##VIDEO ID:ut6fuLdRp2U## thank you great uh welcome uh to our November meeting thank you for coming um they do have a meeting upstairs I put a note on the note on the door to say our our meeting is actually down here um attending the meeting uh we got uh 7:02 start time 70 two is uh Kathy's not with us [Music] okay okay uh welcome Nelson we'll uh be uh turn to you after after one item on the on the agenda we want to get by it um we have consider the minutes of the last meeting y i I reviewed them already you have them so can you move to approve them yep I move to that we approve the minutes for the meeting of October 24th 2024 thank you second um no discussion all those in favor I Ron I and yes yes thank you okay um bson we inv bson thank you for coming course this is uh um Michael Brown hi nice to meet you nice to meet you has been an essential Cog in this this uh in the works here and in other committees I guess too um for some time um you know uh I just told him that we had met yesterday and um that uh we had some conversation about various topics which which probably come up we're going to rehash here um so first of all Nelson I invite you to introduce yourself here and uh uh we we had a nice conversation yesterday but Michael hasn't heard where you've been and what you do sort of thing yeah thank you Ron uh hi Mike nice to uh meet you um yeah I'm Nelson Moy I'm the new Town Administrator I'm coming up on three months now actually I time's flying by actually um yeah you like you said Ron we had a really nice conversation yesterday sort of getting the background behind the the committee sort of the work that you put in over the years um projects are ongoing projects that we might want to do in the future um you know I've been in the public public sector for almost 10 years now and uh almost everywhere I've been I've been involved in the Green community in some way shape or form um my first foray into municipalities was um with the public works department in NAIC and that was sort of voed upon me to um you know um get all the reporting done all the data you know and things of that nature and also you know um submitting for you know like the next round of grand so I'm um pretty familiar with the process what it entails you know the the benefits of doing it I think it's fantastic that we're um taking advantage of all the grants that you know the state um avails to you know US cities and towns um it is a pretty competitive process but you know I I'm I'm proud to see Townsen has um availed ourselves to you know um those grant opportunities as they come along um you know since I've been here I've very been sort of um um kind of um I wouldn't say quite kned deep but certainly have dipped my toes into the Green community stuff that we have going on um in fact today I um signed off on the um the uh the annual reporting that um is due to the state so mrpc sort of did most of the heavy lifting you know with some feedback from um you know some folks here in town and I actually signed up on it this afternoon so I'm like I said I'm I'm sort of very been um involved in the Green community stuff since in the short time I've been here um and I'm excited to sort of close out the this round of um Grand funding to hopefully um you know um start applying you know when the spring um season rolls around uh Ron and I touched on that a little bit um at yesterday's meeting and I'm sure you'll talk about it um you know some of those points in today tonight's agenda so um yeah so I'm um excited to um you know uh introduce myself and you know really excited about what you guys have been doing and you know uh the continued work you you'll do in the future as well so um thank you so much thank you thank you we had a chance to think any more about um how you know we we we we're short of members in this committee and um that's a that's an ongoing problem through a lot of committees I understand that um but we're we're hoping to get some help some organization by the town to help us achieve you know getting getting filling out this committee uh I mean we we can show people that it's rewarding work you know we're saving money and and uh helping uh with the environment and stuff but um we just have no Avenue to show people or talk to people about you know the benefits of being on the committee there you know there's a lot of career benefits there's so many people who are uh you know in town who probably work installing you know uh heating equipment uh uh you know maybe maybe working in in the Solar industry uh that among them it's a it's a career builder to be able to put on your resume that you're participating in a you know volunteer uh thing related to their business and it's we don't have ways of of presenting that to people right that opportunity um hopefully we'll be able to do that we also talked about the grant administrator uh there is a part-time Grant administrator who apparently doesn't have time or you said you might be able to look at it what how how they might be able to assist us I don't know what time they have available but there's certainly things that uh you know we get involved Expediting you know work that's being done if if we had someone here you know most of the time who was able to do that on on on a regular basis it wouldn't be such a surprise to the contractor that we calling him or or burden to us to get things done in time we're not getting our work done in in time I still haven't heard from Frank from my recent inquiry about you know are we going to be able to participate in the spring round or not he hasn't been able to answer me 5 days me like 10 days they asked him in October right asked him again recently yeah you know um yeah Aaron you know the the part-time you know Grant administrator as well as housing coordinator she's been um doing a lot of Green community stuff since I've been here and you know um you know she's been on some of the emails um coordinating of mrpc with the the um the annual reporting which again you know I I signed off on the report earlier this afternoon so she has a lot of experience and she's actually very um good at what she does so I think there is an opportunity for her to help you guys out in you know some way shape or form you know with these grants um you know she can do sort of the the grant writing and you know the reporting and things like that but in terms of you know the day-to-day weekly you know coordinating with contractors and Rise energy or whoever you know that is a that's a different role and that's really not uh within her wheelhouse or you know she doesn't have the bandwith to do that either so you can divide it up very very very uh very well because um I understand that she she couldn't get involved with contractors and stuff but um you know you think about dividing that that role about one identifying uh uh uh projects that should be presented you know that we could could look at is one that's the incoming but once we have a contract I mean most of what we do involves facilities I mean going forward we're going to be asking facilities you know what what do you need to have done what what what building and he told us he want us to work on on Memorial Hall uh I see it turnning the the stuff that um Rob told us when he answered the question there that told me he has regular progress uh uh reports that he has working with the contractors so why not add to that you know what there's a deadline we have to meet you know and and now he is Expediting and and checking with how they're doing with the concept that there's an end date cuz right now apparently there isn't one as far far as he's concerned he's not pushing for things to get done um as far as I know you know because they're open-ended get a year and a half to finish and you still get your money you know right of urgency to this that right is not happening yeah I I think rise at least you know I have um spoken I think I mentioned it probably yesterday uh I've spoken to a Frank um probably one or once or twice and um he is looking to finish up this round of Grants and you know close it out so that we can then um you know apply for um you know the the the spring round of grant funding so I believe I think he is you know maybe he doesn't show it um but I think there is an urgency on his part to get that um finished up by the end of this calendar year um so that we can close things out and then you know um apply for for funding for for the for the springtime so um okay but he's but he's not answering the inquiry he could say that I'm working on it it's going to be close you know you could answer me right I I I agree his communication skills you know can be improved upon and um you know um I'll see if I can get them on the horn in the next couple days to get you an answer in writing um and then we can move forward from there but I'm almost positive he is looking to close out the the project um by the end of calendar year um because because he literally said it to me in one of um our phone conversations so I'll see if I can um put the bug in his ear and to you know get a reply to as soon as possible so that we can get some clarity on um what the future looks like right I don't think I have not spoken with Frank I my my my uh inter actions with him are um entirely uh email which we copy other people I I've you know had some email conversations to him but again I've also spoken to him on the phone um so you know nice nice guy so um you know I'll um I'll also make it a point to tell him you know um he needs to um communicate better and more quickly to us because you know um it makes it seem like there's no urgency on his part um when you know um you know we're looking to get things done in a in a timely fashion so I I'll mention that as well I'm glad you're having this experience because it all right so you need to have your own experience with him and I and I'm I've nearly given up as you know but the fact is that we haven't had any complaints about their installations of light bulbs and controls we have have heard some issues about other things you know more complicated stuff that they've done that that um Rob thought you know he's he's having uh quality issues he's ongoing issues split um I think we have so much light bulb work to be done I I would I would give it to rise and with the note that we want this done you know this this a lot of work for the light bulb we want it done in in in in the two Grant rounds you know it's up to us to bid to get a put together a an application that's competitive and it's up to him to get it done by by June you know so that we can participate in the fall again right yeah so it's going to be and he's failed so yeah so is just isn't just now it was last last summer and all right so we've been through this before Nelson I'm just a little frustrated that you know you're learning about it for the first time but um it's been a big it falls on me you know to try to get the stuff done and then he doesn't get it done so right so I'll I'll I I'll I'll impress upon him that um we're um has that we haven't been quite happy with his level of customer service and you know he needs to step up and improve I and I I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and you know um hoping he will rise to the occasion uh no pun intended um and you know we we'll see what happens but again I'll um I'll give him a call probably as early as tomorrow just to you know um I not going to necessarily read him the riot act but um you know I I I maybe uh it coming from me you know maybe it'll really impress upon him you know he needs to if you're going to talk to them you can let them know because you have no other way of knowing that uh I have respect for their technical skills you know they've done great it's it's their ability to get things done on time and and uh you know correctly that we're concerned about right all right um so um anything else uh that you'd like to add uh uh nope that that's it thank you so much for the invite um I do need to sign off and um you know I'll I'll listen to this uh recording afterwards but I think what you guys are going to talk about we probably touched upon quite a bit yesterday as well um but I appreciate the invite and I really enjoyed you know speaking to you guys you know especially talking to you Ron yesterday for almost an hour you know I can tell you guys are very passionate about you know these projects you know you you mentioned decarbonization quite a few times you know so I I'm you know really glad to hear you guys um really thinking about these things and you know really um caring about it so um um thank you again and uh I'll talk to you guys soon hey um Nelson before you sign off yeah um I just wanted to bring one thing up which is related to the work we do but also separate in some ways um I've been involved over the years um with with the issue of outdoor lighting in Townsen and just wanted to um suggest that it's something maybe another time you and I could talk about um in a nutshell in recent years our bylaws have not been enforced and the previous building inspector just for very reasons actually I don't know what the reasons were but he didn't want to enforce them and you know we we had I I appealed his lack of enforcement to the zoning board they agreed with me we then went in front of the select board they agreed with me and then right after all that uh he resigned and I guess we have a new building uh commissioner who I I had met but anyway so it's been it's been kind of an issue and over the last five years or so many many businesses in town have installed lights that are out of compliance and you know I provided a list with photographs and recommendations on what could be done to correct it and maybe out of a dozen or so you know two or three got corrected but there's still it's still a big issue that has not been resolved so I don't want to take up a lot of time right now but just wanted to sort of let you know that that's something maybe maybe I could sort of explain explain it you know sure yeah well we can talk offline about it and you know see what we can do you are right we do have a new uh building inspector um great guy you know he's he's he's mainly part-time because that that's sort of all the I think the town I don't know the sort of history behind why it ended up being a part-time uh position but Bob garide he he seems like a really good guy so you know you and I can talk offline and see what we can do about um you know getting um the out lighting into compliance so yeah we can do that offline all right great I I appreciate it thanks okay yep I talk to you guys later okay all right thanks ala bye bye y take care all right I uh wish to share my screen there we go I think I got it yeah I got it all right we got it okay I actually printed out a copy of that question okay well okay well we look at it together then yeah the things I spot I was hoping B he'd come to meeting so we could you know answer the follow on questions right away I mean I mean the obvious thing is you know as head of the first one as head of the Phil Department he makes day-to-day reporting on progress okay day-to-day reporting on progress uh if you had a progress chart he'd be able to tell he'd be able to tell where we are you know what's going to get done in time he he he's he's I think I I think that you know one I'm here in the Phil facilities department is a place for for this stuff to be expedited you know he can see what you know the job and he can see what needs to be done he's familiar with the building he can assign the reporting process to the to his janitor whoever is responsible for maintenance at the building and say just let me know at the end of the week you know what progress they make they didn't come this week they didn't come at all get the with Frank well I I think that's the way it should work although I think Nelson's going to be is a little slower on the uptake than I'd like um uh for that uh right Nel I would like you to know that that I think that that facilities manager is in the best position to expedite the Green community work all right um we asked his opinion on regarding their technical work air sealing and insulation and stuff and they say their technical work is good workmanship but their leadership is not that great for technical issues on getting back fixing problems du third party installs is I didn't know didn't know to what degree third parties are involved presumably rise would have either the same or different I don't know I have to figure it out uh then another contractor we had another contractor instead of Rise do they have the same skilled or it would it be worse you know but maybe I guess these projects often they're have to have subcontractor he mentions here um yeah they have to subcontract electrical then the opinion in regarding um Administration Works quote politeness meeting deadlines he's overo materal he says a lot of time due to material being shipped out of or out of stock I think it's probably because not ordering it soon enough out of that yeah all right and um he had some Pro he been had problems from last year's installation of vfds and still waiting on response I'm not that's not really saying that they haven't been responsive yet and [Music] um obviously he wants to focus on Memorial Hall next um and I'm I put that as a priority for uh Frank to or whoever is going to quote to quote I'm not sure that Rob understands this or maybe knows him but the the U whoever's doing the quote will be working from a menu of options that is available from Mass sa it's not like we can say this is the boiler week this is the heat pump we want they're going to tell us which one we're going to get this what I come down to and I think uh anyone regardless of which contractor is a will be about the same um I want to check that with with green communities but that's what I'm looking at um cold building hours and hours of maintenance for what they have in Memorial Hall in other words their their heating system is sufficiently unreliable that it would actually make sense to upgrade it so it makes sense to replace it now whether rep if replacing it with gas boilers there'll be no incentive from the green communities program right if we do replace it with electric then they'll be you know out of pocket for the town but whether that's the same or greater than the gas boilers would have been I don't know and then there's the whole conversation around backup you know you you make you Electrify this thing it come cold in the morning well you can fix the boiler but you can't you can't come up with electricity unless you got a backup generator there is a backup generator but it's smallish for this building I don't know if they could draw power from the um if the uh I I would assume I don't know it's a big question it's all part of the conversation that yet to happen um you know does the fire department have a generator is it big enough to do both buildings you know I you know that sort of um but we got a good response from Rob I'm grateful for that if we have further questions he available to ask yeah I see the questions you yes on street lights yeah you know back when we did the street light replacement um I in retrospect I mean I I it would have been great if we could have had street lights that could be controlled like not have them go all night which would have saved energy as well as helped with light pollution you know that sort of thing um but I think when we made the decision that we were just going to lease from Unitil I could be wrong but I don't think those kinds of things were an option it was pretty straightforward we'll put in LED lights of this many watts in this location and I don't think they had that kind of sophisticated type controls you know but anyway I think no there no there aren't any timers or anything like that I mean he says photo sell so in other words they can wind it off they go on when it's dark yeah so um yeah they all come on and off if it's dark enough I suppose if a cloud comes over some of them will come on sometimes during a total solar eclipse go the street lights went on where I was watching okay so but anyway this is this this is a chart that comes right out of [Music] um am this is printed from MBI I have to format it all that but chart from the street lights and I had to take out 2020 because that screw up the chart it shows it has an aid you know blip in 2020 um I'll look at that again but um make a note here 2020 that's why I pull I I know I intentionally pulled it out when I was doing this cuz this this is um this is for Light street lights you it this is street lights um just the street lights right just street lights and converted to BTUs oh interesting they yeah that's another thing the uh Mii does everything in millions of BTUs uhuh that's so that's a report reporting you get so what this is telling me is that in 2018 it was relatively High because it had Chang what's frustrating is that the file you look at when when you're running MI I believe that it's labeled K kilowatt hours but when you print it out it prints out Milli it's the same you know gra same pattern sure just different units different units well so it's pretty consistent I mean it went down after we I assume we actually put them in sometime in the late 2019 yeah during 2019 November December 2019 December November to January in 2019 they went in right and it was very consistent uh in the following years and it looks like it's running about less than half uh or about half of the original amount um and obviously there's a seasonal effect where if you use the most in around this winter solstice make totally Mak sense um I know that the cost didn't go down by half but that's because we're also you know the their their rates filled in maintenance and so it's not purely proportional to energy usage I didn't bring the other but of course did go down substantially not I have I had also that chart that I had last time that I had the erors on and I fixed them but right right all right so I'm just going to show it to you we're sitting here that [Music] sh why can't I share it I can't even get this thing to move oh there now I got to share there we [Music] go here around this way so this this row is it is still screwed up I haven't made adjustment yet cuz I I couldn't believe I could I couldn't find these numbers in the main sheet and I couldn't find these either but it may be that I ran that this is the uh calendar year not the fiscal year uhuh that's the only excuse that I can come up with this is the actual numbers that we should it said it 40 and 33 instead of 50 and 33 oh see h that one very close this one's close this one this one's way this one's way off right yeah and I ran this I couldn't believe my eyes so I run it like three times I just I just went to Mei copied the row and then pasted it here and that that's what it is uh you can get messed up sometimes if there are formulas in those cells that that depend on other cells and I don't think I don't I don't know it was just numbers and yeah it should have just copy yeah or you can always even if there are fun you can just copy the values but anyway yeah so what is this showing it's uh it's showing kilowatt hours you energy usage and cost by year right from Mei and it looks like uh looks like it's going down which where the transition is where we 2019 which here a second right around 2019 P I don't like my values so it goes down to the 1213 range originally was in the 18 to 20 range now it's in the 123 for some reason mhm yeah yeah so you know several th 6 7,000 a year savings they they forecasted um a savings this is this is the original you know I've been asking for data and everything we trying to sort out what the cost is per lamp CU we know the luminaries are figured in here I think it's some some point we got that yeah here's there here's the dollars they gave us here yeah but they don't match exact that's a that's the agreement this is the January one so that's what we ended up with see is that number MH instead of that number so instead of 16 it ends up being a different number anyway then on the on the actual contract and they predict $7,300 savings annual that's actually very close is that what we got yeah not every year yeah not sure why some years this this is this is a calculated number I was trying to see what dollar value per kilowatt hour that would be right um however so looks like in you know we in some years we did get about that or more and other but it doesn't has less to do with electricity than it does think cuz um the old cuz even back here we were paying for the luminares we're renting the old BS right so the difference between rentals is this and this the cost per you know kilowatt hour everything is the same right so we we we went down like $4 was it 406 per per bulb right but they have extended that somehow into a monthly into a per kilowatt hour where's the where's the calculation over here where do they how do they come up with this well they've taken the cost of the bulbs and they've used this as a standard February April you know 9,000 KW hours made to July 7,000 all that's and I can't even this is relatively correct because you would expect there to be more kilowatt hours in in February April in November January then in you know the summer one months right then that's way it is hour is but it doesn't it can't be rate a charge per kilowatt hour because it it it's n that's 9,000 kilowatt hours right that's not 9 Kil that's what we're using is what we us what we were using there in that period was n this is you years right not not oh wait the 20 so 28 watt now I don't know if this number has is directly related to this dollar value but they're they're saying the kilowatt hour is used by one light bulb that's a 28 watt light bulb if you figure it out if I don't know do the calcul of approximately it might be 9 kilowatt hours for 3 months it it is 9,000 not no you sure it's 9,000 20 well let's do let's do a little quickly 28 Watts which is let's just get M Mr up and then Mei that'll all right I'm I'm just going to make sure I understand what we're talking about here all right I'm going to get out my good great my phone calculator okay so 28 Watts let's do kilowatts that's 028 right kilow is is one life bulb let's say times average over the seasons let's say 12 hours a day so times 12 that's how many uh kilowatts in a day and let's say in a in a three-month period multiply that by 90 I'm getting 30 so where am I off I'm getting 30 kilowatt hours which is obviously wrong I got I get going here uh 28 Watts so28 [Music] kilowatt and it's on is this per month these supposed to be the kilowatt hour shown oh this is monthly yes these these numbers are per month during the February to April period yes okay let's do this again no this is this is a to I think this is a total of three three and three that's like a well the kilowatt hours shown on customers monthly bill oh no following this is coming up quick because it would make it would make more sense if we're talking about monthly um but K separation of rate periods or number of days in Billings loaded table and well they don't explain what these numbers exactly mean but if they mean if they were the number of kilowatt hours in a month that would actually make sense because this is the number of watts and if we multiply that by let's say 12 just 12 hours in a day times 30 days is 10 so yeah I I would say these are energy usage per month by each B and obviously goes up as you go to the higher wattage lights but these are these are kilowatt hours yeah not thousand just kilowatt hours nine kilowatt hour for one for one p yeah yeah and I believe it's for a month the highway department like the build to surch well they call this a building what or [Music] that I mean it's possible that the savings will start to go be less than what they projected because prices are going up right focus on straight lights mhm and [Music] then that's thei yeah over here I think I'm going to have to back out to back out all right and got to move this so I can get this bar spre the spreadsheet in here all right so in spreadsheet I should have printed this one um okay so you got the uh this is what this is this is copy from M Mii by the way it says kill hours 33,000 33,000 this is this is on an annual basis right so let's just look at the monthly and which is going to come out of very high 20 uh 2016 2016 2017 see they February March April mhm 9 N and nine MH that's just round it up May June July it's two two and two would be a six why would it be so different why is it only a quarter of BM that doesn't make sense that's because this this is this is probably fairly focus when you look at it on a on a graph MH um is that 2016 we didn't go back to 2016 on here but if you go back 2016 it's all you know messed up H oh you can see that on a graph right here yeah it looks like if you look at these it's from the highest to the lowest is less than a factor of two because I guess the length of nighttime when you the lights are on you know well that's just as an this is this is a uh fiscal year thing so it starts in July right so it happens to start at the time of year when with the lowest usage of street lights and it comes right back the other end right the um but that there's less height to this difference yeah here than there is there and the difference is going to be I believe actually no I mean proportionately it's just a little less than a factor of two right you're a little above three here and you're a little under six and here you're basically at seven and it Peaks at 12 so I think they're consistent actually they um proportionally it goes up with that's three and A2 uhhuh and that's five five and call six three and a half and six difference of two and a half right what the difference terms of the ratio the difference here is from 7 to 12 that's five so that is double no but I mean the what I mean is the usage from the lowest time of year let's say June to the highest which would be December is just a little less than a factor of two so in this case it goes from 7 to 12 right so it goes up by let's say a factor of one I don't know 1.8 or something right seven to 12 roughly it's not quite double seven to 12 not quite double right yeah I'm not thinking of differences I'm thinking of a ratio ratio is less a little less than two same here it's you got six and then at the in June you have a little above three so well the ratio I ratio is less than two a little bit less than two on both which makes sense because if you know if you look up well how many hours of day and night you know it's it's all it's the same thing it's a little less than a factor of two difference from Summer to Winter I think right need the kilowatt hours yeah the factor that's the same every month regardless of how much electricity you use there is I it's it's again you're right I don't know how that is calculated how many of these $716 is there in every month nine and eight can't be 18 can't be 52 of these absolutely not it just doesn't add up well I think they just charge they charge a flat rate for every bul all right so so in any given month if I use you know 2 3,000 kilowatt hours right how does that relate to my bill I don't think it has any effect I think they just they charge seven I don't know if that's is that is that the entire cost to us of the of that life good question that's what we don't we don't we don't have we have the number of vaults that they installed that's not on this sheet but that is on I think the answer that is that it is I think that is the total charge you know how they got their number yeah it's it's got both the Lumin a charge uhhuh and the um delivery and electricity in it that's that's oh okay so this appears to be a lot of it but then there's some extra stuff yes and what we don't have here what what did they use for a number to come up with that you go backwards that is that number is 90 * 1145 time this time that that is 15,000 they did the same thing down here that's why it come down it has okay these are monthly charges so it be right 90 times that times 12 uh right there you've got somewhere around 12,000 or whatever then a little extra because of these delivery charges 4 cents per kilowatt hour I don't know how they calculate that well that's that's that's that's I I tried to go backwards and I can confirm that the 15662 is is these all multiplied by each other bang done now they they claiming the difference in you know cost is going to be the difference between this old bolts and this new BT right I mean it makes sense you know I'm like an awful lot of our savings have to do with the change in b not the change in electricity right but they Lumin air charg is lower substantially lower you know yeah $145 7 that's not exactly directly proportional to the reduced energy usage but it's strongly related to it you know reducing energy usage by roughly half I think this this is a lower rate because there there's less maintenance I don't know the original cost of the well I think the main I think the main reason is that they use less electricity and maybe maybe less maintenance also uh we still don't know how would we apply these numbers to come up with any given Bill 3,000 Kow hours I mean how do you what's the calculation you do to come up with a bill I don't have that and and I'd like to be able to go backwards take out the the Lumin AES you know the difference in Lumin AES and that would be just the electricity Sav but there is there's less electricity saved here than we uh yeah there may the the answer to your question may be in there I don't know if I can figure it out right sitting here right now but you're welcome to take that home with you and what I am going to I think there's a certain logic to this I'm just I'm just without wasting too much time I'm just going to try out uh we have 90 of these 28 watt bulbes the luminary charge is 739 per month so I just messed it up okay [Music] 90 90 times 7 39 * 12 so that's the annual so so far I'm up to $798 just from the Lumin a charge that's a lot less than 15,000 then we have the delivery charge per kilowatt hour but I don't know how many kilowatt hours unless that's somewhere else what do I assume so yeah it's going to take a little uh delivery charge per kilowatt hour basic service rate which is uh is based on the average R in effect 2018 um is that also per kilowatt hour it kind of looks like an amount that would be you know it's about 11 cents it's like 15 cents per kilowatt hour and the question is is that what was that other chart that showed how many kilowatt hours they were assuming each type of bul um here yeah uh okay so we'd have to look yeah so I think it would come from these numbers so these bulbs again I think these are per month but um I think you're right so 9 what does that doesn't have give you a it doesn't actually say doesn't give you a kilowatt hours February to April kilowatt hours well you look at that and you think oh that must be the kilowatt hours for 3 months but what they they're doing a quote there so they're trying to figure out um you know based on something that that was that's the usage okay so and I think that the basis was something like this that says um 37 I'm thinking 111 K so it's 11 kilowatt hours per year that bulb times um Kow per year [Music] um times 90 of them so this is the total and then times uh times roughly approximately 0.15 I'm not going to exactly so that I don't know that gives us another 1,500 that still doesn't add up to this so I so I haven't I Haven that may be the a difference in I don't know yeah that this is just this part and then this part was approximately 8,000 when I calculated it so I'm now I'm up to about almost 10,000 but not 15,000 so uh maybe I'll I'll try to figure out well I'll be doing the same thing it's like it's it's like a you know you try you can divide back by all that but you got to when you multiply this by this by this by this you get that right oh wait a minute but I we I should be we should be looking at this this is what we're this is the new new one yeah yeah I was using the numbers for the new bumps so um actually no now I think I did figure it yes I think it will it does add up to about it is about right 9500 is what we so if this is this is about, 1500 right if you remember that remember 1500 and um just this L that's everything but the Lumin air charge and the Lumin air charge is uh 20 is um 90 [Music] times uh times $7.39 and that's per month so let's multiply by 12 okay approximately 8,000 plus the 1500 there you go that's it so that what that tells me is yes these are per let's let's let's let's write that out let's write that out so it's going to be I have write it right on this page it's going to be the count it's it's this mhm times this mhm times 12 yep yep that's so whatever this times this is that is the monthly charge for luminary and to be this times this plus this times this that that is what we're paying for the Lumin per and then there's electricity separate right and I don't think they're metering it so it's just based on their assumption and these are their assumptions yeah and they they sort of make sense but I I've run into periods looking looking for periods this is like uh 2018 right so they were using 2017 I'm assuming as the basis and we come down to 2017 this is the fiscal year February to April 3 33 that's the nine May [Music] to 266 46 52 7 yeah you get S was it uh August well this is the notes you're looking at are total kilowatt hours for all street lights put together so it's going to be a it is this is only this account right uh this is all this is this is the detail for all this account it's all there right for the street lights that's a account number yeah so it's all the street lights right all of them just the that one bow right but it doesn't make sense yep November to January supposedly used the 2017 2017 no this moves faster than you thought November [Music] 31 [Music] 64 so for example let's say in a typical month it's 3,000 right so that would make sense if you think about so there were 90 of these so 90 time 9 is you know uh there 800 810 yeah all right I don't remember how many there were those big ones is's only a few but um oh so the mainly the rest of it is 16 of these that one went down 16 of these 100 watt ones of these so 16 time $1 16 * 11 is you know about 70 or so [Music] um charge times 12 I don't know if this makes sense but you know do it on spreadsheet I'm trying to do it in my head see this this see this this come comes right out it says thousands right and this is labeled kilowatt so they're yeah yeah hours but they're only presting nine instead of well no because this it is nine because they're talking about one light bone it's 9,000 so they they Dro they drop it is 9,000 9,000 is what they no no but these these numbers are all of these numbers are in kilowatt hours not thousands kilowatt hours all these are in kilowatt kilow now the reason is it's in the thousands is because you're adding this is per in the whole month so so you're taking this many kilowatt hours multiplying it by the number of bulbs and in the case that this is 90 so right there you got 800 or so kilowatt hours and you've got um this is 32 times however many of these there were I don't know how how many of the 16 32 * 16 these are these are thousands not no no that that is kilowatt hours because these numbers are one bulb for one month that's how many kilowatt hours one light bulb will use in a month oh okay so that is per month per bow than yeah yeah these numbers are per month all the buls so I think it makes sense but we have to add it all up you know because it's depends on the number of bulbs and some of the bulbs have higher wattages you know so for the for this time period that is that is the number they'll apply for this time period That's the number apply yeah that makes sense I don't know why they have to make it so complicated you should see the the rate chart you know if it's a street with a dead end it's a chart if it's a street without it you know it's it's it's like if I I think prob some someone's job over there full time is to figure out what chart does this go on you know what rate chart all right that that'll make more sense to me now you want to uh you have this somewhere because you had it long time ago I could I Pro I'm sure I have it yeah this came from um January 2018 John sent it to me we went around trying to figure out what was going on buls for a while but then that was the Sol I would say there's uh three out of four chance I can find that on my computer which I don't have right now but all right did did did you uh have any print outs from the um from the um master plan project uh I didn't print it out no I just worked actually just worked on it today and what I so I now have like a Word document I can't actually email it to you because it's 50 I don't know why but when I converted the PDF of the master plan to word it's 50 megabyte file I I don't know why um so anyway I can um I'll put it on one drive or something and send you a link maybe if you want to see it I mean I can do that you know tomorrow or whatever all right uh there's no hurry for that uh because I don't if you saw my oh yeah so um Jessica it's not working with us anymore yeah nothing's I don't think much is going to happen with that project yeah I mean eventually I guess um it' be great if they hire a replacement for her and I guess we can be with the planning board and talk about what proposed changes you want to yeah we'll continue with our project so it's ready when they're ready yeah um now we already you already have the sheet for the uh remaining um work this this is this is the sort by this is the whole list that I have remaining including stuff that we're probably not going to do because it's like 3% grow profit return on investment it's just sorted all on return and this is the pro this is what is available to work we'd actually consider and you know I I he it's um seems to be frank thing to quote as little as possible but I'm asking him to quote some stuff down here on the lower end of the list cuz if you end up getting a bunch of the the high Roi stuff sometimes you can fit in one of these to it's an awkward dollars you're trying to fill in you can fill in one of those without doing too much har to our total right right so that's reason why I asked them to quote some of those but these are the ones that I've asked them to quote as our priority that's a future we're not going to do anything with a Spalding cool right away um this is this is the a big priority because you know we got to get started talking about it it's not either right um all right [Music] um I still have not heard from Frank regarding the work that we must get done to do the next round but if he does um I'm sending him that uh that that that Excel sheet is you know we want to get quoted on this stuff for the next yeah um where where just just to remind me where did this list essentially come from like we had we originally had a quotation right that had uh I think 70 80 90 items on it so these are what all of the things we haven't done but kind of prioritized yes essentially well yeah that's correct and in this case by payback and U that right that's really the way that Frank will will quote it and we need those are the ones we need to come up with a $200,000 you know Grant amount is that still the amount the kind of magic number that you could get a grant you can get up to 200,000 that includes the $55,000 for uh Mr mcrp Right um all right we're still waiting from here from Frank when I do we send him the inquiry um we had also from the last meeting we had discussed the non-conform exterior El at Spalding and you got the answer for that rise says they didn't do anything it wasn't related to Green community projects was that right so it wasn't related to any of the Green community projects no and if there was something done there it wouldn't have been Town it would have been the schools right so next would be to contact the facilities manager right who I talked to I actually corresponded with if it's the same person I don't even remember the name I will I will provide you with a name would you like to contact him sure all right I previously contacted him and the business manager Nancy I think right Nancy hin Nancy hin yeah I asked I had a question related to the sign that was supposedly only going to be on till 9:00 p.m. and it was on all night and that was maybe sometime last year and I asked about it and I did was told that it was like a a malfunction which was corrected but that's the only contact I've had with that group before okay um I wanted to contact him as well but separately my inquiry would be to ask him what his priorities are relative to the school lights you know the stuff that's remaining at the schools I think I'd like to try to develop this kind of a dialogue with them because eventually we'll have to you know consider doing boilers and you know electrication and all that stuff was cool big deal um so I I'll handle that separately um we have any topics any additional topics not expected none Forum none we have this room we have a room I don't know which one right now Reser reserved for the 11th that okay that uh you know I might want to reschedule till after the holiday because we don't have that much pressing right now if we were able to get into the next round we may want to you know meet then to preview what we're going or whatever you know but yeah um if we can't get in the next round that's kind of not much we can do all right so we'll say yes to that yep it's okay with me wait adjournment now um you ready to adjourn yeah you move we adjourn I move we adjourn and run seconds and you say yes I and R say yes separately and we'll be adjourned now at 810
