And we've also been making postpartum kits for new mothers so that they can focus on themselves while also taking care of the new babies. Yesterday, participants had several tasks like boxing pasta, which comes in like one poundsiz bags. It's a great trip and yesterday we made overall 1,3 boxes of pasta that will go to families. And two 12 00:03:06.640 --> 00:03:22.159 weeks ago the academyy's program had its annual academy breakfast which is always a great way for our students to connect to each other through various exercises. Uh they got to caps and gowns and they got to enjoy the moment and celebrate this milestone. Coming up, we have our spring concerts and art show in the next couple of weeks. The art show, orchestra, and band will be performing on Tuesday, and the chorus will take the stage the following week on the 27th. Britney started part-time, then went full-time. Athletic training is odd hours. You're dealing with a lot of stressed out parents and kids who always want to get out on the field. As for a district update, uh Emma hit on a lot of things. I just want to reiterate um last week was teacher appreciation week, nurses appreciation week. She could not do that without them. And you know, I try to make it a habit of being in the buildings all the time and interacting interacting with all these children. All those different interactions, I have them in little snippet moments and I have to take it deep sometimes and these teachers deal with it all the time and they do a wonderful thing and they don't do it for the money. I will continue with some really great news and I'm always saying how Milford boggles my mind with how many awards they win with these children. So they won the best small delegation award which is truly amazing out of all the towns that compete. Mania earned the conference's highest individual honor, best delegate. Elliot and Nvika received honorable delegate awards while Sophia and Antella earned verbal commendations. But if students are motivated, our teachers in our district can get them to levels that even other districts are not getting to. This is a routine thing now. Um on Saturday, May 9th, four of our talented sixth grade students attended the North Jersey Elementary Band Festival and performed in two bands of 100 students each. The Dayong festival was held at Mount Al Middle School and ran from 9 to 3. So again, we are very proudly representing um our students there. Um the old record was hold held by AJ Scopa who I used to coach and he is very into his records and so we texted him immediately that it went down. Uh, freshman Peter became the first golfer to qualify for both the sectional and county golf tournament in history. Um, but we're hoping for the best. Um we actually made this connection in meeting with um representatives from the Orthodox Jewish community appointed us uh to a few rabbis. The children, the students edit it, send it back to the professional people, and they edit it into a huge like a real documentary. So, we are very, very excited about that. We're hoping to continue this relationship and next year possibly do it again. Um I think this speaks to motivation amongst the student body. Um and in all three cases here it's math classes. Um we recently submitted the bilingual program waiver request. So it's uh English language instruction for an additional period with our ESL teachers. So the student learning standards are made up of nine subjects or content areas. Uh, seven out of the nine are being revised right now. Although we're kind of looking at each other and scratching our heads because it's kind of late. Um, but nothing surprises me. We're getting going, at least in science. They were up for public comment. What we recently did an undertaking of was in our student information system. Um that's a document that's good for valid for one year. Um, and so we now are trying to update all of our 97 00:26:25.279 --> 00:26:41.919 records so that we don't have this huge undertaking and it'll just be a monthly every month that a lease expires or an affidavit expires that those families will be contacted.
