good morning and welcome once again I'm very excited to be here with you this morning I'm Mrs Jones the principal here I've had the pleasure of being the principal here for the last four years and I'm very excited to celebrate this wonderful group of students I'm going to going to introduce staff now because I tend to get excited and then I forget people so with to my um left is Mr babola assistant principal Miss pental assistant principal and then in the front row here I'm just going to go no particular order we have Miss banet Miss Switzer miss simus miss monis Mr heenen Miss Adams Miss kopage Miss Kelly Miss Marsha and Miss Sullivan so thank you oh miss Manson I almost forgot her cuz she's standing um a wonderful staff and of course this could not happen without all of them never mind all of the teachers that were here and that um also contributed to the education of your children they did get to do a little walk this morning and all of their teachers got to clap and uh congratulate them on this special day so let's get started we have a lot of exciting things to celebrate first off I'm going to call my friend Adeline Paige um and up and Ayan Gonzales for the Pledge of Allegiance so come on up friends and then our flag is to the back so I'm going to have everyone stand and please face the flag at the back of the gym that's perfect facing the back right you ready is that right here I PL of aliance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible with liy and justice for all thank you ladies thank you to Adeline and Ayana all right so once again good morning everyone students families teachers and friends today is a day of Celebration we are here to honor and recognize the hard work and achievements of our wonderful students who are graduating from elementary school this is a momentous occasion a day to reflect on all that you have accomplished and to look forward to an exciting Journey that lies ahead As We Gather here I am reminded of a powerful and a favorite quote by the remarkable Maya Angelou do the best you can until you know better then when you know better do better this quote carries a Timeless message that is particularly relevant to all of you as you move on to the next chapter of your educational Journey the first part do the best you can is something you all have already already been doing over the years you have tackled challenging math problems explored new worlds through books conducted science experiments and learned to express yourselves through ART music and writing you have made friends you have learned to work as a team and shown kindness and respect to those around you in all these ways you have done your best until today we celebrate those efforts the second part of the quote until you know better speaks to the importance of learning and growing each every day is an opportunity to learn something new each lesson whether in the classroom or in life helps us grow and understand the world a little better you have learned so much during your time here at e po school and this knowledge is a foundation upon which you will continue to build finally Maya Angelou encourages us to do better once we know better this is a call to action a reminder that with knowledge comes responsibility as you move on to Middle School you will face new challenges and opportunities you will learn more about yourselves about others and about the world around you with this new knowledge you will be equipped to make even better choices to strive for excellence and to make a positive difference in the world as you leave Elementary School behind and step into the next phase of your education remember that learning is a lifelong journey keep asking questions keep seeking out new knowledge and always strive to do better whether you are solving a tough math problem learning a new sport or making new friends give it your all when you learn something new use that knowledge to improve and grow to our teachers and parents thank you for your unwavering support guidance and encouragement you have been the pillars that have helped our students Reach This milestone to our graduates we are incredibly proud of you you have shown perseverance curiosity and a willingness to learn keep those qualities close to your heart as you move forward remember Maya Angelo's words do the best you can until you know better then when you know better do better let this be your guiding principle as you continue your your educational journey and Beyond congratulations to this wonderful class the future is bright and we can't wait to see all of the amazing things that you will achieve thank you I truly mean every single one of those words this is a great group of students they are a great Community they really take care of each other um and I'm so proud to celebrate them so each um the next steps is we're going to celebrate each class one by one each class will come up we're doing it the good oldfashioned alphabetical order by teacher name um each class room will come up they will sing a song and then we will present their certificates um so let's get ready to go to their teacher their teacher has a sign out sheet she will sign and dismiss the student to you once a student is dismiss they're yours for the day if you would like to take a sibling home you're welcome to but you have to go around the front and dismiss through the office as I'm not able to call classrooms or have families walking in the hallways as there are still students here learning and then last again just a quick reminder if you would like to buy the CD Chon high school did videotape you can see Tim at the back with a camera um fill out a form I believe they're $15 each so again
