Again, this is the official release of scores for Beachwood and Deerfield School. And keeping in mind this is the 2425 school year that we're reporting on. So, and we'll talk about the process. So, it is a 40 01:48:04.560 --> 01:48:21.280 compliance part of the bill that each school assess itself in the implementation of this law, the anti-bullying bill of rights. in the law it has certain components that you have to give yourselves a self- assessment 41 01:48:21.280 --> 01:48:37.360 grade on. Um so there is a school climate team in each building. The climate team uh here is composed of the principal guidance counselor uh anti-bullying specialist and as well as a parent representative. 42 01:48:37.360 --> 01:49:01.719 So that is the team that sits down and looks over the different elements that they assess themselves on. So those are the different components. Um, you have to give yourself a grade or a rating of 0 to three on uh 26 elements. So the highest total is 45 01:49:34.719 --> 01:49:50.400 a 78 is the score of a 78. Next slide please. You could see the comparison for Beachwood the overall growth from 23 24 to 25. We went from 72 in the 23 24 46 01:49:50.400 --> 01:50:07.520 school year to a 75 out of 78. That's a 4.2 increase. Keeping in mind that what happens is you submit these grades via NJ home room to the state and the state verifies them and that's what we're reporting today where the this is a 47 01:50:07.520 --> 01:50:23.199 state verified score that they come back and saying this is a final district and school score for uh for your your district. Next one. The breakdown. As you could see the scores, there was an 48 01:50:23.199 --> 01:50:40.400 increase in the 2425 school year for staff trainings. There was an increase in school level reporting procedures, an increase on HIV reporting to the state. We have to report to the state twice a year. Um, and then all other elements 49 01:50:40.400 --> 01:50:55.040 remained near perfect. So these these are the increased areas from the two previous years. Next, Deerfield had some great growth as well. Steady growth there from the 71 to a 73. 50 01:50:55.040 --> 01:51:12.320 And and while you know I I might say a a 73 is uh a decent score and a 78 is perfect, I don't believe that any district should give themselves a a 78. I don't. there's definitely room for 51 01:51:12.320 --> 01:51:26.960 always improving on how we're implementing this law. So, I appreciate the fact that the team understood their their role here and really being critical of our processes and making sure that, you know, we're giving 52 01:51:26.960 --> 01:51:45.119 ourselves a rating that is is fair and not inflated. All right, moving along, we see the areas of increase as well and some of the ones that stayed the same. So therefore, that's what increased over the past two years. School level reporting, HIV 53 01:51:45.119 --> 01:52:00.960 reporting, and HIV investigation was a perfect score and curriculum and instruction. I do believe we did some leg work if I'm not mistaken from the previous year in our investigation procedure with our attorney, which I believe helped keep that score or elevate that score as well for 54 01:52:00.960 --> 01:52:19.040 Beachwood. So, I'm glad to see that. Beachwood highlights successful completion of HIV specific suicide prevention training for all staff. We strengthened school level reporting procedures. We are 100% compliant and we are achieving a very high score 55 01:52:19.040 --> 01:52:35.199 75 out of 78. Next to your field progress maintaining a perfect 12 out of 12 score in HIV investigation procedures which means that we're meeting all the timelines the reporting timelines to the board the reporting back to parents as well. 56 01:52:35.199 --> 01:52:51.520 uh doing a curriculum based HIV instruction for students when needed and as well as really doing the improvements in the core elements of reporting and official data posting to the state. Um, and they went into a program that it's best to say it was like Shark Tank, right? So they they put together a proposal. So if they win, they'll then present at the Atlantic City convention um for the school boards. U, but they came up with an idea um to improve a boat motor and to make it uh more eco-friendly.
