questions and the council or Administration will then respond if necessary all said Sid Madison 176 Blackford Avenue um at the end I'd like a like a summary of what happened to my proposal that is supposed to go to the planning com planning board and see what the status of that is but first I'd like to speak to our neighbors do not understand that we are in a climate crisis I'll explain that but first some facts Koto that was the protocol in the late 90s that was intended to decrease greenhouse gas emissions they are higher today than they were in 1990 I.E no reductions have been made that is the reason I said last week at our white hat is gray and the black hat of the fossil fuel industry is shiny item number two the 204 2024 projection the projection for 2024 is that global temperatures will be over 1.5 degrees 1.5 degrees as a reminder was the aspirational goal of the Paris agreement number three future projection based on current policies worldwide the projections are that global temperatures could reach over three degrees remember I just mentioned the aspirational goal of 1.5 three would be twice that the other goal was supposed to be the red line was two degrees three is way over the thing those are the reason use the the climate crisis now about our neighbors Pew according to the Pew Research Center 74% considered climate change to be a serious problem and Pew in the latest ratings of issues climate came in at 11 of 16 which is which is low but it's as high as I've ever seen it which sounds like good news except climate change should be priority number one much higher than any other one why because even if future Generations take the expensive step or process of removal of atmospheric carbon dioxide atmospheric temperatures Do not drop significantly for at least 1,000 years which will continue the climate impacts that we have at the time that we quit putting carbon dioxide into the air so the point here is to educate your neighbors that we have to do it as fast as we can U so I'm I'm done uh but I would like an answer to the question I asked at the beginning thank you Mr Madison we're gonna continue with the public portion and then when after the meeting we can come and talk to you thank you so much anyone else in the public wishing to speak may do so at this time please come to the podium state your name and address and note that you have three minutes in which to make your comments good evening Council David aens ose Valley Lane are we on the consent agenda right now had the well I me comment on this is just public so you can comment on anything to be honest we voted already on the consent agenda okay on item on the consent agenda item 8 Alpha you're talking about a smell and the Public Works how long has the smell been going on and this 178,000 is that to immediate the smell or is that the final cost or is there more cost associated with that uh we're hoping that this will be it uh these are reports that are being filed GP and we're continuing to to monitor that David was where we had the old underground storage tanks for fuel Diesel and gasoline uh out there the there was a uh I guess for lack of a better word a small crack not in the double hole but the top where it gets filled into the tank and that's why we U closed down that facility and we built everything above ground have all of our Diesel and gas now is above ground the 178,000 represent being required by the d uh because once you notify of a spill that happened like eight nine years ago you you have to monitor the area you know we have areas in town where companies are been monitoring 20 25 years okay um item number zero it advertising is that that's done is it being done or is there a cost associated with that David this is to help supplement our it Department we're in the process of revamping everything uh we're looking to upgrade our server uh and also our memory we're still working with 20 year old um applications out there so we we want to come into the 21st century this is like everybody else this Mr Mayor this is in our budget though yes the budget this uh there will be a much larger outlay next year once the consultant says what we have to have um you know we our servers are due the last time we we actually changed everything on I think was in 2007 okay but the C just put us this way we got our money's worth this is already in this year's budget so okay on the agenda for November 26 the resolution authorizing a water bid 2025 and 2026 janitorial services have that been finalized and if so what's that cost that that has been think the bids came in Dana right here this is for both uh all all the government complexes yes so the amount is uh 97,000 um approximately $97,000 for 2025 for janitorial service for all Township buildings and 2026 2026 is 999,000 thank you thank you Mr aens there's anyone else in the public question is speak at this time and may do so by coming to the podium state your name and address and note that you have three minutes in which to make your comments see none we're going to close the public portion for those who are here in person that'll bring us to number 13 which is an adjournment do I have an offer offer do I have a second okay very good all those in favor say I hi we are adjourned thank you have a good night e e
