additions or deletions this to this agenda look at the agenda new business I'm looking at it new business there isn't even an old business all right so let's let's move on to item six item six new business veterans fre discussion hey does anyone want to begin that um I can share my updates and then you guys can um give any feedback on anything you guys have been working on awesome um so so far we have 15 uh School of well 15 groups registered for the event um the flyer was shared with Miami Gate County Public Schools leison to share with all the schools um that just went out last week so it'll be a few weeks before they have their group sign up um we have one sponsor confirmed for $2,000 and that's Memorial Healthcare Systems we have zero Grand Marshal nominations to date we have 11 volunteers registered to help us out with the event aside from uh from Kathy Omar um Kelvin Kiki so they are our main volunteers um I know we talked about the mascots last meeting the Panthers uh already told me that Stanley is not available unfortunately they're going to be I think overseas or something with the mascot they're checking to see if Victor the rat is available yeah the Billy from the Marlins are going to let us know by end of this week if they're available um we have Steve a Cohan military family clinic they asked if they could be a part of the event they just want a vendor table at the event they're a nonprofit organization I do have a fer of them and I'm happy to talk it out just so you guys see some information on what they provide for veterans is that something that that that we need to vote on is that something we can you can accept normally we have a few nonprofit organizations um but I'm just letting you guys know on let you know unless you guys don't think it's a good fit just let me know um from my understanding they're a clinic that helps veterans um and then um I had a a few words with Fred and he told me that he is talking to the Jeep pup group just to confirm them again once again this year but that he's going to provide backups as well can I interrupt for a moment on there sure uh is is that going to be in place of the um the golf carts or was that something in no so yeah that's I had yes so in regards to the golf carts so he's talking to the deeps and they're gonna and he's uh he's planning on providing backups you guys um made the request last meeting to have a sign up form for golf carts we only have two signups so I wouldn't really count on that too much and out of the two signups only one of them is actually street legal to to even be in the street which is a very important part of you know of us allowing the golf carts and as part of the parade so just something to keep in mind I wouldn't necessarily count on it I think it's maybe a good initiative to maybe start so that maybe by next year it picks up and we can solely count on them but I think it's good that we have a mix of things going on just as backups there there only 53 Raiders to don't any [Music] time show to that golf card event last golf card event we had the town has not had a gol Cent I believe that was the vice mayor that put it on so I don't have the details on that put that on so maybe if we reach out Tony on that he could help us with that okay who wants to reach out and was that not the same group between no he's talking about the golf cart uh the holiday golf cart I but wasn't that with the no Mario's group that s the okay yeah so my the little bit that we know in regards to because it wasn't a Time Event so we weren't involved um but what I understood was that Mario P was a part of that helped him with the golf cart help put together so I we put together the link of people to sign up for the golf courts like you guys requested and we shared it with Bill and Mario so so if you guys want to nudge marrow that's also a choice but I know that he was like the primary person that kind of helped put that together so we shared it with him yeah and Bill was GNA right follow follow up on that yeah because we talked about uh giving out a prize for the first place first right we actually voted on that last meeting okay so I would suggest you guys I don't know if you guys want to reach out to the vice mayor or to Mario b or Bill and um well well let me not say because I know part of but Mar the vice mayor I don't know yeah Bill's pretty much taking a lead on this but I'll touch Bas with Bill and he doesn't reach out to tell and see we can STS we should have about 45 just so you know I don't have confirmation on the room just yet so but you get the reest yes to the GRS yes I I just want to make that clear because I don't I don't want to say that we have it confirmed yet because I don't have conf okay can we can we um can we talk about the Grand Marshall for moment um hold on let me answer your question um so I forget the name of the group The American leion right 5 first the American yeah so they they're the ones that do a Star Wars they Star Wars so they normally need a change in room so um with the GRS we normally request a hold harness to you know use the parking space and all the areas that the frams that we use and in that hold harm lless we also made the request for like an office an empty office so that they can use it to change which is what theyve did last year we've done it the last two years and one year we used um the playhouse I'll follow up again yeah she has it so I know they're working yeah and ask her if she's already reserved the look for the grand companies they right okay can we talk about the uh the Grand Marshall I wanted to make a nomination I I've already spoke to him and he seems to be in favor of that this year uh Michael C for Grand Marshall can you please um enter it in the form just so we have a public record of it enter word can you please enter the Grand Marshall nomination into the Grand Marsh form nomination yeah where do we get those forms it's I sent it to you all I'll I'll send it back again it's online yeah can you send it I would have told it out I haven't seen it um Dar how are we doing with the flute with the um the FL yeah with the American PID the 50% them SE for that did we ever get volunteers to decorate that was that Chris I reach out to Alex those invol um what else do we have to contribute anybody do the time we set up or the time that we set up we're going to meet out here at the same place we did last year next to chase we going to meet there what time this year um it should be the same as last year give me a second last year was 7:30 yeah oh yeah well it should really be seven I I will say seven because we have volunteers we have the kids that are volunteering and we need the committee to you know guide them to what they need okay uh and mind I'm going to bounce this off of you and just please just raise your hand join in because we're like a semi formal group today we talked about the clearing out that lot not having the residence cars that apartment buing where are we on that is the is the city going to take the lead on that or well it's not a it's not a city thing we have to request permission from the grams to see if they are okay with us telling their people to not work there you know yeah and that would be a so the the thing is that the parade is on a Sunday and there's no there's no office use on Saturdays of the building but people still park there so that's kind of the conflict there that we need to figure out okay what are we doing so far to uh to resolve that we haven't um I haven't made a formal request um I can send an email to to Andrea which is working on the other hold hermas and um and I guess C can I just want to make sure someone list as as a thing to be done so it gets on we not wind up we did last year at the end I keep yeah but I again I'm not I I just want to be clear we don't have confirmation yet um I I'll send her an email now we have correct we haven't asked no I haven't asked yet no I haven't so she's going to follow up on that okay so I'm going to write you down to ask so yeah uh we also talked to about um PS Port parties or whatever they call those P parties yeah we we do any do anyone request to do so we this year so I normally request them however um I know that the conversation last meeting was that you guys wanted more of them yeah um I will mention that we need to be cautious of the budget and if we don't bring in sponsors we don't have additional funding to work with and then we're very limited on how we can spend those dollars so I would urge you guys along with the rest of the committee obviously to help us with sponsors um I believe I sent out the sponsorship to you guys last week um that would greatly help us and like that we can Elevate the corner parties which I think is also a point of discussion you guys had last meeting you guys wanted the nice but those cost significantly more we're talking about we probably spend maybe like 300 between 300 and 500 on the portal parties right now the simple ones we use and I know that the nicer ones can go for like $2,000 so it is a big jump in an expense it does something to keep in mind if you want one [Music] with I'm just like throwing stuff off the top of my head nobody else is talking but what we really need is a checklist I don't have do do you have a check with you we can go Happ to share it with you guys yeah can we can you share that with us go right down it and see where we're at it' be a lot more organized what have a couple questions fromy actually um the volunteers that you already have registered are they adults or are they kids they're kids because we're going to need more than that yeah we the form is still open um I know Miss stto Miss nor helps us yeah I know she's having her kids sign up um I just know they haven't done it all at once she told me she has 20 ready um um I just know they're doing it all at once because they need her permiss to sign um but it sounds like she's very eager to help and that she's she feels confident in pulling the kids together can can you ask her how many she thinks we need yeah well we have the form open yeah well geki was thinking along the lines of maybe 20 to 25 just so that we have um volunteers along the parade route because we we figure that if we have um volunteers along the par Parade route they can kind of slow down the parade whenever there's a performance so we don't have [Music] gaps for 50 people from Vicky Bakery that's excellent great in the morning and then the lunch is going to be served by Sergio is giving me half price I remember I brought in the bill excellent so we're going to get the sandwiches and going to give cookies and he's to great we get that checklist we can go right on down the checklist and walk a little more organized that waystead make some notes on what we need done what you know what we have done going to be great for this year I heard the weather's going to be Gooding off it's starting to cool off oh yeah this morning in the morning right by noon time was Charles James made aware he out his meetings and you're not copying him no he's he has been he has been yeah when did we see him last it was an event here he was an event at the last meeting that we had and I talked to him and he said oh miss make sure I mentioned make sure but he said he would he I'll be there oh it was the book talk um if you guys are waiting on me this is going to take me a walk but I have to go through my files so feel free to continue um okay I have one run Marsh she moved out of here two years ago Southwest she's retire she's like chachos right we still got we still got mik and uh there's another one that I'm talking to more theit has it non-resident I think I think if we take a moment you really I I don't want to give a sales Pi of Mike or anything but if you take a look at Mike's contributions to the town over the years uh it's amazing his his military record is impeccable me Mike was only a liutenant colonel which is a pretty good rank Lieutenant Colonel but you got to remember too this guy was also um an E7 Sergeant he I mean he worked his way up and then started all over again from the as a second Lieutenant was a 33 was a 33y old second Lieutenant all the other kids are 21 22 He's 33 and worked his way up this worked his way up to lieut colel it's quite an accomplishment plus if you look at what he's done I mean the things in South America with the J things this and that as a wordss and decorations while in the military it's amazing and Mike's a very modest guy he never talks about it never says a word but but if you just look at at all you if you saw his DD214 you'd say wow why have pointed this guy a long time ago the reason is because he refuses all the time he doesn't like he's very modest doesn't like to be recognized for these sort of things but um it's it's he said that he would this year and do anyone here doing the the Memorial Day um celebration we had yeah I was here yeah did you hear he what Mike was talking about then about the some of the things he had done when he came back to the United States as far as an officer that went out and told the people oh he's a he was a beran officer yeah a lot of a lot of us have done that and it's it's not you were an excellent you were an excellent Grand and as as ped you got you were too both you guys were amazing I think Micha will be right there with nobody can it's okay nobody'll be in the same level okay um I'm going to go through this quickly so the parade registration form which is already up and I already guys give you an update on on numbers the hold harmless which is already in the works um I know Kathy's going to help follow up with that um all- American barricades which the town already has confirmed um the Grand Marshall so we really need your help it sounds like you guys have lots of ideas please enter them into the form you're okay with them yeah but please enter it onto the form I want to be very specific that we're all following the same Protocol no matter who you're voting for um because again it's public record if anybody asks us we want to be able to pull it up um we do confirm down tutorial here from about 9:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. um as you know we have the the the lunch in here so we obviously have to confirm that they want to deliver it to us at 11:00 if you want to put that in your notes tell St does that so I will are you are you going down a checklist now yeah okay let let's begin from the beginning okay okay you just want to go down one item at a time and then we'll yeah that's what I was doing the parade registration form so that's already up and I already gave you guys a number on that so hold harmless is what the grams help us giving us permission to use parking lot and any of the areas that belong to them um so the request has gone out I will be adding to that request which you mentioned the blocking of the parking lot as early as Friday um I know that that's uh the request minus minus blocking it off on Friday has already gone out on my end so I'll follow up with that and Kathy's gonna help us follow up as well um the barricades is all- American barricades they've already been confirmed uh Grand Marshall the form is already out um I'll remind you guys that we are closing it off earlier this year because we need to make sure that we're you know promoting hey this is their Grand Marshall letting people know um who the Grand Marshall is and I think we do something else oh we like to let the Laker know just in case they want to do anything on it as well we have to confirm the car decals for the grand Marshals um we go with the same vendor every year at least the last few years we use the same vendor it's sign one the decals that go on the the stickers that sign yeah that go on both sides um so we use the same vendor he knows kind of what we need that they need to be adhesive not magnet and all of that uh what I'll remind you guys that go on on that is the sponsor logos that have contributed to the event um you can take a look at the sponsorship package it's detailed out there and um yeah that's pretty much who I plan on going with let's back up on the signs for one second that's where I'm at okay yeah on the signs what about the signs to Mark the areas for the different groups like group one and group two yeah so that's new this year I'm going through the old uh list so this is a sign for the car um again I'm going to be using sign one because that's normally who we use if the committee wants to use somebody else because they think they can get a better price that's fine but I need like a quot like as um the town photographer is Jonathan so signed up and deliv L too didn't Jonathan new on for I've been playing with it nice but I'll be busy so he's just a photographer so and I can't highlight enough that I will not be present the day of the event so I really need the veterans uh committee members to you know uh pick up some certain things certain running around that I normally do and I just want to mention that because that means that unfortunately some of you may not be able to make it to that floow if that's the case I I think because I think all of you were going to be on the floor right unless you just you do you do whatever your task is and then you tap one of the kids to cover you while you're on the flow and then you come back to them that could work too but just something to be conscious of um um trash pickup obviously we need to pick up the areas specifically the grand parking lots that are used well can I jack so can we have volunteers and maybe in um use an incentive of extra hours for them to stay and help with collecting the the garbage or anything and clean out the parking lot I know from not just the parking lot but along the parade route any any mess that is created so the thing with the trash pickup is that we use the Main Street which is closed off only for a little bit right after the parade is over then we try to open the street as fast as possible so we're relying on volunteers that may take them a walk second I know that I can check with with to stop but I think it's going to be an issue because we're kind of agreeing to let we're agreeing the GRS are letting us use these spaces under the agreement that we're going to deliver and they're going to be you know pren by the time giving it back and I don't know that we can hold a volunteer to that standard cuz you know what if they don't do it and I'm not saying they won't but we need when you're paying a vendor it's confirmed that it's going to get and then liability issues yes and then that liability is a thing I think it'd be great if the kids can help if they're lingering anyways um but I think we need a trash company pick up regardless I don't think I don't think we're going to get away with not they change them right away but let me make not we definitely can incentivize them to you know pick up and and especially if we have more volunteers which I would love to have more volunteers than what we need anyways and if we see we we have more we can definitely tell at hey we need help picking up and they can start picking up um that's not a problem all but I wouldn't just only count on question t-shirts okay so uh let me hear um so this is an old checklist the commemorative t-shirt you guys used to do I will remind you because um I know you guys have felt strongly about the teacher and that's really your calling your vote to make if you want to spend the funds on that they have not been successful in selling at all even when we've gone down yeah well I don't know everybody had different opinions on it but I know I think the opinions came from didn't come from the veterans committee they came from outside of our committee as far as as far as the t-shirts in the in the beginning we never sold those just they were given and that's you that's the way we did it but then the idea came along to sell them afterwards so I think that was not idea yeah we could use a lesser amount and so last year we didn't order did we order shirts last year okay so I think but I think just yes for on staff end just so you guys know we're ordering a bu order of event staff shirts that can be used for any event so the idea is that right now we are going to be giving volunteers event staff shirts um those 20 30 kids and you guys as well we're going to be giving you shirts to identify them as volunteers of the event but this is a standard shirt that we're going to be using not just for this event we'll use it for the 5K we'll use it for all of our upcoming events just so identify the must 4th this is just but I just want to mention this is on R now me giving you that information if you guys want to go ahead and print shirts we can as long as the B allows for it that's your quity on the budget because you know we tell us we don't what do we have as far as budg you guys have the same as last year how many shirts do we have last year you just have to make the recommendation on what you wish to do with the I know what I'm ask is how many how many so we can keep looking at them okay yeah just could give us a j you know somewhere to figure out where we're at were there any leftover from last year the one problem that we always have with those t-shirts is that we have long nobody controlling and you have the we have to get volunteers you yes last year I remember two three years ago I think we had we weren't agreeing on the price you guys ended up thinking we did it too high we were selling it too high so then you guys said let's go down to I think five or $10 I know we went significantly lower last year in selling them and I remember we had two volunteers selling them and they did not sell they sold like I no but I just want to mention that no I something to be conscious of when you're ordering that's where we're trying to get an idea how many we used last year was 50 for 680 how many 50 shirts for $680 50 shirts was $680 what's that can out to a shirt 20 bucks no about 17 about 13 1 how much yeah 13 a little bit over 13 14 try to get some sponsors list of the sponsor we only have one the one I mentioned earlier okay but you have one that say go yeah I sent it to you guys um if you need me to print it I can print it as well please me can we do the same thing with shirts we did last year the same amount so the recommendation to the committee is order the same amount of shirts yeah and we have to use what what we want to have printed on them is that something that uh well the town designs the the looking field because it has to go along with our branding guidelines I know you guys if there's any I know you guys with the recommendation of you guys we added the six seal and I know Gary always confirms the order of them for us yeah we good yeah okay so we're going have shirts can you also make the recommendation of what you wish the committee to do with the shirts at the event yes um the recommendation would be they go to the volunteers right approximately 30 and the um and the participants from the uh from the veterans committee and the and you know other uh volunteers so who would we um I guess who are we going to task with Distributing those shirts I think we'll take one of the volunteers from bar Bowman or whatever and they can give them instructions who to get the shirts to I think it's a good idea to have um you know a guide as to what each volunteer is gonna do and then give them their assignments maybe sell it well okay I want to I want to be clear when it comes to sponsorships let's make sure we are following whatever has been detailed out in the package so we're on the same page so I I just want to make sure nobody's telling a sponsor hey yeah we're going to add your logo and maybe it's not part of the package at the level that so just whatever they're agreeing to on the package they know what they're agreeing to cuz we detailed out for them that's why I kind of have them sign it so that they know we're all on the same page um so yes what you mentioned about the volunteers um I think I had mentioned the last meeting we need one of the veterans committee members to oversee like the volunteers essentially obviously I would give you the contact information obviously to a meeting in in the past our our chair our chairman has basically overseen the whole our whole operation so he's not here tonight but I would recommend he probably do the same thing he would oversee the volunteers and you know what we're doing as far as but to be very specific um I don't um and again I I I apologize for just highlighting things I just want to make sure you know we all we all leave on the same page again because I'm not going to be here um so I want you guys all to be aware in terms of them overseeing the volunteers what I mean by that is we need to detail out as Kathy mentioned their task like what how many are we going to be using in this area to specifically do this and once they're done with this here to do you going be I can do that so that way we I don't take up the time of one of the committee members you could get with Bill and Bill Bill can convey to you yeah we're going to need four of them to direct traffic we're going to need some basically to let them know you know what that's great this one will get out shirts this one will help their registration okay I I have um I have kind of a list that I used last year so I can share it with you so that we have something to start off okay we added additional tasks we wanted this year oh I wanted to add one more thing too we skipped over this in the past few years we've had that we're having I believe Pap you said POS from yeah we have year we always had coffee to go with that too we have coffee is Cofe and from Big B okay but are you guys planning to are you requesting for it to be Don or do you guys want never I already talked to fre rece it for the every every the coffee donuts and then the the lunch they're going to be delivery at 11:00 perfect we have that set are we all set it for us having the lunch in the uh where we had it last year yeah it's right here 11:00 okay but the rooms I'm checking make sure the rooms set we got that room oh yeah yeah yeah that's already been you have theill yes if we can get a list of your volunteers of of what size HTS they need that'll help us in the ordering they know we can just you know just make sure ask so start asking the whole we can always put it we can always put a bigger one on somebody smaller but it's proba to put a smaller one on you get one size all you be a little bit larger and then I also want to remind you guys that we are closing the registration form earlier this year we're not doing parade lineup like before question on that in the past if the registration was late and they W because we get a lot a lot of late people on this rate the deal is they won't get a spot in the prey they just go to the back correct well their spot will be at the end all right because we want they can still be in the [Music] be yeah and I think we we all we've all agreed on that because it's a headache for the person that is there in registration because I've seen it try to accommodate people and you're not helping anybody by doing but not if they have a vehicle right yeah so if they have a vehicle [Music] um because the vehicles are lined up in a different location right yeah so the vehicle going specific group right a group number what our section right so let late registration you wouldn't accept somebody with a vehicle at a late I think if I'm not mistaken I don't know if you remember from last year but I think what ended up happening is of course we always had a few late ones that brought a vehicle anyways um I think Kelvin kind of integrated them by leaving them as part of that row on 67 so like let's say section one yeah let's say section one was the vehicles all the ones we need section one and two so we let section one let section two and I think maybe account for a gap after section two that okay there's vehicles on the side that we're going to have to integrate that's a suggestion I don't know what you guys think about that yeah Calvin know Calvin just does it I mean he he's amazing out there he just worked but I want but this is the thing I think we rely a lot on people just kind of like knowing and I think it's important for us to discuss so we all know what's going okay um and Charles Charles also is heed the MC Charles did a great job as far as you coordinating with in one year we had walking talking I guess last year they didn't work uh and you had mentioned earlier about the parade to keep it all organized um any ideas on on how best to keep it so we don't keep everybody together it's not a long parade but we get that space group me u a lot of the kids especially the volunteers if they're going to be helping us with the pace of the parade and stopping the parade they can create a like a chat okay um where we can let them know what's going on and what to do um because usually they use their cell phone for everything so do what Talk use put it on their on their cell phone so we could have a volunteer we have we have enough volunteers to have one basically with we can space something in the parade where they can walk along and monit monitor the movement so we're aiming on we're aiming between 25 and 30 said yeah big 30 we already have 11 signed up to dat and these are these are volunteers from bar they're from different schools but most of them are going to come from Barber National societ get hours yes I S the form to them the week after it's a great okay it sounds like it sound we've got that handle that's going to be so what's the regra for registration so I think the closing day should be two weeks before the Havey I don't think we should go past that because then you don't have time to brief them a question for Pedro volunteers Pedro how many lunches will be aail 150 okay and do we have an idea of how many people that would be talk weig 130 135 butun we're about a little over 100 so with the volunteers and then for the in the in the morning we pay for 50 people you have to make sure those numbers sound good how you came you fig that's based on what we normally do we have I mean so far so just so you guys all know to inform you all we're going to do October 18th as the last date for any volunteers to sign up but if we reach yeah but if we reach 30 before them it's Clos but that's just the last dat sponsors uh I don't remember I know I know it's in the sponsorship oober what I'm sorry October 18th will be the last day that anybody can register as a student volunteer I have another question in the past we've always given out little Flags is that is that in the budget for this year or is someone going to recure them um I normally just place an order on Amazon if you guys are okay with the ones you've got in the past we can do the same just let me know okay how many flags do we need G that's well the town got some and U they always get some and I think I 300 now there's a big flag you're talking about the little on they have 300 little ones yeah okay um and sir how many you think we need to get from town for so I can I don't know they always bought the wrong let me tell you what I ordered last year hold on I think I ordered them off of Amazon you order either Amazon or flag in B but speaking of we um I usually place the order for flag in Banner uh for the the Grand Marshall is it flag that's going to be folded and the display case for part of the reason we closed the the entry form for the Grand Marshall earlier is so that we have time to order the next yeah otherwise we can we're not doing that we don't want to Black well they still it but we're just not doing it that's a good question not all part of the no last year you guys no you you gave it you gave the folded flag because that is the we present you just don't have them folded here but it does get folded yeah we want we want so is that the same what's a recommendation in case yeah yes sir see yeah we need that for the grand Mar so but what is the recommendation this year I want to make sure you guys the same yeah we we had a registration one last year so if people knew where to register yeah um so I'll walk you through what the idea is uh let's say I am Barbara gan's dance team and I'm the so I go in and I check in that warning to the registration table um we've already done the lineup right staff committee has already done the lineup on the lineup they are group two section two and they are car or they are number 23 in the so I'm going to give them a flash card that is that identifies section two let's say that section two is pink the feather flag will also be pink so you know where you're going in the parking lot does that make sense yep yeah the card color will with the feather so that they know where to go to FL the numbers huh the color key in the area where they going yes yes yes yeah but it will also write out their number so they're number 23 so that they know uh when um when Kelvin is calling out he's like okay 19 come up 20 21 22 23 oh they have it in front of them so we're not um expecting them to remember their number we're just calling them up and then that card um if you guys wanted to do the music thing we talked about them or sorry giving them that card with their name Barbara Gan so that we could also have a volunteer near the main stage that can run that name to the MC if the group wishes to be identified if they think they're not going to if they don't have like a banner to identify themselves right because if they have a banner I know Charles is great at identifying them but let's say we have a new group we've never heard of in the parade and they working um diligently on the educational registry um so we can get a way to um have that up and just brainstorming there how many students that we have um we had about 13 show up no 13 that put their phone number um but there was about like 20 20 something 25 Pizza we them three boxes of Papa John sponsored by verton Papo um and yeah it was it was very chair bring additional chair middle school kids elementary school kids and high school kids I say 20 but something um and they were excited they're very excited to do it so we're going to basically we made it a competition right so the schools could compete and then they're gonna each school is going to submit their top you know video and top um flyer to us and then we will vote on the one that we think is the best for the town and we're I think we're going to give what did we say that's we have to discuss what are we going to give them we that's we we haven't decided on that yet we're to bring it to the board um that's what we talked about in that meeting but um if we can possibly maybe Amazon gift card or like anything that we're really thinking you know yeah exactly I think I printed the budget for you guys just keep in mind though um the this is where you're actually Clos as an old so however um I would kind of go based off of those numbers you see what you're going to get next year um Council hasn't um confirmed final numbers you know budget that's going to be done this week actually so I can't give you that number but it's a good Baseline uh it's this page five yeah so page five where it says the First Column that the breakdown at the bottom it tells you the stem schools that it goes to so it's Bob gram and Miami lak K through each receive $5,000 us well we don't know what they use it for they don't tell us I'm pretty it's a robotic program they actually go to like other states and things like that has the board ever requested like an explanation for that I don't know I can only this is kind this is what so I need some documentation to to give Finance for us to cut the checks and I I was actually sharing this as part of your package because this is I just received this last week from them for us to cut the checks um so she sends the user for robotics yeah it would be nice to have like something because we' like we're all new to the sport don't really know what where this money I year they just and they approve it but good questions because I think as time goes on people kind of get used so oh it's fine like somebody knows and whatever but it's good for every EXA transparency and make know where the can ask I know two years ago I know that ban received no two years ago last year they received some money that they use for the sound system and then oh yes that was also those were the stor funds I don't know how how familiar you guys are with that no not I'm not very those were like developer funds I mean we' have to go back but it's in the minutes those were developer funds it was handled through eabs but it was developer funds that were set aside I guess because when sator was built they was going to impact the schools in the area so they gave money and and don't quote me I don't know exactly where the money came but I know that there was funds because of that and then each school had to report back it was a quote how they were going to use those funds and I know some schools did signage HML I remember did like signage WAP around the schools some people got like new desk for the students to take their tests and stuff like that yeah the people at the committee men what you just said that they would like to have a report of how their funds are spended yeah well does esack can esac you ladies might know does can esac provide that to us or no who would who would provide that to well but but they may not if they're using esack funds yeah but not but not for this so no we need the school to tell us yeah so can we request that so would be and my because for the general suppli the other and then the other ones as you guys know the other ones I think we're all on the same page about so far because there was one of you you had sent me the question to ask the schools and they've got kind of gotten back to us on how exactly what they do with the Bap courses that we're having a meeting with them next month yeah that's also an opportunity they can also report they can tell us in that report we can ask them of course but it'd be nice for them to provide something that that goes into the right you know what I mean that's provided to the town we have Pro I'm sure they I don't know I just don't want to taxpayer money no tax ta I don't I buy a I can't buy a c but is i' have to produce receive for exactly you know want to make sure we're clear on and since we're all coming in at the same time while she's doing that do days have any ideas then for the reward for the flyer and the V and the video like the Jo team to go to like the school that wi or stud also SGA all the kids that came were SGA kids there were school's SGA were were here for presid so I don't know if we want to give it to the school's SGA or to the school I don't know or something I don't know want to do I think we need to figure out how the students who came representing SGA shared the information with their schools like are they going to have students within the school submit or are they the only that's thing thing thing we don't know so to me I should go to the school year cuz you think it'll be you have to reach out to them find out if they're opening this up to like all the clubs in the school to compete and then they because I know like when at the meeting that's the impression we gave for the SG to do that I know at certain schools I'm not going to name any schools they did open it up to clubs yeah so we have to ask what that how how they did it yeah okay gotcha so we'll find that out I'll find out and we'll determine if it's going to be because if it's C SGA say just G so they could use it for like their homecoming or their whatever whatever events they have at the school and if it's a club then if it's a club that club funds the club funds so they can get something once the fiscal year closes now will that roll over to next year so when it comes to budget money um does not roll over if you have sponsorship dollars they do roll over however and and I take this as an opportunity because I know a lot of you are new um in the committee rules it mentioned something about sponsorship dollars are always used first so if you even if you had sponsored dollars and you had extra really that money gets used first and then it's your budget that's left so the budget dollars don't get robable so it's just something to keep in mind as you're going through the year because if you don't use your money you guys are pretty good at using it because it's not a lot but for next but in case you ever have more CU it would have been nice to had that money to use it for give that pass it up to the S so then we can kind of save a little bit of money and also have more books to handang out um the schools collect books have the schools collect books they give it to us we store it where we store it um we have we can store the books yeah so we can collect we can have them obviously it would be children's books um and that's a great project by the way that is a great community service so share it with okay but we have to share that with the schools to get them to share it with their SG right you have to do that through intergovernmental or we do that I think right or do you want to I think either at the principal's meeting or the the principal's meeting coming up yeah or like that she that like I think we could say that both we can do it and she can do it with the students to also tell them to start collecting books and that we don't have to go too much them yeah if you want me to officially send it I I can um but I know they're going to ask me for a fer so tell you that with Scholastic she I know uh I know Kia asked us to look at Scholastic last year but it was an issue because they wouldn't create an account for us and I had to create an to get in like I they they're very specific about who can create an account and all that so we were not able to order books so we can't use pH well I mean there's a way but I remember even reaching out to like I guess their customer service and they told me that no we weren't going to be able to create an account and kind so we have to use them the one that she used you guys used last year well that's the one good amount of sponsors for the event so you had if you see there like obviously you started with $1,000 but there was 3,800 that you guys raised in sponsorship so then 4,800 for the event you didn't use it all so that's the reason you have money if it would have just been thousand it so how how much M you have to order have $600 $600 worth of books you can order thank you Jackie okay so she'll get that to you as soon as possible we send her the link of the thing so she can yeah let send you the she can start ordering I think I had shared can we clarify exactly who do I reach out cuz I don't want to violate state law or I swore she told me I'm GNA send it to you now yeah I can't tell I thought I had sent you guys we had ordered it from I didn't get that either but anyways I'll send it to you okay so she'll get that back to you so that's done okay last item uh 8 B elections we're missing three people so I don't want to talk about elections until they come we're just going to choose um Vice chair Vice chair but and Jessica are both out so I have to wait for them to come back at some point um I mean I feel like there's always a possibility that someone is out so you don't have to wait unless you think that they and I don't know if yeah if you think you want to then yeah and you can wait if not out of courtesy I want to wait for them to come back and then if when they come back they tell us they don't want to then whichever one of you ladies would like to run for co-chair that would be great or what is it Vice chair Vice chair next meeting so we'll defer it to the next um I asked integral or mental to send out a flyer but just in case um we have the annual Veterans Day Parade Sunday November 3rd I know a lot of your schools participate but you guys can if you have any groups or other schools that want to participate please invite them out the link is up and they just need sign up on sure participating they can send us the flyer anyway or the information anyway to the whole group just to have it I mean my kids always sign them for these they going sign up for both that they do both but you can share it with your kids Prett sure they're doing it what do they do for the veterans uh I know the parade the parade volunte yeah they need volunteers to help yeah we also have a volunteer link up as well that'll that gets pretty quick yeah but they're gonna keep
