##VIDEO ID:H_TTT1y_l64## okay this time we're going to um swear in our new board member okay so you just have to raise your right hand okay and you would you just read this obviously there's things if you don't want to say you could change but you just read this the whole page yep okay I Ruth dgani do solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the constitution of the state of New Jersey and that I will bear truth faith and allegiance to the same and to the governments established in the United States and this state under the authority of the people so help me God I Ruth DG iani do solemnly swear that I will faithfully impartially and justly perform all the duties of the office of board member according to the best of my ability so help me God I Ruth djovani do solemnly swear that I possess the qualifications of membership prescribed by law including a specific declaration that I am not disqualified as a voter and uh and a specific declaration that I am not disqualified due to a conviction of a crime or offense listed in njsa 18a 21-1 and I and also that I will Faithfully discharge the duties of the office so help me God congratulations thank you this is quite a mouthful take your St you could go to your seat okay thank you okay Melissa you can call the miss Mr here okay notice of the August 26th meeting of the Board of Education was emailed to the clerks of the bus of essex's North cell and rosand and to the township of Fairfield and the editor of the progress on January 5th 2024 and the Star Ledger on the same day so I just want to say welcome everyone um I want to officially welcome Ruth to the board of ed we're excited to have you and I think great thing so we're happy to have you on board thank you um I also just wanted to mention today was officially the first day um back for our staff um many of us board members attended the breakfast uh the teachers came back enthusiastic energenic uh it was just so nice to see everyone come back just very full of life and excited to hit the ground running I just always want to thank the administration for welcoming us you know to attend the breakfast I nice um you know nice event for us all to be together um we uh awarded some um to some of the teachers know teachers who attended this year and then I always enjoy during this breakfast and have the teachers stand up having been here five years 10 years 15 um and it's always so nice to see so many longstanding teachers in our district two teachers in particular tiny Glen has been here years and lot of stand many I just want to know back to school breakfast school starts on Wednesday students be Wednesday Thursday they're Friday mes just want to El comments members I just wanted to add that the presentations were well organized well preped and I think they're going to be very the students are going to be receiving a lot of good things coming from the uh District very I I just wanted to welcome all the new admins that we have on staff um major actually I think all of them were internal promotions um and it's just great to see the continuity and the excitement that they all have in their new positions and I we're all just looking forward to a great school year with a lot of innovative and new ideas coming about so um I think it's going to be great for the kids and for the school community so we all look forward to that the negotiations committee met on and this meeting again this Thursday to add St then we'll move on to public comments we'll open the floor for public comments on agenda items do we have any we'll move on to finance Joe do you want to take Finance for us please questions comments be do you want to take builds questions comments do you want take please questions comments any questions or comments comments on non agenda items faor
