good evening everybody hope you're staying dry um so for the Yale right now at the Y they are getting ready for ELA mcast students are doing final preperations for tests and class as well as our llt which is lens your learning time which is our RIT block periods which we have each day on mcass we start with an early morning recess to get the blood pumping and our bodies engaged for testing then a morning snack then students have the rest of the morning available for testing students then go to lunch in recess and have their specialist their Specialists rescheduled to the afternoon most of our kids end up saying how much fun they love mcast days because they feel as if the days fly by and are actually fun and for the JCS they took on the for SC maath challenge this morning trying to captur the National Record for puzzles completed by a school in 10 minutes for St stands for St off what you're doing strr doing ST math puzzles have the sdam to keep going and then sdom to a dance party if you capture the new high score our goal was to be 9,700 puzzles as a school and we are proud to say that the JCS completed those puzzles and to cele right held dance parties in each of the lunches would G do yourself many thanks to Mrs R and Mrs diet for making this event so special and then from the high school students are excited to get to vacation in two weeks but even but even as we look ahead there have been so many amazing things happening spring sports are in full swing last week Norton High School hosted a very cool Steam Community event with uh businesses students staff and the community it was a great event prompt tickets go on sale next week the spring musical starts next week which shows on Friday Saturday Sunday April 5th 6th and 7th you come Friday before break will be the opportunity Fair which which will be open to all Juniors and seniors over 30 area businesses and organizers coming to Showcase their potential careers where so to make great than guys any questions or comments no okay uh next up we have the vote to appoint Robert Kimel to the permanent building committee for those of you who don't know the membership of the permanent building committee it's approve both the school committee and the board of select the board of SEL already appointed or sorry already approved Mr Kimbell uh is there any question or comment on this no no okay uh Mr Kim is not here so I'm assuming he does want to speak on his behalf um I would entertain a motion to approve Robert Kimbell to the permanent building committee second in favor you can reach out to the board SEL building Comm and tell as well absolutely okay uh next up we have a superintendent evaluation process all right so it is at um where you guys have the opportunity to um evaluate my efforts um since the beginning last July um during the beginning of the year we had talked about wanting to do this um before the spring election so we had um a full committee that was able to go through um and provide feedback so you have the rubric that gos along with the superintendent evaluation um and you each have one of these end of cycle summited so the way that it works that each member of the committee goes through um fills out the summative uh report based on your um props and your feedback and then they are hand it into the chair um to compile and come up with an overarching FR so um I think our goal is to have it so it is done publicly at our meeting on April 25th um which will be our last me for this if that works for anybody sense sure yeah I think particular methology it implies that we don't tell you that we have an issue or that we think something is okay at the moment the action so that's certain true but I understand this is so it's very similar to our teacher valuation process we're constantly having conversations about what's going now constructive feedback but again required no questions or comments on that should we dat April 15 24th barely put her Fe she's here that makes sense what we what's that what's that Monday the 22nd before the 25th 22nd yeah I mean I guess from the process she just takes them collects them and then does so ultimately there needs to be one ranking for each of the criteria so right so three of you say needs Improvement and one person says proficient it's easy clearly if it's something that is like two people said this this whatever um fine yeah do 21st yeah full week uh 21st Sunday 21st yeah can you send Us's 18 yeah I found in the past we can get it electronically you just kind of open a new document just kind of basted out rather than like scan in a paper document so we can get that a copy electronically so you can just a l EAS for all right anything else on that no no all right we'll move on then review and go agreement July 1 2024 before did you want to go through this update or is that just for that is for you I'm more than happy to go through it um there is an update on my goals um the purpley color is we update from um this March and I just like okay I don't need you to but if somebody doine yeah I was just looking at the sheet I think it's on the 2 yeah we're all proficient you had a facial expression that I wasn't sure that if you wanted me to or not [Music] so okay with meetings I don't know why recently I finish so early okay so um previously this year we um the committee voted to um approve the addition of wh Hansen Regional School District and Brock public schools to the reads collaborative this is the updated collaborative agreement that needs to be voted on by each of the school Mak the only changes that are here in this agreement um are just simply the addition of those so um this agreement will stand as is for the next several years until an adjustment to be made but it's kind of you know approved once and then it's in perpetuity until things change so just needs to um approve any questions on that my only question which I don't think really pertains but just like from a obviously re space from our schools nothing in here that we're that through 28 29 whatever that is a totally separate I thought okay um if there are no other questions or comments I would entertain a motion to approve the new reads collaborative as written so moved second all those in favor post thank you all right and in Tandon with that hand in hand uh V to appoint superintendent to board of directors of reeds collaborative for the 2024 25 school year thank you so throughout the course of the school year uh the reads board comes together to um he updates about what's going on in programming we vote on different policies um Etc and typically either a school Community member be the representative on the board or you can um appoint me as your representative to cab rep so um meetings are typically during the day sometimes they're in person in M Bar they're virtual so I I've been going this year and don't mind continuing that so we just need to approve does every member ofs collaborative have us spot does anybody uh wish to supersede Dr we all right uh seeing seeing nobody step up to the plate on that one I would entertain a motion to approve Dr O'Neal uh to our as our representatives of board of directors for the re collab for 2024 2025 so moved second second all those in favor I post all right um next up we have other business any maybe we have other business um I guess the only I did I visit the new town hall got a little there it's not open yet um but yeah very nice huge superintendent room is massive which is good because I think like meetings like no not superintend up select board's room um this huge uh but like for meetings of join or whatever makes sense that's good it's all framed out anticipated I believe to open like August first you should be in first sept that should be very nice addition it's kind of breakout conference rooms to which will be huge ton of meeting areas so I'm hoping too if it would make sense that looking into next year moving us that way that to so yeah I mean I know we're not in the best Financial positions right now as town but but that was Sly needed along along with the senior center and and our Fields as well you was people can be against the three projects but it doesn't change they were they were s of time so the update we got on senior just doesn't Perman build there you've been a little behind um with the senior center hopefully you were originally supposed to open that first and the town hall might be a little different um but overall this seem to be on pace which is good and then there so right now Sor have toor sorry that for back up okay um Bo now you're just asking it's not on there right we're going to revisit the vote number seven to point Dr okay I'm just making I'm trying to I'm reading this into the minutes this is not a new vote correct okay all right pursuing to chapter 40 section 4E as amended by chapter 43 of the acts of 2012 members of the board of directors at reeds collabor are to be appointed annually Jennifer O'Neal is appointed to serve as the nor Public Schools representative on the board of directors of breeds collaborative in accordance with Massachusetts general laws chapter 40 section 4E is amended by chapter 43 of the acts of 2012 for the 20124 2025 school all right okay good now all right uh any other business okay um seeing not the business I
