not need reminding a cowardly and dastardly act by mayor Rossy who for no other reason than political spite removed my son Jason rinker's Memorial monument from the pump track Park this past summer after the overwhelming support of this community successful initiative petition and a file Tor claim for vandalism the issue was finally put to bed with an agreement on September 30th 20124 I specifically want to thank council president Pat rudo who worked feverishly on this to put this a resolution however mayor Rossy would not sign an agreement agement unless the name of my son was removed from the donation plaque referencing uh below the park sign which my family donated I agreed against the wishes of my family mayor Rossy just had to win something without any regard for the bad press he caused our town for this Council who were put on the spot to vote whether to replace the monument or not as required by the certified petition nor the Contin harassment of our family in the most sensitive and private manner for the loss of my son I agreed to remove my son's name only to replace it by recognizing the many other children families have lost here I know I am not alone in this most horrendous life-altering event that could happen to a parent I wrote the new verbiage to read this sign donated in the memory of children who left us too soon I was told the mayor was having the new sign made after waiting three months I realized he wasn't making anything I re I relayed the message that I will make the sign as initially agreed I ordered the sign and when the Mayor found out he had rushed to the DPW to have them make a sign within one day when it could have been made all along in the past three months in his Haste The Sign he had finally made had the wrong font the wrong verbage and the spacing was incorrect according to our signed agreement the font I chose was delicate for a delicate statement the correct sign one I had made is now hung under the donated Park sign I am here not to make a spectacle of this issue any longer a most desp a act on my family and memory of my son but because we have a mayor who has little regard for the truth seems to thrive on misdeeds and misinformation I'm returning the sign that he had made because it's Town property and I'm doing it on the record to protect myself from the behaviors that have become hallmarked by this
