learn but that was interesting um also the ways that um transportation fund doesn't reflect the situations within districts like ours I mean I I was the only one that spoke about the sheer number of highways in our district and and the public transportation running RS mid of it but um other districts had issues with you the pro flies versus where their highways are if they're lar Ral District that um the funding formula didn't seem to like um the uh but and overall the big issue was the the current funding formula as it is flex as we all exp Flex is year toe based on the district's need and the ability to pay how it's calculated um which doesn't function well with the other legisl legislation on the boook that the cap on Levy increases um because there's that means that the total revenue Flex is up and down a lot um so I I made my own statement I mean that we agreed to as a board and administration reviewed um and uh uh Department of Education their proposed changes to the school funding formula that um should be released in February I don't know how much detail they're going to give but supposedly there's going to be some more information that this will to um a legislative decision um and so um considered since that be considered by the legislature I guess I'm thinking just my kind ad hoc advocacy role that our next steps would likely be to um work with the town our towns and our parents possibly um to meet with um an advocate with our um legislative delegations we have multiples that cover this school district and um education leadership the legisl so so supposed thank you thank you um so everyone is talking about cell phones in school we're thrilled to say that we were at the Forefront of this and um seen anys recently you'll see that a lot of schools are going this way and some even more stringently than we are so um I think we're getting good feedback on building administrators there's you know some growing things especially at the beginning of the year for some of the older kids that weren't used to it um from St the middle school but you know students are getting used to it and I think even some kind of like it it keeps the focus um we are um active and engaged as I mentioned before and uh we have some new assignments for the year that books on the board help volunteer to participate in again it's all volunteers so there's all different committees we have a policy committee forming that we'll be looking at some um uh administrative uh negotiations cont coming up there and then also we have our Facebook page and our column in um all around marijana M I just wanted to bring one clarification point to that theard members questions about how the funding is done for this District so I'm going to have business administrator in terms ofate funding and then I missed something just let down uh the way that c works is everything is calculated on a we basis weed being like the kindergarteners are we less than all the way up to the high schoolers are we at the most and there's different categorical approaches within it adequacy is what the state Deeds we should be spending on our budget and that is what they believe we should spend in order to provide a thorough and efficient ation to our students if you spend over it that's where appear over adequacy we do spend over it so we are a district that is over adequacy and how they calculate that is based off of property taxes and wealth IND years what each in is in home uh those are the two ways that they calculate it the interesting part is that in M County uh decided a while ago in 2013 to be part of a pilot program where property is is assessed every single year so our wealth population for mon county has increased over other counties um so we are only having being able to go up 2% with that there are waivers one of the waivers that we have used in the past is a healthcare waiver and an enrollment waiver and you know so we've used those to go over two however what happens is the state is telling us we should be spending x amount of money but they don't give us the tool or mechanism to do so thank you I think that CL a little bit more and that have um in order to raise that tool to account have to go to a referendum on a a ballot so that's um you just explain so if someone says that your budget should be $100 and you sign 110 $ whereas if your budget is $90 you're supposed to $10 thank you um so the board is committed to trying to attend as many events as we can and I know that um we have a running list of what's going on in the district so we can be there and support um all of our great initiatives um so I will be going to the high school student faculty varet show tomorrow and it's all student L my my co did it when they were in high school um so I'm to that and I will let thank you for an instruction we're asking the board to take action on all items listed B the other includes items in red from the last reading under B2 in red B page one revised Bill trip and on the top of page 202 a revised Bill trip that instruction I have a motion second AC oh any questions on student Services were asking the board to improve all items as listed items we read from the previous meeting item number three is on page number two item number three read this is District 2425 item number four is aition from previously District placement two two students prent side instruction and to item number six this and grants to pay opponent allies quick synopsises so the state of New Jersey offered a grant to learning ally Learning Ally had money offer districts who had partnered with that so we were a district we had a subscription to Ally therefore we were at the Forefront of being able to be paid for another year of subscription should Happ so it finishes out this school year was through the end of next school year so this software which P out of local budget is now paying the rent great thing uh it's now to all of our schools and what this does it allows teacher or student if you were to stand the ISBN number on a text book or a workbook it could read a passage read directions the problem so it gives the teacher and them it gives students and additional supports to help reading this does not replace traditional taxt reading materials do not this is a a supplement that helps with an Volo future uh there are students who in their I may need this oration so it's there for them so this is a great that motion second any questions 20 2026 2026 and then okay thank you uh sorry Dr well thank you the board has a item in addition to this agenda we're asking to take action section c uh number two um I want the record to rep record one correction from salary adjustment uh that first line should be the step salary step remain to be four but the salary should be 6477 s there we have regular activities Spring sport listed on P 5 to 13 we have our nonathletic activities which include our high school and school sueme performances the 6 13 we have instructional assistants uh who are also going to be working as subtitute teachers that's needed and then uh number five we have home instruction on May 13 we have sta overload go from 11 and then number seven we have sec fr 11 and on page 13 to 13 of the we have and then can I motion question item one see the new hires I I think I just I I misspoke asked this before my question on the driver trainer I think what I meant to ask is this an internal hireo coming from outside or that's great I'd like to take an opportunity to say thank you uh this has been a long time coming this is been in the contract and um we didn't have a job description for it so the first thing we needed to do was to a little investigation uh we reached out to other that do have this position and then we created the job description um after that did post for it and we did have applicants internally and externally we are hiring in um the reason why this is so important to bring into our district is um we have seen increase of students at transport about 800 students additional and so with that um it's very important that statistics show that regular education and training programs based on observation to improve perform safy so this will allow us to have a person whoes and emphasizes safy with our drivers and and then also has the ability to you know go out and look at STS and do things like that so we can see what other SE to help us with um this also assists us when we do have drivers who are acent that they can fill the RO so we don't have a huge substitute driver po we'll GL to take the dver we can um the other thing that this helps us good is that we did take the time um to work with Federal Department of Transportation and get our site approved so that we can assist and train drivers might want to get their CDL and if you do want to be a driver you need to have an S and a endorsement and so we'll actually be able to be an onsite facility for that and so not only can we do it for our drivers but we can do it for other districts and potentially bring in a back so we definitely have um many opportunities available as the um this was already budgeted for Cas this is something this is not new this is something we hadded or this is and um instead of that paying for a driver and potentially and salary adjustment I know question but it was a good question me ask why we approving uh usually doas but you explain why see ads yes those are those uh in some cases those just finished thank you I have question driver as thank you um the agenda uh in terms of um person choses I just want to confirm this person is um meets the job description fully certified in terms of being able to train other drivers um and you know certify there's no certific you uh we are asking the board to reaction and policy agenda we have first read items uh the board has received the comprehensive breakdown of these uh first streen items uh the special education um location identification in refal uh basically the a formal change based on Modern policies um in administrative code for special education uh the student assessment the major change was standards changing uh specifically English language arts in some of our English language Learners uh in the attendance uh for both support support staff and teaching staff the the change based on the new uh attendance that's and also the secondly we asking for approval and adoption thank you motion and second [Music] um so we are working still on the PTO policy booster SL clubs slash everything that we offer in the schools um so where we left off was right before Christmas um we had asked that the administration gather all of the information of all the clubs boosters everything that is in every school that would apply um so we had everything compiled to one policy and that when we're discussing criteria for for PTO we can also uh discuss criteria for boosters and other clubs so um the administration and govern R our policy admin um chair did all of that work for us and uh that was awesome so he gaed all that information for us when we met um last week and we have a bunch of questions for our board lawyer and what we're looking to do is just kind of compile the policies so that it's just one generic policy stating very basic criteria for what you should be doing uh could be doing um and we're going to have it be under PTO is H is in criteria versus just a booster club the PTO uh funds all the children whereas the booster club is just a specific sport or specific um activity so it's a little smaller of an organization so all of this will be detailed in the policy but again um we need again on Monday with the lawyer to go over just fine tuning of it and then hopefully we'll have something in February on the um c as the first [Music] thank we're looking to take actions on the following items for finance um items one through three number four I just want to make a quick adjustment uh we did have a last minute ad to ensure that we're able to get broadly for the Middle School of the time fashion so we need to switch the bills list number to 4,100 3334 uh with that we are also accepting annual audit school year again thank you we recognizing the school january2 78 9 and 10 are for add of District tuition for our keys program this ising into the distri for those students out from other districts uh routine travel reimbursement ory listed approving the security agency that we also talked about earlier and thenir vation drill [Music] m333 42 333 perod also we'll replace what was in the agenda folder with the updator you just two other things one is I very happy to see that other District such AAL help and their education um so very very excited to see that more what our attendance is up to there but I think it's fantastic and I'm assuming we're letting the state go as well we can potentially try to get addition funding to support more and more students there's only three schools like this in the entire state so um so so we're making them aware of studing as their numbers go up to try to get more funding okay great um and then lastly the security so um just uh wanted to say thank you because um this is oncoming prob the year um but since the referendum did not pass um last year you know we did say that we would continue to work on increasing Security in our buildings um and I just want to say thank you to the whole team because every worked really hard to try to find ways to do that I know SP with quite big um we came up with a solion that I think works well for us um not to make it work in the budget State funding which helped with that um also I think we listen to what our community has to say and we are rolling it in we're not fighting everything up at once there is some sharing going on between building um and that's great because I think that's how we're going to learn from what's working for us um how many people we really need um you know so so think that's great um couple of questions Community perspective just so people are aware do you mind sharing just a couple of the other districts that you use this company just understand Foxwood har and they're called schools in different areas [Music] ofal ch it's all and then in terms of um making the community aware so it's not just this thing as you mentioned there will be a community letter going out which fantastic making I also think it's very important um that the students are made aware um so not just the parents getting the letter but the students just so it's not a surprise when they walk in in February and Security in the buildings um staff as well you know just a full education for everyone I think um also uh oh something that was important to me um know there security but I think connecting with our kids is thing as well because I think you know looking across the countryes it is sometimes kids that come back schools um so form connections these officers students form connections I help compents first of all I just want to answer to start my policy update I think we're looking at our next policy I just think that um say that I was happy to see our lunch Debs going down so um that's looking to be our next policy that we're work on Administration that um I a question it's really for us um I just wanted to ask um so in the high school we obviously we have our SRO but then we have something like what is the other position that is in the high school where there's like just boards so what what is that called um um security security monitors okay so we have that in the high school the middle school I know we had a possibly a whole monitor but then um that H monitor switch department so we're going to have a different home monor we're just going to take one [Music] for my question's all the way back to personel so if you want to go I'm sorry um on page 13 13 in Personnel D number five um I'm looking at the the per evaluation rate for a substitute um Observer for evaluator and I'm wondering how that compares to um when we use an agency if we need like a BBA to come in and do an FDA or the uh site to come in and do like a Cy Val how does that compare per evaluation in in general so the evaluations conducted by CH 1 mbers are 500,000 it's that much from development it's it's our teacher teaching teacher evaluation school um so the Ober the person being observed could be doing the pre conference post conference the actual observation are they always doing that full model there's not always a full pre so sometimes it's just the unannounced you go in for a 30 minute and then write up yes it's unannounced and announc this particular server injected due to the changes with Administration we needed assistance with doing the next thank so that's thank you I just wanted to ask a question thank you for fixing this travel chart so we can see it better I just had a question about the um Mr htz who's attending the director of Athletics Association New Jersey I know he's away for four nights but I see that the meals miscellaneous is $556 and that just sounded like a lot for meals I was curious was something additional there that it's that expensive we have to go by whatever the GSA rate is so the GSA rate has am for where it is and when it is and how much what is GS it's it's the government service accountability yes and so there's a first day a last day and then um a middle midle of the trip so the ones in the middle are always more expensive because they're to get wow I thank you it's not a just but that's like that's over $100 a day you're enough dancer I'm just it seems sounds like a lot thank you just to that's pretty standard I mean reimbursements are I get $75 for no well this is a lot more and I see Mr R Gill is going away for three nights and his is only 2:30 so that's why I was questioning it's difference can i m zero [Music] has bring back to CH I know I'll let let me clarify that for the record so um so for that particular for that particular conference that I'm attending is at zero across the board because I serve as president for the New Jersey Association so they cover it up she is so I am um but I also I want to point out that the GSA that we improve the maximum but so it's not always the maximum that they are actually $500 and a lot of times there it be a zero there's different um sponsors there so like Mr it's getting them award so I anticipate so you have the budget for the most and then we'll see what it end with yes thank you morning I just wanted to ask um there was a couple as board members we always ask questions the week before the board meeting and there's a lot of really good questions that we figured we talk about on the floor there was just a couple things I wanted to ask real quick um the who will the officers be reporting to princial security director at comos It's a combination between building principal and then the school safety specialist whiches um thank you and then will they have uh other than the SRO will they have communication with the police department or they would their private they they will and they can with with the um building administr being involved okay because they don't have a direct they're not working directly um and then I know that we talk about telling uh the community sending out a letter talking to the children and and that will include of course staff who have like it's going to be a little different um from a high school because there used to be SRO and working with the police department so just an idea of how these guys are now different Middle School um just need a little extra understanding how the logistics of that would work right yes so we something that and then okay and the SRO can be involved in all the schools yes so he's over um all right I think that's it thank you thank you very much um I just I wanted to say something I I'm really happy that everybody's asking many questions especially finally related it just shows we're really trying to make sure that we're operating funds and St do so much so I really appreciate that I teach of Scot so I really do appreciate that even I'm just going to say like we even just I made a joke about the cookies and the bretzels we decided that we were going to not be at at these meetings as much as we had been because really trying to watch every penny cuz it's not our money so I just wanted to make that so um public comment the board the Board of Education recognizes the value of public comment on matters of interest to community individuals wishing to speak must State their name and address comments are limited to 3 minutes duration but an individual privacy they may face personal liability to the injured party if speakers are uncertain of the legal ramifications of their comments the board urges them to seek guidance beforehand from their own so uh miss perz you mentioned that there would be uh a vehicle park in front of each school let be or no not not each school so there won't we won't have one we don't have the police school school only the schools that have a um that are shared they right that's what I mean so like if they go from Lloyd Road over to St that vehic is that an actual police car not not obviously but security okay and are we still going to have like today Advance you know every day there's a police officer that from a comes and walks the building that will continue as well right okay thank I want to emphasize and just on the record that the collaboration with M and that nothing has changing with that we are responsible um and we actually approve the memorandum of agreement at our last so that's requirement by the Department of Education so the collaboration continues which we having Department um so they will still be in youing their education together and the DRS um you saying everybody my son guarantee can you like not say can you do it but like you st or anybody I do feel like the kid who just doesn't want to go to school kid who can't go to school so as far as chronic is concerned under that particular definition that statute from New Jersey ABS is Absolut regard students is okay it's group into that same category for that specific V that's not the same this is important for parents know that if child pass pass for additional SCH guidance then reaching out to principal those are steps as well that we work together on but your question then to get back to that I think the biggest problem in school is the kids AR and I'll tell you and I so I my son who my daughter who could wake up she had a stomach vir know she's so she's missing all of the important what I see on is her friends [Music] already don't but you to kids don't care they might have to stay in at or stay after friends like warmer I'll stay so good feedback apprciate he that so and you're right the the challenge is kind of we motivate high school students specifically there's in motivation the ex motivation there's we do have measures in place credit recover is one business another is another piece of that's when the administrator and parents have to the judge that's not fun but there's that piece as well there's retention I graduate all those pieces come into play but so how do we start to address that and the answer often is when they get to high school and that's educating parents if have parents po after you let know that early on here for example that he tend to support everyday count and start to to educate parents early on um that helps but it wouldn't be the answer I think it's a true partnership we talked about earlier it's parents teachers and administration working together I'm not very concerned to see different correct there's a lot of frustrations on our part of how do we make sure that students when they're 16 17 18 years old they can make some decisions that they understand SCH so I'm just going to add that and I appreciate feed while we can offered recovery it doesn't mean that we don't need to look at and evaluate how and who is receiving so for example you mentioned about maybe repeat the same kids then maybe it's something to consider that demonstrating the same not have um they are last year we um I want to point out that last year we we rained students that had well above the Beyond 20 um so we retain our students and the education piece is the is the the most important because good habits start early on so if you saw the percentages at the Lev have have created early on because they're just they're now a habit and and then they want to um improve in high school and it's really hard to change right like so we want you know we talk about eating and things like that it takes time to create good Ms so we hope that you know knowing and getting this out to the families that we can collaborate more together and create Happ early on we we know and we see the data so the kids were looking at it didn't just happen and it happened inry um of course I want to say I just thought something said that was important I don't know if we mention this but the new company is also going to help try correct where they can there's an opportunity if we chose to work with that PE they also are able to help with that yes and and that's actually in the it's not we didn't present it tonight but each building has their own act action plan that has to to the Department of Education in the action plan and include the iny officer will have compl to that which we do residency checks and also also see why they're not going to school but um so we're hopeful that those connections and that's just going to help I just want to ask is that being [Music] you're missing there's time right certain amount yeah a typically SE time to college classes credit hours that so if you were first period and you have first period Pap fire gr you don't have enough sea time so could fail first abs and until finish the rest of your day I straight into classes but didn't show up the first per so that time affecting question I could be wrong but I think this also goes back to the accountability piece I feel like when the first year coming back from we were just trying to get our feet under us and so now the part is really picking up and being much more um en forced than um I think last year was the first year where mentioned really had to get people they didn't have school um so might have come as a little bit of surprise ready now that they are seeing with parents and kids that it's really um will be they will be he and comforable um that it's going to make a difference as well um do we have any unfinished business I question [Music] approv this for central office yeah there's no sign we were here for that meeting oh you were that's right the sign was approved by the town however then um there buildings requested additional plans from the vendors so the plans have been dropped off however we waiting for the permits to be released so they move forward with installation M I do have one question I just want to ask um is there any update and I speak to council side every time before every meeting typically after every meeting and just kind of update them their meetings you know is there anything going on we need to know about right now um so I just updated them on security they were already where but um you know just went through that with them and then get yes Chris we can't hear you down sorry I'm just going to yell because I'm not trying to figure this thing out um but abine side uh we have not made contact yet I sent two emails and called at the voicemail to get back in tou with me I haven't heard it back yet on Monday I'm going to go down to town hall and see if I can read face to face and just start that conversation have any okay so we will take vote to approve the agenda evening we be to take action on minutes correspondence instruction special services personnel with Walkin policy and R I'm a yes but I need to obain from travel my in noted Miss V yes Mr MC yes M yes Mr mon yes M Scot yes M Carell yes M Martinez Yes except I need tostain from um appointment page of 1 13 three of 13 um one of the position Yes except page 12 of 13 under Personnel second line stain all I have a motion on the second on motion second so the regular Action meeting is adjourned uh we will be moving on to a second executive session be it resolved that a Clos session can be be for the purposes of
