election um I believe that and I stand with all those that you know stand with the word of Truth okay and um you all can see who speaks truth who talks out of both sides of their mouth who is someone that can't be trusted so I'm going to leave it at that councilwoman Cen I wish you much luck to the rest of my colleagues to my brother shaheim khik um I've been working with you for the past eight years you've been a person of your word and I really appreciate that to the rest of my colleagues good luck my votee is yes to close thank you madam clerk not going to be labor this long there was a comment that was made earlier with regard to the item that was placed on the agenda for M Miss uh Janette it's very critical that people understand their roles just because you hold a certain seat doesn't mean you have any more Authority than anyone else the legislation is clear here any councilman is is is capable of putting any item on an agenda on the workshop agenda doesn't require a phone call it doesn't require requests doesn't require a a a an email any of the sort any councilman is entitled to put any item on the agenda which then should move forward to the regular meeting agenda but that practice has been um railroaded anyway um very uh uh pleased with the with the reception that I've been receiving looking forward to the 14th and um and also someone raised a valid point for these um forums if you would first of all I think we need legitimate debates but um it makes no sense to have them so late after the absentee ballots has been already casted um but uh Madam clerk maybe that's something that we should consider the next time around changing the date for the uh the forums um to be before the uh absentee ballots are are are mailed out okay but um with that I know you have a lot in your plate a lot of manage and deal with with that being said um my vote is yes thank you um councilman Jackson councilman K thank you Madame clerk it's almost 1:00 May 14th is the election day second or residents I'm very excited and I'm happy the reception I'm getting on the street knocking on the door um I'm very thankful of the resident of the second word May 14th make sure close the public person to close a meeting thank you councilman urin councilman valz so as my colleague stated uh May 14 is the election day for the municipal government for or elect uh council members in in each Ward um as everybody knows since 2016 I have improved the quality of life in the Fifth Ward more than 200 plus property came out of the status abandon and now we have more than 36 new projects in the Fifth Ward 90% of our roles in the fifth W was re resurface two parks came back to life Roberto Clemente and Luke Costello Park we invested millions of dollars in the uh great force area and we will continue the progress in the fifth War under the leadership of Louis valz so everyone out there knows I'm in 4 a for Action four more years true and real leadership the people's coun in my vote is yes M CL thank you councilman Val Mr president president council president clerk I'd like to change my vote Yes um um as I stated before you know wishing all the candidates luck I believe that everyone has the right to to um run for office especially when you're passionate and when you have a plan um but the honest truth is is that um I failed to to mention you know individuals that truly truly I believe in their leadership and unfortunately you know out of sight out of mind um councilman abdulaziz is not here but I truly believe that he deserves uh his reelection as he's proven results you can all go through the six W and see of all of the work that he's done and um uh throughout not just the six word but also the city um so I'll take it down from the 6th to the 5ifth although he thinks he's the only one that works the most I have to say that you cannot take away that every candidate that is running against him cannot speak about his performance he works hard but he is not the one that works the most let's put that on note so you know I'm looking forward to councilman V's re-election you know taking it to the fourth all right councilwoman cotton I mean as I stated before most definitely um you've been working for many many years and you do understand governance and that's why I really do appreciate and and I'm looking forward to working with you for the next few years um taking it to the third I have to say it you may agree to disagree and make statements about council president Alex Mendes but the reality is he is a people's person he's out there working day in day out he's made many changes and I look forward to the reelection and for you to maintain in your seat taking it to the second truly truly as I stated before uh councilman um KH has done a lot and has more to do uh a new plan that's coming along with some other projects that are in place in the second ward so I'm looking forward to his reelection and let me just tell you the second ward is very happy to have him as a representative and taking it down to the last to the first I believe that you know we've had a councilman in place for years someone that I've supported many many years but I've realized that the first W that I've lived there for over 25 years I'm not there now I'm in the third W I'm back there I realize that there needs to be different leadership there um and I am supporting faia Santana on record she is 3A on the ballot the rest of my colleagues are all 1A except councilman um velis who is 4 a with that said four more years for all my colleagues thank you very much my vote is yes to close thank you conoman DAV Mr President thank you so very much uh thank you Council C my councilwoman uh M sadava for your endorsement and I I just want to take this quick moment to thank all the resident of the third war for the for the incredible support that I've been getting in this election I run out of signs and I do apologize because I'm getting a lot of text of people waiting for signs and and I have to make more signs to go around but the most important is your support this may4 I have done uh for the last four years been in great pleasure to serve my third WF resident and the entire city of patteron and it's it's um I feel blessed because I'm getting a lot of call from other area from people that they don't see me on the ballot and and just the respond is uh I mentioned that in the beginning because I'm getting a lot of calls people they want to vote for me but they live in another sect of the city so I'm running only for the third world thank you for the great support to all my third world resident we have done an amazing job in the last four years renovating all the park around the third war it's been amazing to walk around my community uh and see the progress in the third war I've been active since I became the councilman here and as I mentioned before being in touch with the community for me is one of the most important piece and since I became the councilman of the third war those town hall meeting I never stopped those town hall meeting meeting with the people meeting with the community taking care of the need of the people there's a big difference between my between me and and and my opponent uh so and by far Alice meant this is the right candidate to be the councilman of the third War I want to say thank you again for all the great support this May 14 let's go out and vote I've been fighting for my taxpayer helping people in the community making sure that you have a true and real representation and that's what I bringing to the table so this may 14 this election is extremely important I'm looking forward to continue serving the community and give the love and the respect that my third world resident deserve a a a big thank you to the Jamaican community in the great City patteron for the incredible support that I'm getting uh so there was a person that stopped me today and say thank you Council M mendz for acknowledging the Jamaican Community by renaming a portion of Brean Avenue and I and my respon was listen that's the minimal thing that we could do for the contribution that our Jamaican Community has been doing in the city of patteron for years and years we have so many Doctor engineer architect people professional that live in the city of Pon making our city better because the our Jamaican Community is called patteron home and all the resident of the third world so it's been a privilege um yesterday I saw a few people from out of town playing um tennis at East Side park and I I I I was very excited people from out of town they visiting our community that's what I want to see I want to see a city that could bring all people into our community so we're going to continue fighting for the uh issues that are affecting our community uh as you hear before there's a lot of PS there we're putting a lot of pressure to public work to the administration to make sure that we provide the service that our constituent deserve so once again Alex Mendes 1A let's move the city forward thank you my vote is yes yes Mr President before I announce the votes I just want to um
