or is on the agenda by all means come on hello good even council members Kim King 4766 Street um first I'd like to uh acknowledge and thank Tanya Barrow for her assistance on a matter dealing with a family member who was having an issue if not for you and your contacts we would not have gotten the information that we needed and I appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to help us so I wanted to publicly acknowledge you um the second thing I wanted talk about is the boat launch at Earl gber Park um two weeks ago my husband and I went to go put our boat in the water and there was four adults fishing on the boat launch and two tiny tiny little girls playing in and out of the water and underneath the dock out there um there are no signs posted on the boat launch St how old were they do you think they were under 10 they were both under 10 and they were wearing life jackets no okay no and from the beginning of the boat launch all the way down the dock and all the way back they had garments shoes clothing fishing tackle everything laying all over the dock when my husband approached them and told them that we were going to be putting the boat in the water none of them moved would pull wouldn't pull the uh lines out of the water or anything um my only issue was the little girls because with boats pulling in and backing in and out like that somebody's going to get killed was there any Rhyme or Reason why they wouldn't use the brand new fishing P that is my issue and that's why I'm asking if the city would consider putting up a sign at the boat launch that specifically States no fishing and no sing around yeah boat launching only MH um CU that was they wouldn't even get their children when we tried to back down little girls were just running in and out around it I think we could put a sign up Council you want to have any conversation on this that's a very good idea just just indicating that that specific spot is a boat launch probably should do that at ergil at Pete Park also and I didn't know I don't know if Tony I don't know where he went if he was aware or not um at the launch site there is or used to be a small finger dock for loading and unloading it is gone a finger dock um a step down oh yeah for you to get in and out the boats easier it has disappeared and there are two uh 2 by 12s that are jutting out it's fixed is it fixed okay I it two weeks ago so I didn't know if it had been fixed or not okay all right was causing issues cuz boats could run up you're talking about where you can get into the boat with docks yeah I didn't know if anybody knew it was damaged or not but the two boards sticking out somebody's they it gets damaged all the time if you look around the bottom of the pier there you'll see car tires all over the Bott they hung them on there so people wouldn't beat their boats up and they throw them in the water it was totally missing that's why I just wanted to bring it to somebody's attention to make sure but the sign about no fishing and no swimming would be huge out there because it would then give us voters voters a voice when somebody uh argues back there's no sign here it says we can't fish no you're right point it out to us just for safety things we'll take take idea I was down there um and I saw the same thing you saw kids playing in that area um if they were on the other side where the beach is they should have been over there yeah I just wanted to bring it nobody the pier wasn't that busy so there's no reason why those no reason whatsoever I just wanted to bring it to your attention thank you in the public meeting try go alphabetically I'm so sorry I did not put those next time they'll be an I think I got it um 850 Construction Services LLC give you the Bas amount is 746,000 746,000 8560 so 746 8560 um and the bid award will be based on the base good BCL is the second one $728,000 even so 28 5ol is next Moni 799,000 82467 821 467 the last one is Roberts and Roberts their total is 73,8 gentlemen is a uh partial split on Lake Drive before we have this conversation uh I have a document I'd like to pass out to each of you um this is uh Mr Johnson the owner of this property uh has some outstanding code enforcement violations on another piece of property I would like to state that I don't want this I don't want to move for with any further business until those are resolved if you would R review that that I give one sir I one for the last several months we've asked them to cut the grass on Second Street it's almost 11t tall uh we can't enforce one rule for one person and not for other folks and uh wasn't so much Mr Johnson that the court speaking to but to his assistant we've cited them we've now fined them and I would like this resolved before we move forward with any other business should we table this to uh next meeting uh we can but that would mean table all of it you say yes sir yep that's what you'd like to do I'd like to see the correction done before we could approve any kind of development on absolutely property absolutely so uh we got a motion to make sure this moves to the second meeting of the month and then the correction would have to be last week or whatever and it's going to because I have two big oak trees that I can't do nothing with oh man so that means my my shed is the the property is going to be 8 in I can't move over it's going to be 8 inches Shor of moving off the allow okay L now you've explained it that's good it's better for me too I'm going to open the floor to a public hearing so there anybody in the audience would like to address this um if my understanding is correct from what I've read what you just said you want to put a shed on your property yes sir but you got a couple of trees that are too big to fit yes well it's from this fence line instead of moving the full width over lik to build a shed back on it I done moved it over some I like 8 in coming in okay okay and if I if I come another if I move it over that 8 in I'm going to be so close to the oak trees they just going to shoot it up out of it I can't take no what now what size is your building 14 by 16 oh it's a little guy Council any conversation you want me to discuss the variance process mayor yeah um did we want to go for the variance Council we did I think we I'd just make a motion to approve his request to to build his shed where it's at where it's at I guess it was blown over by the HRI the original shed was blown over now you getting a new shed basically yeah but well it was damaged bad and and it was really it was so close to the fence this has been existing for since far it was about this far I had to get put the lad on outside fence to get to it so I took off a foot or two foot off of it you know to make the sh and I've been trying to build me a shed back to get further off the line okay forever but my deal is I have two big oak trees and 14 by 16 is is a shed that I really need to off close cut sh okay that when we have an adversarial situation where another attorney is involved that the mayor and the council no longer communicate with that person or that attorney so you all of your Communications from this point on will be with Mr Timothy Sloan thank you Mr Mayor the t is asking for a continuance at this point of this item on the agenda council do we want to continue this or we want to go ahead and rule on it if you review your packet it'll tell you the answer to the question I got questions about U is there a backflow meter on the property there is is there city sewer on the property or is a septic it's city sewer it's not connected to city sewer MERS it's a setic tank okay but but there is a back blow well there was one in the front yard when it broke last January in the cold season because I went there to try to turn the water off so she wouldn't have a thousands of dollar water bill yes sir so apart from that I can't answer your question as whether it's active or not um all I can tell you is is this is um uh this just for the council to agree or disagree uh you have opportunity right now we could we can vote on it or not vote on it it's up to you guys well you would need a motion mayor if if the council wants to continue it you would have to have a motion to do that if there's no motion then you would proceed Yep this property's already been classified as a single family dwelling yes yes according to the paperwork I'm holding here and they're trying to turn it back toly family dwelling I'm not sure who is or who isn't but I think I think think that they're trying to sell it as a multif family dwelling but once it's sold it's it's not grandfathered in anymore so we sitting here on this subject no we're not I'm just waiting for open conversation for the councel to decide what you want to do moving forward I'll make a motion to deny this variance okay we have a motion to deny the variance second we have a second Madam Clark will you please ldr but it's not going to get you in here honestly well we don't have further discussion it's over the council chose not to continue the issue Mr Haney made the motion it was on the floor uh I didn't five is there I don't have a second page um Mr Chapel you have the floor sir uh the only thing I have to say is U your wall is built around the uh black hole we got the angels in today they'll be uh put in up on the wall sometime this week um if you want to go and put a name tag on I'm working with a company right now to try to get it someplace between 16 and $20 um to be able to put a three line uh name on there you could put the man's rank or the woman's rank uh the name uh What uh service Branch he was in uh what war he was in when he died or whatever and it doesn't have he doesn't have to die in a war he can be uh just a a serviceman or something like that but it is a memorial for veterans so like I say I'm working on the name tags and that's kind of a stumbling block right now the other thing is uh Saturday we have a uh yard sale at the uh ballpark um anybody wants to go and set up the booth or something like that for for tailgate sale U they welcome to do that um the sale will start at 8:00 in the morning and go until noon um you'll be out there with some people to sign your name and a telephone number so if you leave a mess you will be called to come and clean up your mess after it's over with and U I guess that's I guess that's about the barn that we're building out there uh supposed to be delivered roughly Friday it probably take at least a week or so to put it up at least it'll be out there by the FR can I add Mr Chapel we're going to dedicate the memorial once it's up and finished and get 13 in there so I'd like to invite all of you and the clerk will put something out on social media letting you know when we're going to dedicate the dedicated it should look very very nice I haven't seen the angels in place are they over there now did you do it they
