representative update so well good evening everybody hope you're staying dry um so for the Yale right now at the Yale they are getting ready for ELA mcast students are doing final operations for testing class as well as our llt which is L learning time which is our RIT block periods which we have each day on mcast we start with an early morning recess to get the blood pumping and our bodies engaged for testing then a morning snack then students have the rest of the morning available for testing students then go to lunch in recess and have their specialist their Specialists rescheduled to the afternoon most of our kids end up saying how much fun they love mcasting because they feel as if the days fly by and are actually fun and for the JCS they took on the for SC math challenge this morning chying to captured the National Record for puzzles completed by a school in 10 minutes Forst stands for STD off what you're doing Str strr doing ST math puzzles have the STM enough to keep going and then sdom to a dance party if you capture the new high score our goal was to be 9,7 100 puzzles as a school and we are proud to say that the JCS completed those puzzles and to celebrate how dance parties in each of the lunches with G yourself many thanks to Mrs R and Mrs di for making this event so special and then from the high school students are excited to get to vacation in two weeks but even but even as we look ahead there have been so many amazing things happening spring sports are in full swing last week Norton High School hosted a very cool Steam Community event with uh businesses students staff and the community it was a great event prompt tickets go on sale next week the spring musical starts next week which shows on Friday Saturday Sunday April 5th 6th and 7th you watch come Friday before break will be the opportunity Fair which which will be open to all Juniors and seniors over 30 area businesses and organizers coming to Showcase their potential careers or work we tonight great thanks guys any questions or comments no okay uh next up we have the vote to appoint Robert Kimble to the permanent building committee for those of you who don't know the membership of the permanent building committee it's approve both the school committee and the board of select the board of Select already appointed or sorry already approved Mr Kimble uh is there any question or comment on this no no okay uh Mr Kimel is not here so I'm assuming he does want to speak on his behalf um I would entertain a motion to approve Robert Kimbell to the permanent building committee so second second all in fav you reach out to the board SEL and tell as well okay uh next up we have a superintendent evaluation process all right so it is at um where you guys have the opportunity to um evaluate my efforts um since the beginning last July um during the beginning of video we had talked about wanting to do this um before the spring election so we had um a full committee that was able to go through um and provide feedback so you have the rubric that gos along with the superintendent evaluation um and you each have one of these end of cycle summited so the way that it works that each member of the committee goes through um fills out the summi uh report based on your um props and your feedback and then they are handed into the chair um to compile and up with overarching FR so um I think our goal is to have it so it is done publicly at our meeting on April 25th um which will be our last me for if that works sense sure yeah I think I particularly methology it implies that we don't tell you that we have an issue or we think something is okay at the moment the action so that's certainly true but I understand this is so that's very similar to our teacher evaluation process we're constantly having conversations about what's going nowr feedback but again required so okay no questions or comments on that we set a DAT to get like April 15 24th put she's unforunately here to defend so no that makes sense why don't we what's that what's that Monday the 22nd before the 25th 22nd yeah I mean I guess from the process she just takes them collects them and then does what so ultimately there needs to be one ranking for each of the criteria so right so if three of you say needs Improvement and one person says proficient easy clearly something that like two people said this whatever um yeah want do 21st then that for a full week to uh 21st Sunday 21st yeah can you send usally 18 let's set the 18 okay yeah I found in the past we we get an electronically you just kind of open a new document just kind of paste out rather than like scanning in a paper documents so if we can get that a copy electronically so you can just that comp be a lot easier for her Scrat Perfect all right uh anything else on that no no all right we'll move along then review and vote on coll agreement think July 1 2024 before we move on did you want to go through this update or is that just for that is for you I'm more than happy to go through it um there is an update on my goals um the purple color is the update from um this March I like me to go through uh I don't need you to but if something does just looking at the sheet I think on the 25th we make some updates we all you had a facial expression that I wasn't sure that if you wanted me or not so yeah okay now we will Mo on done with meetings I don't know why so few recently I finish so early okay so um previously this year we um the committee voted to um approve the addition of withman Hansen Regal school district and Brock public schools to the Reeds collaborative um this is the updated collaborative agreement that needs to be voted on by each of the school committees U the only changes that are here in this agreement um are just simply the addition of those two so um this agreement will stand as is for the next several years until an adjustment to be made it's kind of know approved once and then it's in perpetuity until things change or needs to um approve any questions on that n my only question which I don't think it pertains but just like from uh obviously rren space from our schools nothing in here that we're that through 28 29 whatever that is a totally separate thought okay um if there are no other questions or comments I would entertain a motion to approve the new reads collaborative as written so moved second all those in favor post thank you all right and in Tandon with that hand in hand vote to appoint superintendent to board of directors of reads collaborative for the 20242 school year thank you so throughout the course of the school year uh the reads board comes together to um hear updates about what's going on in programming we vote on different policies um Etc and typically either a school communte member be the repres representative on the board or you can um appoint me as your representative to the GRE collaborative board so um meetings are typically during the day sometimes they're in person in Middle bar virtual so I I've been going this year and don't mind continuing that so just to does every member of reeds collaborative have a spot on Cor does anybody uh wish to supersede Dr we would that's all right uh seeing seeing nobody step up to the plate on that one I would entertain a motion to approve Dr O'Neal uh to our is our representatives of board of directors for the re collab 204 2025 school year so moved second second all those in favor I post all right um next up we have other business any anybody have other business um I guess the only thing I did I visit the new town hall not open yet um but yeah very nice huge superintendent room is massive which is good because I think like meetings that no not superintend sorry select board's room um this huge uh but like for meetings of joint or whatever Mak sense that's good it's all framed out anticipated I believe to open like August 1 should be in there for September that should be very nice addition kind of break outs to which will be huge ton of meeting areas so I'm hoping too make sense that looking into next year moving us that way so yeah I mean I know we're not in the best of financial positions right now as a town but that was soly needed along along with the senior center and and our Fields as well this people can be against the three projects but it doesn't change anything sort of time so now the update we got on senior just because Perman building there you've been a little behind um with the senior center hopefully you were originally supposed to open that first then the town hall might be a little different um but overall this seem to be on pace which is good and then they're also right now budget so sorry sorry is appointed to serve as the Norton Public Schools representative on the board of directors of breeds collaborative in accordance with Massachusetts general laws chapter 40 section 4E is amended by
